This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.
NOTE: Edited with OP's permission.

If you want to re-write it to be less negative, I'd be happy to put it there.
Did Unusual Euphemism and Fan Nickname. Idiot Ball was already on the page. That's misuse of Schmuck Bait.
When I said it was locked, you had the page edit locked because you were editing it. It remains locked for 20 minutes, or until you hit cancel or save. No one else can edit during that time. Well, actually, a mod can override the lock, but we don't unless there's an overriding need to.
EDIT: Oh, and please use edit reasons when you delete things. Communication is a good thing and prevents edit wars.

Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.Thank you for the clarification. I appreciate that.
As for the article itself, is it just me, or am I noticing things I didn't before?
- Ye Olde Butcherede Englishe: The archaisms in the books are often used incorrectly. An example would be Orik saying "mine King, Hrothgar." "Mine" is only used before vowels. Characters also use "thou" and "you" within the same sentence. This may be a stylistic decision on Paolini's part, though some (especially those who know a bit about old English) feel that it breaks the Willing Suspensionof Disbelief.
At this point, I won't be surprised if I find even more I dodn't notice the last time.
That's not how you leave an edit reason. ^^; There's a little text box that has this above it:
Please be cool when you edit. Rudeness is not cool.
Enter your reason there.
Did that one.
Try to gather up the rest in one post if you find more.

Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.I was browsing through the edit history for The Fundamentalist and came across this which was deleted.
It can pollute natural sciences. If a scientist has built his entire career backing a particular theory, he's not going to take it well when that theory is proven wrong in an experiment. Science has in some cases been set back decades by the efforts of Fundamentalists, of both the religious and scientific flavors.
If it fits can it be edited back in?
Currently reading up My Rule Fu Is Stronger than YoursTropes aren't about real people. While I agree with the sentiment, it has no place in a wiki about fiction.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I've been going through and fixing namespaces/redirects for Black Butler. Specifically going through pages listing it by its Japanese name Kuroshitsuji and replacing it with BB. I've gotten it on all but one page: Sex Slave. The Edit desired is as follows:
''{{Kuroshitsuji}} II'' to ''[[Manga/BlackButler Black Butler II]]''
Thank you in advance.
Another Complete Monster candidate for deletion: Tamir from Assassins Creed, because he is a Well-Intentioned Extremist which by definition, can NEVER be a CM.
- Tamir, also from the first game. He seemed proud of the countless lives taken by his blades. Even during his assassination, he mercilessly stabs an innocent man to death.
Can he be removed? He is no Video Games
This one may have to wait for Eddie, but on the new, kinder, gentler Editing Suspension page [1], there seems to be a typo.
In the second paragraph, first sentence, it says "...from continuing in way...". I'm pretty sure that should be "continuing in a way".
I wasn't sure if this or Tech Wishlist/Bug Reports was the best place to post.
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Might this fit The Fundamentalist?
- Sunday Funday is about a little boy trying to get to Sunday School, and all manner of adults trying to kill him. The Angry Video Game Nerd pointed out the extremism of these atheists resorting to murder in order to prevent religion being taught.
Is that some sort of parody? And which medium category does it fit under?

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"It's an NES game that was reviewed by the Angry Video Game Nerd as part of one of his Bible Games episodes.
It should probably go in "WebVideo/" (or whatever namespace the AVGN is under), since it's really him mocking the game for apparently being about hard-core atheists trying to stop a kid from going to Sunday School.

I'm not sure I get it — is the example about the AVGN calling it an example of The Fundamentalist, or is it about the game actually containing said example? Do we have a cross-wick that I can examine?
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"It's about the AVGN calling the enemies examples of this.
Sunday Funday is a "mock- Christian-ized" version of an earlier game called Menace Beach that was basically a new name and some palette swaps. I'll see if there's a cross-wick on the AVGN page (which there does not appear to be).
I can try to find the episode of AVGN if I need to.
Link to AVGN episode. Starts about 8:25 in.

I would like the rec for DDRMANIAC 007's Let's Play of Demonophobia removed from the Let's Play page. Considering that it's a cut work that is very likely not coming back to this wiki, I don't see any reason to keep it.

I agree. Removed.
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.On the Fanfic Recommendations main page, Code Geass and then Code Geass Lelouch Of The Rebellion are listed, even though the second title is an alternate name for the show and just links back to the Code Geass fanfic rec page. Can the second link be removed?
♥ ♦ ♠ ♣The Legend of Korra's ptitle recursively redirects to another redirect (the international title) rather than WesternAnimation/TheLegendOfKorra. Can this be fixed?
On Sunday Funday, here is the AVGN video in question.

You might actually like to start from here where James Rolfe explains how Color Dreams remade their old games into Christian titles under the name Wisdom Tree.

And this is the atheist comment for Sunday Funday.

This might read better.
Video Games
- Sunday Funday is a video game made by Wisdom Tree and is a Christian remake of the game Menace Beach and was the last NES game ever released in 1995. It's about a little boy trying to get to Sunday School, and all manner of adults trying to kill him. The Angry Video Game Nerd pointed out the extremism of these atheists resorting to murder in order to prevent religion being taught. However we can also reason that the developers also have some fundamentalism in them in portraying anti religion in such a way.
Edit: The reason for the page being locked in the first place is because of an obsession over whether or not atheists are mentioned as fundamentalist. As I understand it it's less a case of an atheist being fanatical because of a fundamental dogma they believe in and more a case of that particular atheist frankly being an asshole. To extend the olive branch could someone have a look at the page and if atheists do not fit could it be removed?

Currently reading up My Rule Fu Is Stronger than YoursOn Main.Fanfic Recommendations, there's a redlink FanFicRec.Mega Crossover which looks like it's supposed to be FanficRecs.Mega Crossover.
The formatting for Saya no Uta's quote needs to be fixed.
Perhaps you want Hollywood Atheist?
Atheists are definitely not fundamentalists.

Rhymes with "Protracted."For Nightmare Fuel, to go along with the "Personal examples are Troper Tales and do not belong here", given that the Real Life section has been cut, there should be a No Real Life Examples Please with a brief tidbit of acknowledgement that real-life fears exist.
I now go by Graf von Tirol. Can this line be added to My Immortal?
- In-Series Nickname: Several characters are given "goffic" nicknames. Harry is "Vampire", Hermione is "B'loody Mary", Ron is "Diabolo", Neville is "Dracola", etc.
It was just what was on there. It can be left out if you wish.
