(CWi Episode: "Tomorrow's Big Dreams")

The Amazon Quartet are ordered by the old hag to infiltrate a Coming of Age Celebration in the hopes of finding Pegasus. While there, they end up befriending the Inner Girls who are also volunteering. But the comradery comes to an end when they get into a dispute over what it means to grow up.

Tropes in this episode include:

  • Actor Allusion: Biri Biri Dude, who's voiced by Chris Niosi, calls himself the Greatest Entertainer of the Century.
  • All Women Are Lustful: The real reason Minako wanted her friends to partake in the volunteer job was make the acquaintance of the handsome men who would be involved there.
  • Bullying a Dragon: Everyone in the Dead Moon court have a laughing fit over how old and ugly their Bad Boss Zirconia is.
  • Character Development: In the past, Rei had a great ego and would throw herself into needlessly dangerous situation just to prove she could do it and would end up being hurt. In the present, when asked if she could move across a metal path that's several feet above the ground, Rei openly accepts that she can't do it and quits before she hurts herself.
  • Circus Brat: Jun Jun and Ves Ves use their acrobatic skills to help set up the curtain decorations for the stage.
  • Cold Open: The deranged circus folk have a good laugh over how decrepit Zirconia is. Zirconia puts an end to their fun and gives the Amazon Quartet their new mission.
  • Continuity Nod: Each of the Inners share their dreams that were discussed throughout the season to the Amazon Quartet.
  • Counterpart Combat Coordination: Each of the Inners ambush a Quartet Girl that matches them in color.
  • Disappointed in You: Rei, Makoto and Chibi-Usa all express disappointment over Usagi's unrealistic hopes when it comes to her ideal job.
  • Exact Words: The girls are dismayed to learn that Minako's job offer would involve volunteering which is equal to free labor. Minako defends herself saying that while she did mention it was a job, she never said anything about there being financial compensation.
  • For Happiness: Makoto wants to open her own cake shop so she can inspire happiness with her hungry customers.
  • The Gloves Come Off: The last scene has Queen Nehelenia coming across a golden opportunity to advance her plans which prompts her to act on her own.
  • Go-Karting with Bowser: The Inner Girls work alongside the Amazon Quartet to decorate the building without realizing who the other really is.
  • Growing Up Sucks: The Quartet get into conflict with the Inners over how growing up is something that shouldn't be celebrated mixed with how being a kid is better.
  • Imagine Spot:
    • Usagi describes her dream as being old enough to marry Mamoru and then pour hot soup all over him as his devoted housewife.
    • Minako dreams of becoming a famous idol who travels the world.
  • The Infiltration: The Amazon Quartet pass themselves off as volunteers in the celebration ceremony so they can attack the unsuspecting attendees.
  • Irony:
    • The Flower Master Cere Cere has difficulty making a flower set without using magic.
    • Jun Jun scoffs at Ami and Makoto's dreams of helping others when she herself can be considered the most helpful among her entourage.
  • Kick the Dog: The Quartet Girls mock the Guardians after hearing about their dreams. JunJun tells Makoto and Ami to trash their stupid dreams since serving others is pointless while CereCere believes Rei's "INTERNATIONAL LIFE OF SUCCESS" is only going to result in her becoming some else's slave.
  • Layman's Terms: After hearing Minako explain that doing the volunteer job will be easier if everyone was involved and working together, Rei translate it as the job is actually hard and she doesn't want to do it alone. Ami also brings up how the job doesn't pay very well considering that Minako never brought up the salary aspect.
  • Lazy Bum: Usagi agrees to Minako's job offer if it includes the following:
Usagi: Count me in as long as it's easy, comes with snacks, has a naptime and pays me alot of money!
  • Locked Out of the Fight: Before Biri Biri Dude can attack the Guardians with his special moves, he ends up electrocuting himself because he ate too many Dream Mirrors.
  • Mundane Utility: Ami uses her supercomputer to help figure out how to improve the stage's decorations. Somewhat justified since the capabilities of her computer are more advanced than anything the technology of the current era can offer.
  • The Needs of the Many: Ami's dream is to become a doctor who uses her medical skills to help those in need. Jun Jun criticizes her's and Makoto's dream insisting that giving up their lives for the sake of others is stupid.
  • Not So Above It All: Zirconia's last words before sending the Quartet off is to hurry up before she gets more "ugly wrinkles".
  • Plot Hole: For reasons unclear, Ami decided to take out her super computer in public to figure out a better design for the stage. Fortunately, none of the Quartet Girls catch on to her being Sailor Mercury.
  • Psycho Electric Eel: The Monster of the Week is Biri Biri Dude, with the power to electrify any unfortunate sap into unconscious submission.
  • Running Gag: Palla Palla hates the idea of being a grown up! She also hates the Sailor Guardians!
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: Despite being the prime motivation for getting the Inner Girls to work for free, the beautiful men disappear as soon as the Amazon Quartet show up.
  • Villain Opening Scene: The episode starts with the Amazon Quartet making jokes with the Lemures about how old Zirconia is. And after telling everyone to shut their traps, the old prune assigns the mischievous girls to attend the Coming-Of-Age Ceremony.
