  • During a flashback to Shizuka going on a fishing trip with Joseph, her adopted dad starts snickering as he imagines Kars still floating around in outer space.
  • The Flashback Cut in Chapter 14. Upon learning Morgana needs a driver, Shizuka thinks about the time she drove...
And there was Shizuka, just twelve, and clinging to the wheel of the van for dear life. "I can't reach the pedals!" she exclaimed. Oh dear, they were heading for a very steep hill.
    "AAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
    • When the story returns to the present, Shizuka says someone else should drive in a surprisingly calm fashion.
  • In chapter 15, with the group trying to bait Ann's 'stalker' (Yusuke) into the open, the scene plays out relatively close to how it does in canon... except this time Shizuka was lurking above Yusuke on a lamppost, set to jump down and legdrop him "Hulk Hogan style."
  • Rohan apparently looks the exact same in 2017 as he did in 1999, leading to theories that he's secretly a vampire.
    • Also Rohan nonchalantly calling Madarame a hack and a fraud at his own exhibit, heedless of anyone hearing him.
    • Also, this exchange after the fact:
Akira: "He seemed to know your brother. Is he friends with Josuke?"
      Shizuka: (cheerfully) "Nope!"
  • When it turns out they need Ann to act as a 'nude model' for Yusuke in order to gain access to Madarame's home, Ann asks if Shizuka could take her place. Shizuka suddenly flashes her friends, making them all scream until they realise she's used her Stand to make her torso invisible just to mess with them.
    • Then, when they fall into Madarame's Palace to get away from his security staff, Ann lands butt-first on Shizuka. Shizuka is surprisingly fine with this.
  • When discussing how to reach Kaneshiro’s Palace, Shizuka doodles her plan on a whiteboard. Badly. Akira actually has to restrain Yusuke to prevent him from making a hostile takeover.
    • Throughout the discussion, Shizuka repeatedly sniffs the markers. She actually has to be reminded to rejoin the conversation at one point.
  • When it comes up that they somehow have to fly to Kaneshiro's Palace floating in the Metaverse's sky, Shizuka enlists Sergio and his momentum-propelling Stand Breakthru to give Mona a boost. Though it works, everyone regrets the experience.
Ann: BAD IDEA! BAD IDEA! BAD IDEA!
    Ryuji: I'm... gonna... puke!
Mona: DON'T YOU DARE THROW UP INSIDE ME!
    (After landing)
Akira: Is everyone still alive? Okay, everyone has... two minutes to go puke, and then we're going inside.
  • In chapter 31 Shizuka becomes giddy when Makoto notices her. Realizing this, Shizuka internally bemoans becoming an 'animu cliche.'
  • In chapter 33 Sergio Rapid-Fire Interrupting Kaneshiro during his attempts to introduce the infamous Piggytron, culminating in a moment straight out of Dragon Ball Z Abridged.
"Sorry. I have a hearing disability. Whenever I hear a piece of shit talk to me, all I can hear is 'please punt me into the nearest wall'. How rude of me."
  • Shizuka plans on toughening Haru up so she can defend herself if her fiance comes after her. She asks Haru to punch her in the face, and Haru decks her so hard that it nearly knocks Shizuka on her ass.
Shizuka: What the hell is your hand made of?!
    Haru: Bones?
  • Shizuka notes that hosts are something about Japan she feels she'll never understand 'much like pachinko and the entire idol industry.'
  • When escaping Futaba's Palace in Chapter 46:
Shizuka: HOUDINI THE WORLD! HOUDINI THE WORLD!
Ryuji: WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOIN'?!
Shizuka: ASKING FOR A MIRACLE THAT CLEARLY AIN'T HAPPENING!
    • Shortly after their frantic escape, the others briefly fear that they left Shizuka behind because they can't see her. Then their worries are interrupted by the sounds of her profusely vomiting in an adjacent alleyway.
  • Chapter 49. Shizuka decides to help Futaba by bringing her to Tonio Trussardi. The silliness starts when she tells the others how his power works. When has Body Horror been Played for Laughs?
    • Also the incident itself. The Phantom Thieves' screaming doesn't end until several minutes after the body reconstruction does.
      Akira: Shizuka... what the fuck?!
