Jabbering about the Featured Trope

Yeah, even Easter Episode as that was launched only recently and has under 100 wicks.

Even in the case of Leap Day, we'd realistically only need to use it every four years, which isn't repetitive at all.

Anyway maybe something Star Wars-related for May 4th? Maybe Luke, I Am Your Father?

That one is at 4000+ and I don't remember it being used... I suppose it works.

Mother's Day for most countries falls on May 8th this year. I nominate Almighty Mom for it, as it only has 446 wicks but is a positive trope about moms. And for May Day tomorrow, maybe Working Class Anthem? Would need a photo ASAP, however. Or put it as American/Canadian Labor Day. It could use some wicks, 'cause it's only at 30!

Why not use a riff off that like Luke, I Might Be Your Father for May 4th? I think it would be funny, plus it'd shine the spotlight on a smaller trope.

Mine happened a year or so back with Colorblind Mode. Honestly, when you have at least ten decent tropes, one of them is going to get featured eventually.

I have been adding a lot of tropes that are at least 2 years old and have less than 100-500 wicks to the Featured tropes queue. I thought I'd run out but apparently there's a quite a few tropes like that.

New tropes tend to grow slower than older tropes due because they get less exposure and haven't become as well-known. That's not to say they can't reach like 200+ wicks in this time... it's just ucnommon.

Is J'accuse! an actual trope or it's just a thing people say sometimes?

I figured someone would ask about—I think it's not much more than a stock phrase. It's just people saying the phrase.

For such an obvious concept, I'm surprised on the lack of examples with Unbreakable Bones.

It feels like one of those things that I don't even make mental note of because it's so common.

Agreed, so we can't at all fault them (and honestly the trope picked today is still good and things don't get too repetitive if we get different tropes on similar days). Still, today is the 10th anniversary, so I think it would have been very much justified.

Maybe feature YouTube Kids' Channel sometime in 2023, as that'd be the 10th anniversary of when these channels have gotten infamous.
