Narrator: Previously on… Kamen Rider Gotchard!
Dreaming of a world where mankind and Chemies coexist in harmony, Houtarou Ichinose "Gotchanko-es" to form a tag team with Wrestler G, aiding the retired pro-wrestler Asahi in protecting his gym!
Houtarou witnesses the ardent friendship between man and Chemy, and glimpses a new potential future!
However, these human emotions can also sometimes bottle up, whereupon they fester and turn into malice...

After rescuing the Chemy Burningnero from Lachesis, Supana is tailed by a man who transforms into another Malgam, with his tactics being a little different than previous Malgams. For some reason he seems to have it out for Supana, though Valvarad's strength is able to fend him off for the time being.

Deciding to change its strategy, the Malgam kidnaps Rinne to use her as leverage against Supana, leaving Houtarou to investigate the man behind the monster and why he is targeting Supana.

Tropes

  • Ambiguous Situation: Does Supana really not remember Boruto at all? Given how loud and bombastic Boruto is, it'd be hard not to forget a personality like him even though Renge suggests he can't remember Boruto from the other rivals clawing at his feet. Or Supana does remember Boruto but asks who the hell he is just to screw with his head. However, there is the reveal that those in the Academy also get their memories wiped...
  • Bait-and-Switch: Houtarou begins tailing Supana. Supana stops and realizes he's being followed, but it's Boruto who pops up and declares his rivalry.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Supana arrives just in the nick of time to save Burningnero from a woman about to become its Malgam host.
  • Bookends: If placed chronologically, Boruto lost to Supana due to him hurling a rock to his face. His defeat as Hawk Malgam was due to another rock to the face, courtesy of Houtarou. The two fights also take place in the same rock quarry.
  • But for Me, It Was Tuesday: Supana's response to Boruto's revenge scheme is to say that he doesn't remember him at all with Renge suggesting that it's because there are so many other rivals Supana had to deal with. However, it's implied he really doesn't remember Boruto at all, as he simply asks who the heck this self-proclaimed rival is.
  • Catch and Return: The duel between Boruto and Supana had Boruto telekinetically throw weapons at Supana, who fuses them into a giant boulder of metal and throws it back.
  • Cooking Duel: Houtarou and Supana end up engaging in one due to the latter decided he could one-up Houtarou's dish. Interestingly enough, both end up enjoying each other's dish, even if the latter is (badly) denying otherwise.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Boruto's one-sided rivalry with Supana is due to the latter wiping the floor with him during their Super A-class qualifying match.
  • Damsel in Distress: Rinne ends up as one as Boruto abducts her and makes sure to take away her alchemist's ring, preventing her from freeing herself.
  • Enemy Mine: Houtarou and Supana put aside their rivalry in order to save Rinne from the Hawk Malgam.
  • Et Tu, Brute?: Played for Laughs. Houtarou protests at his mother and Ryo approving of Supana's cooking, until he decides to try it himself.
  • Foil: This episode has this with Hotaro and Boruto compared to Supana.
    • Hotaro makes a large breakfast with an assortment of foods. Supana would rather stick with a purple omurice.
    • Boruto summons numerous weapons in a flashy attack. Supana turns the weapons into a giant boulder and strikes him in the stomach.
  • Food Porn: Hotaro's Special Breakfast looks delicious. Spanner himself polished it all despite denying that he liked it.
  • I Do Not Like Green Eggs and Ham: Houtarou bites the bullet and tries Supana's purple omurice after Tamami and Ryo approve of it, only for him to concede that his rival does know how to cook.
  • Lucky Charms Title: The episode title features a star symbol.
  • Mundane Solution:
    • Boruto stops Rinne from using alchemy by just taking off her ring.
    • During their Super-A exam, Supana defeats Boruto not through fancy trickery but by turning all of the weapons launched at him into a rock and then throwing it back to Boruto.
  • Never Trust a Trailer: The Teaser makes it look like Lachesis is going to create a Malgam out of a combination of the fiery Burningnero and a woman upset over being dumped, only for Supana arriving in the nick of time to capture the Chemy and save the woman at the very last minute.
  • Offhand Backhand: Magic variant; Supana repels one of Boruto's alchemical attacks without so much as turning around.
  • Out of Focus: Atropos only appears near the end of the episode, telling her sisters to carry on with creating Malgams.
  • Pet the Dog: Supana tells the lady in the opening not to let revenge and hatred consume her, but move forward with her life instead.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: The episode ends with Atropos's eyes ominously glowing red.
  • "Shaggy Dog" Story: At the end of it all, Boruto's quest for revenge is denied by Supana not remembering who he is and Minato wiping his memories away shortly after.
  • She Is Not My Girlfriend: Boruto abducts Rinne on the assumption that she is Supana's girlfriend. Supana proceeds to rather bluntly debunk that during the confrontation at the quarry.
  • Ship Tease: At least two "hints" for Houtarou and Rinne.
    • When Houtarou is pouting after Supana's visit, Rinne immediately can tell that Houtarou is getting jealous of Supana when he tries to cover it up. Rather than scold him, she fondly jokes about how easy he is to read.
    • While both Supana and Houtarou arrive to save Rinne, Rinne's expression at the sight of Houtarou makes it clear she's happier to see him come for her.
  • Suspiciously Specific Denial: Supana claims Houtarou's meal is horrible, only to proceed to eat the rest of it.
  • Tastes Like Friendship: Subverted on both ends. Supana refuses to admit that Hotaro's food was delicious even after cleaning his plate. And after Hotaro eats Supana's meal, he begrudgingly accepts that his rival is a good chef.
  • Wham Episode: A minor one, but it turns out that not even those in the Alchemist Academy are immune to memory erasure.
  • Woman Scorned: Subverted; Lachesis was about to create a Burningnero-based Malgam out of a dumped woman when Supana intervenes and captured the Chemy instead.
