Trivia / Ultra Galaxy Fight: New Generation Heroes

Go To

  • Follow the Leader: Sorta. Ultra Galaxy Fight airing on the last three months of 2019 parallels the SSSS.GRIDMAN doing the same thing when Ultraman R/B was still airing its second half episodes. It helps that Galaxy Fight and SSSS.GRIDMAN were both targeted towards worldwide audiences.
  • Marth Debuted in "Smash Bros.": The film marks the international debut for a lot of things that JP fans already got to see.
    • Ultraman Gruebe's physical suit, since the press release for the film was region-locked and their appearance in the R/B's movie was a CG model
    • Ultra Dark-Killer, a character who debuted physically Ul Fes 2016 and who originally appeared as a pachinko-exclusive character
    • Ready To Beat, the Gruebe siblings Image Song, which originally debuted on Ul Fes 2018.
  • Milestone Celebration: Director Koichi Sakamoto plans the series as a 10th anniversary to Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Galaxy Legends and the appearance of Ultraman Zero. Hence, the New Generation Heroes will be displaying their use of powers related to Ultraman Zero himself.
  • No Budget: Being a 13 episode 5 minute miniseries itself, its understandable that the show would use practical green screen room and explosion effects would be CGI instead of the genuine one. It helps that most of the funding would go to Ultraman Taiga and the second season of Netflix anime adaptation for the manga Ultraman.
  • Production Posse: Many of the English cast members also worked on the English dubs for Mega Man X7 and Mega Man ZX Advent.
  • Prop Recycling: Ultraman Orb Darkness is obviously a rehashed and modified version of Ultraman Orb Dark.
  • The Other Darrin: Due to the low budget, the series doesn't employ help from Winckler Productions like how they helped dubbing all three movies of Ultraman Zero and as well as Ginga S Movie, Fight Victory and Ultraman X The Movie. Best example is Ginga’s English voice is provided by Peter Von Gomm (Necrom’s transformation device), instead of Nicholas Clark.
  • Role Reprise: Although the characters never appear out-of-suit, all returning New Generation Ultras are still voiced by their original actors.note
  • What Could Have Been: Director Koichi Sakamoto at first wanted to choose Gai/Orb as the leader of New Generation Heroes since his actor (Hideo Ishiguro) was the oldest of them all. Ultimately he chooses Hikaru/Ginga because of his Stock Shōnen Hero appearance.
