    Birthdays and Anniversaries
  • To celebrate Towa's 2020 birthday, a birthday project by the Kin of Tokoyami was made as a way of extending their thanks to her. The videos intro includes a carefully planned coordination in Apex Legends that led to the in-game creation of BiBi's face (owo), a Big Kusa, and later the Japanese writing for "Towa". Rounding out the whole video are various fan-favorite clips of Towa, and many thank you/happy birthday messages from fans across the world, courtesy of #TowaSamaWorldwide. You can see her reaction here.
  • Sora's 3rd year anniversary stream is one for both Sora herself and Hololive as a whole. Considering the global pioneer in the industry that the organization has become, it's hard to imagine its initial roots were seen as nothing more than what could be considered a doomed project at its inception, with Sora's very first stream only having 13 viewers compared to the more than 27,000 viewers that were watching her anniversary stream live on average (the live viewership peaked at just over 36,000). The entire stream was a retrospective on Sora's career as Hololive's first idol, from showcasing the early days up to who she is now and how she's grown as a content creator and performer. It also showed off an evolution of her 3D character model, culminating in the issuance of an entirely new model that is a major upgrade in every way to the one she had used previously. She had also read aloud a special heartfelt message given to her by A-chan as a surprise and was overwhelmed with emotion to the point of sobbing.
  • Korone's Birthday was quite a celebration with one of the "gifts" being a theme from Yuzo Koshiro, using the SFC sound set. This might overlap with awesome moments It can be listened to here (her birthday stream) at 9:00.
  • Mel's 3rd birthday stream had her read out a letter addressed to her fans that somewhat addressed the controversy regarding a harassment campaign against her that occurred towards the end of 2019, forcing her to stop all streaming activities including her 2nd birthday celebration. In the letter, she stated that while the whole affair was taking place, she had considered quitting many times just to be done with it but that the messages of support she had received kept her going and gave her the strength to continue her career so as to not let her fans down. She affirms that it's because of the community that she's still around and able to celebrate her birthday with everyone.
  • When Rushia was streaming Minecraft for her 2021 birthday, she spent most of the time alone, doing very little interaction with other hololive members. However, that changed when Ollie decided to drop by and wish her well for her birthday. While Ollie didn't anticipate anything else, Rushia decided to call her using Discord, and the two had a very sweet discussion together.
  • During Miko's birthday stream, she had received a video made for her she was going to play, but had advanced note that she would receive a special message in it ...that was from none other than Ned Luke, who played Michael from GTA V. A video played of him giving her a shout out and addressing her with familiar terms, such as hoping that she plays in the most Elite way, before ending with her signature line associated with her playing. Needless to say Miko was over the moon to receive this message from him, given that the game means so much to her it made her so happy to have her favourite character's voice actor deliver a birthday shout out to her:
Ned Luke: And remember...FAQ is love.
  • For Miko's 3rd anniversary, she received not just Ned Luke's autograph, but Shawn Fonteno's (Franklin's actor) and Steven Ogg's (Trevor's actor) as well. To say she was surprised is an understatement.
  • Hololive EN's six-month anniversary celebration collab stream featured a fair share of heartwarming moments as the girls reminisced about the memories they've made and what great friends they've become:
    • Gura's speech near the end, where she became so emotional that she was audibly choked up. This lead Kiara to say that for the one year anniversary, she would like all of them to be in the same room together, because hearing Gura cry made Kiara want to hug her.
Kiara: [sounding legitimately worried] Oh my god, are you crying, Gura?! [...] Generally, I just wanna say, I hope that when we do our one year anniversary, that we can all be together in one room and just hug each other, and... yeah... You know, that would be really nice 'cause now I hear Gura crying, that makes me sad, I wanna hug her, I wish I could hug her.
  • April 4th, 2021 was Calliope's official birthday celebration.
    • The stream began at 11 PM Underworld Japan time, and Calli herself didn't peek onto the screen until 11:08. In that 8 minute span, she had already accumulated over $20,000 in Superchats, the majority of which were in denominations of $444.44 to keep with the theme (She ended up with more than $55,000 in Superchats by the end of the stream) She mentioned that one fan even went so far as to officially name a star after her. The chat was flooding with heart emojis, and Calli herself could barely keep her composure, as she was flustered and overwhelmed with happiness.
    • HoloMyth peers aside, the people to call in on the stream are those who Calli has collab'd with. It gives a good perspective on how far she has come and how much she's managed to reach to the other hololive branches when you see the variety of people coming in, some of them doing their best communicate in English despite it not being their first language. Even A-chan dropped in with a surprise call to offer her birthday wishes, almost entirely in English!
    • Calli was absolutely stunned when she learned that the RZA left her a happy birthday message on twitter. She didn't even know about it until the chat pointed it out.
  • For Ina's birthday on May 20 2021, a fan project was launched to collect fan art for a Times Square ad to post for 7 minutes every hour. The project itself cost a fair bit of money in addition to the time involved from all contributing artists, and Ina herself was taken aback by how passionate her community was to put something like this together for her when first hearing of it in advance.
  • During Astel's birthday stream, he revealed that not only did he receive a birthday message from Ollie, but that she had commissioned a special song (from the writer of Id:entity, no less) for him about how she much she admires him and that as his 'little sister' she'll always support him from the bottom of her heart. It's especially heartwarming knowing how Astel and Ollie have become as close as siblings, and during her 6-month anniversary stream, she fondly looks back on how her spontaneous invitation to Astel to play Apex has lead them to their relationship now.
  • Considering how much Gura wears her emotions on her sleeve, it should come as little surprise that she spent large portions of her birthday stream on June 20th on the verge of Tears of Joy as her fans and genmates showed her just how much they love and appreciate her.
    • As a gift from her fans, she received special birthday greetings from Devil May Cry voice actors Reuben Langdon (Dante) and Dan Southworth (Vergil). Gura almost broke down and had to regain her composure because she feels so blessed to have such a wonderful fanbase. She held together for most of the stream, but said she wished she brought a tissue box after the words of encouragement from her genmates and the fan mail that people sent in.
    • Another gift Gura recieved from her fans was a PDF of an artbook containing 250 pages full of heartfelt messages from fans thanking Gura for the positive influence she's had on them, from inspiring them to start expressing themselves creatively, to just cheering them up by being happy and fun to watch. Several of the messages had Gura audibly choking up as she tried to read some of them on stream, for example DuDuL thanking Gura for being the inspiration to take up animation again.
    • It wasn't included in the stream, but she also received birthday greetings from Roger Clark (Arthur Morgan) and Nick Apostolides (Leon Kennedy).
  • Iofi's 2021 Birthday stream more than greatly demonstrates the reach and impact she has had in the Vtubing world and beyond in her then-fifteen months in hololive. Her branchmates, Sora, Aki, Watame, Calli, Ina, Oga and Aruran from hololive and holostars, ZEA and Amicia of Nijisanji ID, Pochi-sensei, Yuki Ono, Tamaki and Yuzuru of NoriPro amongst other agency-affiliated and independent Vtubers, culminating in no less than more than two dozen people calling into her stream to give her birthday wishes and a letter, art, music or songs as gifts, with each caller showing how much they cherish her as being a part of their lives even through some of the playful teasing and banter that occurred during the exchanges. It wouldn't be amiss from such a gathering to think of her as one of hearts of the entire Vtuber community.
  • During Kiara's birthday stream on July 6th, she received a special message from Samwise Gamgee himself, Sean Astin. Needless to say, she was more than overjoyed to receive birthday wishes from the actor who brought her favorite Hobbit to life.
  • The 1st year anniversary stream of Hololive -Myth- was hosted by Ame, who also helped set everything up:
    • It's a 3D stream! Well, 3D VR, but still. The anniversary had the five girls tour virtual rooms that were all themed to each of the girls, complete with all sorts of props and accessories. Aside from Ina, they all perform a song, and at the end, they all perform together. The whole stream is equal parts technically scuffed, chaotic, and very sweet, all sharing moments throughout their journey.
    • At the start of the stream, Ame states that she is concluding her investigation of HoloMyth, and her verdict is that the girls will remain under investigation indefinitely. While this is Played for Laughs with Calli and Kiara giving her a comedic beatdown in response, she later clarifies that this decision was made because she's grown attached to her genmates as True Companions. Knowing that she's been at the helm of much of the behind-the-scenes work pertaining to HoloMyth, her friends immediately and eagerly reciprocate this sentiment, to the surprise of nobody.
    • By the end, as they're all giving their thanks, Ina and Kiara are just inconsolable and can't hold back their tears, but it was incredibly heartfelt. When it became Ina's turn to say a few words near the end, she quickly became so emotional that Calli and Kiara called for a group hug, and as Ina cried about how happy she is to have made such wonderful friends and how she wishes they could hug in real life, Calli assured her that they will, one day.
    • The stream begins its conclusion with a highlight reel of just how far they've all come, which is both funny, tear jerking, and very heartwarming, all at once, then the credits where each of the girls all write a thank you letter to their fans and to everyone who helped support them. It closes on a declaration that HoloEN Season 2 has begun, with silhouettes of the Myth crew appearing from the top, and the silhouettes of IRyS, the Council, and Omegaα around the other edges soon after.
  • During Kiara's personal anniversary stream, she had her mom on to talk. Mamatori's tone alone made it abundantly clear how proud of her daughter she is, and how happy she is for her.
  • In hindsight, Lamy's 1st year anniversary stream ended up becoming this as before she became a part of hololive, she was a fan of a certain member who she would talk about. She then ended up collabing with her and hung out with her afterwards, even confessing later to her that she was actually a fan. Lamy even sent a super chat in which said member actually read it which made Lamy happy. Said member was Houshou Marine, who Lamy ended up slapping Marine's butt with a hammer. It's probably why Marine uploaded a MMD video and chose Lamy to keep slapping at her butt.
  • Ollie's 1st year anniversary stream was filled with these moments, but the highlight was this incredibly sweet song made by Bobby, which included lots of heartfelt messages from friends and fans. The poor zombie tries in vain to keep her composure until she inevitably starts bawling. HARD. Her Tears of Joy go from Cry Cute to Inelegant Blubbering.
Ollie: MAN THAT WAS AN UGLY CRY.
  • 4th Generation's second anniversary was filled with beautiful moments. It actually started almost a week before the anniversaries began when the four active members got together for their first collab since Coco's graduation, though it was left unsaid that that's what "six months ago" was. It continued on into Kanata's second anniversary live, specifically her cover of fansa backed by the rest of Gen 4...all of the rest of Gen 4. That was only a prelude to what would happen a few hours later, as the date rolled over from the 27th to the 28th: ~FIN~, an extremely emotional hourlong tribute to Coco from Haachama where she said that Coco saved her and she regrets that she couldn't do the same. The entire second half has "Weather Hackers" as the BGM; Haachama briefly attempted to cover it herself but got one line in before breaking down. Truly a reminder of how big an impact Coco had on Hololive in just 18 months.
Haachama: Someday... when I become the world's #1 idol, I want to tell everyone that there was this amazing senpai! And I wish I can meet you again in my next life!
  • On Kronii's first birthday celebration, Polka called in as the only member of the JP branch to do so. Though put on edge by a serious language barrier and only elementary levels of Japanese to go on, Kronii manages to get through to Polka, and eventually tells her one heartfelt message: "I'm glad I met you. My Japanese isn't that good, but you're so nice and fun." Polka's bawling and reassurance that she's doing just fine make it clear that the feeling is mutual.
  • April 4th, 2022 was Calli's second official birthday celebration. Not only did she hold a 3D concert and introduce new songs, but she also revealed that she'd been signed to Universal Music Group, and she'd be releasing her major label debut EP in July. And that she was going to hold a live concert at the Toyosu PIT one day after the new EP. After revealing this information, Calli started laughing in delight, although she came close to tears several times while announcing it, as she mentioned this was one step closer to her dream becoming a reality. Calli profusely thanked all of her deadbeats, and the livechat poured in with congratulations for Calli. The adorkable Grim Reaper has come into her own.invoked
  • On Okayu's second anniversary, she recieved several video messages from other content creators. Including one from Hikakin. Okayu ended up screaming like a total fangirl upon seeing him.
  • Gura's second birthday celebration featured many surprise firsts for the little shark, such as her first interactions with Sora and Chloe (the latter of whom openly expressed her desire to eat Gura). By far the most surprising of all, however, was the reveal that Gura was at Ame's house all alongNote, with the two having an offcollab karaoke later. This is especially touching considering Gura missed the last offcollab Ame set up due to an untimely Covid affliction. Soon after this Kiara and Ina also came to visit, bringing almost all of Myth together under one roof. After their presence was revealed, Calli made a statement that she would be joining them as well and told her audience to be patient as she would be traveling to Ame's as well for the first full Myth off-collab, something all the members have been anticipating for a very long time.
  • Kiara's 2022 birthday live was full of touching moments. Doing a 3D live to show off her dancing had always been Kiara's dream, and her gratitude was on display throughout. Amelia was an especially frequent target as she built the studio for Kiara to use, but equally heartwarming was that just before her final song, she did her thanks and finished with "there's one more person I'd like to thank, and I'm going to do it through song", and then closed out not with one of her originals, but a cover of "Black Rock Shooter", which her papa Huke is the artist for.
But especially, particularly (special thanks to) the one and only, the wonderful and incredible,
(in big letters) AMELIA WATSON! Thank you for making this possible, you are so selfless and supportive, you made my dream come true and my hard work and suffering worth it! Thank you for all that you do for us!
  • Mumei's birthday is August 4, so she didn't get to celebrate one until nearly a full year had passed since Council made their debuts...and five days after Sana's graduation. Sana left a video message, and Mumei was clearly brought to tears.
  • For Council’s first anniversary:
    • Near the end of the stream, the four still-active members (Baelz, Kronii, Mumei, and Fauna) perform a karaoke relay of their original songs. After the four of them have finished, Bae reveals that they’ve also prepared something special, declaring that “Council will always be five people”, upon which all four of them perform Astrogirl together. Afterwards, they state that while they can’t know for certain if Sana is actually watching, they hope she is and that she enjoyed the performance.
    • After the performance, they have one last surprise, the debut of Rise, an original song with all of Council, Sana included. While watching the music video, they’re all clearly delighted to see Sana in it, with her even getting the final lyric, “With you by our side, for eternity”, solidifying her place with the True Companions, even after she’s officially left the group.
  • Ollie's 2nd birthday is a totsu-karaoke where her hololive and holostars friends including indie vtubers from various parts of the world would join her stream and sing songs together with some pre-recorded. Many on the chat noticed that the event is more like a huge gathering for the vtuber community which definitely shows how many vtubers appreciate Ollie.
    • Despite being on medical leave, Ina manages to join in Ollie's karaoke where they sing "Alien Alien". The same goes for Kobo, who got sick due to COVID-19 during that time. In fact, she's even on chat watching the stream.
    • But the best birthday gift is the Tempus boys singing "Snow Halation" with Ollie which definitely shows how they appreciate her for supporting them since their debut.
    • Even though they were not able to join in the karaoke, some Nijisanji members such as Alban Knox and Mika Melatika were present in the chat and greeted happy birthday to Ollie.
  • Even though he was sick for the whole week, Magni's first birthday went well as planned. Not only he gets birthday messages from his genmates, but also his senpais from Holostars JP, Hololive English, and Hololive Indonesia. But one of the best birthday gifts is a message from Jaleel White, the first voice actor of Sonic the Hedgehog. Since he's a huge Sonic fan, Magni is completely shocked when he saw it.
    • Altare's gift is the first issue of the Archie Sonic the Hedgehog comic, which took Magni by surprise given how rare it is to get it. It's even CGC-graded at 9.2.
    • Despite the language barrier, the senpai from Holostars JP (Rio, Fuma, Roberu, Oga, and Miyabi) greeted happy birthday to him in English.
  • Likewise, for Axel's first birthday, Asides from the birthday messages from his guildmates, he also gets messages from all the branches which include Hololive JP, particularly from Sora and Matsuri.
    • Rikka sings "Happy Birthday" complete with his guitar which made Axel starstruck. He mentions wanting to do an APEX collab with him and rpr despite not knowing much English. Axel reassures him that rpr is learning Japanese so they may be a chance for a collab in the future.
    • One of the biggest surprises is Nodoka and A-chan greeting him much to Axel's surprise. His chat claims that Axel continues winning.
