I am surprised that there hasn't been a stable WMG/WMG cleanup thread yet.
Here we look at the entries at WMG and make sure it doesn't get too out of control.
- Stealth complaning and Creator Bashing. Enough said.
- NSFW entries. Basically, any entry that contains or panders to bizarre sexual parings or fetishes.
- Entries that purely consist of trolling or out of context memes. WMG is a silly place, but a line has to be drawn somewhere.
- WMG that seems to be based on Content Leaks, or states that it is jossed/confirmed by leaks. We don't trope leaks.
- WMG that veers into Real Life Troping. Creators can potentially have WMG subpages, but they should only focus on the creator's work - and should only be created if the WMG is about works that don't have their own pages. Things like speculation about why a creator left a project don't belong on WMG.
- WMG for episodic works that spoils future instalments. WMG must always be Spoilers Off, but a WMG page that's specifically for the first book in a trilogy shouldn't spoil the other two.

This is a good idea. We might also need to cleanup debates- WMG is the place to share and discuss theories, not to argue over said theories.

WMG.The Emoji Movie definitely needs to be looked at. A lot of the theories are just sbashing the movie or just absurd theories about Real Life. My favorite has to be "Dunkirk fans will join the anti-Emoji Fandom Alliance"

The Order of the Stick has several subpages, included "Jossed Theories" and "Confirmed Theories". Several theories have been duplicated on those pages without removing them from the other pages. There are also theories duplicated on the same page.
The "Jossed" page has some sub-bullets with incorrect justifications, such as "Word Of God says the MitD is something from D&D." [Rich has said the MitD is not something he just made up for the story; not quite the same thing.

Homestar Runner is just... bizarre. The work is basically a cartoon sitcom, with the characters all some flavor of Cloud Cuckoolander, and with varying degrees of Medium Awareness and exploiting said awareness, but the items include saying one particularly detached character is God...
Of course, there are some less out-there items, and I don’t know that there’s any rule against the oddities of the page, but it sure feels out of place among the wiki as a whole in terms of how misrepresentative of the work some items are.

- Nonsensical conspiracy theories and ROCEJ violations (e.g. "The H1N1 virus is a result of Real Life being ported over to being a VideoGame/PandemicII mod.")
- Natter magnet. For example:
- Ridiculous length, including 2 archives

Well, I think we shouldn't have added it. Very little is flame bait or in violation of the ROCEJ, standards for natter are significantly lower on WMG pages from my understanding, and I don't think length alone is a good enough justification. Can it be removed?
How much mass is allowed in WMG? There's one on WMG.Heroes Of The Storm that's always bugged me. It's a list of theorized future characters... which happens to include just about every noteworthy character in World of Warcraft, Diablo, StarCraft, and Overwatch. In fact, it literally lists every Overwatch hero.
It wasn't so bad a few years ago when it was a list of characters with possible leads, but it was slowly added to and is now pretty ridiculous. It's past guessing and more scattershotting.

Should WMG.Michael Jackson be cut? Someone brought it up on the "real person" clean up thread for being just a bunch of conspiracy theories about the person, not his music.

I don't think it's bad to rewrite a popular theory, but it needs to actually be written. Weblinks Are Not Examples, even in WMG.
Another element I have fixed sometimes is spoiler tags misuse. It is fine to hide a spoiler from the actual work, but not something that is entirely part of the WMG.

A question about removal of entries. Should WMG pertaining political figures before 2016 be kept, or should it be removed?

A while ago, it was decided that "meta" Headscratchers are not allowed. An example of a page that was cut for this reason was Headscratchers.Wreck It Ralph Meta.
I wonder if the same is true for WMG.
Here's a list of all the "meta" WMG pages I could find, but I suspect that some of them may be using "meta" diffferently than that thread. Any non-"meta" examples can be moved elsewhere.
