Bubblegum and Rainicorn look for the guys, who have gone missing after a run-in with the Ice King.Tropes
- Action Girl: Bubblegum is confirmed to be this when she easily defeats Ricardio.
- Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: When Finn wakes up in the hospital, he's not quite up to speed on what happened and blurts out "Princess! Ricardio's back, he's in the black ice caves, and he's peacocking hardcore!"
- Badass in Distress: Finn and Jake get captured, and require Lady and PB to save them.
- Bait-and-Switch Boss: As these tropes show, it's not Ice King who's the kidnapper, but rather Ricardio.
- Bilingual Dialogue: About half of the dialogue is Korean due to that being the only thing Lady speaks. Despite most of the speech being immune to Repeating So the Audience Can Hear, it is mostly easy to understand her through context and tone.
- Body Horror: Ricardio's flesh lair and the sinew attached body that Ricardio made for himself were from Ice King's body.
- Continuity Nod:
- The Zanoits used to drug Finn and Jake were discussed between PB and Ricardio in "Ricardio the Heart Guy".
- In Lady's long Korean speech, she remembers the two Candy Zombie outbreaks from "Slumber Party Panic" and "From Bad To Worse".
- Crazy-Prepared: Bubblegum puts this trope on full display in this episode. She tells Rainicorn that she has calculated EVERY POSSIBLE DISASTER and has brought everything they would need. Subverted since she quickly loses all her weapons and ends up having to fight Ricardio unarmed.
- A Day in the Limelight: Bubblegum showing off being an Action Girl.
- Face Framed in Shadow: Ricardio, when he makes his entrance.
- Foreshadowing: When PB first turns on the heart-rate detector, you can briefly see six spots of light where Lady is standing.
- Grievous Harm with a Body: PB rips the limbs off Ricardio's body and pummels him with them.
- Heroic Second Wind: When Ricardio sadistically abuses the injured Lady, PB rips him apart with her bare hands.
- Human Knot: Ricardio ties up Rainicorn like a pretzel. Even more disturbing with The Reveal at the end.
- I Have You Now, My Pretty: Ricardio thinks that now that he's got PB all alone, she can't resist him. She easily proves him wrong by beating him in hand-to-hand combat.
- Kick the Dog: Ricardio twisting Lady's stomach, made worse by the fact she's revealed to be pregnant.
- Major Injury Underreaction: Ice King seems rather nonchalant about Ricardio using his body to make a fleshy lair.Ice King: (calmly) It hurt, oh boy. How 'bout a hug? Please? I need it...
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Lady Rainicorn speaking in English for the first (and so far, only) time.
- Parting-Words Regret: At the start of the episode, Lady bemoans (in Korean) that her last conversation with Jake before he disappeared was a petty argument over his undercooked noodles.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: PB pairs her physical beatdown of Ricardio with a verbal one:Bubblegum: You think we're intellectual equals?! It only took me seconds to get you off your guard! And this "body" you designed is self-congratulatory garbage! See, I know a thing or two about building a body out of biomass, and you don't leave your heart exposed!
Ricardio: I just wanted to impress you...
Bubblegum: You didn't! (smacks Ricardio with his own leg) Get out of my sight. - Shout-Out:
- Ricardio's new body is based on Majora's Incarnation in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.
- As the Ice King shakes his new maraca heart, he makes some "coochie coochie" exclamations like Charo is known for.
- Small Name, Big Ego: Ricardio thought of himself as an intellectual equal to Bubblegum. He was not.
- Talk to the Fist: Ricardio condescendingly assures Princess Bubblegum she is absolutely no match for him after she challenges him to a fight. Bubblegum nails him in the face before he's done talking.
- Wham Line: Lady Rainicorn speaks English for the first time ever to deliver some big news to Jake:Lady Rainicorn: I am pregnant!
- Womb Level: Ricardio's lair, being formed from the Ice King's own flesh, is disturbingly biological.