    • Though he cannot show it on stream due to not being DMCA-friendly, Axel receives a birthday message from YOFFY of Psychic Lover who sang the opening song of Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger, one of Axel's favorite shows.
  • On Aruran's 2022 birthday, his older self says goodbye to his fans, the Familiaran, and passes the torch to his younger self. His younger self accepts it and then reads Aru-papa's farewell letter to the familiaran.
  • While he didn't do call-ins on his first birthday due to being an introvert, Altare plays poker with the Tempus boys (minus Vesper) instead. Everybody had a great and fun time with Altare promising that he'll do better at playing poker next time.
    • Altare revealed that Kobo made a birthday song for him with help from Hakka which shows the strong bond between the two blue-haired siblings.
    • He also gets a birthday message from Egoraptor, much to his surprise since he's a fan.
  • Bae's 2023 pre "not-birthday"note countdown:
    • Kronii calls in from the hospital right after her jaw surgery and while she's still somewhat feeling the effects of the anesthesia used on her. Sure she could have chosen to rest and recover, but greeting her gen-mate a happy not-birthday was clearly important to the Warden of Time.
    • The BaeRyS' Sewer Rats discord channel culminated an assortment of HBD gifts for her. Since Bae's favorite video game is Bayonetta, the Rats sent her a personalized message from Grey DeLisle in-character as Jeanne. Bae's elation was through the roof, and she was brought to Tears of Joy after seeing all of the rest of the package.
  • Kronii followed up on her post-surgery call on Bae's not-birthday stream by calling in during IRyS's 2023 birthday stream a week after. This, despite still not being able to speak properly, only being able to mumble (requiring Bae and Mumei to "translate" for IRyS), and apparently with an emergency she needed to tend to. IRyS was so touched that she couldn't help but cry.
  • Hakka's 2023 birthday has some of the Holostars JP members sending birthday messages to him, praising for his original songs and hoping to collab with him in the future which made Hakka touched.
  • Bettel's 2023 birthday reveals the debut of Bettel's twin brother, Bettel 2, complete with art designed by a fan that he picked out personally. It turns out that Bettel 2 is well-versed with the vtuber culture and the one who introduced his brother to vtubers in the first place.
  • On December 29, 2023, four years since AsaCoco debuted, Mococo hosts a "ASAMOCO LIVE NEWS" stream that captures the charm of the original, from the "Good Morning Motherfluffers" to products of questionable substance.
  • Just in time for TEMPUS Vanguard's 1 year anniversary, Flayon's Machiroons obtained advertising space for him in Times Square.
  • Goldbullet wishes Vesper a HBD. Vesper and Magni may have retired, but they're still part of the Holostars, even for the members who debuted after they left.
  • Early in her birthday (JST), a group of rosetai revealed a present for Aki: a video with orchestra verisons of Shallys, Heroine Audition, and Rose of the Lamp. The orchestra itself was composed of rosetai to boot. Aki herself liked it.
  • During her first birthday, Bijou got a special birthday message from Vergil's voice actor Daniel Southworth as the character. Not only is she a huge Devil May Cry fan, but Vergil is her favorite character.

    Milestones
  • One translator translated this video of Aki's stream where she discusses her low viewer and subscriber count, which made thousands of people recognize her struggles, especially Reddit when they found out. This resulted in Aki gaining 13,000 new subscribers overnight, bringing her total over the 200,000 subscriber milestone. And as if that wasn't enough, they also posted warm messages, congratulations, and fan art to #Rosetai200k in Twitter. Needless to say, Aki woke up the next morning to a very pleasant surprise and had been crying Tears of Joy when she found out. Aki's situation becomes even more heartwarming when you look at her streams after this happened. In the video where she discussed her troubles, she mentioned the fact that she didn't collab with other Hololive members very often (which would have helped her low numbers) because of her low self-confidence. She felt she didn't have anything to contribute to collab streams. After her rise in subscribers, she began participating in regular collab streams, showing the immediate confidence boost this gave her. When Aki appeared on Kiara's talk show Holotalk, she took the opportunity to thank her fans for the support they showed her, and admitted that without said support, it's possible that she wouldn't still be a vtuber.
  • Before their Minecraft collab, Gura and Calliope were close to 1 million and 500k subscriber milestones respectively. Calliope hits it right at the start of the collab, while Gura hits it not that much later. While this normally should be a moment of awesome, what makes this heartwarming is the fact that both of them in fact were all for getting milestone at the same time.
  • Fubuki reaching 1 million subscribers at the tail end of a collaboration stream with GAMERS left her in Stunned Silence and a bit apprehensive to announce the milestone, to the point where the other 3 thought something had gone wrong. When she finally revealed it, all 3 of them were overjoyed and congratulated her all while she started to let out Tears of Joy; Korone in particular, who had just hit her own million subscriber milestone a few days prior, spoke out on how Fubuki completely deserved her success, having pointed out that she was the reason Korone found her stride after a disastrous debut. At the same time Fubuki broke the news, Kiara heard of this during a Superchat readout after concluding a play session of Super Mario Sunshine and, to congratulate her on the milestone, spontaneously decided to sing Say! Fanfare in honor of her. Kiara also restated the fact that Fubuki is the whole reason she wanted to be a part of hololive in the first place, so her hitting the 1 million mark was especially meaningful to her as well.
  • Talent birthday celebrations are always wholesome on their own right, but special mention goes to Shion's 2020 birthday celebration, in which she received a video message from, in her own words, a " special ultra hyper special person"... Gawr Gura. What makes this sweeter is that Gura had recorded and translated the video herself and gave it to Shion just as she was asking her about it, much to Shion's surprise.
  • December 10 is YAGOO's birthday. On that day of 2020, many of the talents and fans alike showed their appreciation for him and Hololive in general. As much as everyone jokes at his expense, his true actions and accomplishments are recognized and celebrated.
  • During Gura's [2MILLION PARTY]:
    • Many of the other hololive idols whose music Gura was singing expressed their gratitude and congratulations in the chat, and she was very audibly trying to hold back the tears of happiness and thanked them for joining her. The fact that, during a personal milestone celebration, she chose to pay homage and sing the songs created by her genmates and senpai, essentially letting them share the moment by proxy AND sending potential new viewers to them.
    • Gura's open letter is a heartfelt message thanking both the fans and her senpais for allowing her to come so far and for the great memories she's made.
  • During Kanata's celebration stream for Coco's 1M subs, she mentioned how when they first started Kanata was criticized by many for getting too close to Coco, accused of riding on her popularity and being a 'free extra', and that Coco's immense success made Kanata doubt herself. Despite this she said that Coco never looked down on her and they were always able to treat each other as equals, and that beyond all the talent and success Coco was ultimately a kind dragon who loved to share her happiness with others. And Kanata noted over time she had seen the comments change from criticism to sincere gratitude for Kanata's support and friendship, and that she was so happy to be able to support Coco and stand at her side as her gen-mate.
  • In celebration of Luna hitting 500k subscribers, LuKnights got her a congratulatory message from Tony Hawk.
  • On May 4, 2021, Mel and Aki each hosted individual endurance streams (karaoke for Mel and Monopoly for Aki) that saw them reach the half a million milestone. While Mel reached her goal just over half an hour into her stream, she elected to support her gen-mate and continued singing until Aki had reached the goal herself nearly two-and-a-half hours later. Both girls congratulated the other on their respective stream and in the other's stream chat, delighted to have reached their goal together.
  • Rushia hosts a call to celebrate her getting 1 million subscribers, so of course the rest of 3rd gen's the first ones in. The four other members reminisce about some of their first experiences with Rushia. It's mixed with humor, as the whole generation has trouble coordinating what they want to say, but they all laugh through the whole thing, it ends with the four congratulating Rushia, though she thought they would stay a few minutes longer.
  • The day after her birthday and reaching 1 million subscribers, Subaru thanked her overseas fans for their support in her weekend free chat stream, with a message almost entirely in English.
  • In spite of her accounts being restricted due to the influx of subscriptions and follows, a handful of hours after her being revealed as hololive's newest member on July 7, 2021, IRyS reached 100,000 subscribers on Youtube and 100,000 followers on Twitter when her debut was a few days later, with her achieving 200,000 subscribers to her channel barely 24 hours after the reveal. To say she was welcomed and embraced by her fellow talents and the community with open arms would be a complete understatement.
  • Sora's English message to Soratomos, a few hours after she finally crossed the 1 million subscriber milestone on July 27th, 2022, is nothing sort of this. She requests that she and her audience keep working together as she grows towards greater heights, after thanking everyone and dropping an endearing gem that truly shows how much she appreciates and adores her Soratomos.
    Sora: You are my family.

    Graduations
  • Despite the Tear Jerker that is Aloe Mano's departure:
    • The day afterward, Nene reassured that despite moving on from Hololive, Aloe is still considered a member of the fifth generation. So much so that she's keeping her own Twitter header (the banner) to still include Aloe in the hopes that people won't forget her. To sum up in Nene's own words:
Nene: Fifth gen will always be five members.
    • A few weeks later, in a singing stream, she sings the two songs Aloe covered. She's still practicing them as they're difficult songs to sing, but the effort she takes to preserve Aloe's brief presence is precious.
    • One from the fanbase: Months after her departure, on the 28th of October, Aloe Mano's birthday, numerous fan artists released pictures wishing her a happy birthday. She may not have been around for long, but she hasn't been forgotten.
    • For Halloween, Nene decided to make lighted pumpkins for Gen 5, all of them. She placed one in each of the homes of her Gen 5 crewmates.....as for Aloe, she placed her Pumpkin in her (Nene's) home, on a pink tile no less. The moment the chat picked up that Nene intended to make five pumpkins, they quickly caught on and remarked she was really kind.
    • Also for Halloween, Nene sang typical songs that would fit with the theme. Halfway through her set, while not necessarily a song about Halloween, she sang Happy Synthesizer, making good on her promise after Aloe departed that she would eventually master and perform the song in her memory, with the departed succubus' birthday being 3 days prior to this stream.
  • It's extremely bittersweet, but when it became clear that Hololive CN would be culled in the aftermath of the political scandal that took place, all six girls declared that they would make the decision together as a group (ie, if one leaves or graduates, all the others will follow suit). Even with their careers potentially at an end, Hololive CN sticks together till the very last moment.
  • On November 30, 2020, Kira officially graduated from Holostars, to the sadness of not only his fans and fellow members, but also his artist, Tsubata, who later released the designs for Kira's New Year's attire, along with tweeting her gratitude for being able to watch over Kira for the past year. A few months later, she received a special Holostars New Year's tassel charm - dyed in Kira's colors.
  • Following the revamp of Holostars’ official website, just like Coco, Kira has a section for himself in the Talent page where he’s regarded as an alumnus, showing that he has never been forgotten.
  • This is more on the fans’ side, but the 3 graduated members of Holostars live on in the community’s heart - even Suzaku (who left before Holostars started to receive attention) and Kaoru (who was only active for three months). When Holostars’ first ever concert arrives, plenty of artworks depicting the trio in idol outfit they never get to wear, them staying in the backstage cheering the still active Holostars on, or just a thank you appear, taking away the tears but also warming the heart of other fans. That’s not even including other occasions such as Astel’s 3D debut aka the last 3D debut of all currently active Holostars.
  • On June 9, 2021, Coco announced that she would be graduating effective from July 1:
    • The news hit a lot of fans hard, but at the same time, the news isn't all bad: Coco Kiryu would be the first Hololive idol to properly graduatenote , and as such, her stream archives and social media would remain. Furthermore, she reassured everyone that her name would not be taboo after her leaving: her colleagues and future newcomers would be free to mention her by name. This goes double for the fact that, through all the controversy and calls from antis to have her fired and Un-person'd, YAGOO and Cover have her back until the very end and beyond.
    • On Twitter, Takaya Kuroda, the seiyu who voiced Kiryu Kazuma, wished her good luck on her graduation. As a big fan of the Like A Dragon series who also has a crush on Kazuma, Coco was overjoyed.
  • One of Coco's bilibili fans gifted her a red superchat during a stream taking place after her graduation announcement, reassuring her that she still has actual fans on their side of the ocean despite everything that happened revolving her mention of Taiwan months ago.
Coco: I know you guys are watching, and I know you love me. I do, and I believed it in the first place. [laughs] I believe no hate.
  • Coco's graduation ceremony was one big show of support for her as she moves on to bigger and better things (and not least because at its peak, there were an astounding 480000 concurrent viewers):
    • It started off with every generation, including the ID and EN branches, getting to say their goodbyes, including Shion and Haachama who were on hiatus, and Ayame who lacked a home internet connection. This entire segment was pre-recorded as well, which allowed captions to already be in place by the time it aired so that her overseas fans could understand everything being said. Each generation was captured as a photo on a cork board at the end of their segment. Due to technical difficulties, Gura wasn't able to join her HoloEN sisters in sending Coco off. Fear not, though: after the issues were resolved, Gura got to have a segment all to herself where she got to say her goodbyes to Coco. When the HoloEN picture is added to the cork board, it's accompanied by a cute little paper cutout of everyone's favorite shark.
    • The final send-off was with her own genmates, who were present with their 3D models. All of them had prepared some final remarks with the exception of Luna, who came "unprepared" and instead had drawn Coco a picture in colored pencil representing all the members of Gen 4.
      • A smaller moment among all the tears, during Kanata's letter to Coco, she mentions how people early on considered her as "leaching off Coco" and otherwise riding her coattails, and Coco immediately closes her eyes and shakes her head without a word. As far as Coco is concerned, Kanata was never a hanger-on. It truly speaks to the depth of their relationship at this point that Coco thinks so highly of Kanata that she refuses to even entertain the thought of it.
      • Just before that in Kanata’s letter, she calls Coco her Genmate, colleague, friend, and her family. Considering Kanata’s rough home life, the last one hits particularly hard as to how close the two are.
    • After the farewell video, all of the 4th generation appeared on stage to transition to a live section and performed SSS and Kiseki Knot together in their idol outfits, something they were unable to do at their first live show together since they hadn't been finished.
    • The finale was Coco herself singing Weather Hackers in front of her genmates, all sitting and participating as though they were audience members and her biggest fans.
    • Unlike most other graduated members whose content and existence would be removed completely, Coco continues to be recorded on the official list of talents as an alumna.
    • Sora, who has seen many fellow VTubers come and go without much fanfare since her debut (and that's saying a lot, considering she's one of the longest-running VTubers after Kizuna Ai), notes that Coco's graduation is a rarity among the departures she has experienced and is glad about it, given the cheerful nature of the graduation was a proper and satisfactory send-off for her kouhai.
    • A day after Coco's graduation, Matsuri assures her chat their friendships haven't changed for the worse, and Matsuri herself was even planning on visiting Kanata and Coco's apartment just to hang out, like they always do (although she got a laugh off of a Lampshade Hanging chat comment reading "So soon!?"). She even promises that if Coco dares not to be happy after graduating, she'll personally drag her back to Hololive.
    • The final few hours leading to Midnight on October 1st JST saw the final Free Chat on Coco's channel become inundated with people in the "waiting lobby" to send off the Dragon one final time, with 80,000 people joining it in the final half-hour, culminating in 118,912 people saying their last goodbyes to their Kaichou and showing support to her by joining her membership with even only a few minutes left on the clock.
  • While the news of Tsukumo Sana's graduation is heartbreaking, many of her Hololive talents and her fellow EN members/friends call came out to support her and wish her the best. Kiara, in particular, during her HoloCure stream, declares that while it's sad, we should be proud of Sana and enjoy the remaining time we have with her. She also said mentioning Sana in future streams won't be taboo.
    • Kobo had so much fun playing with Sana playing PowerWash Simulator that she asked if it would be possible to do another collab. Sana couldn't give any promises with her busy schedule, but would try. Kobo started openly bawling on stream. After about 10 minutes to get it out of her system and recompose herself, Kobo grabbed her guitar and sang a simple but lovingly-crafted song for Sana. She even closed out the stream by playing it one last time.
    • Sana’s last solo stream before graduation is heartwarming as it is tearjerking. At the end of the stream, Sana reassures her fans that, even after graduating, she’ll still be around, living her life and encouraging her fans to just...live. She also says that her YouTube channel will still be up so others can go back and watch all the fun times they’ve had on her past live streams. Lastly, like Kiara, Sana claims that mentioning her won’t be taboo, even after she’s gone.
