Virtusidae

    open/close all folders

    General
  • Deity of Human Origin: All members of the Virtusidae were once mortals, but they each managed to Ascend to godhood by achieving divine apotheosis related to what they would embody. This would later come with problems down the line as they ended up outliving both their mortal families, and everyone else when the "Void Aeon" event happened, which would give them immeasurable amounts of grief that would take them a long time to recover from. Fortunately, they had each other for solace when they needed it. Their Ascensions would later cause Professor Bubbling Beaker to look to them and other Ascendant deities for inspiration, wanting to unlock the secrets of divine Ascension so he could help both Ponykind and other sapient races become greater than themselves. It's noted that the entire Virtusidae reacted with shame and anger over this, as their Ascension ended up inspiring someone to perform gruesome experiments on innocent foals and teenagers.
  • Divine Parentage: Inverted. All members of the Virtusidae were born to mortal superhero parents and Ascended later in life, either thanks to Blue Suede Heartstrings or Luminiferous. This is later played straight after the Virtuous Seven came Back from the Dead as demigoddesses.
  • Fan-Created Offspring: All of the Virtuous Seven eventually got married and had children in the Codexverse. This makes many Virtusidae members Original Characters, as it never happened in the canon show. Others, however, like Prince Blaze Brave, are expies of characters from non-My Little Pony media.
  • Heroic Lineage: As their group name indicates, all members of the Virtusidae are surviving children of the "Tales/Virtuous Seven" who managed to Ascend to godhood. Some of them are also the children of Ace, Teddy, and Lancer, all three who were Power Rangers in life before passing on their positions to other successors.
  • Hypocrite: Some of the Virtusidae, like Tough Love and Radiant Rapier, demeaned Shamrock Bloom for grieving the fate of Stitching Time (who turned into Final Epoch and had to be sealed away in another dimension), believing he is wasting his time mourning a "villain". Prince Healing Song, no stranger to loss himself, chews them out for it by bluntly pointing out how they would be offended if they received the same treatment.
Prince Healing Song: I guess you wouldn't like it if I told you that your dead families weren't worth crying over, would you?
  • Immortality Begins at Twenty: Subverted. Because deities in general only get Stronger with Age, all members of the Virtusidae only gain more power and eldritch traits as they get "older". Many of them are "Greater"-ranked deities due to being born in the Second Age.
  • Jerkass Realization: Some Virtusidae who mistreated Shamrock for mourning the Fallen Stitching Time eventually came to regret it when Shamrock attempted suicide, attracting the ire of their friends inside and outside the Virtusidae. They proceeded to apologize to Shamrock after being punished for their actions and accepting what they did to him was wrong.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Those of the Virtusidae who mistreated Shamrock for grieving Stitching Time's Fall eventually realized, through verbal and/or physical means, that they were wrong to do so, especially after Shamrock attempted suicide in part because of them. They would later apologize to Shamrock for their mistreatment.
  • Outliving One's Offspring: Inverted. It is the members of the Virtusidae who would outlive not only their parents, but their relatives and siblings. All members of the "Tales/Virtuous Seven" had the opportunity to Ascend to godhood themselves, but chose to stay mortal and later died of old age. This had a profound effect on those of their families who did manage to Ascend, such as Prince Shamrock, who had to be comforted frequently by his godfather, Blue Suede Heartstrings.
  • Seers: Of the Virtusidae revealed so far, only Shamrock and Tough Love have precognitive abilities related to their domains. Shamrock embodies Prophecy, Tough Love's Growth domain allows her to see what's holding someone back and how far they've come, and Maestro's Agents domain gives him a precognitive ability that makes him figure out the best ways to help his agents progress in their careers.
  • Small Parent, Huge Child: Many Virtusidae members are ancient deities who came from the Second Age, making them huge in their true forms. By contrast, their biological/adoptive parents, the Virtuous Seven, are demigoddesses and therefore much smaller than their own children.
  • Surprise Party: The entire Virtusidae would hold a surprise birthday party for Blue Suede Heartstrings and Bossa Nova Heartstrings to show their collective appreciation for the two being there for them since the Second Age.
Blue Suede Heartstrings: You needed us here fast, somethin' wrong?
    Prince Shamrock: Just through here...
    Virtusidae: (shouting) HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
  • True Companions: With the exception of Star Cut and Alpine Butterfly (who are identical twin brothers), as well as Praline (who married Star Cut), none of them are biologically family. However, they're all close enough that they might as well be.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Professor Bubbling Beaker respected them for managing to Ascend to godhood despite their flaws and/or being faced with immeasurable odds, and looked to them for inspiration for his work. This angered the Virtusidae knowing their Ascensions inspired someone to perform gruesome experiments on Pony innocent foals and teenagers in the name of godhood.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Both on the giving and receiving ends.
    • Some Virtusidae, like Tough Love and Radiant Rapier, demeaned Shamrock for grieving Stitching Time's Fall and sealing, believing she deserved her fate and that Shamrock was wasting his time mourning her. This in part pushed Shamrock to attempt suicide; while he ultimately couldn't bring himself to do it, other Virtusidae and even deities outside the group were disgusted by Shamrock's mistreatment and called out those who participated in it and/or condoned it. True to form, the culprits behind Shamrock's attempted suicide came to regret what they did and apologized to Shamrock for mistreating him.
    • Some of the Virtusidae proceeded to estrange themselves from Radiant Rapier out of anger and disgust once they learned she's partially why Blue Suede Heartstrings snapped and nearly became a Fallen Alicorn. Being socially isolated as a consequence of refusing to own up to her mistakes out of pride and self-righteousness gave Radiant Rapier a badly-needed wake-up call, and caused her to realize how badly she was behaving. This motivated her to help free her own friends from Iniquitous' dark glory by helping the Vicearch capture every single vile, monstrous criminal that fled Malrègnar in exchange for their freedom.
  • Winged Unicorn: Many members of the Virtusidae are Alicorn gods and goddesses.

Princess Stitching Time, the Princess of Time
See her folder entry here.

Prince Shamrock Bloom, the Prince of Luck

Classification: Ascendant/Ethereal

Portfolio: Luck, Dance, Prophecy

Rank: Divine (Tier IV/Greater)

"Sometimes I wonder if the world really has it out for me, or if I was just born completely unlucky. Thankfully, I have wonderful people to show me that is not the case."

