Puyo Puyo, but peppered with memes.
Puyo Puyo: The Puzzle Adventure is a web-animated YouTube series created by Mr. Kirby and later edited by Random22, based on the Puyo Puyo series of Falling Blocks games. It initially started with a few shorts until Chapter 1 of the Tetris arc was released on October 29th, 2020.

The main videos themselves feature the stories of Puyo Puyo Tetris, its sequel, and Puyo Pop Fever in a more sillier tone, with the characters saying memetic sounds and throwing Puyos and Tetriminos around. The shorts, meanwhile, tend to be various memes and viral videos re-enacted by various Puyo Puyo characters.

The playlist for the Tetris arc (Puyo Puyo Tetris: The Puzzle Adventure) can be found here while the playlist for Tetris 2 (Puyo Puyo Tetris: The Puzzle Adventure 2) is here. The Puyo Pop Fever video can be found here.

Tee: "I need to blow off steam. Still wanna learn how to make a tropes list?"
Ringo: "NO." *throws an S Tetrimino at Tee*

  • Adapted Out:
    • The Tetris arc ends at Chapter 7, causing the DLC chapters (8, 9, and 10) to be left uncovered.
    • As the HaraHara course section uses the normal ending where Raffina faces off against Evil Popoi, Carbuncle is nowhere to be seen in the Puyo Pop Fever video.
  • Art Evolution: The first art style, used througought the first Tetris arc, was a lot more simplistic and used official artwork of Puyos and/or Tetriminos whenever they needed to be shown. The short "Sigpardy" changes the art style to a more complex one - the characters were still Super-Deformed, but they had eye colors now and had slightly larger renders. The current art style, introduced in "Am I Glad He's Frozen In There", keeps the larger renders, but brings back the Black Bead Eyes. The Puyos/Tetriminos in the third style are also original artwork rather than just being official artwork.
  • Art Shift: The intro of the Tetris arc's Chapter 7 has the characters drawn in a less simplistic style than the rest of the series.
  • Asleep in Class: When Ms. Accord is explaining how Fever Mode works in Puyo Pop Fever, Amitie falls asleep for a short bit.
  • Black Bead Eyes: Just about everyone except Ecolo, at least in the first and third styles anyway. Sig still has a red left eye, but his other eye is black in said styles, while Ocean Prince has blue bead eyes in the third style.
  • Burn the Witch!: Witch's fate in her short screentime in Tetris Chapter 5, courtesy of Ringo. Downplayed, however, as she's just set alight without being tied to a stake.
  • Caption Humor: From pointing out facts and spelling out certain things the characters say to Comically Missing the Point, the series' captions can quite hilarious at times.
  • Denser and Wackier: Loud "nos" and sounds from other shows and media, Puyo and Tetris battles don't last more than a few seconds at best when they're shown, and the "battles" themselves just involve the player character throwing Puyos or Tetriminos (or both) at the opponent and calling it a day.
  • Dropped Glasses: Klug's glasses fall off his face after getting a Puyo thrown at him in Fever.
  • Exact Words:
    • The whole point of the "Tee" short and its remastered version.
      [Hold!]
*Tee puts his hand on Carbuncle to hold him*
    • In Puyo Pop Fever, Raffina tells Amitie to take a nap for her. The latter literally does just that, confusing her.
  • Fake-Out Fade-Out:
    • Happens in the second chapter of Tetris.
Ringo: Welp, looks like we made it back home!
*Smash to Black with words on the screen reading:
    Ringo got home.
    The End
while "Ocean Man" plays in the background*
    • Also happens in the fourth chapter of Tetris 2, showing credits briefly following Marle becoming uncorrupted.
  • Limited Animation: An extreme example. The characters are stiff figures who glide around varying backgrounds, with zero lip syncing to speak of. The videos from each arc and the Puyo Pop Fever video use backgrounds from their respective games, while the shorts also use original art or stock backgrounds when showing a location not from the games.
  • Mythology Gag: The extra episode for Chapter 2 of Tetris 2 opens with Tee and O standing in the cockpit of the Starship Tetra...with the first Tetris arc's art style, all for a brief moment. Then it goes back to the normal artstyle before anyone talks.
  • Precision F-Strike: As the videos use audio from the original game, Raffina says the word "damn" when she encounters Klug in Fever. The video even warns about said swear word being used before the RunRun section even begins.
  • Pain to the Ass: Raffina suffers from having her behind poked by Onion Pixie in Fever.
  • Say My Name: In Chapter 3 of Tetris 2, Ringo screams Ecolo's name so loud over him getting corrupted by Marle's influence on purpouse that series editor Random22 could hear it.
  • Screw This, I'm Out of Here!: When she realizes she had made Donguri Gaeru angry in Puyo Pop Fever, Amitie leaves Alicubi Lake without having to fight him.
  • Shout-Out: The series uses multiple memes and sounds from other media for each video. The shorts are the most blatant, as they're often based on viral videos or memes.
  • Super-Deformed: Made more so in this series than in the actual games, as the characters have rather short statures with Black Bead Eyes and Fingerless Hands.
