This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking For An Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

johnnyfog is one of the most infamous ban evaders on the site. The quote may need to be removed solely based on that info, but I'm not 100% sure if it is necessary.
TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallWas he already ban evading under the johnnyfog account? We'd guess that was his original account from before the ban that he's been evading so much.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing. That's what I meant. I know that edits made by ban evaders under newer accounts get removed, but do the original edits under their original account also get removed under any circumstances?
TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallTo our awareness, no, we don't retcon away edits from ban evaders before they started ban evading.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing. In any case, it’s still not a good quote. And all of the entries on the quotes page refer to real life despite the trope being both IUEO and NRLEP.

Just nuked the whole quotes page basically. I kept the SNL one because at least it's a TV show making commentary, but the rest are blatant violations.
As for a replacement quote, this is the best I could do. Does that fact that the character has "baby" in his name indicative enough of the contrast needed for this trope?
Better than the present one but still not great.
It should also be noted that the current quote is extra not an example even in context, because this depiction of Russell Crowe is playing up his mean persona on a TV show. So he's a mean character too.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Okay, I terminated the quote then on the grounds of not even being an example alone. I'll just keep it blank unless anyone suggests anything better.
Shigesato Itoi has two quotes:
Some might be inclined to pick the first one, since it's about game development and Itoi is known best in the west for the Mother series. But I'd actually pick the second quote, since it's both shorter and better reflects Itoi's general philosophy on creativity, as in Japan he's known for far more than just Mother.

Only quote I can think of for NC,MA is "When I'm off the clock, kids can go jump in a lake for all I care." Krusty the Clown, The Simpsons. Even then, that guy gives me Depraved Kids' Show Host vibes moreso and is the page image therefor.
The page image on that trope is Peter Griffin though? I think it's an okay quote though, but it does indeed overlap.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Well it was one of Krusty looking grumpy and smoking for a while. I'm guessing it got swapped out for not demonstrating why he was a DKSH and not just a grumpy-ass clown.
Edit: Looking at the page history it was there from December 2014 to March 2020. Recent change then.

Can we call the crowner now? One option has far more votes than any of the others.
Both these are the page quotes for Rejection Projection:
Should I go with one or the other? Or cut them both as if two separate quote are required to convey the trope they're not worthy examples? Or what?
Neither stands alone, so they might have to be cut. I can imagine somewhere a work has a character say something that hits both parts of the trope in one dialogue, in an Immediate Self-Contradiction sort of way, but I don't know any examples myself.
SoundCloud7x I agree the second quote would be the best.
As for the Rejection Projection, would the Toy Story 3 quote on its example work? Slightly long, but it conveys the purpose of the trope well.

how about this for Rejection Projection?
Student 2: Hey, Goob! Wanna come over to my house today?
Goob (voiceover): They all hated me.
Perfect. Changing it now.
The quote for It's Fake Fur, It's Fine is a joke with no source. Is it okay to replace it with this?
(If I had a million dollars)
Well, I'd buy you a fur coat
(But not a real fur coat; that's cruel)
hello! I've been trying to choose a quote for Brazilian Folklore, and I thought a good one could be from Luís da Câmara Cascudo, one of the most relevant folklorists of Brazil. Which one would you think it fits the best?
The thing is that the page focuses more on the tales and creatures from folklore, so I don't know if his texts talking about traditions fit very well, plus they could refer to many other folklores. Does someone, maybe another Brazilian, have a suggestion? I was thinking maybe Monteiro Lobato could be a good choice too. Any English correction is welcome too.
oh hey how are you doing? That's a much better suggestion.
If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading. For Nice Character, Mean Actor, how about this quote?

If the "backstage" part makes it clear enough.

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.IP changed the image for Louis Cypher which is now quite close to what's captured in the page quote. Replacement suggestion:
Crown Description:
What should be the page quote for Monster.Fan Works?
It was added by johnnyfog and later condensed to just the last few lines. Don’t know how useful that info is.