    • On June 11, 2023 which would have been Sana's 2nd birthday in Hololive, Altare did a space-theme unarchived karaoke with "Astrogirl" as the last song. Afterward, he wonders if she's listening in the cosmos.
  • On July 30, 2022, was Sana's graduation stream, and almost 100,000 people came to spend time with their dear astrogirl one last time. It's chock full of heartwarming and tearjerking moments as Sana says goodbye to the fans and people who supported her.
    • Sana has a Character Catchphrase that she has echoed throughout her time in hololive, throughout the stream, and will still be echoed long after her graduation as a sign that she will never be forgotten. Appropriately, she chose it to be the title of her final stream — "Sana is ETERNAL"
    • Sana receives a laptop that has a letter signed by her fellow Hololive members, who thank her for being with them. From the Indonesia and JP branch to her fellow EN members, even the guys at Holostars, they all wish her the best and will always be friends with her despite Sana not being part of the company anymore.
    • As Sana finishes reading her messages, she takes off her size limiter and gives it to her Sanalites as a farewell gift.
    • As the stream starts wrapping up, an animation plays which shows a Sanalite receiving a tape. The tape contains a final message from Sana thanking her Sanalites and asking them to support the other members while showing footage of past Sana streams and art from her Sanalites. As the video ends, the Sanalite catches a glimpse of a star, which they run towards, stopping at the edge of a cliff where Sana waves goodbye. Waiting at the edge of the cliff are all the mascots of the other EN members, who hug and console the Sanalite, showing that the rest of hololive EN fanbase are with them to the very end.
    • Sana's penultimate tweet before turning her accounts over to COVER, a last bit of her joyous light to her beloved fans.
"I'm not alone. And neither are you."
  • While the unexpected announcement of Magni and Vesper's graduation dampened the mood of the fans and members of the branch, the remaining members of Tempus remembered the fond memories that they had with the two. And like Coco, Kira, and Sana, both of them are listed as alumni on the official website.
    • Flayon cites how much he looked up to Magni and Vesper and how they helped him when he was having a hard time. He thanks Magni for letting him be in Holostars because, without him, he would get in trouble for the sudden voice chat during the Tempus HQ's Raft collab before he debuted.
    • Pako tweeted how much they were going to miss Magni's and Vesper's streams and wished them good luck in their future endeavors. Meanwhile, Showichi Furumi made a blog post citing that she would also miss Magni and continue to support Tempus.
    • Ollie and Calli, who are among Hololive's biggest supporters of the Holostars EN branch, also mentioned that they're going to miss Magni and Vesper. While Calli is saddened by the departure of the two boys who had frequently collaborated with her and Kronii, she wouldn't forget the fun times they have together, particularly with the GUN collab.
    • During the hiatus leading up to the graduation, Hakka became the "babysitter" of Vesper and Magni's fans, the Vesties and Magmites, displaying assets of the fan mascots alongside his own Hakkito mascot during streams, which he continued doing after the graduation announcement.
    • The Holostars JP members, who underwent their own loss of their three members, also wished good luck for Magni and Vesper and vowed that they would continue to work hard in Holostars and strive for the branch's success. Rio mentioned that he would cherish the moments he had with the graduated members because he sees them as his precious juniors while Astel, who laments that he wished to see the two in their 3D models, vows to make Holostars more successful so that the graduated members would regret leaving.
    • Once Axel got his 3D model debut in February 2024, he paid homages to his departed guildmates:
      • A book was summoned from the gacha chest, which made him remember a conversation with Vesper.
      • His desk had Magni's old lamp on it, which he stole from the lab. According to Axel, Magni never knew it was gone.
      • The painting of all 8 guild members hung on the wall.
      • He finishes off the stream with Janne Da Arc's "Vampire", as a dedication to Vesper.
    • When Altare and Axel started their 3D collab, the first song was their debut song, "Top of the World". However, with Magni and Vesper gone, the Vanguard boys filled in for their parts of the song, to show how close knit TEMPUS has been to one another.

    Other Heartwarming Moments
  • Despite how she feels about it, Suisei's parents can't help but be proud of how their daughter has accomplished (especially her father, who loves the way she talks being similar to his), and the people she knew offered their support with her Vtuber and idol lifestyle. And then she found out her mother joined YouTube and her Membership to watch her Members-only content. She then found out her mother cried Tears of Joy for all the hard work she's put through.
  • Marine, Suisei, and guest VTubers Inuyama Tamaki and Shigure Ui decide to draw fanart for Miko, who had to take two months off due to illness. Suisei in particular canceled her Cardfight!! Vanguard stream until the next day in order to draw with the other three for Miko.
  • Despite her reputation of being the roughest member of hololive, Coco is very supportive to her fellow members when in need, even if they're her seniors. One of which was when she gave a pep talk to Aqua (who, at the time, was under fire over an incident involving the Japanese Super Smash Bros. community), giving a You Are Better Than You Think You Are speech.
  • A few days before Luna's 3D model debut, Matsuri was playing Minecraft by herself in a pseudo ASMR stream, akin to her Twitcasts where she shares a few personal details with her viewers before going to bed. This stream a couple of weeks later, had her crying out of sheer joy that Luna had become part of her life, and stating that Luna was the first person she considered a true friend in quite a while. She had also spoken to Luna herself about this when playing with her, with her essentially making a Platonic Declaration of Love to her over the course of their time together in the game. This doubles as a Tear Jerker since Matsuri also affirms her insecurities and struggles with her own loneliness.
  • Really, just about any time the members of the Hololive Fantasy do a stream together, which is surprisingly often compared to other generations, due to the fact they get along rather well. As shown here, here and even here are some shining examples. While they mess around and tease each other, it's clear that they are comfortable and care for each other a good deal, some of the best indicators of this is that Rushia becomes a bit more open and talkative, and Pekora, who's also described as a bit of a shrinking violet outside of streams, becomes the straight man of the group.
  • Despite Suisei's Comedic Sociopathy, she has shown that she has a soft side when she plays Project Winter with guest collaborators. When a blizzard hits, she makes food for everyone so that their hunger status doesn't decline. Her chat actually finds this sweet and calls her "Mama Suisei".
  • While playing Fall Guys, Okayu encounters another cheater. What she didn't expect in the following team round was for the opposing team to throw the match to spite the cheater. Their sacrifice allowed her to play her final round on even ground and win her second crown of the day.
Okayu: That makes me cry, you know... that they respect this sportsmanship... I'm weak to that kind of wholesomeness.
  • The relationship between Kanata and Coco deserves mention, because its one of the few that extends out of the stream and into their personal lives. Both of them get along really well to the point that Kanata has dropped by Coco's house several times mid stream to deliver food and check up on her, with Coco singing praises about her when she can. Kanata and Suisei even moved in with Coco, and its clear that the three are really happy together.
  • In this moment Flare, while a bit drunk on stream, urges her viewers to watch the third gen's streams, she admits it's not the first time promoting the others, but she goes onto say that she wants to support them, and ideally have her viewers watch the third gen's streams as much as possible. Keep in mind that Flare's channel has the least subscribers out of the group by a considerable margin, but still lets her love and support of her fellow hololivers shine clear as day.
  • During a collaboration stream between Flare, Marine, Kanata and Tokino Sora, the latter is asked her impressions of the other members, which the others eagerly look forward to. What follows is:
    • Sora admitting to admiring Suisei's determination and tetris skills, in addition to admitting how well they've recently gotten along to the point of being besties.
    • Sora praising Kanata's sense of duty and humanity, as well as catching onto the fact she really loves Hololive and those within the group, and overall how she's a Nice Girl.
    • Who follows next is Flare, where Sora admits she admires the cool-headed attitude of the former and is envious of her voice for the range it has when she sings and calming effect it has when she speaks.
    • Lastly, Marine(who far from a traditional idol like Sora herself) is told that Sora views her special skills as her unique poses and eccentric way she moves her body and her ability to take charge to lead people as well as making sure everyone gets to speak their mind and do their part.
  • Subaru's friendship with Nijisanji's Maimoto Keisuke. It started when she chose him as her very first collab partner because he seemed like a nice guy, leading to a zany video ending with a promise to do something a bit tamer next time. And there was a next time, as the two (along with Subaru's artist Ui) would go on to have many more collabs and fun times together over the next few years. Despite Nijisanji's initial skepticism, that collab basically began the two companies streaming together and helped firmly establish their Friendly Rivalry. Maimoto would later admit that he had actually been giving serious thought to quitting Nijisanji due to the stress and pressure to succeed that he felt, but that fun and crazy stream with Subaru helped him realize he should just focus on having fun with the opportunity he was given, and he started branching out more with renewed spirits.
  • During Korone's playthrough of Passpartout, she draws a portrait of Miko to celebrate her discharge from hospital, and titles it "Welcome Back." The passing customers are overly critical of her use of pink. Even though the painting doesn't sell, Korone reminds the chat that she wouldn't want to sell the portrait anyway. In a positive version of Critical Dissonance, this portrait gets the attention of the art critic, who writes an article praising it, leading into the game's second chapter.
  • After Calli got monetization enabled on her channel, she decided to do a short stream to celebrate it on her off day. For over half the stream she had been trying to read the donations, but due to the sheer volume of them as well as their messages of support, she was overwhelmed with emotion as soon as she went live and was at a loss for words for nearly 20 minutes to the point where she was audibly holding back Tears of Joy for having touched so many people in a positive way. Since then this happens fairly regularly, often to more humorous results, but always rooted in endless gratitude and slight concern with such generosity.
  • During the first episode of Asacoco after the hiatus, Coco had a segment where she discussed her impressions of the 5th Generation one month in, making a caption accompanying every member's image. Most were in her trademark sense of humor, but when she got to Aloe it said "Please take care of yourself" and she mentioned that the doors of hololive are always open should she wish to return. Even among her seniors, Aloe was not forgotten.
  • During Mio's tarot reading Botan asked about moving away from her laid-back personality into someone more proactive. While she made sure to keep the mood up, Mio referenced gen 5's rough start and obliquely nodded to Aloe's departure. She assured Botan that what happened was in no way her fault, and that it's okay for her to just be herself.
  • On September 30, 2020, Gura did a karaoke stream (sadly not archived due to copyright issues), which would normally qualify as a Crowning Moment of Awesome due to pulling in over 60,000 viewers and getting praise from not only senpais like Shion but also from Yagoo himself, as well as causing Ina and Amelia to delay their own collaboration later that night due to not wanting to interrupt Gura and watch it themselves. What pushes it into Heartwarming is the fact that she performed "Judgement" and "Baka Mitai" from Like a Dragon, specifically dedicating the songs to Coco and Haachama, one of the first direct mentions of the pair since their suspension over the Taiwan incident. Besides being a show of respect from the newest generation of hololive, it was a much-needed ray of positivity for the fandom, which had been mired in anger and frustration due to the suspension
  • Over October 4, 2020, Korone powered through a 24-hour stream of Assassin's Creed Syndicate. While impressive in of itself, she revealed her reasons at the end of the stream — her mother was hospitalized and she wanted to care for her over the coming week, and thus did this endurance stream so that the fans have a massive chunk of content to tide over the downtime.
  • After Rushia had accidentally lost her entire inventory to a slime trap Pekora made and couldn't retrieve them, Pekora was informed by her chat about the incident. Pekora, feeling bad about what happened as an indirect result of her trap, decided to go and retrieve the necromancer's lost items, made her a new enchanted diamond pickaxe with silk touch, and gave her carrots and rabbit feet as an apology. Rushia discovers this the next time she logs in and is very happy and in disbelief that Pekora would go through the extra effort for something that she had no real control over. In return, Rushia decides to repay the rabbit for her kindness by making her several golden carrots, materials to make a diamond pickaxe herself, and a full 64 stack of iron with some food and flowers thrown in, laughing happily afterwards. Needless to say Pekora finds herself in some shock with how much Rushia gave Usada Construction's boss as repayment...
  • Marine held a stream entirely in-character as a 78 year old version of herself from the future. She would address other members of hololive in character, reminiscing about the good times they had together from her perspective as well as talking about the future of hololive, which (in her future) had grown to have 375 different generations of performers, one of which enabled her to travel to the past and talk to her audience. When asked about what her greatest treasure was in her lifelong career as a pirate, she admitted to it being the time she spends with her viewers and doing her best to make everyone happy, which felt more like a heartfelt message from Marine herself rather than merely an in-character statement, showing that she wants to continue performing for as long as she is able in order to entertain her audience.
  • The friendship between Okayu and Korone is in general very sweet. Notably there was the time when Okayu was living with Korone for a brief stint, leading to the two cuddling on stream.
  • The friendship that started between Pekora and Moona over Minecraft.
    • What started as a simple greetingnote has evolved into the two regularly sharing each other's projects on the hololive JP server. It's especially heartwarming since Pekora admits that she gets anxious when there are many people online on the server and has an I Work Alone attitude when it comes to Minecraft but she gains more confidence in speaking English. For Moona, her ability to communicate with her senpais is held back by how little she can speak Japanese however, ever since Pekora started talking with her, other senpais such as Flare, Aqua, Marine, Roboco, and Watame started communicating with Moona in English.
    • After Moona had to go on break for a bit after moving and not having her streaming equipment ready, she missed Pekora to the point that she wrote her a heartfelt letter about wanting to play with her again as soon as possible. Pekora, in turn, wrote another letter back to Moona expressing similar sentiments.
  • In one of her earlier Q&A streams, Gura revealed some emotes made by an artist that wanted to remain anonymous, and was later found out to have traced them; Gura removed them, breaking character on Twitter to apologize for the whole event... and the next day she revealed her illustrator/"mama" had drawn and provided some emotes of her own, free of charge.
  • At the end of her 300K karaoke stream, Kiara received a superchat donation from a fan who said they have terminal cancer and was spending what time they had left watching her.
    • After briefly tearing up and struggling with how to respond for a few moments, Kiara offered some words of encouragement for the donor:
"You're a phoenix, just like me! I'm looking forward to your revival! Look forward to when we meet again!"
    • Even better: The original message belonged to someone named Kitty, and was a simple chat message. Meltyclaw, who saw the comment, made the superchat with the full content, without personally knowing Kitty, simply so that Kiara would read it for the latter.
  • After the temporary suspension of Haato and Coco over the Taiwan incident, the community had come together in solidarity to support the two as much as they could in different ways. Two notable supporters were the artist YeFan and an unnamed man referred to by the community as "Crepe Lord." YeFan made daily fanart in the form of a comic miniseries, unofficially titled "The Unexpected Vacation," showing Coco and Haato in the real world trying to enjoy their hiatus as much as they can, culminating with them running into a guitar player that is strongly hinted at to be Mano Aloe. Crepe Lord, a Taiwanese crepe store owner, was giving away free crepes to anyone who could prove their subscription/membership to Haato's channel. Crepe Lord in particular would accidentally get recognition by Haato herself in her cooking contest, as he had entered with a video showcasing "gyoza pizza." Fans were very quick to point out that this was the same shop owner, as he had posted the finished product (as well as a whiteboard drawing of Haato to welcome her back) on the subreddit several days prior.
  • Haachama's return from hiatus was a very tearful apology on her behalf to her fanbase and a realization regarding the global influence her actions have; she was on the verge of tears the entire time, while her audience was nothing but supportive. At the end of her short stream, she remained resolute in her goals of entertaining her audience, regardless of where they are in the world.
  • In July and August of 2020, Miko had been hospitalized among growing health concerns. While she remained in high spirits during her absence, she eventually broke news that under her doctor's orders, she would need to take a break from streaming for several weeks. When she finally returned to activity on October 21st, it was in the form of a 2nd anniversary 3D concert, with song breaks punctuated by every generation of Hololive Japan (save Ayame, who also is on break/busy working on her own project) celebrating her return to full activity, as well as a commemorative merchandise set that, instead of being related to her anniversary, is listed as a "welcome back" set. Miko stated towards the end of the concert that her greatest fear was being forgotten about during her break, to which even Kiara of the EN branch vehemently refuted. To add even further evidence that her fears were unfounded, Miko's return stream was the most watched Hololive stream for all of 2020 in terms of live viewership, averaging 128,426 viewers over the entire 74 minute stream, and hitting a peak of 145,305 viewers at the 48 minute mark, during her performance of "Kirameki Rider". Both were also all time live viewership records for Hololive as a whole up to that point. Immediately following her concert, many Hololive members started streaming MinecraftNote. Korone, a self-admitted introvert who rarely initiates group activities, had the absolutely sweet idea of making a "welcome back" fireworks show in the game for Miko, and managed to pull everyone on the server into helping her (including Moona, who is still a beginner at the Japanese language). They all love Miko so much they all pitched in without a second thought.