Prince Shamrock Bloom (his entry here) is the Alicorn god of Luck, Dance, and Prophecy, and a member of the Coltic Pantheon.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: He's an Alicorn god who embodies Luck, Dance, and Prophecy.
  • Cowardly Lion: Is scared senseless of danger and don't see himself as a hero, but somehow still unable to help but rush into danger, utterly terrified, to protect and save people. Even lampshades this in his dialogue as he rushes into danger.
Prince Shamrock: (rushing into a burning building to save Ponies) Why am I doing this?! Why am I doing this?! Why can't I just stay home like a sane pony?!
  • Dark and Troubled Past: He got his face scarred for life by Overmare while trying to stop her, outlived his parents and all his mortal siblings, suffered through the numerous terrible things the Void Aeon came with, saw the End of the World as We Know It, and had one of his few remaining friends from his colthood corrupt themselves into a supervillain and be sealed away, all while dealing with seeing himself as a coward. He was also belittled by fellow Virtusidae who told him that he's 'wasting his time' mourning Stitching Time's Fall/sealing, which contributed to his attempted suicide. Thankfully, he eventually recovered, but he's had it rough for awhile.
  • Despair Event Horizon: The catastrophic end of the Second Age, the loss of his loved ones from old age, other cataclysmic events such as the first emergence of Final Epoch, being told by fellow Virtusidae like Tough Love and Radiant Rapier that he's wasting his time mourning Stitching Time's Fall/sealing, and his own self-loathing towards his perceived cowardice nearly drove Shamrock to the brink of suicide. Thankfully, he was pulled back from it by his godfather, Blue Suede Heartstrings, who manages to talk him down.
  • Fainting: He admitted he flat-out fainted when he realized he managed to succeed in Ascending to godhood thanks to tutoring from Blue Suede Heartstrings and Prince Brightglow, despite personally believing that he would never be able to do it.
  • Magic Hair: His entry describes his mane and tail as being made of Luck energy post-Ascension.
  • The Magnificent: Known as "the Prince of Luck", due to being an Alicorn god of Luck.
  • Meaningful Name: His name is derived from the Irish term seamróg, which means "young/little clover". This refers to him being a surviving son of Clover Bloom, a superheroine and member of the "Tales/Virtuous Seven" group in the Second Age, though he does manage to become even greater than his mother by Ascending to godhood.
  • Seers: As the Alicorn god of Prophecy, he has inherited Clover's precognitive abilities, except unlike his mother, whose foresight depends on her own humility, he has prophetic, symbolic dreams that can predict the future in general. His entry notes that he can grant people these dreams if he desires.
  • Sensitive Guy and Manly Man: He and Crystal Clear have this dynamic, with him being the 'Sensitive Guy' to Crystal's 'Manly Man'. He is a talented ballet dancer who is emotionally sensitive overall and suffers from self-esteem issues at times. Crystal, meanwhile, is blunt, rough-tongued, outspoken, and hot-tempered, and he works as both a mechanic and sound engineer. Despite their differences, he and Crystal Clear are good friends, with Crystal coming down hard on anyone who hurts him.
  • Talking Down the Suicidal: He once talked down a despairing Blue Suede Heartstrings from committing suicide when he found his godfather just about to jump off a cliff, even though being a god meant that Blue Suede would likely not be harmed much. Hearing Shamrock forgive him for all his mistakes and flaws drove Blue Suede to tears, and they would share a hug afterwards.
Prince Shamrock Bloom: Y'know, uh... I-I remember a certain stallion telling me that... that quitting is easy, and living is harder than dying. And those words, they, uh... they saved me. During a really hard spot in my life.
Blue Suede Heartstrings: ...Ah’m sorry, Rocky. Ah failed y'all in more ways than Ah can count, both as yer godfather an' a teacher. An' not just you... Ah failed ev'ryone Ah know. Ah dunno if Ah can continue livin', knowing the things Ah did...
Prince Shamrock Bloom: We both made mistakes, Uncle Blue. I, um... I scare easily. You've seen me how I act sometimes. And you... uh, you tried saving the entire world from its mistakes by yourself. But it's not the end. All we gotta do is... pick ourselves up where we fell and, um... keep going.
Blue Suede Heartstrings: But how? Ah turned mahself into a monster, an' Ah didn't practice what Ah preached fer... what? Thousands a' years? How can Ah go on after that? How can the King forgive me fer actin' like some crazed hound dog all this time?
Prince Shamrock Bloom: Like- like you said, the King in Heaven is forgiving. If he's like... y'know, the Poenans, you would've been in Hell a long time ago. But- but you aren't. That means he's, um... willing to give you another chance. If he can forgive someone like me... then... he can forgive you, too. And I forgive you, Uncle Blue.
Blue Suede Heartstrings: Rocky... thank you...
  • Truly Single Parent: He's both asexual and aromantic, meaning that he'll never have any children naturally. However, he still desired to have a family after seeing the 'birth' of Prince Perfect Tone, the youngest son and child of his godfather, Blue Suede Heartstrings/Prince Caerulus Melodia Equestria. This leads to the Stork providing him a biological son shat she created, whom he names Baby Shamrock after himself. His mother, Clover, was both surprised and befuddled upon meeting her new grandson, though she quickly gets over it to become a doting grandmother.
  • Winds of Destiny, Change!: Much like his deceased mother, Clover, he possesses probability manipulation abilities, except he has greater power and control due to becoming the Alicorn god of Luck. He's able to create both supernatural good and bad luck, and can give ponies either blessings or hexes. His entry notes that this is an extremely useful ability to have, as increasing his opponents' bad luck in a fight helps compensate for his relative lack of combat skill. However, he sometimes has difficulty controlling his powers and has accidentally given himself bad luck.
  • Winged Unicorn: He became an Alicorn god via a combination of good deeds and tutoring from both Blue Suede Heartstrings and a then-recently Ascended Princess Brightglow, despite personally believing that he has little chance of doing so. By his own admission, he outright fainted when he realized he actually succeeded.
  • You Need to Get Laid: Many of his friends at the time believed he was "missing out", so they tried 'helping' him by getting Shamrock a girlfriend and/or teaching him how to be more flirtatious. When he approaches Blue Suede Heartstrings on the matter, he reveals that he did talk to his friends about only loving his would-be romantic partners platonically, but they didn't listen despite it. This pissed off Blue something fierce, so he decides to give his godson's friends "a nice, long talk" for being so insensitive to his godson.

Princess Radiant Rapier, the Princess of Justice

Classification: Ascendant/Ethereal

Portfolio: Justice, Law, Metal

Rank: Divine (Tier IV/Greater)

"Evil will fail. No matter how long it takes, no matter what or where it takes... justice will be served."

Princess Radiant Rapier (her entry here) is the Alicorn goddess of Justice, Law, and Metal, and a former member of the Poenan Pantheon. Born in the 'Second Age', from a young age the daughter of Bright Eyes and Lancer prove to be a splitting image of her superheroic parents, developing both a strong intellectual drive, as well as a strong sense of justice that could sometimes get out of hoof. Pursuing a career in law-enforcement and superheroics like her parents, her dedication to justice eventually caused it to become her epitaph and one of her domains when she achieved Alicornhood like the other Virtusidae under the tuition of Luminiferous.

There is however a dark side to the Princess of Justice. The loss of her parents to old age and having experienced other great losses over the catastrophic end of not one but two Ages, a deeply-affected Radiant Rapier buried herself in her duties, trying to bring to justice all manners of Evils and Villains over millennia regardless of how persistent or powerful they are. This continued until one day she bit more than she could chew, leading an attempt to finally bring the infamous triumphant overlord and dark goddess Iniquitous to justice. Having underestimated the Vicearch of Malrègnar, her expedition ended in utter disaster, leading to their armies of angels and champions slaughtered by the Malrègnarian legions and her allied divines defeated and devoured by Iniquitous. A horrified and broken Radiant Rapier was only spared the same fate thanks to a last-second intervention by the Virtuecrat of Vertusia, who bargained with her Evil Counterpart for the Princess of Justice's life.

Traumatized by her monumental defeat, Radiant Rapier descended into a downward spiral of moral extremism, becoming an emotionless, uncompromising engine of divine sanction obsessed with hunting down and punishing the guilty with increasingly brutal and ruthless efficiency. This went to the point she joined up with the Poenan Pantheon by invitation, deferring to the Mistress of Punishment and the other puristic, hot-headed divines despite being far older than many of them by devoting herself to enforce the pantheon's collective decisions, no matter how extreme they are. This eventually led to her confronting Princess Stitching Times, a fellow Vritusidae, for her crimes as Final Epoch, for Radiant Rapier is the only one among the Poenans strong and experienced enough to have a shot at finally punishing Stitching Times for her crimes.

The resulting fight caused Radiant Rapier's emotional facade to crack and go into an emotional breakdown as an outraged Stitching Time and a desperate Prince Shamrock - whom Radiant Rapier used to look out for - confronted her and her extremism, nearly going mad and corrupting herself like Final Epoch and Nightmare Moon who would try to bring about a perfect and 'just' world by removing everyone's capacity to choose Good and Evil altogether. Luckily, Shamrock and the other Virtusidae were able to calm her down, and Princess Tough Love would break through and make her realize the true reason for her obsession with justice is more about her guilt and regrets for her own perceived 'crimes' and failures, and convinced her to finally let go and forgive herself, which she tearfully did.

