A trio of men that patrol Naruhata at night, stealing people's undergarments. They all have the same Quirk, "Glide and Slide", allowing them to slide across the ground.
- Creepy Crossdresser: The third brother puts on the panties the other two steal.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: Knuckle Duster takes them all down in a matter of seconds.
- Foil: To Koichi. Both have Quirks that allow them to slide, but the brother's Quirk only requires one point of contact, while Koichi's requires at least three. While Koichi uses his Quirk to help others as The Crawler, the brothers use their Quirk to fulfill their selfish goal.
- Meaningful Name: Sturm und Drang
(German for "storm and drive/urge/stress") is a literary movement that emphasizes individual subjectivity and free expression against the restraints of rationalism, which is reflected in the brothers' view of society as a cage for their wild natures. - Mythical Motifs: A subtle one, but the first brother flipping someone's skirt, followed by the second brother stealing her panties and the third brother putting them on is similar to the Kamatachi, where the first knocks the victim down, the second cuts the victim, and the third heals them.
- No Name Given: While their group is named, the individual members are not.
- Panty Thief: The first brother flips girl's skirts, the second strips off their panties, and the third puts them on. Their later appearance shows that they also steal men's boxers as well.
- Same-Sex Triplets: They're all males and dress alike.
- Shout-Out: Their "attack formation" is one to the Black Tri-Stars' Jetstream Attack in Mobile Suit Gundam.
- What Happened to the Mouse?: What became of them after being beaten up by Knuckle Duster is unknown.

- Bird People: He has the head of a Penguin.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: Ichimoku and Jube beat the hell out of him after he takes out Koichi.
- Five-Finger Discount: He's known for stealing things, and he steals Makoto's laptop in his introductory chapter.
- Heel–Face Turn: Seen in Chapter 121 with Tommy and Willie cheering on The Crawler during the fight with Number 6, implying he's done his time or been reformed.
- I Know Madden Kombat: His soccer ball doubles as a weapon. He uses it to escape Koichi.
- Little Bit Beastly: As mentioned in Bird People above, he has a penguin head, but everything below the neck is human.
- Meaningful Name: He's a penguin person named Emperor.
- We Hardly Knew Ye: He only appears in one chapter, for only a couple pages, before he's beaten and detained. Chapter 121 shows him rooting for Koichi, implying a Heel–Face Turn.

- Blessed with Suck: Probably one of the best examples. His Quirk allows him to blow himself up, and it's not something he can completely control. If his fuse comes in contact with a heat source, he and anything close to him go boom. As stated in the volume 3 extras, no wonder he became a villain!
- Despair Event Horizon: Implied to have crossed, considering he was willing to blow himself up.
- Going Postal:
Word of God suspects that he's this, guessing he was a "tunnel engineer or something" that finally snapped. - Marshmallow Hell: Midnight puts him through this to calm him down. It works.
- Rage Against the Legal System: He hates cops enough to blow them and himself up.
- Taking You with Me: He planned to blow himself and a police station full of cops and heroes.

An old yakuza group led by Rojiya Yonenaga. They were recently designated as a villainous organization by the police.
- The Alcoholic: Tetsu, being the Tony Stark parallel and all. Rojiya is one also, but it doesn't show on his face.
- Bare-Fisted Monk: Haruhisa's fighting style is this.
- Cigar Chomper: Haruhisa, who continues to smoke his cigar even when fighting.
- Corrupted Character Copy: Each member is based on a member of The Avengers.
- Tetsu operates a suit of armor visually similar to the Hulkbuster and is also The Alcoholic like Iron Man.
- Rojiya is The Leader of the group and uses manhole covers in a similar fashion to the way that Captain America uses his shield.
- Haruhisa has a strength-enhancing Quirk and also is visually similar to the Hulk.
- Souji has a lightning Quirk and uses a hammer as a weapon like Thor.
- The unnamed rookie member's Quirk, which gives him have a metal arm, alongside his design make him a dead-ringer for Bucky Barnes. The two other unnamed members that appear have designs similar to the MCU's versions of Black Widow and Hawkeye.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: Once Stendhal paralyzes them, they're killed in a single slash.
- Good Scars, Evil Scars: All of the principal members have prominent scars on their faces.
- Improbable Weapon User: Rojiya's weapon of choice is a manhole cover that he uses both as a protective shield and a Deadly Disc.
- Mini-Mecha: Tetsu summons one to fight with when Stendhal attacks.
- Red Baron: "Rojiya the Manhole", "Haruhisa the Barehanded", "Tetsu the Tank", and "Soji the Hammer".
- Shock and Awe: Souji's Quirk allows him to channel lightning through his hammer.
- Shout-Out: To Avengers, mostly MCU counterparts. They even got their iconic line, "Assemble!".

