200 years after the fallen child wiped out monsterkind, God abandoned humanity and left behind an unspeakable creature on Earth - La Jupo, the chaos god of death who would annihilate all life every 300 years. Humanity would, in fear, create the best obstacle it could think of: C4 an angel of war mech who is sent to defeat La Jupo every time he comes back. After 850 matches, unbeknownst to everyone, the fate of the universe would be decided.

La Jupo Vania is an Undertale fangame developed by Bloodfist and completed on October 28, 2023. It takes inspiration from FAITH: The Unholy Trinity. It is free to download on GameJolt.

Note that there are minor spoilers for the Genocide ending of Undertale.

Tropes that are found in La Jupo Vania include:

  • After the End: The game takes place long after the events of the Genocide ending of Undertale.
  • Arc Words: The game starts with a quote about the "definition of insanity." From there, insanity is brought up many times as something that La Jupo and eventually C4 wishes to spread across the world.
  • Boxing Battler: Your SOUL gains the ability to punch through orange attacks at the start of the fight. Based on La Jupo's reaction, this was the first time C4 started doing this.
  • Deader than Dead: La Jupo becomes this after Aranea is exorcised, and is no longer able to bring him back.
  • Developer's Room: The Shamuseum, which can be accessed in the extras of the menu, lets you look at all of the attacks used by La Jupo and Aranea. Go to the very back of this place, and C4 will run into and be attacked by Gregory.
  • Genre Shift: The last two phases of the fight forces C4 to exorcise Aranea using the same mechanics found in FAITH: The Unholy Trinity.
  • Healing Potion: C4 uses pills to heal himself in the first half of the fight.
  • Heroic Mime: Absolutely Subverted at the end of the first phase, with C4 having enough of La Jupo's shenanigans. And he definitely made it count.
You told La Jupo to shut up.
C4: Shut up. Shut THE FUCK up.
[[You stole La Jupo's medicine. PILLS restored.]] I'm killing you for the last fucking time. You hear me? I QUIT. I'M KICKING THAT BASKETBALL SO FAR UP YOUR ASS YOU'LL SCREAM FUCKING BEETHOVEN. Why am I even playing basketball in the first place IF I'M TRYING TO FUCKING KILL YOU??? Maybe if you get some shit shoved up your ass you'll learn anything. I'm not playing your games anymore, Jupo. This fuck up festival ends up right here, right now. TL;DR Eat shit and die.
  • Omnicidal Maniac: La Jupo is supposedly this, but as the fight continues, it becomes apparent that C4 had plans to play this trope straight instead of trying to have fun the way La Jupo did.
  • Our Demons Are Different: As it turns out, La Jupo's real source of power is a Giant Spider demon called Aranea who is an embodiment of insanity that took over Sans' remains after he died.
  • Shell Game: Some of Aranea's turns will make you do this with three or four cups. Choose the wrong one and you get hit with a Cartoon Bomb.
  • Surreal Humor: The game starts with the premise of C4 fighting a Humanoid Abomination who just so happened to look like LastBreath! Sans, whilst defending against giant cherries, exploding drones, smaller clones of said Humanoid Abomination, and a large stone head, amongst other attacks. Once the first phase is over however, the fight get disturbing very fast.
  • Talk to the Fist: The 3rd phase ends this way due to C4 being ticked off by Aranea's taunting as it becomes clear that the cannon can't actually kill the demon.
  • Weaponized Ball: The first phase has C4 throw a basketball at La Jupo to damage him, with some turns even having La Jupo doing a Catch and Return. Later on, C4 replaces the basketball with cannonballs to kill La Jupo faster.
  • Villain Protagonist: Anyone with a keen eye will notice that C4 had fought La Jupo enough times to reach LV 20, which is a good indicator that he might stop caring about protecting humanity.
  • Your Soul Is Mine!: Aranea mentions that C4 stole the SOUL that makes him "alive." Sure enough, going to the Shamuseum and defeating Gregory will reveal that he's the original owner of this SOUL, with the gray figure screaming at you to give it back before he fades away.