After quitting the Poenan Pantheon, Radiant Rapier is now dedicated to atoning for her own actions as an overzealous force of justice and other failings, while still seeking to bring justice to evildoers and criminals wherever she goes, hoping to still make the just and better world she and her mother dreamed of in a better way.
  • Alliterative Name: Radiant Rapier.
  • Always Gets His Man: Goes with her quote. Even when she was a mortal member of the law enforcement and superheroic communities she was known for her relentless pursuit of criminals, having once chased a criminal across several cities to apprehend them. She took this even further once she became the Princess of Justice. It's one trait she shares with her friend, Prince Night Shade, who is similarly determined in pursuing criminals.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: She's an Alicorn goddess who embodies Justice, Law, and Metal.
  • The Atoner: Deconstructed. Radiant Rapier had self-loathing issues over her perceived failures such as not preventing the end of both the Second and Third Ages, or getting all her allies and subordinates killed in the disastrous Malrègnar operation, even where her fault was very little. This drives Radiant to try make up for said failures in some manner, which has led to her overcompensating and, in the process, becoming hardline and self-righteous in her methods of atonement. When Radiant learns Blue Suede Heartstrings managed to befriend Vicearch Iniquitous, the same person who devoured all of her holy allies, she starts resenting him, blaming him for her mistakes and seeing him as a Hypocrite. This contributes to Blue Suede's psychological breakdown later on, and being ostracized by her disgusted friends and allies for it forces her to realize how her pride and guilt twisted her views on justice into something truly reprehensible. With that in mind, she acknowledges her sin of pride and self-righteousness, spurring her to make a deal with Vicearch Iniquitous - for every Malrègnarian criminal she helps Iniquitous catch and bring to justice, Iniquitous will release one of Radiant's allies from her own dark glory in exchange.
  • Bargain with Heaven: An interesting variation, as eventually Radiant Rapier would after recovering from her trauma and moved on from her overzealous phase meet with Vicearch Iniquitous (while standing in Vertusia's borders) in a canonized drabble that sees her make one of these to the Vicearch. If Radiant Rapier tracks down and apprehends Malrègnarian criminals, truly vile, evil criminals who the world is decidedly better off if they're brought to justice, and brings them to her, Iniquitous will return her comrades who she devoured during Radiant Rapier's disastrous attempt against her. This is mutually beneficial, as Iniquitous considers these criminals' continued freedom an embarassment to her and her empire, while Radiant Rapier gets her friends back and brings justice to numerous, extremely evil and monstrous evildoers that deserve to take her comrades' place inside Iniquitous. While the list of criminals did include a number of benevolent beings to have run afoul with Iniquitous, it's implied this was a Secret Test of Character and Iniquitous is willing to bargain other, much more monstrous criminals' capture for their freedom.
  • Broken Bird:
  • Bullying a Dragon: Much like the Poenans, her dedication to justice often resulted in her picking fights with figures and forces of villainy and Evil that are beyond even her capability to handle. This led to her being curb-stomped on two notable occasions: first in the Second Age by Overmare, who was widely considered the greatest supervillain and an enemy of her mother and the other Virutous Seven. Her second one happened in the Fourth Age, long after she ascended to Alicornhood, at the hooves of Vicearch Iniquitous, which was so traumatic it nearly sent Radiant Rapier off the deep end.
  • Curbstomp Battle: Received this on at least two occasions as a result of her tendency to biting more than she could chew.
    • During her time as a mortal super-heroine, she took on Overmare herself as a member of the Just Detectives. Since Overmare is widely and rightly considered the greatest supervillain of the Second Age, Radiant Rapier got thrashed for her trouble.
    • The second, far more traumatic one was when she led a crusading army of righteous gods, celestial angels, heroic champions and mortal warriors into Malregnar with the intent of bringing Vicearch Iniquitous to justice once and for all, only to have their armies, champions and angels massacred by Malregnarian forces while she was captured and Forced to Watch in horror as Vicearch Iniquitous defeated and devoured all her divine allies.
  • Curb-Stomp Cushion: It's mentioned that despite the whole thing ending in their near-total annihilation, Radiant Rapier's crusade into Malregnar actually made it all the way to confronting Vicearch Iniquitous Herself.
Malregnar Criminals: B-But how?! The Infernal Majesty crushed you!
Princess Radiant Rapier: Did you forget that I and my comrades were able to REACH HER in the first place?
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: While "Evil" is a bit of a misnomer, she's a Knight Templar and Well-Intentioned Extremist whose motivations stem from her love for her long-dead mother, her wish only to create the 'perfect' world that her mother wanted.
  • The Evils of Free Will: When Radiant Rapier was on the brink of completely losing it and corrupting herself, she furiously ranted about how the all the Evils and Injustice in the world was because nature or the gods 'made the mistake' of giving free will to sapient mortals, allowing them the chance to make mistakes and choose to commit crime and sin, and that the solution was to get rid of it so that the world would finally have ABSOLUTE order and justice and EVERYONE would finally be PERFECT. It took the rest of the Virtusidae quite a bit of effort to talk her down and give her a Cooldown Hug.
  • Extra-ore-dinary: Metal is part of Radiant Rapier's domain, allowing her to create and manipulate metal and even transmute her body into metal. Unlike Marlu, Radiant Rapier's ability is differentiated by her specializing in liquid metal, allowing her to slip through gaps and travel through narrow pipes to catch her foes in confined, enclosed spaces. She could also combine it with a god's natural shapeshifting abilities to transform her limbs into weapons, usually blades.
  • Heroic BSoD: Experienced one for quite some time after being left the Sole Survivor of her disastrous campaign against Vicearch Iniquitous, complete with a Thousand-Yard Stare. It would contribute to her downward spiral into moral extremism and hardline pursuit of justice that would ultimately culminate in her being invited to join the Poenan Pantheon.
  • Heroic Lineage: She's the surviving daughter of Bright Eyes, a Second-Age superheroine and a member of the 'Tales Seven' group. However, Bright Eyes would later come Back from the Dead and Ascend as an demi-Alicorn Princess, making their relations a case of Divine Parentage.
  • Hypocrite:
    • Radiant Rapier shunned Princess Opera Tide out of anger towards the Oceanaiads, who played a role in the Third Age's destruction, even though Opera Tide was just a baby when it happened. This would get Radiant chewed out by Opera Tide's friend, Princess Winter Opera, who is enraged with her judicial hypocrisy.
    • After being sent by the Poenan Pantheon to punish Stitching Time for her stint as Final Epoch, Radiant Rapier apologized to her friend for it. Stitching Time understandably chewed her out for it, taking issue with the fact that Radiant Rapier still agreed with the Poenan Pantheon's judgement and treatment of her as an unrepentant criminal, regardless of her genuine remorse and efforts to atone, and had the gall to apologize after the fact.
    • Radiant Rapier saw Blue Suede Heartstrings as a hypocrite for befriending Vicearch Iniquitous and blamed him for the failed attack on Malrègnar, all while refusing to acknowledge that said failed attack was her own fault. This led to a massive fallout after her resentment contributed to Blue Suede's mental breakdown, with both her fellow Virtusidae and other friends chewing her out and ostracizing her in disgust. Radiant realized how far she had fallen thanks to this, spurring her to make a prisoner-exchange deal with Vicearch Iniquitous to atone for her hardline extremism and self-righteousness.
  • I Am the Noun: She screamed in a frustrated, hysterical fury that she IS justice when the Rapier of Justice refused to obey her command, unable to comprehend why the blade refuse to acknowledge her, a goddess of justice, as a worthy owner. She did not register until she saw her own reflection on the blade that it is because in that moment, she really wasn't worthy.
  • Innocently Insensitive: Quipped that Stitching Time 'did the crime and had to pay the time' after being sealed away as Final Epoch. While she didn't meant to do so, this made Shamrock even more upset and contributed to him nearly committing suicide. This disgusted some of her fellow Virtusidae and got her told off by them; Tough Love notably punched her through a mountain and chewed her out for her words, making her realize how much she'd hurt Shamrock.
  • Knight Templar: She fell in with the Poenan Pantheon and their mortal followers for a while, determined to rid Equus of all traces of evil. This got her in a conflict with Princess Stitching Time, forcing Prince Shamrock to personally intervene in order to prevent another loss of more loved ones.
  • It's All My Fault: Blames herself deeply for many of her failures, believing herself to be responsible for them. This drives her to overcompensate and going off into downward spirals of hardline extremism in order to somehow make up and atone for those failures.
  • Judge, Jury, and Executioner: Her post-Malrégner phase had her becoming ruthless and hardline enough to level entire corrupted kingdoms if it'll bring justice to the guilty. It was why she was eventually invited by Poena to join her pantheon of fellow hardliners.
  • Laser-Guided Karma:
    • Radiant Rapier shunned Princess Opera Tide for being an Oceanaiad, since the latter's people contributed a huge part to the Third Age's destruction out of imperial arrogance, xenophobia, and cruelty. This would enrage Opera Tide's friend, Princess Winter Opera, who proceeded to call Radiant Rapier out for her hypocrisy of judging an innocent person of someone else's crimes.
