openChange format, move page? Live Action TV
Stargate Origins was originally a ten-episode miniseries, but it has since been recut into a 2-hour movie titled "Stargate Origins: Catherine" and it's no longer possible to view the original miniseries format, so should we move the page to Film.Stargate Origins Catherine?
openConviction By Contradiction - examples lost during alphabetizing
Somebody recently alphabetized the Live Action Television folder of Conviction by Contradiction. The problem is that some examples for Monk were lost and the user didn't give a reason for removing them. Do I have clearance to readd them?
You can see them here.
openMore character bashing
So I made an ATT post before here about a Troper who was character-bashing Negan from The Walking Dead and being rude to other editors in their edit reasons. The troper was sent a notifier and that was the last thing mentioned on the thread.
The ATT entry is almost a year old now, and though youngt806 stopped editing for a good couple of months, earlier this year they have continued the pattern. And it is MUCH worse.
Apologies for the HUUUUGE wall of text.
"It is wrong to say that the Saviors hadn't done anything to Rick's group, the Saviors had already threatened Alexandria when a group of them confronted Daryl, Sasha, and Abraham (and it was only a matter of time before Negan and the Saviors foubd Alexandria anyway) AND the fact that the Saviors that were killed at the Satellite Outpost have been running around killing innocent people this entire time so they deserved it. In addition to being completely wrong, Carl wouldn't have even gone to the Sanctuary in the first place if Negan wasn't willing people in the first place. I know none of you probably want to hear this, but Negan isn't a poor precious little angel who never did anything wrong. This may be hard for you to believe, but not everyone kisses Negan's a** like y'all do."
"So there are a few things wrong with this: a) for someone who "does his damnedest to avoid hurting kids" he sure didn't have a problem trying to kill Carl, making threats about killing Carl, using Carl to terrorize Rick, and making Rick cut his hand off. And he sure didn't hesitate using his implied threat of killing Judy to make Carl do what he wanted when he was in Alexandria b) Tell me the exact scene where he was concerned for Gracie. c) Negan barely even gave Simon a slap on the wrist for murdering Oceanside's children. If negan was furious and really cared don't you think he'd kill Simon to make sure he didn't do it again or punish him worse that he did??? d) For someone who was "saddened" he sure was ready to kill him like a week before in canon e) Negan's so called friendship with Judith and Lydia is really creepy and and exploitive, he's gaining sympathy and compassion from them due to their (for lack of a better word) nativity about his actions. I doubt they'd like him if they knew about him intentionally creating a system that exploits women and Tina was just 2 years older than Lydia when Negan wanted her to be one of his wives f) Negan's friendship with Lydia is just the result of really writing (for the reason above and the following). Do you really believe that an ENTIRE community of people are going to treat Lydia the way they did. Don't you think it is weird that Alden, an ex savior who literally wouldn't shut up about not wanting to he held accountable for the stuff the other Saviors did was holding Lydia accountable for the Pike Deaths????????? Don't you think it is weird that the Alexandrians welcomed the Saviors into Alexandria after they were killing their loved ones but treated Lydia the way they did????? Do you really think Daryl and Aaron (who considered themselves outsiders) would just ¯_ (ツ)_/¯ when they saw how Lydia was being treated??? How do so many people believe this writing???? Negan's "friendship" with Lydia doesn't mean anything because it doesn't make sense."
"jesus fucking christ you guys if negan is going to try to justify his actions by saying "this is how america was built" he better be ready to receive criticism about it. that's not a good justification for anything. aaron callong negan out on his be wasn't a "below-the- belt" attack, he was using negan's own logic against him. and even if you do consider that mean, it doesn't compare anything to negan terrorizing and killing innocent people. and as far as negan saving aaron, it was NEGAN'S fault aaron was in danger.negan waited until the last second to warn him about walkers he CLEARLY saw and knew had hogweed growing in them all because negan was butthurt over (rightfully) being called out on his bullshit i"
"Aaron rightfully calling negan out on his bs isn't him being a jerkass. negan had literally just tried to justify his actions by saying "that was how america was built" which isnt a good justification for anything. DOES THAT REALLY SOUND REMORSEFUL TO YOU?????????????? He STILL thinks he was right. But besides that, Negan waited until the last second to warn Aaron about the walkers he KNEW were covered in a plant that could call blindness because he was upset Aaron was calling him on his bs and using his own logic against him. And Negan saving aaron from that walker in the house doesn't mean anything because it was NEGAN'S fault aaron was blinded in the first place. However mean you think Aaron was to Negan doesn't compare to the things Negan has done.Negan saving Judith and Lydia means absolutely nothing because a) their friendship wuth him is the result if shitty writing and negan's friendship with them is based on the fact that they they don't know everything he did. do you really think they know about him intentionally creating a system that exploits women and what ge was doing with his wives??. b) saving children is something almost EVERYONE in the world would do and shouldn't be praised c) doesn't make up for everything else he did, and b) they're are other characters who have saved children abd that sure af doesn't stop the fandom from bringing up slightly problematic (though not near as bad as the stuff negan did) things they didn't"
Aaaaand on this page we have yet another instance of a very snarky "Fixed it for you!"
Edited by iamconstantineopenFan Work and New Media preservation
Quite frankly, I'm getting tired of having to remove content for inaccessibility of the original work, which is especially the case for new media and fan work stuff. So I think we ought to start a long-term project to preserve such content to prevent us from having to do so in the future.
What say you guys?