A villain who free falls for pleasure. His Quirk is "Swan", which gives him swan-wings and allows him to fly.
- Animal Motifs: His wings are that of a swan.
- Barbie Doll Anatomy: He gets completely naked, but he lacks any nipples.
- Eyes Out of Sight: His eyes are always hidden behind his hair.
- Fetish: He gets off by freefalling from great heights naked, while passersbys on the ground watch.
- Icarus Allusion: Invoked. His special move, Icarus Falling Ecstasy, involves him flying towards the sun and falling back down to the ground. He does this on purpose to get off.
- Lens Flare Censor: When falling, his little swan is completely visible to everyone in-universe, but a lens flare blocks it from the readers' view.
- Pervert Revenge Mode: After being caught and chained to a street post, the bystanders who he previously flashed begin throwing things at him.
- Shout-Out: To the main character of the series The Naked Swan (Mukidashi no Hakuchō), another series on ShonenJump+.
- Winged Humanoid: His Quirk gives him swan wings.

A minor robber that Aizawa faces on his work study. His Quirk allows him to produce a thick smoke from his body.
- Acrofatic: Despite being a heavy set and a smoker, he's able to outrun his much skinnier opponents with ease.
- Captain Ersatz: He is Majin Buu as a bank-robber.
- Good Smoking, Evil Smoking: He smokes three cigarettes at once while performing his villainy.
- Shout-Out: His Quirk and design make him a dead ringer for Majin Buu.
- Smoke Out: How he uses his Quirk.
- Starter Villain: For Aizawa, being the first real villain he faced of against.
Garvey

A giant batrachian-like villain that had a rap sheet consisting of several counts of murder and property damage. He was the first "big league" Aizawa ever faced.
- Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: A giant, tad-pole looking creature.
- Energy Absorption: His Quirk, Stock, allows him to absorb and store enemy attacks, which he then can release whenever he wants.
- Feed It with Fire: The hero team Blaster Union, who have Sensoji and Yamada in their ranks as interns, try and quickly dispose of him by blasting him with their Quirks all at once. This only succeeds in giving him enough firepower to completely incapacitate the entire team and destroy several buildings.
- Shout-Out: Might be one to Kirby. His name is spelled with extremely similar kana (his name's rendered as "Gābi," while Kirby's is "Kābi"), he has a round body shape, and he absorbs attacks by inhaling them, looking even more similar to Kirby when he does so.
- Small Role, Big Impact: He only appears in two chapters, but he's also the first villain Aizawa faced on his own. Oh, he also incidentally killed Shirakumo, which not only greatly influenced Aizawa's growth as a person and his career choices, but also led to the creation of Kurogiri.

- Honey Trap: A non-villainous example, as this is a tactic they employ as heroes. For example, in order to create space for Midnight and Pop☆Step to infiltrate a mixer, they approached the two girls that were originally going and just got them to go hang out with them instead.
- Pretty Boy: All of them are this, which they use to their advantage.