    • Radiant Rapier tried to cope with her grief over Stitching Time's Fall by being generally unsympathetic towards her friend's actions, believing that she deserved it for becoming Final Epoch. She also contributed to Shamrock's suicide attempt by telling him that he's 'wasting his time' mourning Stitching Time's fate and callously quipping she had to 'pay the time' for her crimes. This would earn Radiant the disgust and anger of her fellow Virtusidae, with Tough Love punching her in the face hard enough to send her flying into a mountain before chewing her out for her behavior.
    • When Radiant Rapier learned Blue Suede Heartstrings befriended Vicearch Iniquitous, she began resenting him to the point of seeing Blue Suede as a hypocrite and blaming him for the failed attack on Malrègnar... something that was her own fault to begin with. This contributed to Blue Suede's psychological breakdown and near-Fall, which he narrowly survives. When Bossa Nova Heartstrings learns of this following the defeat/death of 'The Colonel', he made it absolutely clear that unless she owns up to her mistakes, he wants nothing to do with her. It also spurs some of the Virtusidae to estrange themselves from Radiant Rapier out of disgust.
    • Radiant Rapier's former student and ally, Righteous Riposte, would angrily disown her as his mentor upon learning of her dealings with Vicearch Iniquitous, believing Radiant Rapier to be a Hypocrite for associating with great evil. One of the Codexverse writers commented that this is rather karmic, as Radiant Rapier contributed to Blue Suede Heartstrings' psychological breakdown by doing the same thing to him.
  • Living Weapon: She possesses an Elder Edge with a rapier horn named Scales, which she dotes on.
  • My God, What Have I Done?:
    • Implied to experience this regarding her disastrous Malrégner campaign. Having underestimated the Vicearch of Malrégner, she was tangibly responsible for the incursion force getting utterly crushed, leading to the deaths of all their angels and champions and all her fellow divines consumed by Iniquitous. Being the Sole Survivor, it contributes to her Heroic BSoD and her downward spiral into hardline extremism that eventually got her a place in the Poenan Pantheon.
    • She would experience this again when her role in Blue Suede Heartstrings' near-Fall caused many of her family and friends to ostracize her, disgusted with how far her judicial purism had taken her. Realizing that she became a self-righteous hypocrite in trying too hard to make up for her own flaws/mistakes, she approached Vicearch Iniquitous, sufficiently humbled, and made an prisoner-exchange deal as part of her atonement.
  • My Greatest Failure: As noted above, she blames herself for many failures which she perceive herself mostly responsible, which ranges from failing to stop the catastrophic ends of the Second and Third Age to leading to all her divine comrades, angelic subordinates and heroic mortals to their deaths at the hooves of Vicearch Iniquitous in her disastrous Malrégner campaign. It is noted in her own eyes, subconsciously, she herself is the one 'villain' in her mind that she could never find it in her to forgive or defeat.
  • "Not So Different" Remark: Brought up by Prince Shamrock Bloom, which infuriates Radiant Rapier. Radiant Rapier claims she only wanted to create a better world that is completely free from all Evil and Injustice, believing that this is what her mother would had wanted. Shamrock, however noted that this is closer to what Overmare, the greatest super-villain of the 'Second Age' wanted, and it's hard not to see the similarities. Both of them want to save the world from itself through extreme methods, both strongly motivated by their love for their lost loved ones and their hopes for them. It's even hinted in Rapier's dialogue that her growing moral extremism at the time is making her resemble Overmare more and more, most notably in the dramatic emphases in her words, even as she furiously denied being anything like the hegemonic mastermind.
Princess Radiant Rapier: I'm not a monster! I'm trying to stop the monsters! I'm making the world my mother would've wanted!
Prince Shamrock: Y-You're making the w-world Overmare wanted!
Princess Radiant Rapier: DON'T you DARE compare ME to HER!
  • Rage Against the Reflection: Seeing her own face and gaze reflected upon the surface of the Rapier of Justice - not too different from that of Overmare's own expression every time she is defeated or denied - was what finally made her realize that she has become a Knight Templar no different from the villains and criminals she has become obsessed with punishing in terms of conduct.
  • The Resenter: Deconstructed. After learning Blue Suede Heartstrings had somehow developed a cordial relationship with Vicearch Iniquitous, Radient Rapier started resenting him for it, given what She did with Radient Rapier's comrades and believing no good being should associate with such great evil. This resentment contributed to Blue Suede's breakdown, and it took her fellow Virtusidae as well as her other friends calling her out on it and ostracizing her until she comes around to snap her out of her puristic mindset, leading directly to her prisoner-exchange deal with Vicearch Iniquitous.
  • Shocking Defeat Legacy:
    • One of the biggest events that send her further into a downward spiral of hardline extremist pursuit of justice involved her leading an attempt to try and bring to justice Iniquitous, the infamous 'Vicearch' of the Malrégner Empire and one of the most successful Evil Overlords and Gods of Evil to ever came to power on Equus. It ended disastrously, as while she is experienced and skilled, Iniquitous proved to be far stronger and more dangerous than she had expected, leading to the deaths of all their angels and champions and all the gods she took with her - including a young god of justice she mentored - being devoured by Iniquitous. Radiant Rapier was only spared the same fate by the timely rescue of Virtuecrat Fairytale, Iniquitous' Good Counterpart and a reincarnation of the Virtuous/Tales Seven's fused and ascended form. The Princess of Justice was left near-utterly broken by the experience, complete with borderline-catatonia and a Thousand-Yard Stare for some time, and when she returned to work she would became even more ruthless and merciless to all that are evil and unjust, leveling entire corrupt kingdoms with her divine power and hunting down and punishing all criminals with relentless brutality.
  • Super Cop: She was a member of the Just Detectives, an organization of superheroic investigators and law enforcers dedicated to Justice founded by her own mother, though she did not receive any special treatment while in it and had legitimately worked and earned her way to being her mother's second-in-command, than being head of the organization after her mother's retirement. After quitting the Poenans and reforming from her hardline phase, she proceeded to resurrect the Just Detectives.
  • Super Team: She re-founded the Just Detectives organization in the Fourth Age, having been a member and eventually leader of the Second Age one, which consist of heroic and super-heroic investigators and law enforcers.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: She would be called out for her more reprehensible actions a few times by those close to her.
    • Radiant Rapier once upset Shamrock by callously treating Final Epoch like a criminal who deserved to be sealed away and telling Shamrock that he was 'wasting his time' mourning her, which directly contributed to Shamrock's attempted suicide. She also callously quipped that Stitching Time 'did the crime and had to pay the time' in regards to her friend's stint as Final Epoch. This caused Radiant Rapier's other friend, Princess Tough Love, who was chewed out by Prince Crystal Clear for doing the same thing, to angrily punch her through a mountain and chew her out for her No Sympathy, in the process causing Radiant Rapier to realize how much she'd hurt her friend.
    • Radiant Rapier would later be called out by a furious Princess Winter Opera for mistreating Princess Opera Tide by association of her race. Even though Radiant Rapier was full of self-loathing and guilt for her inability to stop the end of the Third Age, Winter Opera still found her mistreatment of her friend Opera Tide to be abhorrent, since Opera Tide was a baby when the Third Age ended. In Winter Opera's eyes, it's no different from how she herself was mistreated for being the daughter of Second-Age villain War Rock.
    • Radiant Rapier would also be called out by Stitching Time for treating her like an unpunished criminal, regardless of her genuine guilt and efforts to atone for her time as Final Epoch. Radiant Rapier having the gall to apologize when she willingly went along with the Poenan Pantheon's decision to punish her made it even worse.
Princess Stitching Time: So, your boss sent you to 'punish me'?
Princess Radiant Rapier: It was a group-decision. I'm sorry, Stitching...
Princess Stitching Time: You're sorry?! I freaking screwed up the timeline nine or ten times! I betrayed my mentor and all of you! I nearly made Shamrock kill himself! And I'm sorry for all of it! I've spent every last second since I came back trying to make up for it however I could! But that doesn't matter to your groupie, does it? I did a bad thing, so I'm forever bad? How is THAT fair?! How is THAT justice?
    • Radiant Rapier would be chewed out by a furious Bossa Nova Heartstrings after he learns she contributed to Blue Suede Heartstrings' near-Fall by resenting him for befriending Vicearch Iniquitous and blaming him for her failed attack on Malrégner. Bossa Nova made it absolutely clear that unless she swallows her pride and owns up to her mistakes, both he and his twin brother want nothing to do with her. Radiant Rapier's role in Blue Suede's corruption would also cause some of her fellow Virtusidae to estrange themselves from her in disgust as a consequence.
Bossa Nova Heartstrings: Blame Blue all ya want, but ya still went ahead ta confront that god-eater despite ev'ry-creature tellin' ya not ta. So 'til the day ya decide ta fix yer lil' screw-up... don't come 'round me or mah twin brother ever again.
    • Around the same time, Radiant Rapier would also be called out by her old friend, Prince Night Shade. Unlike the others, Night Shade is sad and disappointed to find Radiant had relapsed into the same Poenan-like mindset that nearly damned them both. Nonetheless, he, too, joined in ostracizing her for hurting Blue Suede Heartstrings with her resentment, believing it to be the best punishment he could offer her.
Prince Night Shade: How far have you fallen, old friend, for you to return to the same toxic beliefs and actions we both left behind?

