    In General 
  • Beneath the Earth: The Underground World, as it name implied, is a domain located beneath the surface of the earth, as it was a place that didn't exist originally during the Mythical Age, being created after Anos' reincarnation.
  • Dragon Ancestry: The draconids are descendants of dragons due to the fact that they were created by dragons consuming a variety of sources, and then producing a unique form of draconid called the Dragon Child, which possess the power of dragons. The current inhabitants of the Underground World are the 8th and 9th generation of descendants, as their dragon blood thinned out.
  • Henotheistic Society: While residents of the Underground World worship the gods, they place a particular emphasis on the worship of the <Almighty Brilliance> Eques. Though various countries like Giordal and Agaha have differences in interpretations of how to worship him.
  • Mêlée à Trois: There are three major nations in the Underground World: Giordal, Agaha and Gadeisiola; and all three of them are in mutual conflict with each other due to religious differences. While there are small countries present in the Underground World, they lack the power and resources to obtain greater influence.
  • Summon Magic: The residents of the Underground World have created and mastered a unique variant of summoning magic, which allows them to summon dragons and gods. It was due to this that they were able to survive the harsh nature of the Underground World, which was devoid of sunlight and food.

Dragon God's Country Giordal

    In General 
The country is governed by the Order of Giordal, with the Pope at the top, who believes in the supreme god: the <Almighty Brilliance> Eques. It is a country where draconids live, but the public order is not bad because it is accepting of demons and humans.
  • Church Militant: Giordal has two types of religious orders: priest and holy knights. Priest mostly fight via magic while holy knights fight with their bodies and weapons.
  • The Rival: To Agaha, due to their differences in religious teachings.
  • The Theocracy: Giordal is ruled by a pope by a Pope, who serves as both a religious leader and ruler of the country at once.

    Ahid Alobo Agatse

He is a Cardinal of the Giordal Cult; and one of the Eight Gods' Selected: the Oracle.


  • A God Am I: He proclaims himself a god after absorbing Arcana into himself. However, he still maintains his belief in the gods despite this. Anos calls him out on it after Ahid starts losing and begging the gods for insight.
  • Bad Boss: He orders his subordinates to burn themselves in a religious fervor in order to increase the power of Arcana's authority, in order to allow her to escape from Shin stabbing her with a demon sword.
  • Big Bad Wannabe: Despite being the Big Bad for the fifth arc of the series, it is noted that he wouldn't be much of a threat if it weren't for the fact that he was under Arcana's protection, due to their pact. Anos even calls him out on it, as Anos could have easily killed him after Ahid had separated himself from Arcana due to commanding her to destroy Midhaze.
  • Drunk with Power: He lets his newfound divine power go to his head, as he tries to destroy the holy city Gaelahesta in order to use the death of its inhabitants to empower the Moon of Creation. Arcana calls him out on it and he asks for her forgiveness, stating that it was Anos' fault for trying to humiliate him that made him decide on that.
  • The Fundamentalist: He thinks that his belief in the gods is absolute correct and anyone who disagrees is a heretic, who is beneath him, worthy or only either pity or contempt.
  • Holier Than Thou: Oh, so much! He is always spouting about his enlightened belief and demeaning supposed "heretics" for their lack of belief in the gods.
  • In-Series Nickname: Anos nicknamed him the "Swindler", due to his hypocrisy and false attempt to attribute all mortal actions to the work of the gods.
  • Powers via Possession: He later has Arcana possess him during his fight with Anos, in order to gain her divine power.
  • Unskilled, but Strong: After he gains Arcana's powers, his power becomes much greater but it is noted by Anos that he isn't proficient in using them as he would simply try to crush Anos with his power and was incapable of looking properly into Anos' abyss.

Dragon King's Country Agaha

    In General 
A land of knights who are prophets and ruled by the Sword Emperor. Although they believe in the god <Almighty Brilliance> Eques like Giordal, Agaha believes that God resides in each person, and they are ideologically opposed due to differences in their beings.
  • Dragon Knight: The most skilled warriors of Agaha join the order of Dragon Knights, which is the main fighting force of Agaha.
  • The Rival: To Giordal, due to their differences in religious teachings.
  • Warrior Monk: Unlike Giordal, which focuses on prayer and fealty to the "Almighty Brilliance" Eques, the citizens of Agaha believe that god's will resides in all of them, and that each person must be as strong as possible to avert the "Day of Disaster".

He is the Sword Emperor who reigns over Agaha, as well as being one of the Eight Gods' Selected; with the title of "Prophet".
  • Blessed with Suck: While the power to see into the future is useful in ruling and helping managing his country, he is also forced to see the tragedies that would befall his citizens, as he cannot tell them their fates or else allowing them to lose their reason to live.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Despite being a capable ruler, his ability to see into the future had left him bored, so he is excited to experience new things, such as the Fan Union's songs, which he finds highly entertaining, to the point of singing them in front of his subject and gets them join in.
  • Friendly Enemy: He and Anos eventually come to blows but have no enmity towards each other due to the fact that thei goal of saving the Underground World is the same, but the differ in their approach. Diedrich wants to opt for a Self-Sacrifice Scheme, which would guarantee the safety of Underground World, while Anos wants to find a way to save both the world and Diedrich himself.
  • Large and in Charge: He is a towering giant of a man and is the leader of Agaha, as he sometimes leads his knights in battle.
  • Powers via Possession: During his battle against Anos, he has Nafta possess him to gain her divine powers.
  • Rank Scales with Asskicking: He is the leader of his country and possibly the most powerful among his draconid warriors.
  • Seers: Due to his pact with Nafta, he can see into the future by borrowing the power of her divine eyes. However, the farther the future, the more difficult it is to perceive and understand what leads to it.

Dragon Overlord's Country Gadeisiola

    In General 
A mysterious country ruled by the Overlord. It is said that all faith must be abandoned in order to enter, and a person who once entered the country is never allowed to leave the country again.
  • False Utopia: Despite Viaflare claims that Gadeisiola is a utopia for those who have suffered at the hands of the gods, it is noted that she exerts control over her citizens by controlling their actions via the power of the God of Parasites.
  • Hegemonic Empire: Gadeisiola maintains its influence by welcoming immigrants due to being the only country in the Underground World that has a specific Nay-Theist belief, compared to all of the other countries that worship the gods.
  • Rage Against the Heavens: People who come to Gadeisiola have abandoned their faith in the gods, due to various misfortunes that were the result of the gods or the fact that the gods did not grant miracles to save them or the people close to them.
