Kalita struggles with the past while Miho messes with the present.

Yet another Spotter article arrives to hamper Cookie's progress, this time focusing on Kalita and her involvement with the Roda Kira Gang. As Kalita ponders cutting all ties with her former lifestyle, she reflects on how she created the Roda Kira Gang with Debbie and Leyline years ago. Meanwhile, Miho continues her campaign to discredit Muko, Kalita, and Cookie. Unknown to her, someone has complaints about her journalistic practices

  • Batter Up!: Harry goes to assault Miho at the end of the chapter with a baseball bat.
  • Berserk Button: As some random kids learn the hard way, never talk about Kalita's parents within earshot, especially if you mention their drug addiction and death by overdose.
  • Blood from the Mouth: Played for Laughs when Kalita spits blood while declaring that she can still fight after she fought Debbie and Leyline to a draw and the two suggest to leave it at that.
  • The Bully: Kalita was indeed a bully who needed to intimidate people to get money or deal with her anger issues. Becoming a biker with Debbie and Leyline allowed her to channel her anger into something more productive.
  • Cuteness Proximity: Debbie and Leyline blush when they see a happy Kalita wearing glasses. They find her cute and adorable, laughing at her reaction.
  • A Day in the Limelight: The later half on the episode focuses on Miho as she works for the Spotter.
  • Drugs Are Bad: Kalita's family is stated to have been ruined my drugs as her parents were junkies who died from overdoses, leaving her as an orphan.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Mr. Dings may be loyal to Shun, but he has a legitimate passion for journalism. He starts typing something saying that it's not a lie if you don't tell the whole truth.
  • Flipping the Bird: Miho and Mr. Bings flip each other off when saying goodbye, showing their bad working relationship.
  • Gilligan Cut: After Kalita confronts the kids who made fun of her, the next page shows the kids staring at a tree with their bikes on the top.
  • Gory Discretion Shot: The chapter ends with Harry dashing at Miho with a baseball bat and then a splash of blood on the next panel.
  • Hidden Depths: Despite the actions of the Spotter and his Undying Loyalty to Shun, Mr. Dings does have a passion for journalism. He even names his pet turtle Pulitzer.
  • Junkie Parent: Kalita's parents are junkies who died of drug overdose.
  • Kick the Dog: Some schoolmates of Kalita make fun of her for being weird and then point out that her parents were junkies that died from overdosing. She punishes them by throwing their bikes on a tree.
  • Kids Are Cruel: Some kids laugh at Kalita for being a loner and having junkies as parents who died by overdose. Kalita throws their bikes to a tree in revenge.
  • Loners Are Freaks: Kalita is treated as such for being a loner, and that's not including the issue with her parents...
  • Meaningful Name: Roda Kira uses a lot of Bilingual Bonus in kanji and pronunciation. Roda means "road". Kira sounds like "killer." The da kanji means "fallen". Kira also means "shooting star."
  • Origins Episode: The first half of the chapter shows the start of the Roda Kira Gang.
  • Rollerblade Good: Harry uses rollerblades to dash at Miho to hit her with a baseball bat.
  • Sanity Slippage: Harry reveals that he's been suffering this as a result of trying to defend Muko's honor from her haters. He decides that the only way to solve the problem is to kill Miho to stop the smearing campaign.
  • Stargazing Scene: Kalita, Debbie, and Leyline gaze at the stars the day the Roda Kira Gang is formed.
  • Tender Tears: Kalita sheds them when she, Debbie, and Leyline are stargazing together. It's a sign of happiness of having found True Companions for the first time in her life.
  • True Companions: Kalita's bond with Debbie and Leyline started like this after their fight. They gave her a purpose and she was happy to find a place to belong.
  • Undying Loyalty: Miho taunts Mr. Dings about it during their scene together.
  • Ungrateful Bastard: Subverted with the homeless people that Kalita saved. This chapter reveals that Mr. Dings edited the footage of the interview to make it seem like the homeless incriminated Kalita.
  • When She Smiles: Kalita smiles adorably when she names the Roda Kira Gang. It causes Debbie and Leyline to blush and laugh at her because she looks cute like that.
  • Would Hit a Girl:
    • Leyline doesn't hesitate to team up with Debbie to fight and injure Kalita to the point she vomits blood. While Kalita did fight back and injure him and Debbie, it shows that Leyline didn't discriminate when using violence against women.
    • Harry assaults Miho with a baseball bat at the end of the chapter.