Princess Praline, the Princess of Beauty

Classification: Ascendant

Portfolio: Beauty, Fashion, Baking

Rank: Divine (Tier IV/Greater)

"One advantage of being a goddess: it's extremely hard to mess up your figure, no matter how much you eat."

Princess Praline (her entry here) is the Alicorn goddess of Beauty, Fashion, and Baking, and is a heroic member of the Virtusidae.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: She's a Alicorn goddess who embodies Beauty, Fashion, and Baking.
  • Arch-Enemy: Queen Eclaira of the Shadowpact Pantheon serve as her biggest opponent among the villainous mentioned so far, an Evil Counterpart Foil of herself as a goddess with beauty and food domains, being a Vain Sorceress who is obsessed with becoming the Fairest of Them All and eating as much as she likes, which she does by devouring people alive and taking away their beauty and vitality in her belly. Being from the compassionate and innocent Third Age, however, she is much nicer than she looks and despite them still opposing one other they had by the Fourth Age they had become an Friendly Enemy with each other, hanging out and socializing when not getting each others' way.
  • Asian Fox Spirit: Her Werefox form looks like one due to her being a goddess, including having nine tails.
  • Beauty Equals Goodness: She's the pony goddess of Beauty and is a loving wife and mother and a great hero.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Praline is one of the nicest gods you can get to know. You touch or use her children in anyway, however, and she'll make clear her furious disapproval of you with her own two hooves. Even her husband Star Cut was taken aback by how furious his normally gentle and beautiful wife could be if pushed far enough, as seen when she went all out on Queen Eclaira.
Overlord Vondur: So... is she like that often?
Prince Star Cut: N-no, she's almost never that angry... She’s always so gentle... so kind...
Princess Praline: I’LL MAKE YOUR MANE AND TAIL INTO A NEW SCARF, YOU MIRROR-OBSESSED FOOD-BINGING HARPY! I’LL TAKE ALL THOSE GUTS OUT OF YOUR BELLY AND STRANGLE YOU WITH IT FOR WHAT YOU DID TO MY DAUGHTER - !
  • Big Eater: She's a self-professed one, as she inherited her eating habits and sweet tooth from her parents, Bon Bon and Spinner, though she never suffers the consequences of consuming huge amounts of food. This is justified as being an Alicorn goddess makes it extremely hard for her to ruin her beautiful figure, something she knows and exploits.
  • Deity of Human Origin: She was once the mortal daughter of Bon Bon and Spinner from the Second Age, until she became an Alicorn goddess through good deeds and tutoring from Luminiferous.
  • Extreme Mêlée Revenge: When pushed to her limits, she will stop being adverse to combat and lay unto you personally with her own two hooves, as Queen Eclaira, one of her rivals from the Third Age, discovered to her dismay.
  • The Fashionista: She is a goddess of fashion after all. Her domain allows her to make materials for dress and craft dresses that empower the wearer.
  • Forced Transformation: Her domain of Baking allows her to magically turn anything into food, including people. However, like many benevolent Food deities, she refuses to do it unless she's in a situation that warranted it, such as self-defense.
  • Happily Married: To Prince Star Cut, and the only ones among the Virtusidae.
  • Hot God: Gender-inverted. Because she is a goddess of Beauty, she is stunningly beautiful by even divine standards. So much in fact that in theory she could compel the weak-willed among them to become hopelessly attracted to her and do whatever she command them to. However, due to her morals and the fact that she's already married, she dislike using that ability.
  • I Have Boobs, You Must Obey!: Defied. Owing to her Beauty domain, she is supernaturally beautiful by divine standards, which she can exploit by compelling others to obey her whims. But she doesn't like misusing her appearance that way due to her morals.
  • Magic Hair: Her mane and tail are described as being made of beautiful, sparkling energy.
  • The Magnificent: Known as "the Princess of Beauty", due to being an extremely beautiful Alicorn goddess who embodies Beauty as a concept.
  • Mama Bear: She was absolutely furious with her Third Age rival Queen Eclaira kidnapping her daughter to use as bait to lure Praline so she could eat her and drain her primordial quintessence for Eclaira's own ascension to godhood. No sooner had she escaped her imprisonment and recovered, she went berserk on the newly-ascendant Eclaira and proceeded to beat the absolute snot out of her.
  • Meaningful Name: She's named after the praline, a sweet confection made with nuts and sugar that can be found in Belgium, France, and America. She's an Alicorn goddess who embodies Baking as a concept, and is a Big Eater.
  • The Muse: Due to being the Alicorn goddess of Baking and a Supreme Chef bar none, she often serves as a muse for mortal bakers and chefs, granting them inspiration for new recipes and dishes.
  • Never Gets Fat: She admits that one of her favorite things about being a goddess is that she doesn't have to worry about gaining weight.
  • Oh, Crap!: She freaked out when Prince Fanged Paw managed to summon a gigantic, eldritch fly monster and its brood with his cooking, right in the middle of her interview with Codex Equus writers/researchers. Thankfully, Dr. Endless Dreams would be there to defeat and send the fly monsters back to where they came from.
Princess Praline: In all my life working with chefs, I have NEVER encountered one whose cooking can aaaaaaAAAUAUGH WHAT ON EQUUS IS THAT?!
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Praline is normally gentle and kind, and is normally aversive to physical violence. But that time Queen Eclaira used her kidnapped daughter as bait to lure Praline herself to be Eaten Alive by Eclaira and drained of divine power for her own ascension to godhood during the Third Age was enough to sent her flying into an Unstoppable Rage and apply a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown on her soon after she was released and recovered. If nothing else, it demonstrates even Praline has her limits.
  • Our Werebeasts Are Different: She's a natural born Werefox. As a divine one, she's even stronger than a normal Alpha and far more resistant to silver. She's also has Kitsune aspects due to her divinity, including nine tails.
  • Power-Up Food: Her domain of Baking allows her to magically imbue various effects into the food she makes, making her dishes act potions that affect her allies. Said effects can range from empowering the consumer, rejuvenating them, or even healing injuries.
  • Screw the Rules, I'm Beautiful!: Defied. Her entry notes that her Beauty domain makes her supernaturally beautiful by even divine standards, to the point where she could compel others to obey her if they're weak-willed. This comes with the implication that she can bypass rules and get away with anything she wanted. However, due to her morals and being already married, she dislikes doing this.
  • Winged Unicorn: Like her fellow cousins and Virtusidae, she's an Alicorn goddess.
  • Your Approval Fills Me with Shame: She does NOT care for how much Queen Eclaira of the Shadowpact Pantheon admires her as a goddess of beauty and an inspiration even in spite of their adversarial relationship even before Eclaira's ascension as a 'Shadow Goddess'. This is due in part due to Praline seeing her obsession with beauty and villainous gluttony as twisted perversions of her domains from day one, and in part because Eclaira, being the cannibalistic Vain Sorceress she is, still wants to eat her and drain her as an endless supply of beauty and power inside her belly in her ravenous hunger and gigantic vanity. Strangely, they still managed by the modern day become something of a Friendly Enemy to each other.

Prince Star Cut, the Prince of Teaching

Classification: Ethereal/Ascendant

Portfolio: Crystal, Teaching, Contentment

Rank: Divine (Tier IV/Greater)

"No matter who or what we are, no matter what we do, we are always learning, for good or ill."

Prince Star Cut (his entry here) is the Alicorn god of Crystal, Teaching, and Contentment, the younger identical twin brother of Prince Alpine Butterfly, and a heroic member of the Virtusidae.
  • Always Identical Twins: He and Alpine Butterfly are identical twin brothers. The fact that they are identical twins caused Temnobog to assume that he and Alpine were split inside the womb by their father in his quest to make his unborn son perfect and completely flawless. They confirmed that while they did split inside the womb, it's because they were born naturally and not because of their father's meddling.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: He's an Alicorn god who embodies Crystal, Teaching, and Contentment.
  • The Dividual: Temnobog assumed he and Alpine Butterfly were magically split apart in the womb by their father to make his unborn son perfect and completely flawless, due to being identical twin brothers. They confirm that while they did split apart in the womb, it happened naturally and not because of their father's meddling.
Temnobog: So... You two weren't split in the womb either?
Prince Star Cut: Well if you want to get technical, we kind of were! That's how identical twins work, you know!.
  • Happily Married: To Princess Praline, a fellow member of the Virtusidae. Notably, they're the only ones of their group who are married.
  • Identical Twin ID Tag: Being identical twins, he and Alpine Butterfly look exactly the same except for a few differences - their manes and tails are composed of green energy, but his hair takes on more rigid shapes whereas Alpine's takes on wild and free shapes. His Cutie Mark is an opening book projecting a prism-like rainbow, while Alpine's Cutie Mark is an alpine butterfly knot held in a dog's mouth. He's less muscled than Alpine due to being a teacher and wears scholarly robes, whereas Alpine is more muscled due to his job as a park ranger and wears wooden barding. Alpine also sometimes manifests Flutter Pony wings instead of the normal Pegasus wings to make them easily recognizable.
  • Magic Hair: His mane and tail are made of green Knowledge energy. As Alpine Butterfly's younger identical twin, his mane tends to take on more rigid shapes to contrast the wild and free shapes of his brother.
  • The Magnificent: Known as "the Prince of Teaching".
  • "Not So Different" Remark: When Healing Song notes disapprovingly that the Alicorn Ascendancy (and most of its spin-offs) is not so different from a student trying to cheat on their homework, he acknowledges this to be true as he caught many of his own students doing the same thing. That being said, he points out to Healing Song that there's no law saying they can't teach the Ascendancy and its spin-offs that 'cheating' is wrong.
  • Winged Unicorn: Much like his twin brother and fellow Virtusidae, he's an Alicorn god.

Prince Alpine Butterfly, the Prince of Fauna

Classification: Ethereal/Ascendant

Portfolio: Fauna, Instinct, Survival

Rank: Divine (Tier IV/Greater)

"There's more to living than just not dying."

Prince Alpine Butterfly (his entry here) is the Alicorn god of Fauna, Instinct, and Survival, the older identical twin brother of Prince Star Cut, and a heroic member of the Virtusidae.
  • All Your Powers Combined: Being an Alicorn means that he has the combined magics of all mortal Pony tribes.
  • Always Identical Twins: He and Star Cut are identical twin brothers. The fact that they are identical twins caused Temnobog to assume that he and Star Cut were split inside the womb by their father in his quest to make his unborn son perfect and completely flawless. They confirmed that while they did split inside the womb, it wasn't because of their father's meddling, as they were born naturally.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: He's an Alicorn god who embodies Fauna, Instinct, and Survival.
  • The Dividual: He and Star Cut were assumed by Temnobog to be magically split apart in the womb by their father to make his unborn son perfect and completely flawless, due to being identical twin brothers. They confirm that while they did split apart in the womb, it happened naturally and not because of their father's meddling.
  • Identical Twin ID Tag: Being identical twins, he and Star Cut look exactly the same except for a few differences - their manes and tails are composed of green energy, but his hair takes on wild and free shapes whereas Star Cut's takes on more rigid shapes. His Cutie Mark is an alpine butterfly knot held in a dog's mouth, while Star Cut's Cutie Mark is an opening book projecting a prism-like rainbow. He's muscular due to his job as a park ranger and wears wooden barding, whereas Star Cut is less muscled due to being a scholar/teacher and wears scholarly robes. Unlike Star Cut, he sometimes manifests Flutter Pony wings instead of the normal Pegasus wings to make them easily recognizable.
  • Intergenerational Friendship: He's a "Tier IV"-ranked god who befriended Prince Fanged Paw, a demigod (an 'infant' by divine standards) over their shared affinity for animals.
  • Magic Hair: Like Star Cut, his mane and tail are made of green energy. As Star Cut's older identical twin, his mane tends to take on wild and free shapes to contrast the more rigid shapes of his brother.
  • The Magnificent: Known as "the Prince of Fauna".
  • Mentor Archetype: He would become a mentor figure to his friend, Prince Fanged Paw, once the latter discovered his animal shapeshifting powers, as they're identical to his own.
  • Outliving One's Offspring: Inverted. Due to Ascending to godhood, he and Star Cut would end up outliving both of their mortal parents, Starlight and Slipknot. Naturally, he and Star Cut would mourn their parents' deaths, but they ultimately pressed on.
  • Winged Unicorn: Much like his twin brother and fellow Virtusidae, he's an Alicorn god.