"You want to be a hero? Then trust in your own power and smile. Until that confidence... blooms out from within!"
The pro hero Aizawa and Shirakumo interned under during their second year at U.A. High. His Quirk, "Chest Hair", boosts his manly traits.
- Agent Peacock: He's campy and dandyish compared to heroes like All Might and Endeavor, but His Purple Highness' agency is still top-notch and he can easily kick an entire safe skyward.
- All There in the Manual: His Quirk was first named and described in the Volume 8 extras.
- Cleavage Window: His costume has an opening that shows off his hairy chest.
- Purple Is Powerful: He's shown to be pretty strong, and he's themed around the color purple.
- Shout-Out: He's clearly designed after the legendary Prince (who was also known as "His Purple Badness") with some elements of Michael Jackson. He also takes some poses of Giorno Giovanna, a character whose Stand is named after one of Prince's albums.
- Something about a Rose: He often has a rose on him as part of his dandy-like image.
- Stepford Smiler: He stresses the importance of smiling even when unhappy as a hero to keep the civilians calm to Aizawa.
- Super-Strength: He's powerful enough to kick a flying safe skyward with a single motion.
- Testosterone Poisoning: His Quirk simply boosts his manly traits to an absurd degree.
Hokuto Hario — Compass Kid

Quirk: Pointer
An older man who does hero work part-time. His Quirk, "Pointer", allows him to point in the direction of people, place, or things he's searching for.
- Catchphrase: "Like a spinning compass of justice! The compass kid is never lost!" is his, but it hasn't been well-received.
- Chest Insignia: A compass showing the cardinal directions.
- Gory Discretion Shot: The panel cuts away as Number 6 kills him with a lightning-fast punch. The only thing left of Compass Kid is his disembodied hand, still pointing at his own killer.
- He Knows Too Much: He's killed when his Quirk accidentally reveals that Rokuro is a villain posing as a hero.
- Heroic Build: Subverted. He's quite tubby compared to other heroes who have trained strenuously to maintain their physical fitness. This shows that Compass Kid is getting on in the years as well as his approach to hero work as a part-time job.
- Magic Compass: His Quirk makes one, allowing him to point toward anything he needs to find, such civilians that need evacuation, even he himself doesn't know their location.
- Nice Guy: He's very cheerful and enthusiastic about helping others.
- Non-Indicative Name: His hero name probably made sense when he first chose it, but now that he's a full-grown man with a wife and child, "Compass Kid" doesn't really fit him anymore,
- Part-Time Hero: He's only a hero on his offtime, much to the chagrin of his wife who wishes he would use his days off to spend more time with his kids.
- Retirony: During the manhunt for Bee☆Pop, he offhandedly mentions that he's planning to hang up his cape soon, though he wants his kids to see him action one time before he does so. And, of course, he meets his end on that very mission.
- Spectacular Spinning: In order to use his Quirk, he needs to spin in place before his "pointers" find what they're looking for.
- Utility Party Member: His Quirk doesn't offer him any real benefit in combat, but it's invaluable for finding individuals, be it people in need of rescue or villains who need to be captured.
- Villain Respect: After accidentally discovering that Rokuro is a villain in disguise, the villain prepares to kill Compass Kid for being "opportunistic scum" that doesn't care about his family. When Compass Kid reveals that his family means the world to him, Number 6 is taken aback and is actually impressed by Compass Kid's resolve. Unfortunately, Compass Kid knows his true identity, so Number 6 still kills him.
- We Hardly Knew Ye: He is killed by Number 6 only three chapters after his debut.
Team Idaten
General

A Hero agency run by Tensei Iida; the Turbo Hero "Ingenium". The agency accepts a wide array of abilities in comparison to other agencies, as Tensei values teamwork and communication more than a Quirk's perceived power.
- Acrofatic: Bigshot, the hero that looks like a wrestler, is this, being able to keep up with more fit members.
- All There in the Manual: The names of a few members are only shared in the volume extras. Namely, Onemu Shinya and Bigshot.
- Crippling Overspecialization: Discussed. Tensei notes that not all of the members of Team Idaten were trained in a hero school. In fact, their Quirks often make them suited for one thing, such as communication or rescue. This is why Tensei recruits so many people: he can divvy up tasks according to his sidekick's talents to better serve many people at once, rather than have them handle everything on their own given their lower overall skill levels.
- Weak, but Skilled: The group as a whole is this. Tensei values skill more then raw power, so the group is made up of those who may have weak Quirks but are more versatile in their skills.
Tensei Iida — Ingenium

