  • Channel Hop: Starting with "Boss for the Day!/Cricket's Get Well Wagon!," new episodes moved to the Nick Jr. channel as part of its "Girls Rule Sundays" block.
  • Dawson Casting:
    • Butterbean, Poppy and Dazzle, who are children, are voiced by women who are at least thirty. Jasper is also voiced by a pre-teen male.
    • Cricket, who is 6, is voiced by the 16-year-old Gabriella Pizzolo.
  • Dueling Shows: With Rainbow Rangers, a Nick show produced by Genius Brands International and released around the same time. Since Butterbean was in-house and aired on the main Nickelodeon channel, the majority of Nick Jr.'s promotion went to this show, leaving Rainbow Rangers in the dust.
  • He Also Did:
  • Out of Order: Going by production order, the majority of the show did not air in the intended order.
  • Quarter Hour Short: Episodes are generally aired in 11-minute increments instead of altogether, with one airing each weekday. Averted after the show moved to the 24/7 channel.
  • Schedule Slip: Initially, new episodes aired most weeks; when the show moved to the Nick Jr. channel, it was restricted to one or two new episodes a month as part of "Girls Rule Sundays" as explained above.
  • Screwed by the Network: One of the more recent Nick Jr. shows to suffer this, thanks to ratings dropping in Fall 2019 and being sent to the 24/7 channel as a result. Nick Jr. has not yet renewed the series for a third season, and it's likely the crew ended production entirely. It doesn't help that merchandise was released.
  • Unspecified Role Credit: The credits only list the voice actor’s names, and not who each one voices.
