It's not animated, but I always wanted to see the musical RENT as an anime.
Maybe... There are a couple of other names who I also think could pull it off, but they don't come to mind at the moment.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."But seriously though, Sucker Punch would have worked way better as an anime, because it feels weird in live-action.
I randomly remember how Kill Bill Volume 1 had a killer wearing schoolgirl uniform. It didn't look too out of place, mostly because of the whole Yakuza fighting going on in Japanese restaurant.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Avatar and My Little Pony. Also Sandman because it is fact that Death is moe
On a more serious note, Song of Ice and Fire could work as an anime under Ufotable. I also though of MAPPA but only because of the fantasy shows they're working on now. Kill 'em All Tomino could work on it and people might not be able to tell the difference.
Samurai Jack definitely must get an anime. It's set in Japan anyway. More importantly, it deserves to have an ending.
Also, Megas can definitely be handled by Trigger. IIRC, these guys used to be on Gainax and worked on FLCL so a mecha show that runs on Rule of Cool and Rule of Funny is right up their alley.
"If music be the food of love, PLAY ON" - William ShakespeareA Song Of Ice And Fire as an anime by ufotable.
The first volume, maybe, but beyond that it would be dangerous for the staff's health. Consider that the HBO adaptation of the first volume alone is 10 hours long, while most 2 cour animation, excluding the opening and ending, are usually 8 to 9 hours.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. If an Avatar The Last Airbender anime were to be made it would have to be a spin-off focusing on a different Avatar other than Aang or Korra. An anime of either one would be redundant. Unless it were a remake 30 years down the road, with holograms or something, that everyone who watched the original would complain about.
I nominate Warrior Cats , Gunnerkrigg Court , MirrorMask , and The Dark Crystal (Labyrinth works best as it is.)
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.Not sure if they can be dedicated enough to cover all 6 volumes (I honestly don't believe that GRRM can finish the seventh volume while he's alive). This is their only third major anime projects, after all (the first being Kara No Kyoukai and the second Fate Zero).
I suppose that's an advantage. Then again, it's not like that seems to be problematic for HBO series right now, considering they are applying Age Lift where appropriate.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. The Iliad, done in the style of Sengoku Basara.
I also have an idea for The Iliad done as a fantasy mecha series ala Vision Of Escaflowne.
What? Have you people actually read The Iliad?
70% of the thing is basically literary equivalent of Stock Footage, with guys getting stabbed in one of three parts (lung, stomach, throat) and dying while digging at dirt.
...On the other hand, that would make it a perfect anime adaptation...by Fukuda!
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.I kind of want to see Norse Mythology as a comedy anime(the kind that try to adapt from 4koma.) Because when it comes to that, being more accurate only makes it even sillier.
MMORPGs are serious business.Or, Cthulhu Mythos.
Before anyone ask, yes. Yes, I know there is that one.
I'd rather have something less otaku-ish.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Nobilis as done by some high-end studio would be pretty goddamn neat, although I imagine it'd be a nightmare for people to understand. Imagine a more bizarre Kyousogiga and you'd be on the right track. If it focused on high-end miraculous combat, I imagine ufotable would be the studio to go to.
Chuubo's Marvelous Wish-Granting Engine is a derivative of Nobilis, but is more in-line with more contemporary anime that mix the Mundane Fantastic with 'normal' anime settings. I imagine Kyoani or SHAFT would be really awesome for both its laid-back material and some of the more epic stuff, maybe even the Glass-Maker's Dragon campaign. It's basically the Enûma Eliš adapted to the game's aesthetics, so I can just imagine it'd be awesomesauce in animated format. They'd have a lot of freedom to mess around, too, since it's so open-ended.
Watching MLP in Japanese dub is more than enough already...
I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over.Oh, that explains a lot of why fanart of it exists on Pixiv.
MMORPGs are serious business. The Black Magician Trilogy could easily become a shoujo anime, I feel.

i think Batman would make a pretty cool anime—oh wait...
though really. any of the shorts in that movie could be a full-blown series, and i'd watch it. especially "Crossfire," "In Darkness Dwells," and "Deadshot."

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.It shouldn't, and if it is, probably because you are under Fan Myopia.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel....Scott Pilgrim I guess? It's the only thing that comes to mind.
Or maybe Avatar. It's halfway there already.
It's one thing to make a spectacle. It's another to make a difference. To be honest, I think Scott Pilgrim would actually make a pretty good anime as well as very cartoonish cartoon...
So, I had an idea and I can't decide whether it's great or awful. A Midsummer Night's Dream maybe?
No you can't call me Jar(i) I am not a glass containerScanners, of course.
Well, technically nobody said FIM, so it could be a completely different pony series. To which I say sure, why not.

I second Sucker Punch, and Michael Ende. As for latter, stylistically, maybe something alike Ghibli?