One of Ingenium's sidekicks who is initially mistaken for a villain. Her Quirk allows her to increase her size and to create small clones of herself.
- Adaptational Ugliness: Her original concept art was to make her pretty, but then that was changed so it was obvious she was the monster in her normal form by giving her an identical face.
- Chekhov's Gunman: In her first appearance, Koichi helps her get to her interview at Ingenium's agency. She shows up 10 chapters later as Ingenium's sidekick to help deal with the monster cat.
- Creepy Good: She may look like a villain and have unsettleing eyes, but Enigma aspires to be a hero and is Ingenium's sidekick.
- Major Injury Underreaction: Downplayed. She barely reacts to being punched and later choked.
- Nightmare Face: Her eyes are completely black, making her very unsettling to look at.
- Shout-Out: Her face greatly resembles that of No-Face, and the resemblance becomes more uncanny when she's using her Quirk.
- Turn the Other Cheek: She forgives the vigilantes for attacking her rather easily, even acknowledging how she must have frightened them while using her Quirk.

The official idol for the Kanidoge Chain, who is actually an undercover investigative cop.
- Absurdly Sharp Blade: Her Quirk, "Scissors", allows her to slice apart nearly anything she can get between her pointer and middle fingers by making a scissor motion with them. It's powerful enough to easily cut through the limbs of solid steelworker exoskeletons, but it's obviously limited by the space between her fingers. For bigger cuts, she can also use her legs and cut anything between them too.
- Animal Motifs: Invoked with crabs, being that the brand she represents is crab-themed. Her name even has the Japanese word for "crab" in it.
- Early-Bird Cameo: Not her herself, but the brand she represents appeared in chapter 132 of the main manga.
- In-Series Nickname: She asks people to call her Kaniko.
- The Idiot from Osaka: She uses Osaka-type humor, being a native, that doesn't impress anyone.
- Nightmare Face: Pulls one that looks like a Heike Crab as part of her comedy schtick.
- Potty Emergency: Fakes one so she can go investigate a possible Trigger supply drop.
- Screw the Rules, I'm Doing What's Right!: While she's not supposed to use her quirk to fight villains since she's a cop rather than a licensed Hero, Kaniko does so anyway to save people's lives and nonchalantly tells Fatgum that she'll file a formal apology afterward.
- Significant Birth Date: June 22, which makes her Western Zodiac Cancer, fitting her crab motif.
- Undercover Cop Reveal: She's actually a cop working with Tsukauchi and Fatgum to track down the source of Trigger.

Two twins who form the underground idol duo, Feathers, that were called to perform at the Marukane Department Store Live Event.
- Always Identical Twins: The two are completely identical.
- Coordinated Clothes: Their idol costumes are the same in terms of style and material, with the colors being inverted between the two. All of the civilian clothing they're seen wearing is the same between the two, at least early in the story. After the Time Skip, they start wearing more individualized clothing.
- Defrosting Ice Queen: Miu thinks very little of Pop☆Step at first, but warms up to her later. The two eventually become close friends, showcased when Miu is the most worried about Pop disappearing and the angriest at Koichi for not being aware of her disappearance.
- Identical Twin ID Tag: They're differentiated by their hair. Miu's ponytail comes out to the left side of her head, while Yu's comes out to her right. Their differentiates further after the time skip, as Miu's ponytail has grown longer and now ends in a ringlet while Yu gains some glasses.
- Idol Singer: They're a twin idol duo.
- Polar Opposite Twins: Miu is judgmental and can be very rude, while Yu is shown to be much nicer in comparison. Makoto even calls Miu "the mean one".
- Theme Twin Naming: Their names rhyme with each other.
The East Naruhata High Dance Squad

