Commented out a slew of Zero Context Examples. (It doesn't matter how many times you just say "Zorro" or "Batman," it still doesn't give any information to readers not familiar with them).
- Kaiketsu Zorro
- Batman in Batman Gotham Knight.
- Karas, which has some resemblance to Batman.
- The Spirit
- V, swishy black cape and all.
- Spawn. He pulls the trope description off several times, for one.
- Zorro.
- Daredevil, who is in many ways the closest Marvel analogue to Batman.
- Black Panther.
- The Revenant in PS238.
- The Confessor from Astro City.
- Cloak. Which is to be expected from someone whose name is almost a synonym for this trope.
- The Terror from Alan Moore's Tom Strong.
- Halle Berry's best-forgotten portrayal of Catwoman as an Anti-Hero.
- Zorro
- Batman
- Big Daddy from Kick-Ass.
- The Shadow, which is the other candidate for Trope Maker of the modern version of this trope.
- Pulp magazine characters inspired by The Shadow:
- The Spider
- The Phantom Detective
- The Avenger.
- Dr. Coffin
- Zorro, who was a main influence to the creation of Batman.
- Blackwolf.
- Stealth from Ex-Heroes.
- Zorro
- Batman
- The Daring Dragoon, being pretty heavily based on Zorro after all.
- John Reese of Person Of Interest.
- Zorro
- Batman
- Garrett from the Thief series.
- Lego Batman
- Tombstone in Freedom Force.
- There was a Zorro game as well.
- Yuri Lowell in ''Tales of Vesperia'.
- Batman in The Joker Blogs.
- Warden from the ASH Universe.

Okay, what's the thinking behind putting the Doctor on the list, because to me, he doesn't seem to fit at all.

Does this have to be superheroes only? Because this trope really reminds me of Wraith Squadron (with Rogue Squadron being The Cape)
