NekoMiko is a Visual Novel by Qureate.

The game has you play as a young man who has nothing but constant bad luck. One day, he's rejected from a job opportunity, AND dumped by his girlfriend not long after. Despondent, he heads to Akihabara, and finds a small run-down shrine in one corner. He prays for good luck and tosses a coin into the offering box, and suddenly two Miko priestesses with cat ears and tails (one named Ayame, and the other named Kaede) appear in front of him.

The two girls perform a dance in front of him to expel all the bad luck, but it doesn't work. Yeah, he's THAT unlucky. However, the priestesses won't be satisfied until all of his bad luck is gone. So, they decide to live with him until he's finally bad luck-free.

The game was released on Steam for the PC on January 24th, 2019. It is also available on the Nintendo Switch.

NekoMiko contains examples of:

  • Accidental Pervert:
    • In the first shrine cleaning scene, the protagonist gets this with whichever girl he decides to help. If he decides to help Ayame, she slips and falls on a bucket, giving him a Sexy Soaked Shirt and Panty Shot. If he decides to help Kaede, they get into a stepladder accident that ends in her falling and sitting on his face. He attributes this to the good luck the two mikos are bringing him.
    • Kaede herself, if the protagonist buys her ice cream, licks some off of his cheek with no idea of how flustered it makes him feel.
  • Bathtub Scene: This game, having been an H-Game at one point, has a scene of the Player Character bathing the girls.
  • Big Eater: Kaede, in her date scene, eats a whole tableful of cake at the maid cafe and still goes back for more
  • Cat Girl: Ayame and Kaede are human-looking girls with cat ears and cat tails.
  • Cats Hate Water: The Bathtub Scene happens because the two Cat Girls, having once been cats, groomed each other instead of bathing and show a great reluctance to obey the Player Character requesting they get in the bath, because they're afraid of drowning. The protagonist only gets them in by promising to personally clean them up.
  • Censor Suds: Ayame and Kaede have these when they're being bathed by the Player Character in the above-mentioned Bathtub Scene, unless you are playing the uncensored version or are using the patch.
  • Cute Little Fangs: Ayame has one in her mouth.
  • Fanservice with a Smile: In Chapter 5, either Ayame or Kaede will fill in for the protagonist at his Chinese restaurant job and wear a form-fitting Chinese dress with a slit that exposes their panties and shows off Kaede's cleavage. As a result, the normally empty-after-2-PM restaurant gets a massive influx of customers.
  • Gamer Chick: Ayame picks up video games from the protagonist and it winds up becoming her hobby and one of her primarily characteristics, to complement the bibliophile Kaede. Ayame's potential date with the protagonist takes them to an arcade where she beats an incredibly difficult Rhythm Game song (the game all but stated to be Taiko no Tatsujin).
  • Lethal Chef: Late in Chapter 5, Ayame and Kaede decide to be nice and cook the protagonist a meal. Unfortunately, the result is a “soup” that is colored purple and a bunch of smelly fish that tastes just as appetizing as it looks.
The object in the bowl was black and greasy. I guess it kinda looked like hardened crude oil. How on earth could you make something like this?
  • Little Bit Beastly: Ayame and Kaede have cat ears and cat tails.
  • Marry Them All: The Golden Ending has the protagonist confess his love to both Ayame and Kaede, promising to be with both of them forever. They promptly have Three-Way Sex in the 18+ version to celebrate.
  • Miko: Ayame and Kaede are shrine priestesses from a shrine located in Akihabara.
  • Multiple Endings: Four, depending on the affection points the protagonist racks up with the two love interests.
    • Bad End: If you do not have enough affection points with either girl, both Ayame and Kaede decide to leave after realizing the protagonist no longer needs them now that he is getting back together with his ex-girlfriend, only for the heartbroken protagonist to try in vain to see them again.
    • Ayame End and Kaede End: If the protagonist builds up more affection with either Ayame or Kaede, he goes back to the chosen girl instead of his ex and they stay together (plus a sex scene ensues in the 18+ version), but without the girl with less affection points, who has left to not let her own feelings get in the way.
    • Ayame & Kaede End: If you get the affections of both girls to at least 4 points, the protagonist turns away his ex and gets back with both girls, promising to stay forever. Three-Way Sex ensues.
  • Really 700 Years Old: According to the backstory, the two young-looking cat girls have lived for hundreds of years since the shrine was first built.
  • Shrines and Temples: Nekofuku shrine, where Ayame and Kaede come from. Ayame seems to want to fix it up.
