Main Characters

    Okuhara Jin
Jin was once a High-Schooler in Japan before he was transported to the Tentacle Hole, where he transformed into a small tentacle monster.
  • Above the Influence: Inverted. Jin's tentacle instincts take hold of him upon his first encounter with Hiori and engages in naughty tentacles with her for about three pages before she repels him, after which he regains his senses and crawls into a capsule for her safety. Afterwards, Jin has been resisting his impulses to violate compromised women.
  • Cute Slime Mook: Jin's basic form has this look.
  • Flower Mouth: That little bulb at the top of Jin's scalp? That's the mouth he uses for eating. The mouth on his face doesn't have a throat, and is only useful for talking.
  • Forced Transformation: Upon arriving in the Tentacle Hole, Jin was soon consumed by a tentacle monster. This somehow converted Jin into his current form, which the monster spat out.
  • Good Scars, Evil Scars: Jin had a scar on this left cheek when he was human. He lacks this scar while in his basic tentacle form, but it reappears in his super mode.
  • Huge Guy, Tiny Girl: Jin had this dynamic Komachi when he was human. His basic tentacle form? Not so much.
  • Involuntary Shapeshifting: When Jin's tentacle instincts take over, or when he becomes agitated, his body becomes distorted and bulb on his scalp changes into more tentacles. While Jin is resisting these urges, his body is covered in throbing veins.
  • The Medic: Jin's basic form can secrete fluids capable of healing injuries. These fluids can be sprayed on external injures to heal them, but internal injuries require swallowing the fluids.
  • Super Mode: Jin has transformed into a more humanoid form on two occasions: First after being impaled by a tentacle monster, and again in order to save Hiori from a controlled Aishu.
  • Support Party Member: While in his basic form, Jin's only means of fighting is by body-slamming his enemies, and this only works on monsters around the same size as him. Thus, his main contribution is using his fluids to heal his allies. His super mode is a different story...
  • Tall Is Intimidating: Upon her request, Jin scares off one of Komachi's persistant senpais, thanks in part to his large physique. Jin loses this atribute when he becomes a tentacle monster but regains it while in his super mode.
  • Tentacle Hair: Jin's scalp is adorned with thick prehensile tentacles.
  • Wife-Basher Basher: Displays shades of this. Seeing Siberio abusing Lyrara riles him up, but a look from Hiori stops Jin from doing anything about it.

    Hiori
Captain of the First Squadron.
  • Stripperific: Hiori's outfit for traveling into the Tentacle hold consists of a top that doesn't even cover the whole chest, a pair of suspenders over her breasts, hotpants, a high collar, shoulder pads, and a hood. She claims that it makes it easier to fight the tentacles, but wears a cloak when she's not fighting.

First Squadron

An Abyssal Survey Squadron under the command of Hiori, consisting of Vice-Captain Akuro, Lingue, Spiriha, and Ventamers

    First Squadron
  • Plug 'n' Play Friends: Once Hiori and Lingue vouch for Jin, the rest of the First Squadron drop their animosity towards their new tentacled ally.

Second Squadron

An Abyssal Survey Squadron that values family status.

    Aishu
Captain of the Second Squadron.
  • Aristocrats Are Evil: Averted. Aishu fights against the tentacles, but takes issue with First Squadron saving her own, considering them to be disgraceful peasents.

    Lylara
  • Decoy Damsel: Zig-zagged. Lyrana offers herself to the tentacles so that she can destroy them while their guard is down. However, she quickly loses her nerve and needs to be saved for real.

    Siberio
  • Bad Boss: Siberio has no problems physically and verbally abusing Lyrara when she fails in her decoy duties.
  • Body Horror: Tentacle!Siberio is not a pretty sight, to say the least.

Other

    Amamiya Komachi

    Dazune
Research Team Leader
  • Revenge: Dazune claims this is his motivation for working in the Abyssal Survey Squadrons.

    Ginberell
Survey Squadron General
  • Masquerade: Regarding that Jin and Komachi come from another world, he wants to keep it under wraps. Only he, Hiori, and Dazune know about it. He goes as far as to give Hiori credit for a kill performed by a transformed Jin.
