Everyone is here for the grand finale!
Scott and Ramona attempt to confront the League of Evil Exes at the premiere of Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Musical in order to undo the force field preventing them from kissing… only to find out none of them are interested in fighting anymore. But there are deadlier threats in store beyond a mere force field… and one will force friend and ex alike to come together for the ultimate battle.

  • Actually Pretty Funny: Pretty much everyone not Scott and Ramona find it hilarious they can't kiss.
  • Antagonist Title: The ‘Scott Pilgrim’ of the title refers to Even Older Scott Pilgrim, with ‘The World’ referring to all the characters of the show, including Present Scott.
  • Bare-Handed Blade Block: Even Older Scott tries to block a knife thrown by Knives and, though successful, hurts himself because he used a bare forearm. He has better luck catching a katana slash from Roxy between his fingers.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Scott and Ramona are the last ones left standing in the battle with Even Older Scott, but he's stopped by the sudden appearance of Even Older Ramona appearing and scolding him for not contacting her for ten years and fighting everyone they knew in the past.
  • Blood from the Mouth: Scott coughs up blood after Even Older Scott punches him in the gut.
  • Curb Stomp Cushion: Everyone gets in at least one or two good hits, but Even Older Scott still decimates the entire cast.
  • Dramatic Irony: Both the graphic novel and movie had Ramona once call Scott another "Evil Ex waiting to happen", which is exactly what Even Older Scott becomes in this episode.
  • Empowered Badass Normal: Even Older Scott has some sort of psychic powers now, alongside a red aura lining his arms when he prepares to fight. It's implied that he unlocked vegan powers during his 10 years of training.
  • The End... Or Is It?: Everything goes back to normal and the cast gets better from it. Knives joins the Sex Bob-omb band and establishes that they don't "suck". The rest of the Evil Exes seek out new leases on life while Scott and Ramona's future together is looking bright. However, a mid-credits scene shows Gordon returning to his empire after Matthew graciously gives it back, with him and Julie banding together for a plan against Scott.
  • Future Me Scares Me: Scott sees Old Scott again, now Even Older Scott, who has become stronger but psychotic after 10 years of training in isolation (after getting kicked out by Old Wallace), and plans to destroy his past and everyone in it so he can move on. Scott is disturbed by his future self's obsession.
  • Maybe Ever After: Zig-zagged; Even Older Ramona flat out denies getting back together with Even Older Scott once it's established their initial separation was over a misunderstanding, since he cut off communication for ten years. However, after fusing with Young Ramona into Super Ramona, she gains new clarity of herself, and implies Even Older Scott has another chance if he learns to work on himself first. In the present, Ramona resolves to stick with her relationship with Scott, which may or may not go down the same road that lead to Even Older Scott if with some variation from the changes he already caused to the timeline. What matters is they try to make it work instead of running when the going gets tough.
  • Mythology Gag:
    • The episode's title references the name of the second graphic novel and the movie, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
    • Even Older Scott claims to have a "beef" with Gordon, same has how regular Scott has a "beef" with Gideon in the movie. Both Scotts throw their jackets to the ground the same way.
    • Knives loses her hair highlights from a single punch. Whereas Lynette Guycott of Clash at Demonhead does so in the graphic novel, and Todd Ingram does it in the movie, Even Older Scott does so here.
    • The subboss theme from the game is played during the cast's fight against Even Older Scott.
    • Once again, Scott pauses the climax to tie his shoe.
  • Never the Selves Shall Meet: Ramona and Future Ramona come to terms of their past and fuse into a "Super Ramona". Rather than defeat Even Older Scott or endanger the space-time continuum, they simply send him back to their future, hoping he can finally get his act together, before breaking the AK Field that was blocking Scott and Ramona's kiss.
  • Psychic Strangle: Even Older Scott is somehow able to strangle Gordon from a distance. Julie pleads for his life and he releases him. It's implied that while Even Older Scott was training for 10 years, he became a vegan and received psychic powers like Todd.
  • Race Lift: In-Universe, Matthew Patel (who's Indian-American) plays Scott in the stage musical.
  • Reaction Shot: The musical is only heard and not seen, with everyone watching with varied expressions before the main cast is warped to an unknown place.
  • Real After All: The Epilogue shows Wallace hooking up with another Canadian in France and later sharing a kiss. To his shock, they can feel sparks, something he thought was ridiculous when Todd tries to get back with him at the start of the episode.
  • Rewatch Bonus: Even Older Scott defeats the Evil Exes in numerical order like in the previous media: Matthew, Lucas, Todd, Roxie, the Twins, and Gordon.
  • Red Herring: Ramona and Scott thought they had to defeat the League of Evil Exes for real to break the force field that was blocking their kiss, but they have all moved on. It takes a warp out of the theater for everyone to discover that this was Old Scott's doing.
  • Shout-Out:
    • Even Older Scott reveals that he spiked Present Scott's drink with nanomachines while he was in the future to create an "Anti-Kiss Field" that prevents Scott from kissing Ramona. The way it's portrayed is similar to the AT Fields from Neon Genesis Evangelion.
    • During battle, Even Older Scott bears a resemblance to Evil Ryu from Street Fighter.
  • Surprisingly Realistic Outcome:
    • Even Older Scott blocks one of Knives' thrown knives with his forearm which just results in him getting painfully stabbed.
    • After Even Older Scott realizes he made a mistake and that Older Ramona had just wanted a break, not a divorce, he asks Even Older Ramona if they can get back together at which she just flatly says, no, as it had been ten years at that point and she had moved on with her life. However, as Super Ramona, she reveals she's willing to give Even Older Scott one more chance to reconnect with her, but first Scott needs to deal with the personal issues that contributed to causing their relationship to fall apart in the first place. Only then will she give him another chance.
  • Show Within a Show: Stephen and Knives pen a stage show about Scott's life called Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Musical, starring Matthew Patel as Scott.
  • Villain Has a Point: Even under his Never My Fault spiel, Even Older Scott brings up two good points: It is possible that Scott could still become him one day as he had been down this road before. The second and more important thing is that Ramona has a habit of running away from the ones she loved, which sparked the League of Evil Exes in the first place, making her realize that she has to try and make things work for her Scott somehow so he doesn't end up like Even Older Scott.
  • Villain Respect: As complicated as Even Older Scott's plans were, Gordon credits him for such devotion.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Even though he spent so much effort trying to avert his relationship with Ramona, and even though he still yearns to reconnect with her, when Even Older Scott overhears Even Older Ramona discuss with Present Ramona leaving Present Scott, he gets fed up and sardonically dares the both of them to run away from another person she loves like she always does.
  • "Where Are They Now?" Epilogue: Sex Bob-Omb gets Knives as a keyboardist who works with Stephen to get gigs, and they seem to plan on collaborating with Envy. Matthew's musical based on Scott's life goes on to Broadway and wins 27 awards. Todd is training to become a vegan again, with Roxie cheering him on. No Account Video closes down forever, but Kim and Hollie discover Lucas Lee has become a barista in the coffee shop next door, working with Stacey, as the Katayanagi twins and Robot-01 read books on how to reform. Wallace spends the money he got for starring as himself to go to Paris, where he meets his boyfriend (implied to be Mobile from the comics) and is shocked to learn that the sparks were real the whole time. Ramona gets a job as a stunt double, and later removes her hair dye. Gordon, back in control of his company, is plotting something with Julie against Scott.
  • Wrecked Weapon: Ramona swings her hammer at Even Older Scott, who tanks the hit then shatters it with a headbutt.
