     General
  • Ragtag Bunch of Misfits: An arrogant rabbit, his loyal accomplice, triplets consisting of the loose cannon, an envious sister and a “elder sister” braggart, the Team Mom and the redeemed nephew of the evil legend Old Man McGregor.

     Peter Rabbit
Voiced by: James Corden
He is the main protagonist as usual but he isn't as nice to everybody and is lazy, arrogant and manipulative until the end when he sees his own true colors and apologizes for his actions against Thomas McGregor and indirectly Bea.
  • Adaptational Jerkass: He is not evil per se but he still acts arrogant and actually killed Mr. McGregor (who actually died of a heart attack). He eventually sees that his actions have consequences as he apologizes for his arrogance against Thomas.
  • Anti-Hero: Sure, he may be a bit wild but he has never murdered somebody before. That's not even counting the traps he set against Thomas McGregor. But luckily, he changes for the better and uses his tricks to chase away a couple that got back at Thomas.
  • Jerkass Realization: After Bea realizes Thomas' true colors and drives him back to London, he feels guilty and decides to atone for his actions.
  • Wrong Genre Savvy: Pre-Character Development, he thinks he is protecting the gardens by assaulting its owners. Not only does it wind up culminating in Bea dumping Thomas, but at one point he accidentally killed Mr. McGregor while getting baked into a pie.

     Benjamin Bunny
Voiced by: Colin Moody

     Mopsy
  • Flat Character: Considering her previous role as a twin alongside Flopsy, she is only there to be an associate to Peter's trickery.

     Flopsy
Voiced by: Margot Robbie

  • Breakout Character: She has appeared in the toy line as much as Peter and Benjamin and has enough scenes in the movie to reveal some important strings such as her being the true eldest sister up until Cottontail's question that if they knew that she is the oldest and her true identity as the Narrator of the film in The Stinger.
  • Satellite Character: Considering her previous role as a twin alongside Mopsy, she is only there to be an associate to Peter's trickery but that doesn't stop her from having as much scenes as her other friends.

     Cottontail

Cottontail (Spoilers for the Film)

Voiced by: Daisy Ridley
  • Ascended Extra: From a sweet and cute little girl in the show to the team's loose cannon and the eldest sister as she pointed out herself.
  • Breakout Character: Even before the supportive twist reveal that she is the surprise oldest sister, she has been as much of a popular character in the film as Peter Rabbit if not moreso. She even gets Rule of Funny cred for her two breaking ribs scenes.
  • The Reveal: It is ultimately revealed through a mild version of Armor-Piercing Question that Cottontail is the true eldest sister and always has been.
  • Satellite Character: She has as much scenes in the movie than her sisters if not more so as she was shown giving McGregor a wet Willy.
  • Toyless Toyline Character: She is only seen in a figurine set on Amazon. However, it’s possible that it may change in the upcoming 2020 sequel.
  • Walking Spoiler: A minor one, but The Reveal of her being the true elder sister is an extremely pivotal part of the climax of the film. It is also previously believed that she is like the little sister shown in the 2012 series of the same name and the reveal of her true role in the film is a massive spoiler for the older Peter Rabbit fans. Basically, everything about her is a minor yet extremely pivotal spoiler in itself.

     Bea
Portrayed by: Rose Byrne
  • Happily Married: She marries Thomas as seen in the teaser trailer for the sequel.
  • Speak Ill of the Dead: While she tries otherwise, in the end even she can't find anything nice to say about the late Old Man MacGregor and makes insulting comments about him to Thomas' face before finding out he's McGregor's next of kin.
  • Team Mom: She serves as this to the Bunnies to the point of moving to London with them.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: She calls Peter out after a scuffle destroys one of her paintings and dumps Thomas after witnessing how much of an extremist and liar he really is which prompts the start of Peter's atonement.

     Thomas McGregor
Portrayed by: Domhnall Gleeson
  • Anti-Villain: He only is the villain because he mistakenly thinks animals are just pests, which changes when he has a remorse equal to Peter's and they make up.
  • Arch-Enemy: To Peter, until the end.
  • Big Bad: The closest thing the film has to a villain up until his Heel–Face Turn.
  • Comedic Underwear Exposure: During his battle with Peter his belt is grabbed and his pants are pulled down revealing white and blue checkered boxers
  • Happily Married: After his Heel–Face Turn, he marries Bea as seen in the teaser trailer for the sequel.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: While he may be a short-tempered douche, he is responsible for maintaining the McGregor garden while Peter's family pillages from it without offering anything in return.
  • Manipulative Bastard: Able to manipulate Bea into thinking the opposite of him until he is dumped for doing so, triggering his Jerkass Realization.
  • Team Dad: Becomes this after his Heel–Face Turn to the point of trying to get Peter to stay out of trouble which possibly kicks off the sequel’s plot.
