Inspired by this thread, I've noticed that this wiki doesn't have a dedicated cleanup thread for negativity.
As we all know, Complaining About Shows You Don't Like, Creator Bashing and other negativity isn't desired on the wiki, except in a few selected areas like reviews and several Darth Wiki pages (and even then, with limitations). And yet, it's one of the most common sins wiki contributors can make.
So, if you find a page, TLP or discussion whose content seems like a straight-up insult or any other bitching - including complainy soapboxing -, you might ask here for help with removing said content.
The sandbox for this project is located at Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining.

The sarcasm in the description and subcategory descriptions for Classic Video Game "Screw You"s is palpable. Even the name is rather hostile. I think I might need to add it to Tropes Needing TRS, but I want to see what some others think first.
SoundCloudI think whoever wrote this trope was focusing more on having fun snarking about the "Fun Units" than they were on actually, like, defining a trope.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.Yes, I do think it needs to be taken to the TRS.
Recap. The Simpsons S 9 E 3 Lisas Sax and the respective YMMV page seem to have some entries blowing Homer and Marge's actions out of proportion. I would therefore suggest they be looked at.
I took a look at the YMMV page, and there are definitely some things that could be toned down. I don't know why some people seem to take a The Simpsons episode so deadly seriously.
Hell, Bart's first-grade teacher is given a Moral Event Horizon entry for being dismissive towards him. Sure, not a way for a teacher to behave towards a little kid (except it was clearly Played for Laughs), but not a bloody MEH.
The entries were done by one of many accounts that belong to someone who often edited pages to push the agenda that Bart is constantly abused by the writers and the characters.
I'm starting to think at this point, we might need a dedicated clean-up thread for The Simpsons, given how often it pops up on the various clean-up threads.
I blame "Boys Of Bummer" for giving people that perception.
Thomas fans needed! Come join me in the the show's cleanup thread!Me too...
I just had to remove a bunch of complaining from "Boys of Bummer".

I had talked several pages back about starting a Simpsons cleanup. I almost did it, but I decided to start a Smash Bros cleanup instead. Does anyone want me to start the Simpsons cleanup now? And if so, do the pages attract any other issues besides complaining?
TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallThere's already a South Park cleanup thread, so a Simpsons cleanup thread can very safely be made.
Given that both shows are franchise zombies, I can see the Simpsons cleanup thread be quite popular.

Kirby is awesome.I'm still just surprised nobody made one sooner.
Yes, I say you should go ahead.
~The Mayor of Simpleton expressed interest in creating the thread in the first place.

Kirby is awesome.I know, I wanted to support the idea.
For context, the entries in the "Lisa's Sax" pages that accuse Homer and Marge of ignoring Bart probably refer to Homer saying "Marge, [Bart's] five. His life is over. Lisa's the wave of the future." when asked if they should do something for him. Even so, I don't think it's a "Screw Bart, Lisa needs our attention" mentality.
The main thing I was asking in relation to a proposed Simpsons thread was if there were any other recurring problems besides complaining.
TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallOh, I missed the point. I don't remember many other issues to be honest...
Now that we have The Simpsons out of the way, I can't help but feel like the last sentence in this entry of YMMV.Bram Stokers Dracula is too snarky for its own good.
- The team behind Castlevania made Dracula's backstory a Spiritual Adaptation of this movie, which means that Castlevania Chronicles Of Sorrow could be considered a Stealth Sequel of sorts where Dracula and Mina get reincarnated as Japanese high school students. Because anime.
I did laugh about it, to be honest.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.Do these belong under the WTH, Casting Agency? section of YMMV.The Mandalorian? I personally dislike the implications that the faults of these actors' performances outweigh the good, but also wonder if I read into the entries too hard to find those implications.
- A lot of people were quite surprised that Werner Herzog, of all people, was involved with this series, mostly because franchise work is so left-field for him. He stated that he's never cared about the franchise and originally took the role to finance his own work, but later grew to enjoy the experience, praising the Worldbuilding and Practical Effects. He especially fell in love with the baby of Yoda's species, calling the puppet "heartbreakingly beautiful" and shaming the show runners into going ahead with it when they were considering CGI instead. (Translation: Even though some good came from casting Werner Herzog, Lucasfilm shouldn't have cast him because he usually doesn't like Star Wars.)
- The guest appearance from Bill Burr was mostly quite popular, but his making no attempt to hide his strong Boston accent got quite a few comments about feeling out of place for Star Wars, with many jokes about his character actually being from a planet where everyone talks like that. He was also a bit infamous for not being a fan of the franchise and preferring more cerebral science fiction, and when he brought this up upon being approached for the role, Favreau replied “That’s what makes it funny.” Like Herzog, he grew to quite enjoy the experience once he realized it was more akin to a Spaghetti Western, which he’s also a big fan of, than the franchise’s usual thing. His appearance in Chapter 15 gave Burr an opportunity to show his acting chops in what many fans are calling one of the best scenes of the series at that point. (Translation: Bill Burr gave a great performance in his second guest spot, but Lucasfilm shouldn't have cast him because of the mockery he received after his first one.)
- Amy Sedaris' performance feels like it's aiming for a more broad type of comedy, which at times can feel a bit out of place in this setting. Her occasional Large Ham moments really stick out considering she's acting against someone who's doing consistently internalized work without even showing his face. (Translation: Amy Sedaris only fits in some of the time as opposed to all of the time, so Lucasfilm shouldn't have cast her.)
Not sure if it's necessarily "complaining" but this bolded section was added to Recap.Adventure Time S 8 E 22 Hero Heart:
- Ship Tease: Invoked, in the sense that Finn's "happy place" is the time he spent with 13-year-old Princess Bubblegum. Also subverted in that wasn't real friendship, nor was her giving him her hair, and his true happy place is just hanging out with Bubblegum in "The Pyjama Wars".
I haven't seen the show in a long time, so is this really a subversion, or is it just someone not liking a ship? (I'm pretty sure Finn and PB's relationship has been dead for a long time, but if there's really some throwback Ship Tease in this episode, then we can acknowledge that.)
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.
Yeah, that's pretty much it.