Dr. Endless Dreams, the Horror Eater

Classification: Ascendant/Ethereal

Portfolio: Dreams, Dimensions, Quantum Mechanics

Rank: Divine (Tier IV/Greater)

"'Cosmic horror'? Please, I ate one for breakfast one day and took all its stuff. Plus, many of them are actually quite friendly when you get to know them."

Dr. Endless Dreams (her entry here) is the eldritch Pony goddess of Dreams, Dimensions, and Quantum Mechanics, and is a very benevolent individual whose incomprehensible nature makes it hard for people to understand her.
  • Abstract Apotheosis: She Ascended to eldritch godhood by shattering the mind of an Abyssal One, Ymlezt'xix, via sheer Heroic Willpower when it tried mind-raping and possessing her, and assimilating both its essence and portfolio into herself.
  • Achievements in Ignorance: Following her eldritch Ascension, she decided to become a superheroine... and once accidentally stopped a bank robbery by trapping the supervillains responsible in a hypercube. Even she had no idea how it happened when questioned by Metamare, though she admits she found it fascinating.
    Metamare: What did you do?
Dr. Endless Dreams: I think I trapped them in a hypercube...
    Metamare: ...How?
Dr. Endless Dreams: I don't know, but it's fascinating!
  • Alien Geometries: Endless Dreams post-Ascension is described as resembling a distorted Pony as if she is looked at through the twilight of a dream, with her body appearing to exist in physical reality, the dream realm, and several adjacent dimensions simultaneously. Even her eyes, when looked into, has another Endless Dream inside their eyes repeated in an endless loop. And as a goddess of Dimensions and Quantum Mechancis, she can perceive and manipulate quantum phenomena, enter other dimensions and interact with beings beyond mortal comprehension, and create geometric objects that defy conventional logic, as shown when Endless Dreams accidentally trapped a group of bank-robbing supervillains in a hypercube.
  • All Just a Dream: By Endless Dreams' own admission, she often wonders whether if she is a real person or merely a dream (or part of someone else's dream), which leads to philosophical ramblings.
  • Animalistic Abomination: Following her absorption of Ymlezt'xix, she became an Eldritch Abomination that still resembles a Pony mare, but is so distorted that she now looks like the twilight of a dream, her body existing in physical reality, the dream realm, and several other adjacent dimensions simultaneously. Her body produces numerous tentacles that she can shape into Alicorn-like wings, and she has No Mouth as well as eyes that display an endless loop of herself looking back when looked at. She also possesses a strange mindset and all kinds of eldritch powers. Yet despite her transformation, she's still a benevolent mare at heart.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: She's an eldritch Equine goddess who embodies Dreams, Dimensions, and Quantum Mechanics.
  • The Anti-Nihilist: She knows that mortals are as significant as ants in the grand scheme of things, and that there are higher, more powerful beings like herself who are either apathetic to mortals or wish to see them all dead. However, it's noted that the reason why she finds mortals fascinating and endearing is because like ants, mortals have proved themselves capable of surviving anything, including disasters that had felled entire divine pantheons, and have great potential to do great things if they work together.
  • Assimilation Backfire: She was intended by the Cult of Ymlezt'xix to become the host of their titualr god. This would have resulted in her mind shattered and her soul absorbed as Ymlezt'xix used her body to re-enter the world and wreak havoc upon it. Fortunately, she recalled Starlight's teachings, giving her the Heroic Willpower needed to resist Ymlezt'xix's corruption and Ascend to godhood once she killed and assimilated the Abyssal One into herself.
  • Astonishingly Appropriate Appearance: Her Cutie Mark depicts a sleeping foal, which fits her as an eldritch Pony goddess who can interact with dreams, the subconscious, and other dimensions even in her sleep.
  • Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: One of her major flaws post-Ascension is that she's rather easily distracted, since her powers by nature makes her aware of things that others couldn't see or comprehend. This also makes it hard to truly discern whether she is just insane or it's her expanded awareness that makes her act the way she does.
  • Benevolent Abomination: Despite being a divine Animalistic Abomination who vaguely resembles a Pony and is somewhat insane, Endless Dreams is a very nice mare who is incredibly fascinated with both superheroes and the ancient past. Many people who tried summoning her for malevolent reasons, like a cult who thought they could use her to smite their enemies, end up learning the hard way why they shouldn't provoke her. She also sees mortals as ants... but in the sense that they are capable of achieving great things when working together and genuinely wants mortals to do more of that.
  • Beyond the Impossible: Normally, a mortal cannot hope to defeat a god, let alone an Abyssal One like Ymlezt'xix, whose kind is impossibly ancient even by divine standards. Yet Endless Dreams managed to defeat Ymlezt'xix anyway by resisting with Heroic Willpower so strong that Ymlezt'xix was completely broken in body, mind, and soul, allowing her to assimilate its divine essence into herself and Ascend to eldritch godhood.
  • Big Damn Heroes: At one point, she stopped a bank robbery simply by showing up. As the robbers were previously trapped in a hypercube by accident because of her, they immediately chose to surrender without struggle rather than risk facing her again.
  • Blue Is Heroic: Endless Dreams originally had dark blue fur as a mortal Earth Pony, and despite being born sickly and weak, she was inspired by Starlight's encouragement to become a gadget-based superheroine. She also ended up foiling a plot to let loose an Abyssal One, Ymlezt'xix, into the world by breaking Ymlezt'xix's mind and assimilating them into herself when the Abyssal One tried possessing her, transforming herself into an eldritch goddess. She continued to perform many heroics well into the Fourth Age, despite being horrifying and incomprehensible to many.
  • Broke Your Arm Punching Out Cthulhu: She killed Ymlezt'xix, an Abyssal One, by overpowering and assimilating them into herself when they tried possessing her and shattering her mind. This transformed her into an eldritch goddess, but the merger left her somewhat insane, easily distracted, and horrifyingly incomprehensible to mortals.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: Justified; both her assimilation of Ymlezt'xix and her following transformation into an divine Eldritch Abomination left her somewhat insane, as her very nature and powers left her exposed to things she couldn't quite comprehend. It is ambiguous whether her insanity is due to her expanded perception of reality, or the process of resisting and assimilating Ymlezt'xix broke her mind.
  • Create Your Own Hero: While she was already a heroine beforehand thanks to Starlight's encouragements, she wouldn't have become a benevolent eldritch horror had the Cult of Ymlezt'xix not decided to kidnap and force her to become the chosen vessel of their eponymous god. This ends up biting the cult and their god in the collective flank hugely.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle:
    • After assimilating Ymlezt'xix into herself, she exploited Ymlezt'xix's connection to his cultists by depowering them and defeating them effortlessly.
    • She also defeated a group of bank-robbing supervillains by accidentally imprisoning them in a hypercube, with no idea how she did it. Said supervillains were incredibly traumatized by the experience and it took her showing up the next time they tried robbing a bank again for them to immediately surrender without struggle.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Endless Dreams was born a sickly and physically weak Earth Pony who came to idolize Starlight, but her condition prevented her from becoming a hero herself. With Starlight's encouragement, she decided to become a heroic Gadgeteer Genius while pursuing a career in both anthropology and archaeology. Unfortunately, an oceanic expedition Endless Dreams partook in led to her and her team uncovering some ancient ruins, where they were attacked by the Cult of Ymlezt'xix. The cult members chose Endless Dreams to be a vessel for Ymlezt'xix, an Abyssal One sealed away in the dream world... but after Ymlezt'xix possessed her, Endless Dreams fought back by overpowering the Abyssal One with her will and assimilating them into herself. She saved the world, but consequentially became an eldritch goddess who may or may not be completely bonkers.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Endless Dreams was originally a dark blue Earth Pony with a black mane and tail. While she became an eldritch goddess later in life, she is genuinely benevolent, and she only became that way because she wanted to stop an eldritch horror from possessing her and using her body as a vessel to re-enter the world (and wreak havoc on it). She also has various eldritch abilities that would drive people mad and make reality cry, but despite this, she uses said abilities for good.
  • Deep Sleep: At one point, she fell into a deep slumber that lasted for three Ages, though she would subtly interfere with the waking world through her dreams. She eventually woke up in the Fourth Age, when a cult tried waking her with the intention of using her to shatter the minds of their enemies.
  • Defeating the Undefeatable: While the Abyssal Ones had antagonized the world in past Ages, her feat of shattering Ymlezt'xix's mind and assimilating its divine essence into herself proved that the Abyssal Ones can be killed. Notably, her feat would be repeated in the Third Age not only by Tranquil Dream, who Ascended to godhood the same way, but also various Third Age civilizations, heroes, villains, and deities, who all reduced to the Abyssal Ones down to one survivor, Queen Kthoryu.
  • Deity of Human Origin: She was originally a sickly Earth Pony mare who nonetheless became a gadget-themed superheroine thanks to Starlight's encouragement. Then she and her colleagues were kidnapped by a cult, whose members chose her to become a vessel for their god, Ymlezt'xix, as a way for it to escape the dream world and re-enter the waking world. However, rather than have her mind shattered, she instead turned the tables and resisted Ymlezt'xix's influence to the point of shattering its mind and assimilating the Abyssal One into herself, Ascending to godhood. Presently, she's an eldritch Pony godhoess who embodies Dreams, Dimensions, and Quantum Mechanics.