Found its Characters page in my daily check of Main. You Tube wicks, since those aren't supposed to happen.
Cutting it all would solve all my problems.
YouTube has 8 / 4 wicks that are required to stay.

What exactly is the difference between Nausea Fuel and Squick? They’re both related to disgusting things that cause a repulsive reaction, but I’m unsure of the difference otherwise.
Edited by jandn2014openCan So Bad, It’s Horrible be listed as a trope if it’s In-Universe?
This is on The Onion:
- So Bad It's Horrible - Music: In-Universe with "Man Just Going To Grab Guitar And Old Four-Track, Go Out To Cabin In Woods, Make Shittiest Album Anyone's Ever Heard" and "No One Admits To Singing, Writing, Producing Nation's No. 1 Song".
Is So Bad, It's Horrible allowed to be used in a context like this?

Hello. I am trying to make an trope able to link to it's original page. Can you help me? Thank you
openTwo pages created, several questions
Just created a Creator Page and Fanfic Page for an author and work. Questions:
1. I created the latter off the Red Link Page, which is one suggestion for doing this in the instructions. It got the title of "Fan Works/Red Link," and the only option I saw was to do a Custom Wiki Word request for a title change. Link:
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/FanWorks/RedLink
Presumably I'll need to wait for someone to approve it? Did I do this right? If I should do it differently, could someone let me know? It should be ready to go otherwise.
2. Essentially, the same thing happened when I created the Creator Page. It is currently titled "Bolt_DMC," and I understand I need to do a Custom Wiki Word request for a creator name change to Bolt_DMC. Link:
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Creator/BoltDMC
Presumably I'll need to wait for someone to approve it? Did I do this right? If I should do it differently, could someone let me know? It should be ready to go otherwise. I've already indexed the page as well, hopefully that's the right thing to do.
3. Any estimates as to how long it usually takes for approvals? Just curious.
4. How long does material stay in my Sandbox Page? Does it get automatically deleted at some point? Once my two pages are ready to go, should I delete material in it? Is there a way to hide it, or should I even do that?
Also, if anyone has criticisms about the pages I've created, I'm fine with getting feedback. Either a reply to this post or a PM is fine.
Thanks!

openPotential issues with COVID-19 page
I was just made aware of the page UsefulNotes.Coronavirus Disease 2019 Pandemic. I do think it's worth having a page for the outbreak given the immense impact it's had on media and culture, but I can already identify some potential problems cropping up. The most obvious is some blatant fearmongering added on April 3rd by user Fogsgse, in which the article concludes with:
"Compare: The Black Death, The Spanish Flu."
While the outbreak is far from over the current death toll and number of cases is a minuscule fraction of the numbers from either of those disease outbreaks (being charitable, we're at about 3% of the fatality and infection levels of the latter, and less than 1% of the former). Fogsgse made similar edits to those pages adding the current outbreak as something to "compare" to.
There might be further issues in the page, but it currently clocks in at 14 paragraphs and 2,964 words, not counting [[note]] markups, with two particularly dense paragraphs clocking in at over 500 words, again not counting [[note]] markups, so actually dissecting the whole thing for more problems will take more time than I have on my hands at the moment. Frankly the sheer length is a problem of its own.
On a more nitpicky note, the current title of the page is somewhat clunky from a grammatical and contextual standpoint, in my opinion, especially given that the outbreak began at the very end of 2019 and has mostly taken place in 2020.

openPage Rename Requests?
I should probably know this by now, but where should I go for page rename requests?
For anyone curious, at the moment I'm looking to put in a request for Characters.Star Wars Saw Gerreras Partisans to be renamed to Characters.Star Wars The Partisans — the current name was a provisional one from back when the group didn't seem to have an official name; it's long since been confirmed that the group's actual name is "The Partisans" and the page reflects that. As a characters page it only has 15 wicks so it should be a relatively easy change.

openEdit War Film
On the 6th of May, Kelvin G added the following to Trivia. The Last Jedi:
- Dear Negative Reader: Johnson took several potshots at fans, from calling them misogynistic manbabies to posing with a placard reading, “Your Snoke theory sucks!”.
- From Entertainment to Education: Inverted. This film is used as an example on how NOT to write a script.
Both were removed by Constanton 11, only for Kelvin G to re-add them today.
Take a shot every time you see one of these reports...
YSSMIAT31 has only recently caught my attention, but they're a prolific editor. They've also made enough problems in the past few days for me to send them three notifiers in a short time, so at this point I feel like it's worth reporting on.
They seem to have issues with context, with even their more decent examples still being skimpy on the details. Just now in checking their edits for problems, I've noticed some grammar concerns. Indentation is also an issue, apparently.
While a lot of their edits seem fine, they edit so often that all of these problems came from just the edits they made in the past 2-3 days, which is concerning.