A four-person, all-girl dance group called to perform at the Marukane Department Store Live Event, the president of which has a crush on the leader of the Mad Hatters.
- Black Bead Eyes: With the leader as the exception, all the members have these.
- Crush Blush: The president gets this when she's around the Mad Hatters' leader.
- Drill Sergeant Nasty: The president is this during dance practice, something the Feathers learn quickly. She's much nicer outside of practice though.
- Love at First Sight: The president and the Mad Hatters leader fall in love like this.
- No Name Given: None of them have been named.
- Official Couple: With the Mad Hatters' leader. It's largely an Offscreen Romance, though Miu notes in Chapter 67 that they've been going steady for a while.
- She Cleans Up Nicely: The president normally wears thick glasses, baggy clothing, and has somewhat messy braided ponytails, but during the Marukane Department Store Live Event she loses her glasses, sports a bob cut, and dawns a more feminine costume. This gets lampshaded by Koichi in an unintentionally rude way.
- Training from Hell: Their drills are very intense, to the point where Miu actually injures herself when she practices with them.
- Uniformity Exception: All of the members have the same body type and similar facial features, but the Leader stands out by wearing glasses, having longer hair, and not having Black Bead Eyes.

- Crush Blush: The leader gets this when she's around the East Naruhata High Dance Squad president.
- Dude Looks Like a Lady: Hiroto looks very feminine and could easily be mistaken for a girl.
- Love at First Sight: The leader and the East Naruhata High Dance Squad president fall in love like this.
- Love Confession: The leader plans to complement the East Naruhata High Dance Squad president after the Marukane Department Store performance. It's not shown if he goes through with it, but later chapters show that the two are a couple.
- Official Couple: With the East Naruhata High Dance Squad's president. It's largely an Offscreen Romance, though Miu notes in Chapter 67 that they've been going steady for a while.

- Nonstandard Character Design: They're drawn much more moe style. While they do grow older after the time skip, they retain their moe faces.
- Token Mini-Moe: They look significantly younger than any of the other Marukane performers, before the time skip at least.
- Younger Than They Look: Downplayed. They look like kinder gardeners but are in middle school. They look more their age after the time skip.

The pro hero that taught at U.A. back when Aizawa attended.
- Adults Are Useless: Thankfully averted. When Sensoji starts insulting Aizawa and his Quirk, this guy puts a stop to it as soon as he notices.
- Stern Teacher: He doesn't like when his students act up in class, but genuinely worries about Aizawa and his lack of vision.

"Hmph! Stand back, Yamada! I'm enough for these two clowns!."
A student who attended U.A. back when Aizawa did. He and Yamada did their work-study together with the hero team: Buster Union.
- Cool Shades: Wears a pair as part of his hero costume. They shield his eyes from his own bright blasts to help him aim his shots better. He later swaps them for goggles that do the job better.
- Dumbass Has a Point: After Sensoji calls Aizawa weak during a mission, Yamada argues that, while Aizawa might start off slow, when he "digs deep and finds his guts", he becomes much more reliable. Sensoji retorts, saying "Oh yeah? Then tell him to stop losing his guts," to which Yamada admits is a fair point before calling him simple-minded.
- Having a Blast: His Quirk allows him to create explosive blasts from his hands.
- Hypocrite: He gets upset when Aizawa starts wearing protective goggles as part of his hero costume to help manage his Quirk, assuming that Aizawa is copying the Cool Shades he wears as part of his costume for a similar reason. Later, he starts wearing goggles himself, declaring them to be more effective than his shades. Yamada calls him out on this.
- It's All About Me: He criticizes Aizawa's Quirk because it makes Sensoji shine less in battle. He also claims that he came up with the idea to wear shades to help use his Quirk more effectively when in reality he got the idea from Yamada.
- Jerkass: He gets on Aizawa's case for having a supposedly weak Quirk because it makes battles against him "a snoozefest" and is generally not a very pleasant person.
- More Dakka: How he uses his Quirk; firing off a bunch of blasts in order to overwhelm his opponents.
- Pet the Dog: Following Shirakumo's death, Sensoji encourages Aizawa to be proud of himself for taking down Garvey all by himself.Sensoji: Aizawa. A top-rated hero team couldn't take down that monster of a villain. But you went toe-to-toe with it and beat the odds. You did it Alone.

