Laconic Description Improvement

For a list of bad laconics, see Sandbox.Pages Needing Better Laconics.

For generally accepted guidelines for laconics, see Sandbox.Laconic Wiki Template.

Today I found out an interesting fact from troper Ironeye:

Don't ever make the mistake of using the Laconic version as the canonical trope meaning—the laconics are often written by people who don't actually understand the drop. In this case, the laconic only corresponds to one possible cause of Darkness-Induced Audience Apathy.

The Laconic Description for DIAA states as follows:

The thing is, these descriptions are supposed to make it easier to understand what the page is about. If they can't be accurate as well as short and sweet, then there's a problem.

So for starters, what would be a better description for DIAA?

[up] [tup] to both, never heard of Triangle Heart 3: Sweet Songs Forever so I'd wait for another's opinion on accuracy.

Minmaxer's Delight is doing the double-laconic thing...

Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.

Because of that, and the fact it neglects details from the unabridged page, I have a suggestion to propose which I believe is an improvement:

A universally useful character/fear/power/advantage option in a game.
Additionally, to fix capitalization errors, the last part will say:
Visit the unabridged version HERE.
EDIT: I just revised this slightly.

Any thoughts on my ideas?

Hmm, "character/fear/power/advantage" is a little clunky to me. I think Character Customization feature (or option) is enough to include all of that concisely.

Bump. If nobody comments I'll put them one by one later and leave a link here in reasons.

I actually already put in that new Laconic in for Saving Christmas, though maybe I should have waited to see if someone else would put in their two cents [lol].

I've got (yet another) Laconic page I want to change, namely Happy Dance, which states:

You found the Laconic entry! Do a little dance to celebrate!
I feel this doesn't do a good job explaining the trope. So, here's my suggestion, which also trims the page:
A dance made when happy.
EDIT: Slight trimming.

The batch is up, so here are new suggestions. Going with more publically known works first.

Non-descriptive and absurd.
A boy who can fly and can't age takes London kids to an island full of adventures.
Non-descriptive.
A girl wants to visit the royal ball, but her abusive step family locks her up. The mice and her Fairy Godmother help her with a magical disguise.
Effectively Recycled In Space.
A Hebrew baby is adopted by the Egyptian royals. Now as an adult he has to choose between his ambitious brother and his enslaved people.
Effectively Recycled In Space.
A lion prince prepares to live in luxury once he becomes the king, but after his Evil Uncle stages a Regicide, he has to mature and set things right.
I have no idea why is it referring to Parks and Recreation, and it could be more descriptive.
A child clownfish is taken by human collectors and his father sets off to ask all over Australian waters for his whereabouts.
X Meets Y.
A cat family inherit their owners's home, but not before thier ambitious butler kicks them out to the French countryside.
Non-descriptive
A girl has to work in a supernatural hotel to save her parents and looks for the owner's weakness.
Non-descriptive
An international spy organization for kids fights teenage and adult supervillains

Maybe say that Cinderella is an "abused" girl or something so that it doesn't just sound like she's been grounded, lol.

Changed to "abusive step family" since it sounds more natural.

Well that get out of the way fast.

Any Resident Evil fans here? While I'm working on the next batch (I've yet to write them), I've found these, but I don't know the stories of them besides the 7th game.

I'm interested in the franchise, however, I haven't gotten into it (i.e. played one of the games, watched one of the flicks, etc.).

Can I revisit the Cinderella quote that's just been changed? The problem with it is that relies explicitly on the Disney version. Unfortunately, that Laconic is shared by three different namespaces: Franchise.Cinderella, Literature.Cinderella and WesternAnimation.Cinderella. The new quote only works for the Disney version. It doesn't work for the Franchise, and it doesn't even work for the literature version (which is the one upon which the Disney film is based).

Can I suggest the following, based on shared elements?

A young woman forced into poverty and servitude is given the chance to improve her circumstances through supernatural aid.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.
