During the investigation of recent hollers in the Complete Monster thread, it's become apparent to the staff that an insular, unfriendly culture has evolved in the Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard threads that is causing problems.
Specific issues include:
- Overzealous hollers on tropers who come into the threads without being familiar with all the rules and traditions of the tropes. And when they are familiar with said rules and traditions, they get accused (with little evidence) of being ban evaders.
- A few tropers in the thread habitually engage in snotty, impolite mini-modding. There are also regular complaints about excessive, offtopic "socializing" posts.
- Many many thread regulars barely post/edit anywhere else, making the threads look like they are divorced from the rest of TV Tropes.
- Following that, there are often complaints about the threads and their regulars violating wiki rules, such as on indexing, crosswicking, example context and example categorization. Some folks are working on resolving the issues, but...
- Often moderator action against thread regulars leads to a lot of participants suddenly showing up in the moderation threads to protest and speak on their behalf, like a clique.
It is not a super high level problem, but it has been going on for years and we cannot ignore it any longer. There will be a thread in Wiki Talk to discuss the problem; in the meantime there is a moratorium on further Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard example discussion until we have gotten this sorted out.
Update: The new threads have been made and can be found here:
Please see the Frequently Asked Questions and Common Requests List before suggesting any new entries for this trope.
IMPORTANT: To avoid a holler to the mods, please see here for the earliest date a work can be discussed, (usually two weeks from the US release), as well as who's reserved discussion.
When voting, you must specify the candidate(s). No blanket votes (i.e. " to everyone I missed").
No plagiarism: It's fair to source things, but an effortpost must be your own work and not lifted wholesale from another source.
We don't care what other sites think about a character being a Complete Monster. We judge this trope by our own criteria. Repeatedly attempting to bring up other sites will earn a suspension.
What is the Work
Here you briefly describe the work in question and explain any important setting details. Don't assume that everyone is familiar with the work in question.
Who is the Candidate and What have they Done?
This will be the main portion of the Effort Post. Here you list all of the crimes committed by the candidate. For candidates with longer rap sheets, keep the list to their most important and heinous crimes, we don't need to hear about every time they decide to do something minor or petty.
Do they have any Mitigating Factors or Freudian Excuse?
Here you discuss any potential redeeming or sympathetic features the character has, the character's Freudian Excuse if they have one, as well as any other potential mitigating factors like Offscreen Villainy or questions of moral agency. Try to present these as objectively as possible by presenting any evidence that may support or refute the mitigating factors.
Do they meet the Heinousness Standard?
Here you compare the actions of the Candidate to other character actions in the story in order to determine if they stand out or not. Remember that all characters, not just other villains, contribute to the Heinousness Standard
Final Verdict?
Simply state whether or not you think the character counts or not.

To Uncle Bill.
Us? Is that the second horror movie made by Jorden Peele, AKA the creator of Get Out?
Already saw the film; feel free to PM me after you've finished watching the film, Beast.
Totally offtopic. But Austin? You're from a spanish speaking zone or the Ayuwoki had also reach English speaking places?
Watch me destroying my countryThe latter.
Bill
Since I've gotten second opnions.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."- The Killing of Satan: The Prince of Magic is Satan's top lieutenant on Earth, supervising a cult of Human Sacrifice so severe that it makes their mountain lair bleed. He is first seen confronting Miguel, a powerful hero out to stop him, and mortally wounding him. After learning that Miguel's nephew Lando has gained the power to stop the Prince, he kidnaps Lando's teenage daughter to marry her off to Satan, but not before molesting her himself. When he captures said daughter, he locks her in a deadly cage full of other women he's forcibly brainwashed into his cult via torture and rape. When Lando comes to rescue her, the Prince hinders him by having his sidekick's face ripped off by one of his loved ones, making her chest explode when she's of no further use to him.
@Kazuya GloomyHouse did a video on Ayuwoki. Momo wasn't enough.
So what with 4 comic examples, 3 game examples, and the 2 films, I think I can create a Silent Hill page next week. Crow has a good quote; anyone got a good image?
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsHaving both read and watched AgK I have no issue with Bill going up.
Waiting for Polar to give us an idea. Also, quick rewrite to Orphan!Alessa.
- Orphan trilogy: Alessa is a malicious spirit haunting Silent Hill, possessing none of her original counterpart's tragic backstory and being responsible for the deaths of several playable characters. Growing up hating the orphanage she lived in, Alessa possessed her sister, Karen, and committed a massacre that took the lives of numerous children, purely out of spite and to "awake". Thirty years later, Alessa resurfaces to kill those who survived. After killing two of the survivors, Alessa enlists the help of a revived victim to stop Karen from ruining her plans and later sends the man who had killed their parents, Vincent, to destroy the rest of her, but not before convincing the last survivor, Emilie, to stab herself with a knife. Successfully eliminating Karen, Alessa gives Vincent a heart attack, as he was not useful to her anymore.