  • A mixture of funny and heartwarming, but while playing Among Us, Polka accidentally boots out a lime crewmate who turned out to be innocent. She feels so bad booting him out that when she gets killed, she talks to the ghost and does a faux marriage proposal.
  • Fubuki during a stream of Minecraft spontaneously started calling a chicken Kiara after spotting it. She chased it making cute noises before telling it "Kiara" she loves her and nuzzling her face against it, calling it cute.
  • During Amelia and Gura's Minecraft collab:
    • Amelia was mourning the loss of her gold sword. While Amelia is distracted smelting some things, Gura checks her own chests and notices she has several gold ingots, so she makes a new sword for Amelia, and drops it behind her without telling her, so it eventually goes into Ame's inventory without her knowing Gura made it for her. Amelia doesn't catch on to what happened, thinking she had it before and just Failed a Spot Check. Gura did all this on purpose, never taking credit or telling Ame it was her.
    • During one of Gura's solo Minecraft streams, Ame is also playing. This particular stream goes very poorly for Gura, who after seething in Tranquil Fury due to spending a large portion of the stream completely lost and failing to find her way back, eventually ends up typing a burst of Angrish into the in-game chat. Ame, who earlier had jokingly responded to one of Gura's death notifications with "rip", is immediately worried, leading to the following conversation in chat:
      Amelia: ARE YOU OKAY
      Gura: N O
      Amelia: do u need help? I can go with u ;; o;
    • Soon after that, Gura asks Ame for home base coordinates, but gets returned there via creeper explosion instead of walking. Once Gura respawns, she finds Amelia standing over her bed and ready to give her some snacks and as close to a hug as the Minecraft characters can give.
      Amelia: T_T
      Gura: hia
      Amelia: is everything okay?
      Gura: ....define....ok
Amelia: T_T [gives Gura several loaves of bread]
Gura: [out loud] Thank you, Ame...
Amelia: good luck lmao [turns around and leaves]
    • Amelia gets to show that she's a very supportive friend when the others are in need in Minecraft. When Ina gets killed by a Piglin Brute ambush, Amelia's all ready to offer to distract the Brute while Ina recovers her belongings. Even though Ina manages to reclaim her stuff on her own, she mourns the loss of her diamond pickaxe, only to find that Amelia's left a replacement waiting at the Nether Portal. When Gura gets blown up by a Creeper and asks for help after being sent back to the world spawn, Amelia doesn't hesitate to help look after Gura's scattered belongings despite the fact that Gura's tried to snipe her a few times earlier that day.
  • Kanata struggling to play Among Us since she has no idea how to play the game, which gave her anxiety and being quiet throughout the game (which contributes to her privatizing the stream). When both her and Towa the ones killed in a round, Towa decides to reach out to her when she realizes how quiet she was.
  • In early November 2020, Calliope and Kiara went on a spa date at Kiara's insistence to celebrate the release of Calli's new song as well as help her get some much needed rest. The recounting of their day, on-screen interaction aside, demonstrated what good and supportive friends they are to one another. They had spent the whole day with each other and when Calli had gotten home, she stated that she had slept for 10 hours in the best rest she had gotten in a very long time. When they finally started playing Minecraft after the story was over, Kiara decided to show Calli the improvements to her house that she had made while Calli was busy working on her music. This included a purple bed in the corner and a penned-in chicken next to it (so Kiara won't have to sleep next to her, this is "the next best thing"), with a sign that stated "For Calliope whenever she comes back." As Calli had put it, they are "maximum homies."
  • Kiara dedicated her final karaoke song to someone very special to her that she cares about very much... her huke-papa! She sang "Hacking to the Gate" from Steins;Gate while huke could be seen cheering her on in chat.
  • The Holohouse has officially welcomed Rushia. Rushia had first heard about the plans regarding Holohouse months ago from Coco and timidly expressed interest in going along with them when she was able, to which Coco was incredibly encouraging of the idea and delighted Rushia. While Rushia had been rejected for the same complex, she had moved into a nearby location that was close enough for her to visit the Holohouse whenever she wanted as well as spend time with her other friends in hololive off-stream.
  • Kiara getting to spend time with Pekora in Minecraft was already a dream come true for her, and towards the end of the collab (before getting on the death coaster) Kiara shares a story about how Pekora had gotten her out of a dark place in her life and inspired her to audition for Hololive EN to begin with. Pekora was naturally appreciative and returned the sentiment that she is happy someone like Kiara was able to make it in and that she was genuinely having fun with her during their time together.
  • Iofi convincing Moona to go ahead and try collaborating with Pekora despite the language barrier between the two. Moona is very shy and doubts herself a lot in Iofi's chat, but her self-derisive comments are constantly brushed aside by Iofi, who invites her into the stream and assures her that whatever she needs, Iofi will happily provide. The overwhelming amount of support is enough to drive Moona to tears - which she was initially embarrassed about, until Iofi reminded her that she's already cried when she hit 100,000 subscribers anyway, so it's nothing new. The ensuing collab between Pekora and Moona shows how little Moona really had to worry; Pekora is clearly thrilled to be talking with Moona, and when Moona begins to pose a hypothetical scenario where she visits Japan, Pekora misunderstands her to actually be coming to Japan and lights up with excitement for a moment before Moona corrects her, whereupon they begin discussing what they'd do together if she did. What's more is just how much Pekora does to mitigate the language barrier; towards the start she declares "Pekora today is English learning", doing her best to communicate in English, and eagle-eyed viewers may notice that Pekora actually switched the language in her game's interface settings to English. While communication obviously does hit a few snags here and there, the confusion never lasts long before they're back on the same page, and the two have a blast from start to finish.
  • The finale of Risu's Nonstop Nut November videos is longer than the other ones, and for good reason: it is almost devoid of any nut-based puns that have been a staple of the previous videos in her "series," and was more or less a heartfelt message to her fans, both old and new, to thank them for coming with her on this experimental journey. Over the course of November, her subscriber count received a massive spike due to this series alone, and the way she chose to handle it made much of her audience resolute in their choice to supporting her and her content. She also points out how the series has to end in order for it to have any impact, and that she will not be continuing it despite fan support until next November.
  • A 5.5 earthquake hit Japan during the streams with some of the girls encouraging their native (Japanese) viewers from Ibaraki prefecture to find safety. This is noticeable with Rushia who had been clingy with her viewers that she encouraged her native fans to stop watching her stream on their PC's and seek shelter immediately. Though she tells them if they are still watching her stream, they should watch on their phones.
  • A prime example of small acts of kindness paying off: during an Apex Legends solo queue stream, Aqua was given purple level body armor by a teammate who had raided a chest nearby and intended to use it himself. Said teammate was RoiSyu, a calm, humble Twitch streamer with a small following, and as soon as he gave her the armor, his stream of less than 20 viewers spiked to over 140 as Aqua viewers raided his channel. With this many new followers he was immediately confused until a friend informed him of who Aqua was, and he immediately checked out her channel between matches, noting how supportive and friendly her chat was and became an immediate fan and supporter.
  • Haato hosted a stream where she discussed the important matter of her graduation... from high school. As much as it Crosses the Line Twice by playing with the audience's worries of the talents being forced to retire over unwelcome controversies, what this also means is that she will finally be able to return to Japan and collab with her fellow hololivers.
  • Over the course of a single stream of A Way Out, Calliope runs the gamut of Tsundere, culminating with admitting that she likes Kiara's company at the end. Kiara didn't notice it until someone pointed it out to her later but her reaction was exactly what one would expect out of it. Even though she was still being a bit tsundere about it, Calli still went out of her way to try and cheer Kiara up after the latter didn't react well to the game's ending by trying to remind her of the good time they had playing the game, and by telling her that while Vincent may have betrayed her, Calli is still her friend and only kills her because it's her job and because Kiara can come back from it. When the chat later asked Kiara if Calli had hugged her yet, she said that while the two hadn't seen each other yet since the stream, Calli always gives her a hug when they meet up anyway.
    Calli: Don't feel bad...
Kiara: Can I... can I have a hug the next time we meet?
    Calli: Okay... If you want.
  • Over the first half of December 2020, Coco went on hiatus for reasons she would not elaborate on. When she made her return, she was showered in superchats by her eager fans; at the same time, she's also received a T-shirt covered in signatures from the other hololivers to cheer her up. In the middle of her stream, Kanata dropped in just to hug her. When asked about it, Kanata replied that they don't normally do that but she felt like saying "Welcome back" in her own way.
  • On December 13, Pekora made good on a promise that if she were to ever hit 1 million subscribers, she would tell her mother that she was a Vtuber. This stream was one of the most anticipated moments in hololive history, having the highest viewership of anything Pekora had done on her individual channel. When her mother was brought on stream and told the truth about what Pekora had been doing for her career, she was incredibly supportive of Pekora and proud of her popularity, despite not knowing much about livestreaming as a business and being wholly ignorant on the practice of Vtubing. Considering one of Pekora's biggest fears was a negative reaction, this was a huge relief for her; her mother even started mimicking her "peko" and making some lighthearted jokes at Pekora's expense in the same vein as much of the audience.
  • During a collaboration stream, chat suggested that Airani Iofiteen and Tokino Sora looked like sisters when they were together. Iofi took the initiative to ask whether she could call Sora "Sora-neesan", and Sora happily agreed. This is especially heartwarming for Sora, who has gone on record saying she wishes to be treated more like a friend than a goddess.
  • As part of the 3rd generation's performance during Beyond The Stage, Noel and Flare sang a duet of Happy Synthesizer with the stage light coloration being hues of pink and purple, an obvious tribute to Aloe's brief time with the company.
  • Ina'nis' stream of Journey (2012) became this, by means of its unique multiplayer format where it matches you with a random player anywhere in the world. Ina's companion, who she quickly named '2', was therefore someone whom she had certainly never met before, and yet she made a point of elevating them to just as much prominence as herself as they made it through the game. 2 in turn made a point of never overshadowing Ina or showing off for the players, despite it becoming obvious early on that they had to be watching Ina's stream. At the end Ina declined to reveal their identity out of concern for their safety (from viewers who may harass them out of, say, malicious envy), leading to the fans to happily declare them 'all of us' and sincerely thank said player for making it a much more memorable experience for everyone.
  • Pretty much every time the HololiveEn girls collab with Haachama and vice versa.
    • The various pairings have produced several great moments varying from Kiara's genuine concern for her diet to the AmeChama dates. One specifically worth noting involves Gura (the only one of the bunch who has yet to have a proper one-on-one collab with Haachama): after having pranked Haachama with a mass of chickens in her house in the EN server, Gura wound up receiving a box of gifts from Haachama that included a few diamonds... prompting quite a few of the viewers on both ends to wonder if the latter even realized it was supposed to be a prank and not a gift (considering how tame it was compared to the pranks seen on the JP server, which usually involve death, property damage, or both).
    • Haachama's general attitude while interacting with the HololiveEN girls as well (especially notable during her "infiltrations" of their Minecraft server, or during her one-on-one collabs with Amelia) has had many claim that Akai Haato is not actually dead, these interactions are a rare way to get her to resurface from the Haachama chaos.
    • One of Haachama's first videos after returning to Japan was a stream where she had the chat help her write messages to Ina, Amelia, and Gura, asking if they wanted to do collabs with her.
  • 4 month old Xander's reaction to Kiara's "Kikerikki!" Character Catchphrase is just downright adorable. He sports a goofy little smile every time Kiara says her catchphrase and whenever she addresses Xander by name.
  • The tail end of December 2020 after Christmas had Roberu taking calls during a stream that brought some amazing highlights and guest calls from various friends; up to and including fellow Holostars, Monoe of VOMS Project, and Yuki Ono. One of the ones that was really unexpected however, was a call from Sora herself. Considering the nature of idol rules and culture in regards to Sora, the moment was huge for both of them, and it clearly meant a lot to Roberu to get a visit from her.
  • During a collab stream of Phasmophobia, after an attempted prank backfired and Korone started becoming genuinely scared and panicking, Fubuki immediately and very kindly searched the house until she found Korone, before consoling her.
  • Airani Iofifteen. Just her. Iofi has proven integral to many other hololive and holostars talents' interactions. In addition to encouraging Moona to start collabing with Pekora, she has also helped to introduce Roberu to Yuki Ono, and brought Pochimaru into contact with hololive to the point that she was able to become Reine's mother. A fan made a video commemorating her important part in many recent events of hololive here.
  • Iofi made a small video where she praises you for trying your best. Top comment is someone who just failed a test before waching the video, stating how glad he is to hear that, getting a response from Iofi.
  • While drawing a picture of Amelia for her birthday celebration, Marine mused about how she doesn't know much about Amelia due to the language barrier, and would like to get to know her better. When the chat told her that Amelia is a pervert and similar to Haachama, Marine seemed excited at the prospect of a new perverted ally. Marine later uploaded the picture to Twitter, addressing Amelia as "Watchama". When Amelia responded to thank her, Marine told her that she wants to be friends with her.
Amelia: Ahhh Marine-senpai!!!! thank you so much for this adorable art!!!!! MECHA KAWAIIII THANK YOU
Marine: Happy birthday, Watson! [...] I want to be friends with you.
  • Following Kiara and Reine's Phogs! collaboration, Kiara mentions being on the phone with Reine afterwards, discussing their thoughts and worries as the latter was very nervous about her first collaboration with someone who isn't her gen-mate. Kiara says that she picked it up from Subaru, who did the same for her when they had their collaboration.
  • During Calli's first (proper) ASMR stream she went into a bit of detail regarding her own issues with trust and confidence and how joining Hololive has made her realize she actually enjoys the company of others and likes having friends to talk to. She also goes a bit into her issues with impostor syndrome, encouraging her viewers who may be experiencing it themselves.
Calli: If you don't think you're special, well...nobody is special, but you're special to someone. You're also all special to me because you support me.
  • Miko encounters Ollie in Minecraft, and after helping her find wool she spends some extra time showing her around, impressing the latter with her various works. The two have a lot of fun in that time, and when Miko helps Ollie adopt a skeleton horse, Ollie chooses it to name it "Millie", a portmanteau of both their names. Later, when her chat tells her that Ollie is in trouble (being attacked by a horde of zombies), Miko immediately drops what she's doing and flies to the rescue, slaughtering all the hostile mobs.
    <kureijiollie> MY HEROOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
  • During a Minecraft stream, Flare mentions that she sometimes has difficulty communicating with others and really appreciates when an energetic person precisely like Polka persistently interacts with her. She then tells her chat that she doesn't intend to tell Polka. As it turns out, Polka was listening in and they have this exchange:
Polka: If she heard that, she would be really happy.
Flare: If I feel like it, I might even tell her in person some day.
Polka: Your secret is safe with me.
  • Polka's 3D debut showcased every side of her, including her rarely-seen emotional and introspective side. After performing some more outlandish circus antics that most viewers came to expect of her, she sat down to read a letter she had prepared for the debut. The letter was a glimpse at her true self; an anxious girl who was afraid of expressing herself and had finally found a home that lets her truly be free to act in the way that she wants. The way she expresses her sheer gratitude at the opportunities presented to her and the friends she's made is both simple and elegant.
Polka: To the other members of the 5th generation...even though it's only been a short time, thank you for all the memories.
  • Iofi, whose subscriber count is among the lowest in Hololive ID, joined the Akukin Construction relay along with the rest of Aqua's Kensetsu. During that stream, she had more than 30 times her usual number of viewers (up to 35k-40k from 500-1000 live viewers). Despite Aqua's own struggles in organizing the event, it is really sweet to see how it has paid off for both her and her fellow members.
  • During Holo EN's five-way art stream, Calli tries to defend the possibility of Gura being Hidden Buxom by pointing out how Gura wears a baggy hoodie, just like how Calli herself likes to wear loose-fitting clothes. Granted, her attempt is immediately dashed by Amelia, Ina, and Kiara bringing up the naked Gura incident, but it's the thought that counts.
Gura: Thank you for trying, Calli, I appreciate it. It's okay, though. If it's gonna be anybody, it's gonna be you guys. And that's... good, that's fine.
    Calli, Ina, and Kiara: Awww!