  • Chapter 51 features several former members of SEES, along with Naoto, discussing the situation between the Arditi and Shido’s conspiracy. Mitsuru brings up the history of the Speedwagon Foundation, much to Yukari’s confusion.
  • During the trip to Hawaii, Shizuka defeating Hol Horse by accidentally elbowing him in the balls, without once realising she was in danger. And then throwing money at him by way of apology. He’s surprisingly okay with this.
  • The Phantom Thieves run into Jotaro and Jolyne on their Hawaii trip, and Ann can't help but fawn over Jotaro's good looks. Shizuka has to remind her that Jotaro is 47 and a widower.
  • Shizuka's reaction to Jotaro finding the Phantom Thieves after a long, nearly lethal battle.
"Guys, guys! Oh wow, thank god you're alright! Oh ah... M-my darling Nephew! Fancy seeing you here!"
    • There's something oddly amusing about the fact that the only reason Jotaro showed up was the fact that he was on a beer run.
    • The fact that Jotaro saw Shizuka's Stand carrying the Chemical Brothers despite them being invisible leads Shizuka to believe that Jotaro is psychic.
  • In the fifth interlude, Shizuka goes on a looooong mental tirade on the film Pearl Harbor while trying to find a movie she and Makoto can watch. It ends with her mentally screaming about how shit it is and how much she hates it.
  • As soon as Death 13 appears, Akira asks if it's really possible for a Stand to have the power to manipulate the cognitive world. Sergio flatly says that anything's possible since there is a Stand that shoots out rainbows that turn people into snails.
  • When confronted by Arisawa's Shadow, and hearing his motivation is due to a perceived decline in the country after World War 2, Sergio's reaction to him is less than impressed.
"Or you could getting over it, like a normal person. The rest of the country is getting on fine... You stupid bastard..."
  • Shizuka's reaction to Anat:
    "HOLY SHIT! IT'S AN AUTOBOT!"
  • Everyone's reactions to Morgana's transformation into a human boy, mostly due to the fact he is completely Naked on Arrival.
    • Most of the team did the reasonable thing and looked away. Except for Yusuke, who chose to look on in quiet fascination. And Shizuka, who snuck a peek through her fingers.
  • Okabe's Stand, Sing You Sinners, turns the area surrounding him into a cartoon world that works on Cartoon Physics and logic, including no swearing. For such a tense battle, it's hilarious.
    • It also warps other people's powers too, such as turning Makoto's Persona into a bicycle with a face on it.
    • In order to escape from the battle to get something that can turn the tide, Shizuka uses the Painted Tunnel, Real Train trick, and it works.
    • Made funnier by Yusuke being convinced there's no way Shizuka's plan can work... and then quietly accepting what just happened when it actually does work out.
    • The following chapter has Shizuka come back with her secret weapon... a can of spinach. While everyone is confused by the context, Futaba is ecstatic while Okabe has realized that he's screwed.
  • At the end of Sojiro's confidant, when he asks that Akira not 'get with' Futaba, Akira freezes completely solid.
Akira remained frozen in place, his glassy eyes affixed to a blank wall of the church. Though he wished for death, he was unable to die. Eventually, Akira stopped thinking.
  • Echoes ACT 3 appears only once in the story, but he makes that one line count.
    "Motherfuckers are down, master!"
  • After returning to her true form, Lavenza explains to Akira how Morgana is necessary to his success, as she created him from hope to counter Yaldabaoth’s apathy. Akira has but one thing to ask:
”And... why does he look like a cat?" Akira asked.
Lavenza regarded him in silence for a few moments.
"Because cats are cute," she replied, speaking with the concerned tone of a schoolteacher who had just been asked a painfully obvious question.
  • When the three JoJos meet up after the final encounter, Jotaro comments that he needs a drink and Josuke agrees. Shizuka invites herself, but her brother and nephew veto her.
  • Akira and Futaba's Big Damn Kiss is interrupted by Sojiro. All Akira can do is admit that yes, it is exactly what it looks like.
  • After the Arditi agree to go against Maruki's world Lavenza pops in to talk. However, she first requests a Big Bang burger to eat.
  • There is something oddly humorous that Akio and Lars' Metaverse "outfits" are just their suits (since they are already rebels), while their "masks" are a pair of sunglasses.
