Claudia Jordan
Claudia Jordan
Full-time: Season 7
Guest: Season 8; 13; 15
"Spell bridesmaids! The "s" is not silent, honey!"
—To NeNe. "Puerto Read-co!" (Season 7, Episode 10).
Claudia's tropes:
- Convenient Character Replacement: For Porsha.
- Friend of the Housewives: Claudia was originally supposed to be this while Demetria was the designated peach-holder. Surprisingly enough, it was NeNe who advocated for Claudia to be promoted to the cast after the infamous reading session in Puerto Rico (Episode 10).
- Irony: Her tagline is a strong example of this when you realize she was only around for one season."Don't hate me because I'm beautiful. Hate me because I'm here to stay!"
- Mixed-Race Discrimination: Claudia recounts being made fun of as a little girl for being biracial; as well as racist attacks against her family due to her parents' interracial marriage.
- NeNe even makes a comment about "half-breeds" that offended Claudia.
Kim Fields
Kim Fields
Full-time: Season 8
"Don't let me cut these chicks with my mouth!"'
— Season 8
Kim's tropes:
- Beware the Nice Ones: Kenya finally got a taste of Kim's nastier side during the Season 8 reunion.
- Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: Departed after Season 8. And will likely never return.
- Convenient Character Replacement: For NeNe after her Season 7 departure. The two women are polar opposites on the show.
- Fish out of Water: And how!
- Happily Married: To her husband Christopher Morgan. She shares two sons with him.
Shamari DeVoe
Shamari DeVoe
"I was an A-list when you were an alias!"
— To Marlo. Season 11
Full-time: Season 11
Shamari first rose to fame in the late 1990s as the lead singer of R&B girl group Blaque. They are best known for their hit single "Bring It All To Me" which features JC Chasez of *NSYNC. Since then, she married Ronnie DeVoe of New Edition and Bell Biv DeVoe with whom she shares twin boys. She joins the cast in Season 11 in the wake of Kenya' s departure.Shamari's tropes:
- Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: Shamari has never appeared again after Season 11.
- Convenient Character Replacement: For Kenya.
- Girl Group: One-third of the group Blaque.
Eva Marcille
Eva Marcille Sterling
- Full-time: Season 11-12Friend of the Housewives: Season 10]]Guest: Season 13
Eva's tropes:
- Friendship Denial: Eva to Yovanna in Season 11. The two women went to school together and Eva's best friend is a close mutual friend of hers. Yovanna remembers Eva but Eva doesn't remember her at all.
- Happily Married: To husband Michael Sterling. She is planning their wedding during Season 10.
- Put on a Bus: Eva leaves the cast after the conclusion of Season 12.
- Promoted to Opening Credits: In Season 11.
Drew Sidora
Drew Sidora Pittman
- Full-time: Season 13-present
Drew's tropes:
- Actress Allusion: Drew makes reference to her role in The Game in her Season 13 tagline.
- Baby Of The Bunch: In Season 13 and currently, being just a few months younger than Sanya.
- Beta Bitch: Is this to Porsha during her initial season. Following Porsha's departure, she is able to begin coming into her own as a Housewife.
- Hair Flip: In Sayna's face at the Season 14 reunion, much to Sanya's chagrin.
- Token Religious Teammate: She picked up the mantle where Phaedra left it. Like her predecessor, Drew was raised by preacher parents. In her debut season, Drew was a firm believer in the preacher "prophet" and even called Latoya a "Delilah spirit"note .
Marlo Hampton
Marlo Hampton
Full-time: Seasons 14-15
Friend of the Housewives: Season 4; 10-13
Guest: Season 6; 8-9
"My past may be checkered, but my future is solid gold."
—eason 15 tagline.
- Abandonment Issues: They're evident with Marlo. She hates feeling left out. To quote Kenya: "Marlo would come to the opening of an envelope." Her Season 4 argument with ShereƩ started because she didn't invite her a dinner party she was going to in South Africa.
- Arch-Enemy: Self-appointed to Kandi. In honor of her promotion to full-time cast, she vowed to "make Kandi work for her peach."
- Marlo and Kandi also got into it pretty bad at the Season 4 reunion back in 2012. Things haven't changed much since then.
- She also serves as this to both Kenya and Porsha, albeit at different times.
- The Dragon: To NeNe when she was on the show. It's ironic because at the Season 5 reunion, NeNe theorized that Phaedra brought Marlo into the show intending to antagonize her.
- The Fashionista: Marlo's calling card (aside from being a shitstirrer). She debuts her clothing store Le'Archive in Season 14's premiere episode.
- Friend of the Housewives: Via Phaedra, NeNe, Kenya, Kandi, ShereƩ (damn near half the cast).
- She occupied this role for years before her Season 14 promotion. Marlo is by far the most notable "Friend Of" of the Atlanta series and perhaps the entire Real Housewives franchise.
- The Friend Nobody Likes: Marlo has been in conflict with every Housewife she has been on the show with with the exception of Phaedra. In Season 15, she instigates problems with half the cast—Kandi, Kenya, Drew, and even Monyetta.
- Irony: Marlo accused Kandi of not being open enough with her life on the show yet Kandi has historically been the most transparent member of the Atlanta cast. The audience still doesn't know too much about Marlo's life.
- Nephewism: Marlo takes in her two nephews after Season 9. She calls herself s "munty" (mom and auntie) in reference to her new role.
- Parental Abandonment: Marlo grew up in the foster care system due to her mother being unable to raise her and her siblings.
- Producer's Pet: It can't go unnoticed how Marlo's antics in Seasons 14 and 15 seem to be spun in a way that is favorable for her by production. The Season 14 reunion was set up for Marlo to have a pity party despite her antagonization of both Kenya and Kandi. Becomes more blatantly obvious in Season 15. There is one instance where editors left out a scene from Episode 3 where she yelled in Drew's face when Drew brought up her aggressive behavior.
- Promoted to Opening Credits: Finally in Season 14. Ten years after her initial appearance.
- Put on a Bus: Between Seasons 5 and 7, Marlo only made one guest appearance in Season 6 due to a falling out with NeNe who refused to film with Marlo for a while.
- The Bus Came Back: Clearly. When NeNe stepped away from the series after Season 7, Marlo was able to make her way back into the cast.
- Wham Line: "Kandi... are you a lesbian?" in Season 9.
Sanya Richards-Ross
Sanya Richards-Ross
Full-time: Seasons 14-15
"I may be a rookie, but this isn't my first race."
Sanya joined the cast in Season 14. She is introduced to the audience via Drew.—Sanya's Season 14 tagline.
Sanya's tropes:
- Arch-Nemesis: Sanya can hardly stand Drew. Drew doesn't really know where this comes from and doesn't much reciprocate the dislike.
- Beta Bitch: Becomes this to Marlo. Especially noticeable in Season 15 as she begins to have issues with Kandi due to her constant defense of Marlo despite her antagonism of Kandi, Kenya, and Drew.
- The Big Race: Sanya is a retired Olympic track and field medalist. Her taglines in Seasons 14 and 15 make reference to her racing career.
- Multigenerational Household: Along with her husband and their son, Sanya shares her home with her parents, sister, brother-in-law, and two nephews. Sanya loves it, but her husband is ready to be the only king in his castle.
- Team Switzerland: Sanya thinks she's this but is clearly Team Marlo in her drama with Kandi, Kenya, and Drew.