  • At one point during Calli's Papers, Please stream, her in-game son drew her a crayon drawing using the crayons she had bought him earlier as a birthday present. Calli sounded legitimately choked up as she called the drawing "the cutest thing I've ever seen". As an added bonus, this happened shortly after Calli had said that at least for the remainder of the stream, she would allow the Deadbeats to call her "dad", and told them to be grateful for the crayons. As such, several Deadbeats took it upon themselves to draw fanart of Calli in the style of childish crayon drawings and upload them to Twitter under Calli's art hashtag (scroll down a bit).
@nojam_96: I drew with a crayon my dad bought me
@rawru6969: thanks for the crayons, Dad
@_FRS4_: Thank you for the crayons Dad
@TheSaltyShrimp4: When you give a kid a crayon
@CLERO_ART: don't forget your hat for work! love you dad!
@kellyou_: Our daddy is adorable. Thanks for the crayon, I use it immediately for this
@wewonyall: I can't draw but thanks for the present dad
  • Watson recounting a story of Gura mailing her a box of lemons. Fake lemons. And despite how bizarre she found the gesture to be, she still has every intention of keeping them. And it's topped by Gura's smooth line.
Gura: These lemons will last forever, like my love for you!
  • During the big Minecraft sports meet's aftermath, Sora was doing her usual watching from afar as everyone else was about to have a group shot taken only for Aki to notice her and drag her to the group photo. Sora talks about it in this clip While not confirmed to be connected, there was later on a collab between Sora and Aki (ultimately named "Apple Soda") where they talked about down to earth stuff like diets.
  • Calli and Kiara's vacation to Hokkaido was full of moments that proved just how close they are. Aside from spending the whole week together in various locations and enjoying themselves, one instance sticks out during their first day when they went skiing. On their last run down the mountain, Kiara completely lost control of her skis and ended up crashing into a fence. Even though Calli had been still suited up, she was immediately next to Kiara to ensure her safety before staff came over to check on her. Kiara would later note the double meaning of calling this event a "near death experience" and said she ended up crying both out of pain and of relief for having her friend next her.
  • During Coco's breakdown in a now-privated stream from early February 2021 regarding the continued harassment throughout the end of 2020 into 2021, Kanata had started to hear her tearing up and immediately went to her room to check on her. As soon as she was let in, she immediately hugged Coco to comfort her. Even though they had only really met and gotten to know each other a year prior and despite Kanata having misgivings about being able to get along well with Coco due to a difference in personality, the pair have proven to be the among the most loyal friends that either one of them could have. In a similar vein, fans wasted no time before showering Coco with messages of love and support on Twitter and Reddit.
  • Kiara and Calli held one last Takamori concert to see Kiara off before she had to fly out of Japan, the two ended the concert with a Takamori version of "Live Again" with altered lyrics celebrated the absolutely unbreakable bond of friendship they have developed. Just to keep the good mood going, they sang "Excuse My Rudeness, But Could You Please RIP?" together as an encore, and Kiara shows that she's got some good chops.
  • During the Takamori concert, Kiara and Calli sang a version of "Guy Love" with lyrics rewritten by Kiara, during which she sang "that's why our matching bracelets say Takamori". A few days later, Kiara posted on Twitter that she had met Calli one more time, and Calli had given her matching friendship bracelets saying "Taka" and "Mori", that she had made herself.
  • During Astel's 50k celebration stream, after talking about the Holostars members who have graduated, the stream got a more heartwarming with this speech:
Astel: For our Holostars fans, this year is a big one for all of us, you guys might want us to do a lot of things, and have mentioned it from time to time. Have no worries - us talents and the management have been watching. We know and we will try our best, so from now, let's smile together. Like the title of my stream: "let's move forward from now on!"
  • During Gura's first Papers, Please stream, Calli was in her chat, giving her encouragement. When Gura was feeling especially down after her son died in game, Calli promised she would look after himnote .
  • Korone was playing Sonic 3 and Knuckles using level skips to get back to certain points she wanted to play. Intending to goto the Death Egg boss, an English member of the chat started to ask her why she wasn't going to skip straight to the boss. Korone insisted that it was not possible and that she has to play through the stage again, while getting a little irritated (perhaps due to the stage itself annoying her). The chat insisted that Korone CAN skip straight to the Death Egg final bossnote  if she selected Doomsday Zone 2 on the level select. She reluctantly resets the console and goes to the level select saying that if they are lying to her she'll be a very angry dog. Upon selecting it she immediately thinks she is still on the level they just pulled her out of but quickly shuts up when the stage comes into view and she is on the intended boss. She puts down the controller, hides herself slightly off screen looking embarrassed, and timidly apologizes and thanks the "overseas guys" for their advice. Given that backseaters normally are treated with disdain, it's nice to see that when she genuinely is grateful for help, she isn't beyond admitting she was wrong and making up for getting angry.
  • During their first collab, Gura and Anya spent most of the beginning and ending of the stream arguing which one of them is cuter. Specifically, both were convinced that the other one was cuter, to the point that Gura used her status as senpai to declare that Anya is the cuter one, which some fans found made an amusing contrast with Kiara using her senpai status to jokingly bully Reine into accepting her own status as a turkey.
  • Watame's entire play through of Undertale. Watame absolutely fell in love with the story and its colorful characters - especially the kind and motherly Toriel - and was honestly moved to tears several times throughout the game. Between the laughs and tears the whole experience ended up being so special to her that she ultimately decided not to play the No Mercy route and leave the happy ending as-is.
  • Calli wanted to finish her playthrough of OMORI in one last stream, and she did so with a nearly 10 hour streaming session. The content of the game is extremely emotionally heavy, and the chat could tell from her avatar's reactions that she was clearly crying and pushing through the tears near the end (though they were crying as well.) Without even realizing it, Calli ended up getting the Good and the secret ending. OMOCAT was watching and congratulated her in the chat for playing the game, and wished for her to now go get some rest. Although Calli was still processing the experience, she was overjoyed.
  • During Haato's hiatus in March 2021, both Miko and Amelia have made it clear that they miss her and wish for her to return.
Miko: Haachama, please come back soon!
    Amelia:haachama come home ♪ ( ´θ`)♥️
  • Because spammers constantly harrass Coco, she was forced to adopt a policy of members-only mode for chats whenever she streams, something she has said she dislikes and wishes she had a better option. Whenever she collabs with people, they often have to set their own chat to members-only as well. They all hate doing it, but they've all said they'd do worse if it meant supporting their friend. One visible example is during a Minecraft collab between Coco and Flare. Flare noticed the chat turning into a shitstorm of spam, and calmly switches on members-only until it's quelled. She later addresses that she's not all that fussed about the spam, but is more worried about Coco thinking that she was the cause of this.
  • During her 7th live concert on April 11, 2021, AZKi revealed that she was originally meant to graduate in July 2022, something that was already planned since the Virtual Diva project started. With the support she garnered over the years, however, she can now scrap that original plan and move beyond its schedule, going from Route A to Route B, so to say.
  • During a stream, Towa reveals she asked management to expedite Nene getting her 3d debut, explaining she knows the feeling of seemingly being left out and wanting to do something about it for someone else.
  • After what seemed like an eternity of hell, YouTube pushed an update to their anti-spam filters that detect and delete accounts utilizing 3rd party software to type in stream chats, which has seemingly completely solved Coco's hellish harassment problem - both her new outfit stream on April 23, 2021 and the Meme Review two days later were held without any sort of members-only filter or slow mode, and next to no spam was to be found. She sounded particularly relieved during the new outfit stream, quite possibly not only due to the new outfit itself.
  • After HoloID released their first original, "Id:entity Voices", Astel of Holostars was given permission to stream his reaction. He takes great care listening to the song line by line, giving his own emotional impression and thoughts about the lyrics, overall giving a very thorough analysis. At the end, he even does his own cover of the song! He also sends his well-wishes to Ollie (who was on break at the time), hoping that she's doing well. Ollie would eventually return the favor by doing her own analysis of Holostars' own original song, "Just Follow Stars" later on. Just like her aniki, her own review is just as thorough (with a lot of gushing), and does her own cover as well.
  • The video for Kiara and Gura's cover of "Aikotoba III" is full of incredibly sweet moments between the two of them, such as them having fun racing down Rainbow Road in Mario Kart 8, them hugging in the first shot of the video, them riding in a shopping cart and having the time of their lives, Gura shouting her "a" across the ocean, and Kiara welcoming a new chick to KFP. Then, during the final verse, we get a group shot of all of holoMyth together and smiling, turning the song into a celebration of their friendship.
  • While playing Devil May Cry 5, Gura grew quite fond of Nero, expressing her pride in his Character Development and admitting that she was emotionally attached to him.
Gura: Oh my god, I'm so glowing about Nero! Poor Nero was beat down that entire game! Called a dead weight, feeling so bad, so angry, and then he got such heavy news... And then- The comeback! The redemption! He found his inner power! He knocked out the dead weight, he said "I'm not a dead weight". He called Dante a dead weight! Oh, so good... Our boy Newo. Newo... Newo and Dante... Our boy! Yeah, it's like- I'm weirdly proud of him! It's weird... I love getting emotionally attached to characters in games, don't you?
  • On May 18th, 2021, Ina ended up oversleeping for her Minecraft stream by 2 hours. Kiara started a guerilla stream while doing everything on social media and Discord to get Ina's attention. Amelia joined in for some shenanigans before going to sleep herself. For all the glorious chaos that the Motor Mouth'd Kiara was creating, including getting #BringInaBack to trend at #4 on Twitter, it goes to show how much she genuinely cares for her genmates.
  • Despite the fact that Coco was instrumental in forming the EN branch of hololive, for several months after their debut, they weren't able to collaborate with her due to the many harassers that have plagued many streams. When that changed in late May 2021, Calli immediately reached out to her and asked what she wanted to do. Naturally, they decided to do a meme review.
  • Matsuri talks about the "From 1st" concert. She reveals that she was pushing for it for a while because (among other reasons) she wanted to pave the way for other gens to do likewise. She also mentions how she didn't want just one person to be the star, but all of them.
  • Miyabi looks back on the two years since he debuted as Holostars' first talent.
    • Looking at his first tweets and stream, he remembered being incredibly stressed and worried as the starting group, feeling like he was walking on eggshells due to the turbulent response the group initially received. It got so bad to the point that he had a hard time eating and sleeping due to his stress. However, he also mentioned that Yagoo had selected them personally, and often came to check on him during his early days - it's thanks to his support along with his manager, Shinove, later on that he was able to keep going to today.
    • In a separate stream, he also mentions one of the earlier Hololive events where he and Izuru took part in, and recalled how there were very few people who came to see them. He then expressed his wish for a Holostars-only event someday - a wish that was granted in 2020 with the Oshabe Fest, and later their 2nd Anniversary Rally.
    • During the stream, he mentions that during his debut stream, he started out with just 10 viewers. On that day, on his second anniversary, his view count was over 200 times of that, showing how far he has come.
  • During Amelia's June 5th 2021 charity stream, the fans came out in force, more than meeting the initial goal before the stream even started, to her amused consternation. Taken further in that Amelia was trying to expand the possibilities of charity streams for all members of hololive by experimenting with a new tool to do just that.
  • On Ame's Supa Sunday stream held on June 6th 2021, she recounts a story where she met and got close to her cat Wellington. The poor cat was very anti social and wouldn't socialize with any other cats or people, but Ame volunteered at a shelter and would keep him company each day, letting her pet him or brush him occasionally, and then eventually, there was one day where he was comfortable enough to lay down across Ame's lap during her lunch breaks.
  • After a Gura/Calliope Minecraft collaboration stream on February 25th, 2021, got cut short due to technical difficulties, Gura uploaded a (deliberately childish-looking) drawing of herself and Calliope, to which Kiara responded by adding fuel to the popular interpretation of HoloMyth as a pseudo-"family" (before humorously getting into an argument with people who chastised her for not wanting to take Gura to the aquarium).
Kiara: Good job gura! What a cute drawing of you and papa...! So proud of you! I'll put it on the fridge OK?
  • In the lead-up to the summer of 2021, Sora began collaborating more frequently with her kouhai in Minecraft, including working on buildings with Flare, a tour of Pekoland with Polka and a flustered Kanata, and a tour with Subaru. For Sora, this marks a slow change from her previous tendencies to simply watch others when she saw them on the server, and for her kouhai, it demonstrates that they're beginning to see her more as a person than a goddess.
  • On 12 June 2021, not too long after Coco announced her graduation, Haato announced an indefinite hiatus for unmentioned reasons. Given prior circumstances for earlier breaks, there's plenty of basis for anxiety and conjecture. Cue Kanata sweeping in with a timely Tweet, reassuring the fans that Haato is only taking a break and not leaving permanently, quelling much of the brewing anxiety. Guardian angel indeed.
  • Ollie's stories about the HoloID collab has her gushing over Temma's kindness throughout the stream. Notably, she remembered how after feeling down about the rehearsal run, she received a DM from Temma reassuring her in English, which surprised and touched her. She also recalled how he was very gentlemanly and put in a lot of effort into leading conversations with the ID girls, something that she really appreciated, and notes that her respect for Temma had increased tenfold after that.
  • During Coco and Amelia's joint Reddit meme review, there were several memes that featured the both of them, such as a fan comic depicting Amelia being responsible for Coco joining Hololive in the first place due to time traveling and shooting Coco with a Watson Concoction dart, causing her to crash into the Hololive HQ, or another fan comic that showed Coco entrusting Amelia with continuing her legacy by giving her the Asacoco recipe, notions that the two were all too happy to play along with.

  • The music video for Haato's second single, Infinity, was originally titled "2st [sic] Single 【 Infinity 】", but this was later changed to say "2nd", showing that it was a simple mistake. However, several commenters stated their preference for the original title, with some of them even theorizing that it contained some kind of hidden symbolism regarding the HAACHAMA×Akaihaato arc, since the song basically serves as the Grand Finale to said story arc. This lead Haato to change the title back to say "2st" again, as well as mark several of the fan comments with a heart.
Commenter: Why did she rename 2st to 2nd? I liked the charm the original title had.
  • As Coco's graduation drew nearer, she and her fellow genmates released a final collaborative single, "Kiseki Knot", celebrating their friendship. The special thanks for the song was dedicated to all of the 4th gen's fans, with Coco's fanbase, the Tatsunokos, last but absolutely not least.
  • Miko's English collab with Coco was a funny follow-up to her earlier English collab stream that had Coco try to interpret her "elite" grasp of English. In the fifth and final lesson, she does her best to express her gratitude to Coco in English. It's equal parts heartwarming and tearjerking.
  • Pekora ended the Usada Construction Summer Festival with an absolutely massive fireworks display that was also tied into a weird display that slowly revealed a message. One final tribute to Coco: "THANK YOU, DRAGON".
  • The Summer Festival was the first time several members got to meet Gura as time zone differences (and Gura's shyness) kept that from happening. Many of them were so happy to meet her.
  • Really, the whole Usada Construction Summer Festival itself is this. Only eight months prior to the Festival, in September of 2020, Pekora stated that she didn't want to hire anyone else to Usada Construction and that she didn't like logging into Minecraft when there were too many people. Come June 2021, not only had she expanded her construction company dramatically, she also played a central role in an event that brought at least 27 other members online simultaneously - many of whom weren't from the JP branch to begin with! How far she has come in eight short months is incredible.
  • Despite the jokes and memes about Coco being "the death of YAGOO's idol dream", it's incredibly sweet to hear from the man himself that he will miss her during Coco's pre-graduation interview with him. The fact that he seems genuinely amused and entertained by her antics and teasing only makes it better. For that matter, YAGOO's answer to the question of whether his dream is actually dying really affirms that hololive is all about joy and entertainment at the end of the day: "No, if anything, seeing you all having fun out there, I'd actually say I'm getting closer to seeing it come true."
  • Coco's Fansa cover was made possible by Ryo's Music Lab, who reached out to her a few days after her graduation announcement to ask if she wanted to cover a song, pledging to make it happen no matter what it took. The resulting cover, which had to be done in a key more suitable for Coco's range and was completed in less than three weeks, was entirely a labor of love on their part, and they refused all of Coco's attempts to pay for their efforts.
  • Subaru's real father thanking the viewers for supporting Subaru. You can tell that he is really proud of his daughter and all the things she accomplished.
  • Day 1 of hololive English's online panel at Anime Expo 2021, the girls were mostly following a script of introducing themselves and announcing new holoEN-themed merchandise. One genuine surprise that the girls weren't prepared for was videos from the JP, Stars, and ID branches with individual members giving their impressions of the EN girls and how great they all are.
