Okuhara Jin was about to confess to his childhood friend Amamiya Komachi when they were suddenly transported to another world. The location they were in happened to be filled with tentacle monsters and Jin was eaten by a large tentacle monster.
When he regained conciousness, he discovered that he was now in the body of a small tentacle monster that was spat out by the large tentacle monster that ate him earlier. Jin discovers that his new tentacle body causes him to periodically lose control and attack females with his tentacles.
He now tries to discover the mystery of the hole they were in, dubbed "Tentacle Hole", together with the group of explorers who rescued his childhood friend.
Tentacle Hole (テンタクル・ホール) is a Dark Fantasy manga penned by Senga Shiki and drawn by Ishida Kazuma it began serialisation in "Young Dragon Age" on March 29, 2021.
Tentacle Hole contains examples of:
- Achilles' Heel: The tentacle creatures can regenerate, every part of their body except their crystal core, which if destroyed it is over for them.
- Asshole Victim:
- Siberio when he was turned into a tentacle hybrid after escaping from the giant tentacle that injured him and wiped out his team.
- Aishu after she was captured by the tentacles and given their track record, nothing pleasant is happening to her.
- Badass in Distress: Hiori often finds herself in these situations even though she is an extremely capable fighter
- Combat Tentacles: The tentacles creatures and even Jin, the main hero use their tentacles to attack humans and even tentacles creatures.
- Crapsack World:
- The surface world is described as this by Hiori, she prefers diving in a hole with a 20% survival rate rather than living there.
- There are even girls like Lylara who are used as tentacle bait and are abused by her squadmates. And the reason she is even there in the first place is to earn money.
- Cruel and Unusual Death:
- In Chapter 3: Where men apart of the second squadron were skewered by tentacles.
- Happens to girls that were captured by the Bonfire tentacle and had their faces melted to the point where only their skulls are showing.
- Happens to men in Chapter 8, where they are ripped and half and hung in vines on trees. Also happens offscreen to some girls that were drilled through by the Spiral tentacle.
- Distracted by the Sexy: This is one of the tentacles' main weaknesses, to the point where it causes them to lose focus and the battle as well
- Does This Remind You of Anything?: In chapter 6, six girls from the second squadron are connected to each other by tentacles. This reminds readers of the movie Human Centipede.
- Downfall by Sex: The tentacles get so focused on the scent of a women that they ignore everything and attack them, thus leaving their cores open to attack.
- Hollywood Atheist: Hiori does not believe in God because the horrors in the hole taught her there is no God.
- Mars Needs Women: The tentacle creatures have a fixation on capturing human woman alive
- Monster Misogyny: The tentacle creatures capture women to sexually assault them while they kill the men they come across. Even the more intelligent Demi-human tentacles are like this.
- Naughty Tentacles: As can be inferred from the volume cover and name of the series, this manga is chalked full of this.
- Skewed Priorities: The tentacles tend to ignore everything in order to assault women to the point where leaving women as bait is a strategy defeat the stronger ones
- Swallowed Whole: A tentacle does this to a random research team member and tried to do it to Lylara as well.