Got Edward Coventry's write-up done after stalling for a while.
The Order: Edward Coventry, despite his charismatic and affable nature, is really an ambitious sorcerer willing to do anything to gain ultimate power. As leader of the Hermetic Order of the Blue Rose, Edward used his own members as he saw fit, treating them like disposable pawns in order to achieve his goals. When Edward learns that he may be able to construct the Vade Maecum Infernal and earn god-like powers, he forces the Order to focus solely on finding the book's pages, ignoring how dangerous it could be to create such a book. He has the Order sacrifice a group of civilians, instructs one of his minions to kidnap innocent people so he can turn them into monsters capable of destroying the Knights of Saint Christopher, and attempts to cajole his youngest son into being a sacrifice, similar to his wife. When Vera becomes wary of Edward's plans, he commands Alyssa to murder her just so she can't stop his schemes. Later on, after Edward is nearly finished completing the book, he tries to kill Jack Morton, his other son, and threatens to torture Alyssa if she doesn't watch despite her consistent loyalty to him.
I write stories and shiz. You can read them here. For those curious, we're at 30 so far, and that includes an image and several rewrites.
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsGood Old Uncle Bill. Would think if Akame ga Kill became a big franchise like Devilman or One Piece, we would be getting an Akame ga Kill page sooner or later considering the setting.
You know, I've decided to recheck the CM list for video games, and I notice I have a tendency to skip most entrees that talk about some evil entity. Never really feel interested in these types of villains.
"Are you the devil?" "Don't compare to me to those small fry" - MirThe main issue with Akame ga Kill is the heinous standard is seriously over-the-top. You really have to stand out in that franchise to count.
I write stories and shiz. You can read them here.Yeah, I mean, look at who we got: the Big Bad, Overlord Jr., a serial child rapist, and someone who experiments on children.
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsOh, I ain't going to give a Silent Hill image.
I just don't want that dumb looking drill thing up on the page.

And now...
- The Invisibles: Colonel Friday is an influential US Air Force commander who moonlights as a member of the Outer Church, a secret society that schemes to bring the Archons, all-powerful demons of absolute order, to Earth. In charge of the Church's operations in the United States, Friday masterminds numerous schemes to eradicate all except absolute conformity in humans, in accordance with his masters' dogma. He participates in an attempted genocide of the LGBT community by means of germ warfare, even withholding the cure for AIDS from the population in his base, has experimented to create misshapen, agonized human-animal hybrids, invented a psychological torture machine that projects its victims' worst fear, and has imprisoned and tortured mysterious godlike being who pain causes disasters among humanity. Friday is also entirely aware of exactly what his masters attempt to do to humanity and gleefully aids them nonetheless.

The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Oh god.
I just realised.
Almost every CM in Silent Hill is from something I hate.
Like, of my direct knowledge the only thing with a CM I like is Silent Hill 1 with Dahlia.
I can't be reasonably objective. Consider me a permanent abstain on image picking.
Also, wait, one of those comics turned ALESSA into a CM?
The point's flying over the writer's head so far it's about to run into the Burj Khalifa.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."To ACW:
I will post my CM write-ups in the end of the month. Meanwhile, add Uncle Bill to the Pending write ups list.
Watch me destroying my countrySeason 1 of Deadly Class just ended. Has anybody called dibs yet?

Alessa is a CM only in Orphan, which is a trilogy of non-canon spinoff games.