  • In the aftermath of the Usada Construction Summer Festival, Pekora went through the now-empty festival area and found Fujiki, the strider that Iofi had won in the raffle and left behind in a glass enclosure rather than take it home. Pekora felt bad for it, opened up the enclosure enough to give it some air, and wrote a sign declaring that it was free to a good home, and if no one stepped up, she'd put it back in the prize lottery next year. Fujiki didn't have to wait very long though, as Watame (who had paid for Iofi's raffle ticket in the first place) showed up soon after and, after being assured that she wasn't sniping someone else's chance because nobody else wanted it, she decided to take it home. The way she reassures Fujiki that it'll be loved in her care brings to mind her own stories of Parental Issues.
  • Aki had a return stream (from a small hiatus to give her voice a break), which was greeted with quite some applause and superchats. She had a few positive announcements: Merchandise to celebrate her hitting 500k subs (A dakimakura by Parsley-F and ASMR tracks), that she'd take over running the Hololive ARK server and was making a new "for fans" server to replace the one Coco had on her own dime. HoloARK isn't going anywhere.
  • Doubling as Awesome: After over 21 streams and roughly over 90 hours and 4,600 attempts, Aruran finally bred a blue axolotl, becoming the first on the Holostars Minecraft server to do so. The sheer joy in his voice is infectious, and he was nearly brought to Tears of Joy. He proceeds to name the blue axolotl after Shien, who led Holostars to victory in Ponpoko's Vtuber Fall Guys tournament. Many of the other Holostars members gave their congratulations to Aruran, including Shien. Later that stream, Aruran bred eight more blue axolotls, and named them all after the rest of Holostars. After all those streams (and possibly Sanity Slippage), it's incredibly heartwarming to see Aruran's hard work finally pay off.
  • On July 24, 2021, Haato came back from her hiatus (which started not long after Coco's graduation announcement in June), encouraged by an offline meeting between her, Kanata and Coco wherein she got motivated to stream again. Not only that, but she now inherits the Reddit Shitpost Review! Her episode on August 1 2021 strengthened this with an intro sequence that puts Coco's "Gangimari Dragon" to a collection of "cursed" Haato animations, before seguing into the episode proper with an animation depicting Coco Passing the Torch to her.
  • During Oga's 3D reveal stream, he receives a letter from Fubuki. Although brief and light-hearted, it's clear that she's overjoyed about him finally getting his 3D model, and expresses her gratefulness to him for being willing to collab with her as FOXDEMON from the very beginning.
  • IRyS had never played Minecraft before. She was excited to jump into the EN server, but she ended up logging into the JP server instead. Polka was kind enough to come rescue her from creepers and zombies, and showed her to a bed. After she left and properly joined the EN server, both Calli and Ame logged on for some helpful advice. Her first Minecraft session also turned into her first unofficial collaborations, but everyone was watching her and cheering her on.
  • Korone playing through SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated is full of these moments. She's clearly a big SpongeBob fan and is enjoying every minute of it, and finding every reference and Easter Egg. After one stream, she mentions how she purchased several SpongeBob DVDs, and then she tells a story of how the first time she talked to her manager, she mentioned being a SpongeBob fan. Her manager revealed she was also a fan, and also had a lot of DVDs. The two became good friends following that.
  • More on the fans side, when Marine uploaded a video of herself getting slapped across the face, she was expecting the reaction of laughter like when she, a naughty person, gets bonked on the head. However, due to the lack of context and because it was a realistically portrayed slap instead of cartoonishly getting a chop on the head and the fact that the video showed Marine crying, the video got downvoted heavily. An alternate scenario of Marine being aroused by the slap got a better reception, but still received a moderate amount of downvotes. Marine noticed the reactions via the comments and was surprised about it as she planned for it to be a joke which heartwarmingly backfired because her viewers' hearts/feelings were hurt which she calls everyone out on their honesty with a certain tone as she thought her fans are perverts. It was not shown but it was implied that she felt happy and appreciate everyone's love and concern for her so, to heal everyone's wounded hearts, another video was made in which a happy Marine receives headpats instead, with overwhelming positive upvotes and little downvotes as a result. This goes to show that even if fans like to make jokes about Marine being a perverted masochist, seeing her getting slapped in the face is a bit too much as her fans see Marine as their precious treasure. Not long after, another video was made, being a Bait-and-Switch of the 1st video.
  • Sora in her Romancing SaGa 3 remaster streams, talks about her history with the game, being first introduced by her father playing the original game as well as her own experiences with the game in her past. And her glee in playing and making progress is pretty clear, including talking about "Muse-sama".
  • Baelz's credits is filled with nods to both the people who made/animate her model and her genmates, giving them flattering alliterative prefixes and reminding the viewer to watch them.
  • Gura's first solo Minecraft stream on the JP server spawned a few of these:
  • Mumei's first stream where she plays Journey (2012) matches her with a very experienced player, who was quickly dubbed "Friend". Friend served as a great companion to Mumei, wordlessly guiding her across the game and only giving her nudges in her more scatterbrained moments, never overstaying their welcome. They're essentially Mumei's parallel to "Two" from Ina's Journey, making for a very adorable and relaxing experience.
  • HoloMyth's 3rd TTRPG session falls apart early into the stream due to various technical difficulties - namely Calli having to use a laptop setup other than her usual one since she was on vacation visiting her family, leading to the stream being patchy and audio quality having some members overly quiet or some with an odd echo - however before Calli can attempt to bring all the blame onto herself and get heavily critical for things being out of her control, her genmates proceed to lift her up and say she did her best and that things can always be tried again another day. The remainder of the stream turns into an equally hilarious and heartwarming zatsudan-turned-guerrilla Gartic Phone stream, with the girls messing around and laughing and having fun together, really showcasing the friendship they've built up over the almost year of streaming together, and ending on a family photo.
  • Sana's Celeste stream had her doggedly try to eat strawberries with her reason being "I want to make jam for the Sanallites". And as if returning the sentiment, viewers were nothing but supportive during her attempts.
  • Towa's collab with both rpr and TrulySquid in Apex Legends. Unlike the last time where she got a suspension for collaborating with two men on stream and flimsily claiming that they were hololive staff, this time she was really proud and happy that she actually had fun playing with other people.
  • Ollie, Suisei, Miko, Aki, Fubuki, Korone, Noel, Lamy, Botan, Kiara, and IRyS had an Among us collab in Sep 5, 2021, planned by Miko.
    • However, Ollie keep having connection problem because they were using a mod for proximity chat which requires VPN to US Server, and Ollie's connection couldn't handle it (having ping as high as 3800 ms at times). Ollie tweeted that she "can't stream nor play in-game, so [Ollie would] fall back from the collab", having said she didn't want to hinder the collab especially after causing 30 mins delay, and the group had some rounds using the mods without Ollie. But on the first game where Ollie was disconnected, the group decided that they will have some rounds without the mod so that Ollie can still play with them. Miko especially showed that she cares a lot to her kouhai and keep mentioning Ollie and that she didn't want to leave Ollie behind. Ollie thanked them all in tears in the end of the collab.
    • During the collab, IRyS's chat was invaded by the same Chinese spam bots that targeted Fubuki, with no mods or restrictions in place to stop them. The chat countered this by spamming heart emojis. Impressively, the influx of heart emojis was so massive that it ended up drowning out the spam bots. Super Chats were also sent that contained further support, advice on dealing with spam bots, and messages simply telling her that nothing was wrong and to enjoy the game. When the spam finally died out, IRyS whispered "Otsu, chat. Otsu, chat. Good job, IRyStocrats."
  • During one of her Haachama cooking streams Haachama revealed that Ame had wished her well after another stream where Haachama had shared some of her concerns and difficulties. Haachama was touched by the gesture and expressed how Ame is always so nice to her and declared Ame "best girl."
  • Haachama finding out that Sana and Baelz are Australian. For context, Haachama studied abroad in Australia for three years, and now she seems so happy to have two Australians as her kouhai.
  • Kiara held a Minecraft collab stream with none other than her mom! What followed was an extremely wholesome game session in which both Ina and Gura also logged on to say hello, Ina's avatar even wearing a yukata and bowing properly upon meeting her. Made all the more lovely by how Kiara's mom seems to genuinely be having fun playing with her daughter, and how supportive she is of her Vtuber career. The fans very quickly gave her the nickname "Mamatori."
  • Mumei ended one of her Minecraft streams due to being tired - the stream itself already a big event due to turning into an impromptu collab with Sana and Ina, the Council members' first collab with a senpai in EN with the collab ban lifted - however she was apparently so tired, she forgot to log out, leaving her character standing still in game. Rather than leave her to the elements and the monsters, Sana built a box around her out of stone, with a torch inside for her character should she wake up again, and a sign saying "Box to protecc cinnamon roll!!!!!". As an extra note, Bae was on the server later to do her own building, however with Mumei still online, no-one could sleep through the night, yet it seems Bae wasn't bothered by this at all, cheerfully calling out to Mumei when it seemed like she finally woke up and realised she was still logged in.
  • Ina and Sana did an Ina-Sana-Ty collab in which they played Super Bunny Man. The stream reveals that the two have been friends with each other online for years (including Ina asking Sana to not call her senpai), and that they're Vitriolic Best Buds, getting into a well-meaning argument about their tastes in coffee in which Ina is the most pugnacious the viewers have ever seen her!
  • The ''Minecraft'' collab between Kiara and Mumei has Kiara give Mumei a few nice things while teaching (or trying to teach, considering Mumei's forgetful nature) her the finer points of the game (demonstrating how far Kiara's come as a player). She even offers German lessons. All in all, Mumei's first inter-gen collab was quite wholesome.
  • Mumei's Karaoke stream blowing up in viewers was in part due to Baelz and Sana feeling her efforts deserved notice (among many others) Kronii and Fauna were also sighted in the chat. By the end, people were adoring her singing enough to have over 30,000 viewers and trending 4th on twitter.
  • Lamy in this clip talked about her days just watching Hololive and how she was touched by the streamer reading her modest superchats, making Lamy want to join so she too can do the same. She then reveals the streamer (her favorite) was Marine. This makes her joy around Marine particularly heartwarming in hindsight.
  • During their collaboration, Noel and Japanese cosplayer Iori Moe really hit it off, and managed to enjoy plenty of adorable moments together.
  • During their adventure around the JP Minecraft server, in which they're mesmerized enough by what their Senpai have built, Kronii and Mumei have an unexpected encounter with Sora outside the Tower of Babel. What follows is an exchange of gifts (beds and bread from Sora and berries from Mumei with a couple of flowers Kronii is carrying), while the two Council members get giddy over meeting their ultimate Senpai. Sora then happily leads the duo to their next destination, Pekoland, and after a night's rest to get away from some Phantoms and Sora's departure, the duo can only gush about how nice she is.
  • Kronii and Mumei's general dynamic is very much like sisters with Kronii being the older one. Between actively looking out for Mumei and showing quite some tolerance for Mumei being herself, it's pretty heartwarming to watch as well as funny.
  • Shion shared that, when her cat died at the vet and she was in tears, her mother waved off being woken up in the middle of the night to comfort her daughter and Aqua rushed to Shion's side that very evening.
  • While playing Minecraft Roboco ends up dying in lava while trying to make a secret entrance and loses everything she had on her, including her elytra. Ina, who was in the middle of a late night guerilla stream at the time, sees the notification in the chat and decides to drop her construction project to go get her senpai a new elytra. She even goes out of her way to enchant and name it before leaving it in Roboco's house as a "Senpai Tax" from her and Sana, who was also playing at the time.
  • After their brief "Civil War" in Minecraft many fans began worrying about the relationship between Kronii and Fauna, especially after all of the arguing they and the other Council members had during their last collab meeting where they played Pico Park. In a superchat catchup stream the next day Kronii was quick to quash any concerns, proclaiming that it was all in good fun and there was no bad blood between any of them.
  • In October 2021, Polka learnt that Mumei did not have a house in Minecraft, so she built her a small house in the JP server, which has plenty of storage room for berries. Mumei is aware of this and voices her eagerness to see it. Mumei's reaction when she finally got to see it in person was just as heartwarming, with Mumei nearly crying with joy, ending with her leaving a note and gift for Polka as thanks.
  • Shortly after the EN and JP Minecraft server merge, Gura takes a trip to the JP server's experience farm. As she's going down the water elevator, she moves too far out of it and falls to her death. Unfortunately, she didn't set a spawn point and ends up back at the portal, far from the experience farm. She races all the way back... only to find Polka already there, stowing away all of Gura's items so that they don't despawn. Gura is overwhelmingly grateful for Polka's actions.
  • Partway through Calli's endurance stream of Jump King, Bae and IRyS join in on voice chat. The three spend the next few hours talking about a number of topics, including paranormal experiences, internet situations, and favorite childhood stories and anime. Once Calli finishes playing, she thanks the other two for hanging out as they helped the time fly by.
    • Even better? The unexpected collab would sow the seeds of what would eventually become their very own podcast, Chad Cast, with some fans jokingly calling this stream Episode 0.
  • Kanata reveals that Coco had recently gotten her second dose off the COVID-19 vaccine and had developed a high fever as a result. Kanata, being the angel that she is, made sure that her friend was taken care of, including buying her drinks and sweets in the early morning as well as offering her different fever medication when the one she took didn't seem to work all that well. It really goes to show how close the two are even if they aren't working directly together anymore.
  • The morning before the 2021 Minecraft Sports Festival, Mio and Miko were hard at work building a gigantic shadowy black dragon flying in the sky above the sports grounds. Even if Coco Kiryu is no longer with Hololive, she is always quite literally watching over everyone. Made even more profound by every member who saw it reacting with a mixture of surprise and fond respect. Even IRyS and the HoloCouncil, who joined Hololive after Coco's graduation, still acknowledge her with similar emotions.
Chats in every streamer's channel: Kaichou o7
  • Fauna's Resident Evil VII stream turns into this. While it initially started with just Bae there as emotional support, soon the other Council members joined in unplanned to lend their support — first Mumei mid-stream, then Kronii, and finally Sana exactly during the Jack Baker boss fight. This culminates in everyone cheering Fauna on when she finally defeats the boss.
  • Chloe's debut stream is a nonstop cavalcade of endearing moments for holoX's resident cleaner, from her cutesy voice that contrasts with her dark appearance and role in the organization to the reveal of her beautiful red eyes.
  • Nene revealed that she suffers from depression. It got so bad that turning on her computer and the Discord notification sound were enough to make her cry, she couldn't sleep for four days, didn't want to eat, and had no motivation. She eventually broke down during a member's only stream. Polka immediately came to her house and took her to the hospital. As a result, Nene got some much-needed time off, as well as medication. This is yet another example of just how close Gen 5 are.
  • On November 28, 2021, Okayu announced via Twitter that she was exhausted and that the next scheduled stream would be canceled. Later that day, she revealed that she was feeling stressed and mentally overwhelmed, and ended up crashing at Korone's house. She visited with Korone and her family, and recovered quickly. On her stream on December 4, she credited Korone for helping her when she truly needed it, and said how thankful she was to have friends she could rely on. Korone still let her in despite it being late at night, listened to her problems, and even shared some ice cream. Keep in mind that by this point, Korone had been on her own hiatus for almost a month due to exhaustion.
  • When Bae was 40 minutes late to a chatting stream, Kiara started her own stream to wait for her (she had previously done another waiting stream for a collab with Ina). Roughly 10 minutes in, she successfully managed to message Bae, after which she hopped into a voice chat call with her. Bae was clearly flustered/upset at missing the scheduled stream time due to oversleeping (she cited her alarm not going off, along with only getting 5 hours of sleep, as the reason for the mistake). Kiara was nothing but supportive of Bae, even encouraging her to get better sleeping habits, citing Calli as someone who had grown from having similar Sleep Deprivation problems.
  • Near the end of Calli's English teaching stream with Lui, the latter says that it had been her dream to collaborate with Calli and reveals that it was her first 1-on-1 senpai collab. HoloX being the first main branch generation to debut since the English branch opened, it's a testament to how Hololive has grown into a global brand that one of its members would choose an EN member for their first senpai collab.
