We Provide Examples of:
- Affably Evil: despite his desire to take over the world and control humanity to keep absolute order, Ignacio is overall a very pleasant guy
- Ambiguously Bi: Thomas, though ambiguous is giving him too much credit.
- Victoria too, she once kissed a girl when she accidentally got drunk.
- Author Avatar: Armando is this, though with some glaring differences and generally more unlikable (also some people have noted how he looks like the author, though the appearance is an unfortunate coincidence) (also the main reason why he's being more Out of Focus)
- Anyone Can Die: The horror spin-off.
- Art Evolution
- Artistic License – Physics: Lampshaded to no end.
- Big Bad: Veronica is this when she get's dangerous
- Black Comedy / Surreal Humor
- Blessed with Suck / Bad Powers, Good People: Marco wants to be a straight hero, too bad his powers involve controlling darkness and Mind Rape.
- Butch Lesbian: Downplayed with Mariela
- Cerebus Rollercoaster
- City with No Name
- Cloud Cuckoo Land: Downplayed.
- Chick Magnet: Ryan, to his dismay.
- Continuity Snarl / Negative Continuity
- Mariela's character as a full is a big snarl, NO ONE is sure if she's from a future timeline, an alternate universe, or just plain lying and delusional.
- Covert Pervert: Ryan, contrasting his best friend Thomas' Handsome Lech / Chivalrous Pervert attitude
- Don't Fear the Reaper: Ryan is a very decent person despite he's being trained in reaping souls from people, though it's unknown if this will last
- Dysfunction Junction: Downplayed, almost everyone have issues, but they can pretty much deal with them in a healthy way...except for Veronica and Mariela.
- Even the Girls Want Her: Veronica and Jolene.
- Fallen Hero: Ignacio was a straight hero in the original project, but he losed fate thanks to the cynical and overall pessimistic ways of his twin Armando, and now he seeks to "fix" the world...by taking over it
- Four-Philosophy Ensemble:
- Armando is the Cynic.
- Ricardo is the Optimistic.
- Victoria is the Realist.
- Ryan is the Conflicted.
- Four-Temperament Ensemble:
- Ricardo, Ignacio, Veronica and Jolene are Sanguine.
- Victoria, Mariela, and Emilio are Choleric.
- Armando, Martina and Elena are Melancholic
- Ryan, Fluff, Caesar and Thomas are Phlegmatic.
- Gainax Ending: The ending of the horror spin-off was weird to say at least subverted as it was later revealed it was a story that Rick wrote.
- Gag Series
- Gadgeteer Genius / Teen Genius: Martina made Fluff body and is very interested in electronics.
- Good Counterpart: Jolene is this to Veronica, minus the angel and powers part, though it's downplayed.
- Thomas is this to Ignacio in overall personality, since they're both laid-back and tranquil most of the time
- Ham-to-Ham Combat: Every time Ryan and Emile show up at the same time.
- Hard-Drinking Party Girl: Jolene
- Heterosexual Life-Partners: Ryan and Thomas, despite Ryan's not straight and Thomas is very ambiguous they are very close friends, despite they only see each other in a platonic way.
- Ho Yay: Thomas is the main offender, with him having and ambiguous interest in Rick, and let's not even begin with his backstory
- Irony: Armando fears lightning.
- Little Bit Beastly: Via the power of science.
- Informed Ability: Everyone that have superpowers haven't show them yet.
- Mind Screw: Some strips just don't make any sense even in context
- Morality Kitchen Sink: Half of the heroes and secondary characters are in the grey area, the other half of them are in the white area, and the villains are composed of Anti-Villain and Complete Monster
- Mundane Made Awesome: Emile's M.O.
- Mr. Fanservice: Thomas.
- Ms. Fanservice: Veronica.
- Fan Disservice: Some of the scenes appear at REALLY unsettling times.
- Played straighter with Jolene.
- Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: Veronica has some serious Stupid Evil moments.
- Nominal Hero: 3 of the 4 main characters' motives to save the world must be heard to be believed: Armando's boredom (his internet connection is down), Ricardo's annoyance (he thinks the villain isn't a good enough one [though he doesn't plan to overthrow him at all since being a villain doesn't really suits him]), and Victoria's reward (Victoria plans to loot the treasure from the villain after defeating him/her), Ryan [and Rick in any other occasion]] is the Token Good Teammate of the group, but even then he still wants part of Victoria's loot.
- No Fourth Wall
- Petite Pride: You won't hurt Victoria with a comment about her bust, since she's very proud of it.
- Obfuscating Stupidity: Despite acting most of the time as a perverted imbecile, Thomas is fairly intelligent.
- Oh, Crap!: Ricardo before Armando blowed up a truck while Armando was doing an Evil Laugh (said explosion was claimed to be done For Science!).
- Only Sane Man: Armando, Ryan and Jolene are very much this, but even then, Armando is kind of pyromaniac, Ryan likes to play mental games with others and Jolene is a party animal.
- Running Gag: Fluff's powers backfiring.
- Sanity Slippage: Ricardo is suspected to suffer from this, since he can be full on creepy sometimes.
- Ryan didn't endured very well the reaper job, though this now it's fully set in Alternate Continuity
- Schedule Slip: BIG.TIME. Expect at least 3 months of waiting between every strip.
- Science Fiction with a slash of Urban Fantasy.
- Slice of Life
- Spotlight-Stealing Squad / Out of Focus: Ignacio was the original protagonist of the series in the project before the current one, and he tries to recover the spotlight Unsuccessfully.
- Ryan is a more serious example, practically getting the protagonist status from Armando, it is lampshaded though he has justifiable reasons to pass/avoid the spotlight, since he's genre savvy enough to know that his story will eventually develop into Protagonist Journey to Villain:
Armando: Ain't I supposed to be the protagonist around here?!?!
- Straight Gay: Ryan
- Super-Deformed: At the drop of a hat.
- Symbiotic Possession: Fluff to Ignacio. Subverted now that he has a new robotic body.
- The Heart: Rick main role is this.
- Transparent Closet: Everyone can see that Mariela is obviously crushing on Jolene, she still denies everything though
- Tsundere: Jolene toward Thomas
- Too Kinky to Torture: Mariela, and Victoria to a much lesser extent.
- Vitriolic Best Buds: Armando with Victoria, also a case of Like Brother and Sister
- Jolene and Thomas, also a case of Belligerent Sexual Tension
- Who Writes This Crap?!: Armando is very fond of this
- Yandere: Veronica to the point she once killed half of the cast because she thought Armando was dating someone who wasn't her in the horror spin-off, unfortunately for him, he's now
- Yaoi Fangirl: Victoria, also a Yuri Fan
