- Little Miss Naughty's Slasher Smile can be creepy at times, it's even compared to a crocodile smile in one story.
- If you have a fear of heights, then please, never read Little Miss Somersault's story up to the end.
- Mr. Daydream and Jack almost getting Eaten Alive by a crocodile.
- Some of the rude Mr. Men and Little Misses can be quite intimidating sometimes, Like Mr. Grumpy and Mr. Rude.
- The Ghost in Mr. Men: Halloween Party. Also an In-Universe example, as everyone at the party was horrified when it laughed it's eerie hollow laugh and rattled it's chains. Heck, even Mr. Uppity was afraid! Thank goodness it was only Mr. Impossible in the end.
- From her spikey red hair to her Slasher Smile, Little Miss Scary is arguably one of the scariest looking characters in the series.
- The Giant in the Animated Adaptation of Mr. Greedy's story is quite infamous for this, due to him being in the Unintentional Uncanny Valley.
- It's pretty frightening when the characters are transformed into animals in Little Miss Sunshine and The Wicked Witch.
- Little Miss Bossy is transformed into a bat.
- Mr. Rude is transformed into a toad.
- Little Miss Dotty is transformed into a mouse. There's a bit of Nightmare Retardant though when after she gets changed back, she develops a craving for cheese.
- And of course, Little Miss Sunshine is transformed into a dog.
- The last words spoken in Little Miss Fun are dark:Why, for you of course!Because you aren't asleep yet...
- Mr. Mischief's first appearance after his prank on Mr. Happy, what with his entire body in darkness combined with a Slasher Smile on his face.
- With that image in mind, the final page could also be seen as a bit chilling for some:
... before you read this last page, just take a look out of the window.Go on!You can't see a small mischievous figure anywhere about?Can you?Are you sure? - In "Little Miss Trouble", Mr. Uppity and Mr. Clever physically assaulting Mr. Small is actually quite disturbing, so much so that the TV adaptation omitted those moments completely, instead having him get injured by accident.
- The simple fact that Little Miss Trouble tricked the two of them into assaulting Mr. Small and then laughed over what happened. It makes her the closest thing the series has to a sociopath. Unlike other "bad" Mr. Men and Little Misses, who usually just play pranks or act like jerks, Miss Trouble is genuinely malicious.
- If you thought Little Miss Bossy was scary, her scariness is just a walk in the park compared to her robotic clone, Bossybot in Little Miss Inventor And The Robots. For one thing, even Mr. Grumpy and Mr. Rude as well as Little Miss Naughty were scared of it. To up the ante, it takes control over the other Misterbots and Little Miss Bots that Little Miss Inventor created causing them to attack the other Mr. Men and Little Misses as well as causing the Helpbot to malfunction and there's a very likely chance that if Little Miss Inventor hadn't invented a stop button for the robots, Misterland would've gone through a very Terminator-like or Nineteen Eighty-Four-like scenario.
- The ending to Mr. Topsy-Turvy's book is surprisingly eerie, Mr. Topsy-Turvy just disappears, no reason given, he just does. And the inhabitants of the town he visited start speaking topsy-turvy like he did for no apparent reason.
- The Mr. Men Show:
- In "Clocks", Mr. Bump apparently gets impaled by a clock-hand at the end of his and Mr. Tickle's plot.
- Many of Mr. Nervous' daydreams could count. Any regular mundane activity to him could be a seriously life-threatening scenario. The one from "Science" for instance, has him sent out to fix a satellite in order to save the entire world, only for him to lose his wrench, get his connection cable snapped, gets attacked by a meteor shower, and gets lost in space because of it. It turns out to be just him at the planetarium.
