Suraya inherits a ghost called a pelesit from her dead grandmother. She names him Pink and they become best friends. But when Suraya befriends a new girl at school, Pink's darker side comes out, and an unusual shaman is called to deal with it. This book by Hanna Alkaf came out in 2020.

This book contains examples of:

  • All of the Other Reindeer: Suraya has difficulty making friends, especially with the bullies at her new school.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: The pawang initially seems friendly, offering to help get rid of evil spirits. It turns out he actually collects the spirits and plans to use them to get more power.
  • The Collector: The main villain is the pawang, who collects spirits and is trying to capture Pink.
  • Crazy Jealous Guy: A non-romantic example in Pink, who uses his powers to torment Suraya's new friend Jing out of jealousy. This then escalates into tormenting Suraya herself after she dismisses him. Luckily, he gets over it.
  • Do with Him as You Will: After defeating the pawang, the heroes let the creatures he enslaved decide what to do with him. He's carried off, and it's not shown what they do to him.
  • Fluffy the Terrible: When Suraya is five, she meets a dark spirit with dangerous powers, who is perfectly willing to use them to hurt people. She names him Pink.
  • Hallucinations: During Pink's revenge on Suraya, he makes her have surreal and terrifying hallucinations.
  • Hunter of Monsters: The pawang, who helps people get rid of monsters and spirits.
  • Kid with the Leash: Suraya frequently stops Pink from using his powers to take revenge on her bullies, thinking it makes her no better than they are. Not that this stops him from doing it behind her back.
  • Licking the Blade: The pawang does this near the end after cutting Jing.
  • Living Drawing: One of the hallucinations that Pink sends Suraya is her drawing coming to life and attacking her.
  • Long-Lost Relative: Pink was created from the corpse of Suraya's older brother, Imran, that she never knew she had.
  • Loophole Abuse: After noticing that Pink is playing tricks on Jing out of jealousy, she orders him not to prank Jing again. Pink reluctantly accepts this. He then plays a prank on Kammelia and frames Jing for it, leaving her to suffer the consequences.
  • New Friend Envy: After being Suraya's only friend for most of her life, Pink gets jealous when she makes friends with Jing. He takes this out on Jing and later Suraya when she confronts him about it.
  • Outliving One's Offspring: Suraya's mother lost her firstborn, Imran, to drowning when he was two. She fell into depression and never told Suraya what happened.
  • Psycho Supporter: Suraya tells Pink not to use his powers to hurt people, even the ones who bully her. He does it anyway, though subtly enough that he hopes she won't notice. She is not pleased when she catches on.
  • Pop-Cultural Osmosis Failure: Pink doesn't understand Jing's frequent Star Wars references, accusing her of "speaking in tongues".