  • During the totsumachi section of Aruran's 24-hour stream drive to 200,000 subscribers, Sora unexpectedly calls in to his and the chat's complete surprise, congratulating him on his day-long stream and reaching 150,000, a success in of itself. The two spend several minutes having a very amicable and pleasant exchange as they discuss the holostars' recent live and growth, during which Sora affirms that she'll continue watching over her juniors on both sides of hololive Production, how she's inspired by his Pizza Oven Station in Minecraft, and how she has been actively following their careers and can relate to the stars' growth struggle from her early days as she wishes that they continue to grow and be themselves, all while Aruran is moved to tears from her kindness and support. After the call ends, Aruran remains awestruck.
Aruran: The weight of her words though! Why is everyone so nice in hololive?
  • During the 2022 Mario Kart 8 Tournament Laplus ended up crying not because of her own efforts but because Chloe did so amazing during the prelims, being the only holox member to reach the finals.
  • At the start of 2022, Gura very nervously added Okayu as a friend on Discord. Okayu has confessed to being a "secret Gura fan"; and when she got the request, she was incredibly happy.
  • The fact that, even though it was only in Minecraft, four of the girls (Gura, Kiara, Ina, Mumei) got to go to Disney World together, and Gura reacting with probably the most unbridled happiness and enthusiasm she's ever shown.
  • In Shigure Ui's 3D debut stream, she gives a heartfelt thanks to the various VTuber friends who have encouraged and supported her getting there, but most especially to Subaru. Though she is Subaru's 'mama', she says that Subaru is essentially her own 'mama' what with the duck being the one who got her into VTubing in the first place.
  • Mumei decides to do a watchalong of Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina for her members-only streams, and Azure-papa takes notice.
  • When Baelz got too scared to continue playing Outlast (the last jumpscare she encountered before stopping briefly made her heart rate reach 135 BPM, and a few minutes later, she was on the verge of tears claiming to not be able to feel her left arm, which can be a tell-tale sign of an oncoming heart attack, although thankfully, in this case, it wasn't), Calli and Fauna, who were watching her play and keeping her company via voice chat, were nothing but supportive, telling her that she could stop playing whenever she wanted to and they wouldn't think any less of her for it and praising her for getting as far as she did.
  • On February 26, 2022, Ame held a guerilla karaoke stream that suddenly turned into a surprise offline collab with Ina, Kronii, Mumei, and Fauna, with the girls clearly having a lot of fun and enjoying meeting each other IRL.
  • During her February 26, 2022 superchat reading stream, Calli made it clear that despite everything that has happened, mentioning Rushia will not be made taboo, and that she won't just pretend like Rushia never existed.
  • During a Pokémon Legends: Arceus stream a few days after the announcement, Kiara not only reiterated that mentioning Rushia will not be made taboo, but also talked about how she wasn't just a fan of Pekora, but of Generation 3 as a whole, and that while as a fellow employee, she understands why Rushia's contract was terminated, as a fan she is just as sad about the news as the rest of Rushia's fans.
  • La+ is a huge fan of the Superhero genre, and as such, when she got the chance to interview Robert Pattinson and Zoë Kravitz about their roles in the Batman, it was overwhelmingly adorable. For all that she maintained a careful, quiet, and professional demeanor, she was clearly delighted to have that chance.
  • During their English learning stream, Calli asks Lui about playing more Outlast. She's afraid to do more as she can't handle horror. Calli decides to help her play as she's a lot better with horror. Come March 13th 2022, and the two do an off-collab where Lui plays Outlast while Calli acts as emotional support.
  • After one-and-a-half years of waiting, Holomyth finally got to perform in 3D at Link Your Wish. Each one of them flaunting their new models in their first official performance. This video truly encapsulates what this meant to all of them, Kiara especially. One can't help but cheer seeing them get what they wanted after all this time and totally reveling in it. This is also true for ID Gen 1, who practically stole the show with their performances, and got tons of praise from the other members and lots of new fans. Doubling as an actual tearjerking moment, Oga, who was doing stream watch-alongs on both days of 3rd Fes, was silently crying behind his screen over Risu's and Iofi's 3D performance on Day 2 in this clip. Considering how the beautiful moment broke Oga's proud and stoic nature, and responding to Shien's message with "Because we are their gen mates, right Shien?", really cements the familial ties they have with ID Gen 1. Moved into funny with his later admission that his tears for Risu were real, but he faked the ones for Iofi out of politeness. Iofi was hilariously indignant.
  • In Calli's post-Link Your Wish stream to celebrate the release of her UnAlive album, she talks about how she used to dream about being an Ascended Fangirl for a music group, getting to hang out with them and make music. When she moved to Japan, she didn't have anyone and struggled so much. But since joining Hololive, she's made lots of new and close friends, gets to do on all kinds of creative projects and have fun with them, and can keep going thanks to all their support. She admits that she has trust issues, but says several times that EN is like a family to her, and they helped her learn to open up. She may not have become an Ascended Fangirl, but she's come into her own and basically made her dream become a reality.
  • During a 24-hour New Year's stream, Korone got a surprise shoutout from Sonic the Hedgehog in Vtuber form and went absolutely over the moon, Squeeing as her favorite hedgehog offered words of encouragement.
  • It isn't a secret that Fuma is a big fan of Holostars, especially Astel, and that his main motivator for playing Apex was wanting to play with Chibistars someday. During an Apex stream, he was motivated by Astel's encouraging comments to get a champion for him, only to fall short of his target several times (he finished 2nd for a few matches). Shortly after Fuma ended his stream (while apologizing for failing to get a champion), Astel (who was busy working on something in Minecraft) then dropped whatever he was doing to get revenge for Fuma...by not only getting a champion in his stead, but using Horizon (Fuma's main), a feat that took 5 hours. And right after that, despite usually being the type to sleep and wake early, Fuma, who watched the entire thing, decided to try and get a champion again. Under the encouragement of everyone, including Ollie, Matsuri and Astel, he finally manages to cinch one.
  • Marine's music video for "Marine Sailing!!" features all of the third generation, including Rushia (who briefly appears putting a sheet on a sleepy Marine). It's clear all of Fantasy miss their dear friend. The entire UMISEA gang (meaning Aqua, Gura, and Ina, as Chloe was not yet considered a member of UMISEA when the music video came out) was included too. Aside from Aqua who is on board as the First Maid, due to the focus on the fanservice moment at the beach, viewers might miss Gura and Ina'nis in the backgroud the first time around.
  • During an April 26, 2022 stream of Jump King, Fauna talks about a dream she had involving her, Gura and Mumei. She doesn't remember why they were sad, but Mumei takes out a $5 bill and offers to give it to Gura if she smiles. Gura does so, then offers to pay Mumei the same bill to smile. Mumei looks at Fauna and offers her the same bill. The three pass the same bill smiling and laughing at each other.
  • When Calliope Mori announced a karaoke collaboration with her mother, she put out the call for fans to submit drawings of "Mama Mori" so she could pick one to use as her avatar during the stream. The day before the actual event, Calli tweeted that her mother had been overwhelmed by the influx of art, and moved to tears that she had to pick one at the expense of so many other talented proposals. They eventually decided that Mama Mori would use a new avatar from the shortlist every time she appeared so she didn't have to settle on just one.
  • During a Minecraft session, Gura heads to the JP server for the purpose of mending her gear at TTT. Someone sent an akasupa thanking her for all the entertainment, which lead her to mention the topic of being a membershrimp. She was then completely flooded by hundreds of green membership chats showing their support. She couldn't even see regular chat anymore, but absolutely felt the love.
  • During one of her talk streams, Kaela reads a comment about asking her advice about having a bad year, and she tells them to stay strong. The same commenter mentions having one, and she tells them they're strong enough, and hope things get better for another six months.
  • During one of her streams, Kanata received a message from a deaf fan who thanked her for her movements, which comforted the fan. Kanata immediately worked to figure out how to show her appreciation to her fan and commented on her own hearing problems as a Commonality Connection.
Kanata: It makes me the happiest that I'm entertaining so many people, without discrimination.
  • During Myth's first full off-collab karaoke, there were tears of joy that they were FINALLY able to sing their group song, "Journey Like a Thousand Years", together.
  • A minor example, but the following tweet from Dezmond, a day after his Twitter debut:
Dezmond: Me when I admit to making Sonic OCs, drawing gijinkas of bionicles, and being an avid reader of a gateway furry young adult novel about talking cats but Twitter actually accepts me... OK! [gif of Homelander smiling nervously]
  • While promoting her new album Sinderella, Mori had an interview with Takuya of the Oral Cigarettes. In addition to discussing her album though, she referred him to Ollie's cover of Kyouran Hey Kids!!, the latter's reaction to which was heartwarming with regard to their mutual respect and admiration.
  • While it's sad that this will be the last time all the Council members will be together on stream, the debut of their new Smol forms is the perfect way for them to get together and spend time with Sana.
    • Unlike the Walfie-based designs of Myth's Smol forms, Council's updated Smol forms, officially called BeegSmol, were designed by Sana herself. Throughout the stream, the other Council members comment that even though Sana will be graduating, their BeegSmol avatars are proof that Sana will always remain with them and all they have to do is look at their avatars to remind themselves of her.
    • Council singing "Secret Base". The most precious moment is Sana taking off her limiter to become "Beeg" as she sings final lyrics with the other Council members hugging her.
    • Council coming together for a group photo with Sana still in her "Beeg" form.
  • During his debut stream, Vesper relayed a story from his time before joining Hololive about how he was given the job of assembling new electronics equipment, and spent days peeling the plastic film off of them. He rolled up the plastic into the size of a volleyball and kept it for six years, and it eventually began to melt and had degraded to the size of a softball by the time he finally threw it away. Vesper admitted that he didn't love work very much, but the plastic ball was a reminder of the time he had fun at work, and that if something fun at work happened once, it'll happen again. He then burst into joyous laughter, absolutely ecstatic that he was now a part of Holostars, and was having tons of fun at work again.
  • The Tempus boys tweeting congratulations and encouragement to the latest Nijisanji wave ILUNA who debuted one day after they did, despite being from rival companies and a rather loud Fandom Rivalry, the talents had nothing but praise and adulations for each other.
    • Special mention for Dez and Axel who praised Scarle for doing a great job despite getting hit hard with the EN curse and having a bad wifi connection.
  • Towards the end of his first monetization stream, Altare becomes emotional with the overwhelming support that he and the boys have had for the past two weeks. Given the criticism and negativity that they endured prior to their debut, the Tempus boys manage to push those doubts out of the window, and Altare thanks all the fans for being there for them.
  • With the release of Stray the girls have been squeeing over the cat's antics.
  • Tempus's first collab with some of their senpai from the Japanese branch consists of the Japanese members taking Tempus on a tour of their Minecraft server. Despite the language barrier, the Japanese members are very welcoming to their English Kouhai.
  • When Dezmond plays The Mortuary Assistant, he admits he's not good with horror games and is frozen in fear at the mere suggestion of it. Vesper, who was watching the stream, offers to hop in via voice chat so he could give Dez emotional support while playing the game. With Vesper and the chat's support, Dezmond manages to make it to the good ending of the game, and admits that, without the support, he would've just switched to Subnautica instead.
  • Toward the end of Risu's 3D Showcase, she gives a heartmessage to all of her supporters and promising the beginning of a new journey.
Risu: All the stories, moments, and memories we shared are what's precious to me.
  • Council logged into Minecraft together to finally check out Sana's tower. Most of the girls had never even seen Sana's house before and were absolutely amazed at everything that was inside. As they climbed the tower and reached the top, they found a book where Sana gave personal thanks to the individual members of Myth and Council, as well as some of the JP and ID girls who helped her in Minecraft and others. Moona is officially the tower's godmother for contributing most of the materials to build it. Directly above the book was a chest that was filled with Sana's equipment and surrounded by bread. It then gets even more heartwarming (and a little funny) when Kronii realizes where the equipment came from: it was a set that Kronii herself had made for Sana as a gift. When Sana had showed up without it not long after receiving it, Kronii had assumed she'd died and lost it, but Sana had insisted that since the gear was "one of her most prized possessions," she'd simply stored it away for safekeeping. Kronii thought she was lying out of embarrassment at having lost it... but it turned out Sana wasn't lying after all.
  • Ina's reaction to her Wooper Chocobi evolving. Not only does she gush over how cute it is, she smiles so hard she complains her cheeks hurt from smiling so much.
  • During the 2022-11-08 off-collab in which Magni and Vesper essentially do a round of Hot Ones, Magni goes up to the ninth wing, which still beats Vesper's challenge. In recognition, Vesper eats the tenth wing draped in "The Last Dab: Apollo" (the spiciest one at well over 2 million Scoville units) as promised, but goes further by adding another wing painted with the ninth sauce. Painful reactions from both TEMPUS members notwithstanding, it truly showcases the bonding between Magni and Vesper.
  • Calli and Magni did a watch-a-long on "Holostars 2nd Act" concert since both were asleep when it was first showing, particularly in Magni's case who was sick at that time. Both of them really enjoy the concert, particularly Magni's case who loved Roberu's and Miyabi's performances. After the concert ended, Magni feels doubtful because he knows he and the rest of the Tempus boys are also going to perform onstage in the future and is afraid that he might screw up because of so many expectations that his fans, the Magnation, put up for him. Calli reassures him that Magnation is going to be there for him no matter what and tells him not to let high expectations get over his head.
Calli: Here's something that one of my senpai told me a long time ago back when I was just in the underground: So, essentially, when you're doing a show, people...There are very few people that are there to see you be perfect and sing perfectly and dance perfectly. For the most part, most people—-most average watchers are there for you. They don't care if it's ass. They just want to see you do your best and sing your heart out and be you. They're there for you.
  • In Vesper's first stream after his sudden two-week suspension, he gives a heartfelt admission that despite his calm and collected persona, he has always struggled with temper issues and that those have led to said suspension. Despite having taken those two weeks off to go camping with his family, he admits that the thing he kept thinking about the most were the Vesties and how they ended up suffering the most due to his imposed silence, noting that while in his previous job his temper issues would only hurt him, now he's the head of an entire community with the associated responsibilities. Vesper then gives a proper apology to his entire community and vows he will work harder than ever to keep his temper under control because of them.
  • At the beginning of Ina's second Call of Cthulhu stream, she expresses how grateful she is to hear that she's inspired many of her fans to take up or get into drawing as a result of her streams, to the point of tearing up in happiness as she reveals that this was a big part of why she wanted to become a VTuber in the first place.
  • During Flayon's debut, he reveals that he drew fanarts of his "mama" (artist) and "papa" (rigger). What's cuter and more heartwarming is when he expresses how excited he is to show them his work just like a kid showing his drawings to his parents.
  • During Kiara's 2023 Valentines Day stream, she wishes her viewers a happy Valentine's Day, and assures her viewers that if they feel that no one loves them, that definitely isn't true, and that even if they still feel that they have no one to love them, then she will.
  • Calli's 3D debut ended with the traditional concert section as customary with these shows, but instead of performing any of her solo tracks to finish things off, she brought in surprise guest BOOGEY VOXX to perform the songs they had worked on together. Considering BOOGEY VOXX's announcement at the beginning of February 2023 that they would disband their group, Calli essentially gave them her own stage for their final live performance as a dedication to all their hard work and support of Calli herself, since she also mentioned that the duo had been supportive of her before she even joined hololive and were some of her oldest friends since the beginning of her music career.
  • During Marine's playthrough of Outlast she immediately recognizes that the patients, even the ones who try to hurt her, aren't the real villains. During the wheelchair jumpscare she actually pays attention to what the attacker is saying, apologizes to him for what he's been put through, and outright calls him a victim afterwards. Compared to the vast majority of players, who generally fall into an assumption of Insane Equals Violent and treat the patients with fear or hostility, it's touching to see her express empathy and understanding towards them from the get-go.
Marine: (as the wheelchair attacker is curled up sobbing on the floor) I understand. Don't worry, I'm on your side, I'm your ally. It's alright... you're a victim, I'll be your ally.
  • During the 2023 Hololive Super Expo, one of the fans who were interviewed was a Mukiroze cosplayer who shared that he used to, quote, "be in a very bad situation and have a lot of problems" until he discovered Hololive and it gave him "a point to live [for]" (Context available in a tweet made by the cosplayer. The cosplayer had been a fan of Hololive since 2020, but did not discover Aki until mid-2021, while in rehab and recovery following a stroke a few months prior), and took the opportunity to thank and profess his love for both Hololive as a whole, as well as Aki specifically. When Aki later saw a clip of the cosplayer, she became so moved that she started crying Tears of Joy on stream and said that knowing that she can make people happier like that makes her want to be stronger for them so that they can be proud to say that they're her fans.