Sensoji: Be proud, Aizawa. If not now, then when? - Sore Loser: He challenges Aizawa to a fight during a training exercise, under the stipulation that Aizawa has to get rid of his googles if he loses. Shirakumo accepts the challenge on Aizawa's behalf, wagering his own goggles as well if Sensoji ante ups his shades. Aizawa and Shirakumo manage to best Sensoji in the fight, but Aizawa calls the wager off since two-on-one isn't fair. He goes in for a handshake, but Sensoji slaps Aizawa's hand away before smashing his own shades and grumpily stomping out of the class.
- Support Party Member: When Aizawa tries to give him advice on how to better use his Quirk in close combat, Sensoji replies that it's wasted on him since he isn't the brawling type. Instead, he plans to join up with a hero team and supply support with his Quirk.
- Suspiciously Similar Substitute: His Quirk and attitude are clear parallels to Bakugo's characterization early on in the main series.
- The Bus Came Back: Returns almost sixty chapters later with his old pal Yamada to assist in the fight against Number 6.
- Took a Level in Kindness: In the school year following Shirakumo's death, Sensoji becomes a much nicer person. His Sore Loser tendencies are still present but severely downplayed, and as no issue sparring with Aizawa or accepting his hand to pull himself up.

Jiro and Ichiro Hotta, two drug dealers that deal a normal, legal version of Trigger to help stop balding and erectile dysfunction. They don't have any license to sell the stuff but avoid arrest by working with the pro hero Eraser Head in investigating the Trigger incidents. Later, they open up "Hopper's Cafe", in which they employ various former Next-Level villains.
- Animorphism: Their Quirk allows them to transform into humanoid grasshoppers.
- Bald of Evil: Downplayed with Ichiro, since he's balding, and not really evil. Its ironically completely subverted later, where he goes completely bald after going clean.
- Bash Brothers: Actual brothers to boot!
- Diving Kick: Their signature move is doing this together, very much like Kamen Rider.
- Heel–Face Turn: They dodge being arrested for their illicit dealings by becoming Aizawa's associates, even lending him a hand in the fight with Octoid. Eventually, they quit their criminal activities and open "Hopper's Cafe", which they employ other villains who have also undergone a Heel–Face Turn.
- Reformed Criminal: They decide to give up drug dealing in favor of opening a legit cafe.
- Shout-Out: They're villainous versions of Kamen Rider 1 and 2.
- Signature Move: The Double Hotta Kick, where they dive kick at their opponent together.
- The Loins Sleep Tonight: It's implied that Jiro suffers erectile dysfunction and used Trigger to compensate.
- The Thing That Would Not Leave: Eraser Head uses their store as his impromptu hideout, which frustrates the brothers to no end. They get even more annoyed when Koichi decides to use their store as a hangout as well.
- Those Two Guys: Since their introduction, they've always been seen together.