  • Delicate and Sickly: She admits that in her youth, she was rather sickly and physically weak, which prevented her from following her dream of becoming a superheroine like Starlight. But after receiving encouragement from Starlight herself, she would get around her condition by creating gadgets she would use to fight crime around her college campus and the surrounding area. Her assimilation of Ymlezt'xix and following Ascension cured her of her physical ailments, but left her somewhat bonkers.
  • Demonic Possession: She was captured by the Cult of Ymlezt'xix, whose members intended to turn her into a vessel for Ymlezt'xix so their figure of worship could escape the dream realm it was sealed in and re-enter the world. However, it backfired — upon remembering Starlight's words and stories of her heroism, she actively fought against the attempted possession and absorbed both Ymlezt'xix's essence and entire portfolio. She became an eldritch goddess because of it, and she was able to easily De-power and retaliate against the cultists with her newly-gained powers.
  • De-power: After killing and absorbing Ymlezt'xix via sheer force of will, she proceeded to punish Ymlezt'xix's cultists by taking away their powers through their magical connection to her and utterly overpowering them.
  • Did We Just Have Tea with Cthulhu?: Despite being a powerful, eldritch goddess who can drive people insane if she chose to, Endless Dreams is pretty friendly and amicable. Her fascination with history has, by her own admission, led her to asking Emperor Golden Scepter a million historical questions in under a few minutes. When a cult awoke Endless Dreams from her slumber in the Fourth Age, mistaking her for a mindless Eldritch Abomination they can use against their enemies, Endless Dreams told the cult to "stop being jerks", punished the chief priest by trapping him in a dimension full of singing flowers when he refused to listen, and comforted the other traumatized cultists with pictures of adorable kittens.
  • Did You Just Punch Out Cthulhu?: After Ymlezt'xix possesses her and tries breaking her mind, she responds by resisting them, inspired by Starlilght's heroics and teachings. To everyone's shock, she not only breaks Ymlezt'xix's mind, but also fully assimilates them and their powers into herself, leading to her Ascending as an eldritch goddess. Her feat would be repeated an Age later by Tranquil Dream during the "Abyssal Wars".
  • Dream Walker: As a goddess of Dreams, she can traverse through dreams and interact with them. This is what she did following the end of the Second Age and her falling into a deep slumber.
  • Dream Weaver: As a goddess of Dreams, she can easily traverse, manipulate and influence dreams like it's another physical dimension. She can do this even while in slumber, not unlike Cthulhu himself. This is what she did following the end of the Second Age and her falling into a deep slumber.
  • Eldritch Abomination: After overpowering and assimilating Ymlezt'xix, an Abyssal One, she became an entity that vaguely resembles a Pony mare, but is distorted as if one is looking at her through the twilight of a dream, her body appearing to exist in physical reality, the dream realm, and several adjacent dimensions simultaneously. She also possesses numerous tentacles emerging from her back in a manner resembling an Alicorn's wings, no visible mouth, and eyes that display an endless loop of herself looking back when looked at. She also possesses a strange mindset and all kinds of eldritch powers as a consequence of the assimilation, but despite everything, she's still a benevolent mare at heart.
  • Eldritch Transformation: She Ascended to eldritch godhood by overpowering and assimilating an Abyssal One, Ymlezt'xix, when they tried breaking her mind after possessing her. Now, her true form resembles the twilight of a dream in a vaguely Pony-like form, existing in physical reality, the Dream realms, and several adjacent dimensions simultaneously.
  • Familiar: At some point, Endless Dreams became the owner of a "Void kitten" named Mr. Shadow, who behaves like an adorable kitten despite its unnerving appearance. And thanks to Endless Dreams' transdimensional insights and her ability to commune with cosmic horrors beyond comprehension, her mortal followers/cultists end up being inspired to take in "beings between spaces" as famliars and pets, like one who did so with an eldritch entity named Erwin.
  • A Form You Are Comfortable With: Post-Ascension, she usually appears as a Pony mare with the proportions and size of an Alicorn her age, and a mane and tail filled with endless stars. This is because her true form is so mind-boggingly eldritch that people often go mad upon looking at it... unless they're wearing Perception Filter glasses. That being said, she has used her true form to "scare the ever-loving horseapples" out of evildoers on numerous occasions.
  • Foil: To Tranquil Dream, a fellow eldritch deity. Both are honorary members of their respective groups, though Tranquil Dream is part of the Redeeming Six, a group of six Ponies who made huge mistakes and later chose to help redeem others, whereas Endless Dreams is part of the Virtusidae, the Ascendant children of legendary superheroines. Tranquil Dream suffered from mental/emotional stress in his early life, whereas Endless Dreams was sickly and physically weak in hers. While Tranquil Dream became a yoga instructor and dream therapist, Endless Dreams became a Gadgeteer Genius hero. Tranquil Dream Ascended to eldritch godhood by willingly let an Abyssal One possess him to save Pillow Talk/Dulce from her intended fate during the "Abyssal Wars". Endless Dreams ended up doing the same thing an Age earlier, except she was kidnapped by a cult and forced to become the vessel for an Abyssal One against her will prior to her own Ascension. While Tranquil Dream embodies the good aspects of dreams and minds, and bringing tranquility to both, Endless Dreams is the exact opposite, as she embodies concepts that come straight out of a Cosmic Horror Story like dreams and dimensions.
  • From Zero to Hero: She was born a sickly Earth Pony who, after being encouraged by Starlight, became a superheroine like her idol by building gadgets to assist her in fighting crime. Then, while on an oceanic expedition, she was kidnapped by a cult and chosen to be a living vessel for Ymlezt'xix, an Abyssal One, to escape the Dream world it was sealed in and enter the physical world. In trying to stop Ymlezt'xix from taking over her body, however, she unexpectedly shattered the Abyssal One's mind and assimilated it into herself, becoming a benevolent yet insane eldritch Pony goddess. She performed many heroics well into the Fourth Age, despite her transformation making her incomprehensible to many.
  • Gadgeteer Genius: To get around her sickly physical constitution, she built her own gadgets which she then used to become a superheroine, fighting crime in both her college campus and the area she lived in.
  • God in Human Form: Sort of. Her default form post-Ascension is a Pony mare with the proportions and size of an Alicorn her age, with her mane and tail being filled with endless stars. While still eldritch to a degree, she assumes this form out of necessity because her true form either drives people mad or fills them with existential dread.
  • Good Counterpart: To Prince Varázsló. Both Varázsló and Endless Dreams were once innocent people who irrevocably changed into eldritch deities thanks to the selfish, destructive ambitions of others, driving them insane. However, Endless Dreams chose to stay heroic despite the bad hoof she was dealt, and sees mortal sapientkind as small yet powerful, creative, and intelligent creatures. Varázsló, on the other hand, chose to become a punisher of the wicked and delights in inflicting existential dread onto the damned shades in his hell-fief, making them see they're only gnats in the grand scheme of things. Despite their differences, they became friends due to how similar they are, which is what Golden Scepter intended so Varázsló can snap out of his obsession with improving his own life via chronal/dimensional experiments.
  • Heavenly Blue: She had dark blue fur when she was a mortal Earth Pony. She ends up becoming an eldritch Pony goddess by overpowering and assimilating an Abyssal One into herself, stopping a cult's plans to let it loose into the real world through a living vessel (namely her) completely in its tracks.
  • Heroic Willpower: This is what led to her Ascending to godhood and being named "the Horror Eater". Despite being captured by the Cult of Ymlezt'xix and turned into a vessel for their titular god, she remembered Starlight's words and actively fought against her possessor through sheer force of will, leading to her killing and absorbing Ymlezt'xix's divine essence.
    Ymlezt'xix: YoU aRe ItS nOw.
    Dr. Endless Dreams: No...
Ymlezt'xix: YoU cAnnOt rEsIsT. YoUr mInD cAnNot cOmPrEhEnD uS.
Dr. Endless Dreams: What about my will?
    Ymlezt'xix: wHaT?
Dr. Endless Dreams: I don't need to comprehend it! I just need to not give into it! I will not break...
    Ymlezt'xix: s-StOp!
Dr. Endless Dreams: I... am... in... CONTROL!
  • Horrifying Hero: After Ascending to eldritch godhood, Endless Dreams took advantage of this by becoming a superhero like she always wanted. Unfortunately, being an eldritch goddess meant she often traumatized the criminals she was supposed to stop — either by showing them her true form or (accidentally) subjecting them to her rather horrifying Lovecraftian Superpowers. One incident caused a group of bank-robbing supervillains to fear her so much that they immediately surrendered the next time she showed up, all to avoid a potential Fate Worse than Death.
  • Humans Are Insects: A positive example. While Endless Dreams does see mortals as equal to ants, she clairifies that it's because of all the good qualities ants share with mortalkind, like their determination, potential, adaptability, and resilence. While insignificant individually, mortals perform far greater feats when working together. And like ants, when faced with danger and hardships, mortals would do everything to resolve them — up to killing wicked deities and other ancient evils like she herself did in her mortal youth. Unlike many higher beings who compare mortals to ants because they are contemptuous or apathetic towards lesser lifeforms, she genuinely encourages mortals to be more like ants because if they do, there is absolutely nothing they can't accomplish together.
Dr. Endless Dreams: Do you know what I think you all are like? Insects. Ants, specifically. But before you get pissed off about me 'looking down on you' because I'm a cosmic horror, let me tell you for the record that I am giving out a sincere compliment. In terms of scale, you Ponies really are ants to me now, and since becoming this, I learn that there are a LOT of things out there who are the same as I am, and see you the same way I do. But where they might demean you or just not care, that's PRECISELY why I love you guys so much.