  • Team Snake Bite (composed of Axel, Altare, and Selen of Nijisanji EN) is the first English team to participate in the Apex Vsaikyo tournament which is one of Axel's and Selen's goals. This is all thanks to Astel recommending Shibuya Hal to let Axel join, Axel's efforts of negotiating with Shibuya Hal to let Selen join his team and Altare volunteering to complete the team despite not being much of an APEX player. Despite not being able to reach the Top 10 in the rankings, the newly formed bonds that they made for one month are worth it. Altare even acts as the emotional support for the team after they floundered in the last two games.
  • Calli's return to Minecraft with Kobo is chock full of heartwarming moments, as many fans were happy she was playing the game again.
    • Ame let Calli borrow her account as hers wasn't available.
    • As she re-enters Minecraft, Calli runs into IRyS, who was streaming at the time. After helping her enter the new server, the duo lets IRyS join their session with no problems.
    • Kobo experienced a stroke of misfortune when she lost all her loot, and the dog she recently tamed drowned. Calli and IRyS empathized with her and offered to assist her by gathering bones to tame a new dog.
    • Calli had to abruptly end her stream due to her internet being cut out. In a video apology, she expressed her enjoyment of playing Minecraft with Kobo and IRyS and hopes to do so again soon. Everyone was understanding about the situation and reassured Calli that there was no need to apologize as the internet malfunction was out of her control.
  • Axel and Astel were among the VSaikyo participants on the VCR Rust server who helped plan a surprise birthday party for Neo-PORTE's Niu Yozuna, with the latter's involvement being particularly important because of Astel's Odd Couple dynamic with Niu they had built up during and after the season. Against all odds given the group's usual antics and what had previously happened on the server, there isn't a single hint of irony in their appreciation. Niu herself, to say the least, was overjoyed.
  • Astel's relationship with Niu leading up to her birthday is just as heartwarming. Despite only knowing each other for a month total by then, the moment Astel had learned of Niu's own post-debut struggles and how similar they were to his own, he immediately got to work on building a friendship for her sake so that Niu would not have to endure the same degree of difficulty that he had. And when Astel learned that Niu had not been invited to the VCR server, he took the same amount of initiative to secure a proper invite for her, so that they could continue playing together as friends. By all accounts, it's gone as well as you could hope for a friendship, and the two would later discuss how much their meeting has meant to each other.
Astel: My first impression of you was that you struggled to communicate.
    Niu: Huh? You could tell?
    [...]
Astel: Whenever you were with someone, you did your best so they wouldn't be bored... but I also couldn't help but feel you'd have a hard time moving forward. So I couldn't just leave you alone like that, and I thought to myself, "I want to be your friend." [...] And as for you, I think you're a real hard worker. I think this is something only streamers and content creators would understand, but there are things I myself would consider too much trouble to bother with, and you still do them anyways — and I admire you for that. [...] Like, it's only been a year, but I do think you're very talented, and I love your voice. So, I hope you'll continue to stream for a long, long time.
    Niu: I will.
    Astel: You will?
Niu: Yeah - I mean, of course! Thanks to you, I have lots of new friends now, and so many more people I can talk to. I'm having so much more fun now, and it's motivating me to keep putting in my effort.
Astel: I hope it can stay that way forever.
  • After releasing his first cover which is "Shinigami" by Kenishi Yozeru, Vesper admitted he didn't listen to his cover before the premiere because he's anxious, thinking it might not be good. Though he's happy that people like it because the song is for the Vesties. When he was preparing his cover, he asked Axel and Bae for advice on how to choose a song to cover. While he doesn't care what song he likes, he wants a song that is easy to sing. He was given 6 songs and he chose "Shinigami" which is the hardest song on the list. But he chose it because he liked it and he was encouraged to sing the song that he likes.
  • During Magni's chatting stream after the debut of his first original song, he admits that he's always praised for his art but he wants to praise others who are great artists and he's fortunate to be surrounded by talented people in Hololive which helped him strive better. He mentions that the one person he talked to was Sana who was about to graduate at that time and despite the short period of time meeting her, Sana was able to give Magni some very good advice which helped him a lot in his musical journey.
  • In Magni's 1.5 model debut, he thanks his "mama" Showichi Furumi, his "papa" jujube, his manager, and another person which he didn't mention onstream (though he reveals in his unarchived karaoke that it's the Tempus HQ boys) for making this happen. Considering the backlash he received pre-debut regarding his first model, Magni feels happy with the new changes. And during the unarchived karaoke, Bettel made a surprise visit and as one of the first people who saw the 1.5 model, Bettel tells Magni that he looks beautiful and gorgeous.
  • Pako, Sana's artist, has been very supportive of the talents in all branches, particularly the EN branch, and has drawn many fanarts of them. Even though Sana has already graduated, he still watches a lot of Hololive and Holostar streams and even comments on their chat boxes despite his limited English vocabulary. Then on the last week of June 2023, it's revealed that Pako would be the new mama for Vesper's 2.0 update.
  • During Vesper's 2.0 model debut, he thanked his first mama, Komiya Kunihara, and wished them good lucknote , saying that if there's an enemy that needs slaying, he'll come over because he has enough weapons. He also thanked both the Tempus HQ and Vanguard boys for supporting him most especially when he had his mental breakdowns in the past. Towards the end, he thanked his new mama, Pako, as he promised that he'll do good and not be unhinged.
  • Heartwarming might as well have been the motto of Team Ka-Zoo-Noko, a team formed for 2023's Street Fighter 6 Crazy Raccoon Cupnote  that Korone ended up on. Most everyone involved was worried that things would turn out awkward, only for the team to immediately hit it off and become fast friends. It really came to a head after the tourney ended; Korone herself was frustrated to the point of tears (the team having finished last and herself having completely choked during her tourney matches despite excellent results in training and scrims) only to find out that the others kept trying to contact her to have an after-party. They were still gaming early in the morning, messing around in SF6's quirkier modes and laughing all the way. Even the team leader, Kazunoko himself, admitted this might have been one of the most fun teams he's ever been on.
  • During a Minecraft stream, a misunderstanding led Watame getting invited into a collab between Kaela and Kiara. Despite her apprehension at having to translate for both (Kaela doesn't speak Japanese and Watame's English is far from conversational) Kiara powers through, leading to Kaela admitting that Watame is one of her oshis and that she was very thankful to Kiara for letting the unexpected collab happen.
  • The official recognition of Holotori (Subaru, Kiara, Reine, Mumei, Lui) as an idol subunit.
    • Holotori began as a pun for Subaru and Kiara's first collab. As more bird-themed members debuted, the group expanded and began to more seriously act as a group. Kiara in particular pushed hard to get recognition for the group, with their first major activity being a five-member Gartic Phone collab.
    • Holotori was officially recognised in 2023. They had their first group 3D performance at Lui's 2023 birthday celebration (at the time, it wasn't yet public that Holotori was official). Later Hololive announced Holotori as an official subunit for the 2023 Hololive Summer event.
    • Holotori is heartwarming as a culmination of the group's efforts, and especially Kiara. Kiara discussed that in one of her past jobs, she had been denied the Center position because she would "stand out" too much (almost certainly because she was Caucasian in a Japanese idol group). For Holotori, Kiara finally got to be the Center for an idol group she worked hard to form (even for their first performance at Lui's birthday, in a gracious gesture by Lui).
  • Nerissa and Kiara bonding over the latter being the former's oshi. During Advent's first cross-generation collab as guests in Kiara's Holotalk, it was constantly mentioned that both had been talking a lot off stream. This is especially heartwarming for Kiara as she had jokingly mentioned offhand a few weeks prior, after feeling like a third wheel during Gura and Okayu's IRL date, that she wished there was someone in Hololive who liked her as much as she likes Pekora. After Nerissa debut Kiara can't help but to gush over her new intern. Bonus points to JEnMa who was aware of Nerissa's admiration of Kiara but kept it to herself only hinting to Kiara that one of the Advent girls liked her.
  • Pekora gives out advice to fellow Holomems for a few diamonds in Minecraft. Her advice is shown to be genuinely sweet and heartwarming, helping Okayu on how to banter with her chat more, wanting to collab with Mio some more outside of fortune telling, giving Lui a more Affectionate Nickname, and helping Koyori on how to make friends, even if she does troll her a bit by charging more diamonds and nearly drowning her. Her advice to Nene on the other hand, is downright heartmelting, giving her advice on how to initiate conversations within a group. Pekora relates to Nene at how she used to feel the same way in the past, and encourages her to act out a little bit if she really wants to say something. Pekora then invites Nene to talk when they meet at the recording studio, and even gives her 80 diamonds as a gift! Nene is so touched and admits that she feels very warm and happy talking with the rabbit. Who knew our favorite war criminal rabbit could be so darn wholesome?
  • The 3D CouncilRys Stream on October 8th, 2023, which culminated in the announcement that Project -Hope- and -Council- would combine into one new unit called -Promise-. After years of IRyS being an Honorary True Companion and borderline Sixth Ranger of Council it's wonderful to know that she is now officially recognized as part of the same group with her girls. As the cherry on top, the official logo for -Promise- features six stars instead of five, indicating that, even though she's no longer with them, the rest of Council still dearly regard Sana as one of their own. Plus, the sixth star on top is quite BEEG, further emphasizing that Sana is eternal and is always in our hearts.
  • Nerissa gets a visit from her baby nephew and immediately starts cooing over him.
  • Mumei — after reaching the end of nameless, a fan-game based on her single/music video "mumei" — found herself so overwhelmed with emotion by the game's loving and reverent themes that, feeling that she was on the edge of tears, instead chose to mute her mic and type out her feelings for the viewers to read. To sum it up, it's a rumination of her own past with loneliness and past struggles to connect with others, and thanking her viewers for not only making the world feel less lonely, but to further inspire others to bring each other closer together for the happiness that they deserve.
  • Though Vesper may have graduated at the time of ARMIS' debuts, Hakka decided to honor his tradition and continue interviewing the ARMIS boys much like how he was interviewed by Vesper. And sure enough, he even has Vesper's teacups on the table between him and his interviewees.
  • In Bettel's Year in Review, he put up a segment to commemorate all the people who they lost in 2023. While there are some funny bits such as playing "Amazing Grace" with a kazoo and remembering the loss of the bees residing in Bettel's house in Minecraft, Shinri's seiso card and Mortimer Goth from The Sims 4, Magni and Vesper are also added in the segment. Even Mysta (though he's named Mister Ryan) of Nijisanji EN, who also graduated in the same month as Magni and Vesper, is in the segment given the friendship he had with Bettel.
    • Heff Jardy, the one responsible for the "August 19th" gag, also makes an appearance via superchats during Year in Review, where they reveal that that date was actually their birthday, making the fact that Bettel did a special stream (plus released a cover and a commemorative T-shirt) for that particular day Heartwarming in Hindsight. Upon this revelation, all the Tempus boys present sing them a belated "Happy Birthday" song.
  • The end of 2023 was capped by the Holo Shuffle Medley, where multiple talents switch outfits with each other and cover the others' songs. The last few singers of the medley were Okayu and Korone wearing each others' outfits, and as it transitions to the final song, Okayu skates in and silently exchanges wedding rings with Korone, to everyone's (except Aqua's) pleasant surprise. The capstone being Risu watching her "parents" get married in the cloud cover.
  • The second VCR Grand Theft Auto Online server ended with Aruran's pizzeria as the main highlight — not for any criminal aspect, but for the bonds between him and his employees, with him managing to unite a whole slew of companies, branches, and indies under one banner. While it initially started as Ao, Ririka, and NeoPorte's Konkon Aria stumbling upon the place by chance, it grew to accommodate many more participants (notably including Reimu Endou and Meloco Kyoran, as well as indie URS-No.1005/"Tooko-chan"), and by the end they had spread enough of their influence to purchase a large house in-game that could fit everyone. Nearly everyone who joined Aruran would later admit that they would have been completely lost in the server with no one to talk to, until he showed up and lent a hand. Highlights include:
    • Aruran had noticed Tooko was spending most of her time in a color-matching Crewmate costume, so he gathered Ao, Aria, and Meloco to surprise her by doing the same — much to her delight.
    • After the server's conclusion, Ao called into Aruran's zatsudan to give her thanks, but had to put on her Doraemon voice.note
  • Shinri's Minecraft stream on January 7, 2024 has him go out of the way to help his ARMIS kouhais with a Nether portal issue, as Octavio somehow made a connection to the Nether's roof when he made it, plus it was a one-way portal. Some troubleshooting and a hard reset later, Shinri got a new, proper portal to spawn in the Nether.
  • Raden is proof that admiration for your oshi can be a tremendous motivation to change one's life. Although originally debuting as a chainsmoker, Raden gradually weaned off of cigarettes after learning of Aki Rosenthal's disliking for this habit, with her proudly proclaiming her achievements to her idol in their January 2024 Gartic Phone collab, and receiving much applause from both her seniors and audiences for her effort.
  • Moona's 5th Original Song, Taut Hati really puts the entirety of Holo ID's relationship into perspective for newcomers to the brand as well as oldheads, being a light-hearted ode to how much Moona loves and appreciates her genmates as the first ID branch of the franchise. To be stylized as the OP of a Slice-of-Life anime only adds to the charm.
  • In January 2024, Altare and Axel finally meet each other in person for the first time in Japan is such a carathic and heartwarming moment given that Axel has not personally met any of his genmates for a year with his potential meeting with Vesper in Japan from the previous year a missed opportunity due to unforeseen circumstances. As Altare recounts in his first chatting stream in Japan, Axel rushed into the airport and gave him a big hug, which made him very emotional. Given the events last year when they lost two of their genmates, it was a huge win for Tempus HQ and their fans.
  • During the 2023 Summer Party pre-concert event, Hakos Baelz (after nearly losing all hope of winning any of the prizes) not only ended up being the second-to-last contestant drawn, she won the Grand Prize (English subs here), a million-yen allowance for new content. Rather than use it all on equipment upgrades, a new costume, etc., instead Bae organized a cover of Gero's "Mind Craft" involving everyone in HoloEN. The result has the ladies of Myth, Promise and Advent singing as an ensemble as well as in surprising pairings, letting them show off their talent and range. The whole thing feels like Bae giving her English branchmates a big group hug.
    Hakos Baelz: holoEN forever ❤️
  • In preparation for Holo Expo 2024, all of the Holostars EN boys went to Japan where they all got to meet each other personally including the Holostars JP. All of them shared on their streams about their first impressions on each other. Despite that the last two EN gens don't have their 3D yet, it's a rare opportunity for all the Stars EN and Stars JP boys to gather in one place and hang out all together.
    • Jurard recalls that after a group company dinner, the boys and their managers stopped by a bridge overlooking the river and had their individual introspective moment. In Jurard's case, he asked Altare for advice on his journey in Holostars and Altare replied that they just had to keep moving forward. In Altare's stream, he hopes that his advice to Jurard would help him on what he wants to do in Holostars.
    • Axel mentions that despite debuting 4 months ago,the Armis boys are able to meet their senpais personally which he believes closes the gap between them and Tempus HQ because he admits that he and Altare never really talked to the Armis boys since debut. Considering that he never got to do an off-collab with any of the EN boys for 2 years, he's very happy that Holo Expo gave him the chance to meet all 9 members.
    • On his post-Expo stream, Jurard reveals that he had bladder stones but he manages to weather the pain, thanks to the help of his manager, Shika-mane. He also reveals that some of the boys such as Octavio and Hakka showed concern for his health while Axel and Bettel cheer him up when he's feeling down.
  • During Kiara's playthrough of "Spinfrog" during Kiara's annual"Frog Week" the game's developer directly messaged Kiara (at the 49 minute mark)to inform her of a subtle message in the game's in-store. It turns out he is a Hololive Fan and there are references to Hololive's members, including one specifically named "Phoenix". He then reveals to Kiara that the way the colours are arranged in the shop "means something". It turns out Kiara is the game developer's "Oshi" ever since her first appearance in 2020 and Kiara inspired him to better himself and pursue his own dreams. Furthermore, he specifically made the game knowing Kiara would one day play it during "Frog Week" and wouldn't give perms to anyone else before Kiara asked for it first. Kiara was so touched during this reveal that she cried Tears of Joy, knowing that she inspired a person's life in such a way.
