Go To

Basic Trope: A limousine far too long to be practical.

  • Straight: Mr. Moneybucks' limousine is 30 metres note  long, rides on 12 sets of wheels, and includes a full-sized bar and a hot tub.
  • Exaggerated: Mr. Moneybucks' limousine is 150 metres note  long, and includes such things as a bowling alley and a shooting range.
  • Downplayed: Mr. Moneybucks' Rice Burner limousine fits in a standard garage.
  • Justified: The limousine was purpose-built to be the longest limousine in the entire world.
  • Inverted:
  • Subverted: The guests at the party Mr. Moneybucks is attending talk about his new, absurdly long limousine, but when it drives into view, it's even smaller than your typical stretch limousine.
  • Double Subverted: However, Mr. Moneybucks then presses a button, and his limousine extends to cover the whole 30 metres.
  • Parodied:
    • Everyone in the series has some form of absurdly long transportation appropriate to their social status - the sporty Hipster has an Absurdly Long Tandem Bicycle, the Sergeant Rock - an Absurdly Long APC, the street-racer - an Absurdly Long Nissan Skyline, and so on.
    • Mr. Moneybucks' limousine is treated like a train; it makes train sound effects as it drives along, its interior is divided into coupes, it has people going along its length selling food and newspapers, and some parts of it are covered with Generic Graffiti.
    • Whenever Mr. Moneybucks calls the driver of the limousine, he has to deal with a few seconds of delay because even electricity takes some time to traverse its enormous length.
  • Zig Zagged: Mr. Moneybucks' limousine is shown in several different scenes, and in every scene, its apparent size is always different from before, going from regular size to absurdly long size to smaller than regular size and then back to regular size and repeat. Probably a goof or a joke from part of the show's artists.
  • Averted: Mr. Moneybucks' limousine is just a regular-sized stretch.
  • Enforced: "Now, how do I show that Mr. Moneybucks likes to flaunt his wealth?" "Simple - you give him an Absurdly Long Limousine."
  • Lampshaded:
  • Invoked: Mr. Moneybucks deliberately orders his new limousine to be as long and ostentatious as possible.
  • Exploited: An assassin hired to kill Mr. Moneybucks chooses to strike when his limousine is driving through the city, knowing it's not maneuverable enough to escape.
  • Defied: Mr. Moneybucks is not an idiot, and would never trade his classy sports car for an Absurdly Long Limousine.
  • Discussed: "Have you seen Moneybucks' new limousine? It's, like, three miles long!" "Hm... interesting. Makes me think he's Compensating for Something."
  • Conversed: "I just saw a 30-metre limo on TV. Kinda makes me wonder if any of those fictional limousines could actually be driven around in the real world..."
  • Implied: Characters often mention how long Mr. Moneybucks' limousine is, but it's never shown on screen.
  • Deconstructed:
    • The Absurdly Long Limousine is only street-legal because Mr. Moneybucks bribed the transport authorities, and proves unable to navigate corners anyway, leaving it to serve as an expensive, overblown decoration.
    • Mr. Moneybucks' most frequent problem in life is finding a parking space big enough for his limousine.
    • Mr. Moneybucks bought the limo just to show off how rich he is. It was never meant to be driven.
  • Reconstructed:
    • The Absurdly Long Limousine can bend (like an articulated bus or a semi-truck), and all of its wheels are connected to the steering, allowing it to turn corners with relative ease.
    • Moneybucks is rich enough that wherever he goes, he gets Rock Star Parking.
  • Played For Laughs: The limousine is used as a part of Overly Long Gag as the characters wait for several minutes for the rear window of it to reach them.
  • Played For Drama: The limousine's roof becomes a stage for a limousine equivalent of a Traintop Battle between an assassin sent to kill Mr. Moneybucks and the bodyguard aiming to protect him.
  • Played For Horror: The Absurdly Long Limousine is actually an Afterlife Express for the ultra-rich, with Eldritch Location properties - and Mr. Moneybucks is, unknowingly, its latest passenger.