A former Next-Level Villain that's close to the Hotta Brothers. He was kidnapped by the Villain Factory and transformed into a giant mantis monster, before being let loose and detained by the police. After being released, he laments his new form, seeing it as nothing but a hindrance to his daily life. Later, he joins up with the Hotta brothers to open up "Hopper's Cafe," where he works as a manager.
- Blessed with Suck: His new mantis form causes more issues than it solves. He can't fit into his own house, for example, so he has to live in a warehouse or tent instead.
- Face of a Thug: Despite his frightening demeanor, he's really not that bad, and actually has a lot of intelligent things to say about society and the way mutant Quirk users are treated.
- Hypocrite: Kamachi accuses Koichi of treating him like a villain just because of his mutations, yet he does the same thing to Octoid moments later, which the Hotta Bros lampshade.
- In-Series Nickname: Known as Kamayan to the Hotta Brothers.
- Slaying Mantis: Played Straight in his first appearance, where he's too much for the vigilantes to handle alone. Averted later on, as he stops taking Trigger and is thus much weaker overall.

A former Next-Level Villain with a cephalopod Quirk. His story is very similar to Kirihito's, in that, he was kidnapped and experimented on by the Villain Factory before being released to wreak havoc. He later joins up with the Kirihito and the Hotta Brothers to open up "Hopper's Cafe".
- Amazing Technicolor Population: He's noted to have jet-black skin.
- Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: Downplayed. He towers over the average person, but he's not quite as large as the average gigantification Quirk user.
- Blessed with Suck: Like Kirihito, his new form makes day-to-day life difficult.
- Combat Tentacles: Besides its arms, it has two large tentacles it keeps hidden until it needs them.
- Evil Is Bigger: He's a gleefully destructive Villain who towers over the heroic Aizawa and Koichi. Subverted later on, as he's a pretty nice guy once he gets the Trigger out of his system, though he retains his height.
- Kindhearted Cat Lover: He immediately asks Koichi if he can adopt the cat he rescued upon seeing it.
- Multi-Armed and Dangerous: He's huge, has multiple arms, and is dangerous enough to have nearly killed Aizawa. Again, this is subverted later on.
- Nice Guy: Once he's off Trigger, he's shown to actually be a decent fellow. He even apologizes to Koichi for attacking him while under the influence.
- Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: While under Trigger's influence, he wrecks the warehouse that Kirihito was living, forcing him to sleep in a tent. However, the Hotta bros were able to use the warehouse's insurance to open up a cafe that employs former Next-Level villains, like Kirihito and even Octoid himself.

A naive Pop☆Step fan who was led astray by the Villain Factory, before eventually being released. Later, he works part-time at "Hopper's Cafe".
- Abhorrent Admirer: A giant slime-covered eel isn't a very appreciated suitor, even when you're not being kidnapped by it.
- Animorphism: His Quirk allows a partial transformation into an electric eel, though it's only ever seen under the effects of Trigger. His initial dose gives him a giant eel form with stubby limbs but post-op they're huge and he's more humanoid.
- Benevolent Monsters: Became one of these after his transformation.
- Fanboy: A big one of Pop☆Step.
- Not Evil, Just Misunderstood: He's not a bad person at all, just naive. He didn't even know what Trigger would do when he took it, he was just told to use it when things weren't going his way.
- Older Than They Look: He looks like he's in middle school at most, but he's actually 19.
- Power-Upgrading Deformation: The Villain Factory's operations on him transformed him into an eel-like monster. Though, he doesn't seem to mind.
- Shock and Awe: His Quirk gives him electric-based powers.
- Throw the Dog a Bone: Aizawa opts to let him stay and listen to Pop☆Step's performance instead of taking him.
- True Companions: With Ichimoku and Jube. They bond over their shared love of Pop☆Step, and the two barely bat an eye at Teruo's new form.

