This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking for an Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread
in the Image Pickin' forum.

The quote on On the Next better fits To Be Continued... Right Now. Maybe a straight example would work better.

This is the quote on It's the Principle of the Thing. Maybe it makes more sense if you're familar with the source, but currently i don't really get it? Would like to remove

Do quotes on Quotes Wiki pages need to be shortened? Because the Noah Caldwell-Gervais and Schaffrillas Productions quotes on Quotes.Spiritual Antithesis are really long.

They do seem a bit... novella. We do have a Wall of Text clean-up thread for entries, so perhaps quotes could do with being covered as well? I don't know if that would be for this thread or that one, however.

Is the quote on Tom Hanks worth keeping? It's more of a quote whining about Cancel Culture that happens to mention Tom Hanks, rather than a quote solely about Hanks. It looks like it was changed from a quote by Hanks himself to the current without discussion.

Dark Fantasy's quote is from a reviewer complaining about how he dislikes the genre. The first line of the Warhammer quote on the quote from the quotes page sounds good, but it's already part of the quote on the Warhammer page. Anyone got any other ideas?

Uncomfortable Elevator Moment got a page quote from Deltarune Chapter 2 on September 29, 2021. problem is... that dialogue has nothing to do with elevators, let alone the trope. it happens during the scene of Kris' gang being forced to ride into these rollercoasters before their battle against Berdly. i say we should remove it.

The quote for Becoming the Genie isn't quite clear without contest (granted, everyone probably saw Aladdin but still...), plus is the same for Genie in a Bottle and personally it fits better this last one.
Maybe it could be replaced with Jafar's wish to become a genie:

The quote for Not Helping Your Case is a bit obtuse if you don't know all the names being referenced, and I don't think I'd like it even if it was more obvious. This one seems more straightforward:

It seems to work better as a Threat Backfire example. The quote isn't acting like the people being threatened have already been kidnapped, so the threat seems more general than You Can Keep Her!