Ants are small, but there are so, so many of them. Each one of them are frail and insignificant by themselves, but when they get together, they can do things like build hives big as mountains (proportionally) and create mega-colonies that span the globe. Ants had been around for hundreds of millions of years, and where many great civilizations and beings come and go like the seasons, Ants as a whole freaking ENDURED for aeons. Ants are all paradoxical-like: they are unchanging like mountains, but also adaptive like flowing water. They are frail like dry leaves, but more resilient than solid steel. They look weak, but even a single ant can lift up thing so heavy, it's like a Pony lifting up a train engine by themselves! You can seal them up in a glass box like those terrariums, but they'll find a way to break out eventually - there's no way you could ever keep them down.

In short: Ants. Are. AMAZING, whether people know that or not. And here's the thing some Ponies don't always remember: you can crush a hundred under-hoof with every step, but there are always thousands more, and all of them can bite or sting. And if you're unlucky, one bite or sting may be all it takes to kill even a Pony. Just ask any-pony who barely survived being bitten by a Bullet Ant, or a Bulldog Ant.

Remember that every time you feel like insects before the likes of us: That isn't a bad thing. Ants were around before Ponies did and they might be around long after you guys leave the planet. Same applies to you even to us: whole races of mortals had outlived entire pantheons, and like Bullets and Bulldog Ants, mere mortals have beaten ancient evils far more powerful than they are. Even I was an Ant like you are when I faced that eldritch god from beyond time and space... and I ate it and took its place. And I am not the only example around. If we can do it, why can't you?

You guys may be like Ants, but that's what makes you great, not pitiful. Learn more about those little critters when you have the time: if you guys can act more like Ants, working together, never giving up, fighting for the greater good, then there's nothing - NOTHING - that you cannot accomplish!
  • Humans Are Special: This is what her speech about ants essentially amounts to. While mortals may be insignificant in the grand scheme of things, they have tremendous potential, the ability to adapt to any kind of situation no matter how horrible, and are so determined to survive that they refuse to give up even when threatened with extinction by Jerkass Gods who could easily crush them underhoof. And like ants, even a single mortal can transcend their own limitations and earn godhood like she did. If anything, she wants mortalkind to be like ants because they could achieve all sorts of great things if they just put their differences aside and work together.
  • Intangibility: As a goddess of Quantum Mechanics, she possesses the ability to phase through objects.
  • Kindhearted Cat Lover: She has at least two cats, one of which is a "Void Kitten" named Mr. Shadow, who is literally a kitten made of nothingness. He otherwise acts exactly like a normal cat.
  • Lovecraftian Superpower: Both as a superhero and goddess, many of her powers come off as this as a direct result of taking out and assimilating an eldritch god. These range from sprouting Combat Tentacles all over her body (including her mouth), duplicating herself via quantum-mechanics manipulation to trapping her foes in other dimensions, although she doesn't like doing some of them unless absolutely necessary.
  • Medium Awareness: Due to being able to perceive reality and dimensions normal sapient beings can't, she's also aware of the Fourth Wall and the readers.
  • No Mouth: One of the unnerving things about her true divine form is that she now lacks a mouth, yet can still open her mouth as if she always had one.
  • Pro-Human Transhuman: It is clear and undeniable that after overpowering and assimilating Ymlezt'xix that she is no longer Pony in both mind and body. Even so, she remained a fundamentally heroic and benevolent entity for her former species, both as a superhero in the 'Second Age' and a goddess during that time and afterwards.
  • Reality Warper: Her portfolio gives her abilities of this nature, though Discord is still stronger than she is. Her Dreams domain allows her to travel through the dream realm and create and alter dreams. Her Dimensions domain allows her to interact with dimensions and other planes of existence adjacent to Equus, making her a living version of the dimension-viewing glasses owned by Shady of Paradise Estate. She could also trap people in dimensions and 'hypercubes', but generally doesn't like doing so. Her Quantum Mechanics domain gives her Intangibility, 'quantum tunneling', object transmutation, and the ability to create 'quantum copies', though using the latter always causes her to suffer Which Me? for a while until she remembers who she is.
  • Self-Duplication: As a goddess of Quantum Mechanics, she can create temporary "quantum copies" of herself. However, she admits she doesn't like using this power because she always forgets whether she's the original or merely a copy whenever she does, which leads to her freaking out until she remembers.
  • A Shared Suffering: [WIP]
  • Sickly Child Grew Up Strong: Since fillyhood, she was rather sickly and weak, which would have cut short any aspirations she had of becoming a superheroine like her idol, Starlight. However, thanks to Starlight's encouragement, she worked around her sickly condition by using her intelligence to create gadgets, which she used to become a superheroine and fight crime in her local area. Then she was captured by a sinister cult that chose her to become the living vessel of Ymlezt'xix, the Abyssal One they worshiped. Remembering Starlight's words, she mentally fought back and overpowered Ymlezt'xix via Heroic Willpower, killing the Abyssal One and absorbing both their essence and power. She is presently an eldritch goddess with the power to warp and influence dreams, dimensions, and quantum physics, no longer burdened by her physical infirmity, though her Eldritch Transformation left her somewhat insane in the process.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: She found a young Joyous Freedom, suffering from both a treatable illness and Abusive Parents who saw her as an obstacle to their own pleasures, and rescued her so the filly could receive much-needed medical treatment. This kicked off a series events that would lead to Joyous Freedom saving the universe from a powerful Demon seeking to earn godhood by devouring her, and becoming an Pony Demon goddess in the process.
  • Superhero Gods: Having been born and ascended in the 'Great Wars Era' of the 'Second Age', Endless Dreams would as a benevolent eldritch goddess use her powers to fight crime and battle evil. Her nature as a cosmic horror superhero proved to be so terrifying and traumatic to many criminals and villains many surrendered immediately or ran like hell whenever she shows up.
  • Thinking Up Portals: Endless Dreams can conjure portals which could allow her to access/travel to other planes, realities and universes, or put/throw stuff and beings through those portals to those other locations. Just ask how she dealt with that recalcitrant head-priest of the cult worshipping her and woke her up in the 'Fourth Age'.
  • Trapped in Another World: As a goddess of Dimensions, she has the power to trap people in alternate dimensions, though she can rescue people from them as well.
    • In one incident, she was woken up in the Fourth Age by the chief-priest of a cult whose members assumed they could use her to shatter the minds of their enemies. Fed up with the chief-priest constantly pressuring her to act like a "proper" eldritch horror, she punished him by dragging him into her throat, which served as a portal for a dimension full of sapient, singing flowers where he was put in "time-out".
    • During the "Null Crisis", she was among many heroic eldritch deities who helped free countless innocents from the Rooms by breaking the walls that ensured the dimensional isolation. This also helped Death deities in retrieving the souls of those who died in the Rooms, as many of them lacked dimensional powers themselves.
Abyssinian scholar: AAAAAH! W-Who are you?!
Dr. Endless Dreams: A friend. It's time to take you home.
  • Which Me?: The main problem with creating "quantum copies" of herself is that she'll always end up struggling to remember if she's the original or another copy, causing her to freak out until she remembers. This is why she doesn't like using this power very often.
  • You Cannot Grasp the True Form: Being an eldritch goddess who became that way by overpowering and assimilating an Abyssal One into herself, her true divine form is nigh-incomprehensible to the point where even looking at her has driven people insane, or at least caused them to feel existential dread. This has caused Codex Equus researchers to compare her to the Grand Primevals, who are similarly eldritch in form. In one incident, a military research organization tried to trap and bind her into becoming their personal weapon for their own nefarious goals, but failed utterly because they happened to summon her while she was showering, driving them insane from looking at her "naked" body. Crazy Ant of Machina even warns against interacting with eldritch beings like her without taking proper safety measures.
Grand Overseer Crazy Ant: And that, grubs and hatchlings, is why you don't fiddle with strange dimensions or ask strange beings there out for a date without your standard-issued Perception Filters!