A couple of middle school students who keep crossing paths with the Vigilantes. Ichimoku's Quirk, "Beams From His Eyes", lets him shoot lasers from his visor and Jube's Quirk, "Wooden Swords From His Hands", lets him draw bokken blades from his wrist.
- Ascended Extra: Downplayed, but they were originally just meant to be one-offs, but the author decided to make them Recurring Extras.
- Blade Below the Shoulder: Jube's Quirk allows him to extend what are essentially wooden katana blades from his arms.
- Expy: Of Cyclops and Wolverine, reimagined as middle-school delinquents who dress like Josuke Higashikata and Jotaro Kujo respectively. Or, "Two certain someones from X-Men, yes," as the author's notes for them put it.
- Eye Beams: Samazu has these thanks to his Quirk.
- Fanboy: Both of them are huge fans of Pop☆Step.
- Fire-Forged Friends: Downplayed. They're fighting each other in their introductory chapter, but in all subsequent appearances, they seem to be friends.
- Irony: Samazu is a junior classmate to Soga, who tormented Koichi at the start of the manga.
- Punny Name: "Samazu" is meant to read like "Summers", while "Ichimoku" literally means "one eye" or "Cyclops". Meanwhile, the kanji for "Namimaru" can also be read as "Rougan".
- Recurring Extra: The author's notes for the first collection mention that he'd originally meant them as a one-time sight gag, but they kept showing up, and the editors didn't seem to mind.
- Secret-Keeper: They both know Koichi is The Crawler, but haven't told anyone.
- Those Two Guys: Always seen together, whether they're fighting each other or just hanging out.
- True Companions: With Teruo. They bond over their shared love of Pop☆Step, and the two barely bat an eye at Teruo's new form.
- Wolverine Wannabe: Jube Namimaru is quite a blatant Wolverine knockoff, not only physically resembling him with his chops but also possessing retractable wooden blades in his forearms. Bonus points for hanging out with a Cyclops expy.
- Whole Costume Reference: They're dressed as Jotaro and Josuke.
- Younger Than They Look: In keeping with the expy references above they're in middle school, but are mistaken for high schoolers at first, and even that seems a bit of a stretch.

Koichi's strict mother. Her Quirk, "Flyswatter", allows her to slap things from a distance.
- Double Standard: Abuse, Female on Male: Played for Laughs when she uses her Quirk to give Koichi a smack when she catches him doing something she disapproves of. Swings into Played for Drama later when it's revealed that she stunted Koichi's control of his Quirk by punishing him every time she caught him using its flight applications out of paranoia that he might hurt himself.
- My Beloved Smother: Very strict with Koichi, largely stemming from the maternal worry she suffered when he was a baby. Even when he's an adult college student, she's not entirely comfortable letting him go off on his own.
- Shipper on Deck: While Koichi's attempt to pass Makoto off as his girlfriend blows up quickly, Mrs. Haimawari makes it very clear that she'd be happy to welcome Makoto into the family if the two of them actually did hit it off.

- Crush Blush: She sports one after Koichi shows concern for her.
- Hidden Depths: While she appears to be quite popular and sociable due to organizing various mixers, she knows that she really isn't and that people only come to her to organize events.
- Nice Girl: Deconstructed. She's very kind and approachable, but people abuse her kindness and now she's grown bitter.
- Unwitting Instigator of Doom: All of the mixer villain incidents could be traced back to her because she was the one who organized them. However, she's completely innocent and isn't connected to the Villain Factory at all.

Captain Celebrity's Ex-wife, a short, cantankerous woman who hails from America.
- Huge Guy, Tiny Girl: Christopher is 200 cm (6'7") tall, and she only comes up to his waist.
- Perpetual Frowner: She naturally sports a scowl on her face. Her grumpy-looking face is what drew Chris to her.Christopher: Why the long face? I've never been one to ignore someone looking so grumpy.
Pamela: No... I always look like this. - Tempting Fate: When she finds out that Chris showed a picture of her to people in Japan, she gets mad since she thinks she looks terrible in it, but says she'll forgive him if it's no more than fifty people or so. He awkwardly has to explain that it was fifty thousand.
- Tsundere: She (rightfully) considers Chris to be an idiot, but she still loves and agrees to marry him. Even after they split up due to his infidelity, she has a bit of a soft spot for Chris's sincere but goofy side.
- When She Smiles: Chris initially saw her as a "shrew to tame", but then genuinely fell for her once he saw her smile. He married her because he wanted to see her smile for the rest of his life.
