    General 
  • Badass Crew: They are group of misfits fighting along each other against the forces of evil. Each are tough and strong in their own ways.
  • Fire-Forged Friends: While Dogman annoys Chief and Li'l Petey annoys Petey, the local policeman and formerly evil cat respectively both care about them deeply.
  • Ragtag Bunch of Misfits: Dogman, a half man, half dog, was called being a misfit in Book 5. His friends cheered him up by saying that they are misfits too. Even local actress Yolay Caprese admits she a misfit underneath her perfect good looks.

The titular half-dog, half-man superhero who protects his city from all kinds of dastardly villains. He is friendly and playful, but when danger arises, he'll do anything he can to save the day.


  • The Ace: Fast and quick when Dogman is catching the bad guys.
  • Aesop Amnesia: Dogman can be forgetful at times. The Chief has to remind to stop prancing around him or acting like a dog while on the job.
  • All-Loving Hero: Dogman is kind to everyone even Cats which he adopt one.
  • All of the Other Reindeer: When Dogman was framed in Book 5, he was shunned and bullied by Maude and other policesmens saying he not a real dog or a real man but a misfit. The jail dogs at first hated Dogman but soon regret how they treated Dogman.
  • Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!!: One of his main weakness is that Dogman gets distracted easily by seeing a ball or other stuff dogs really love. As in Book 7, its his destruction became his worst fear, as Dr. Scum use his invention The Burgel Balls to scare off Dogman.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: He is the world best cop ,Man’s Best friend but don’t get on his bad side because he may be part man but he is still part dog. Dogs takes a Big bite out of crime.
  • Badass Cape: As the Bark Knight, he wears a blue long cape.
  • Blue Is Heroic: He wears all kind of blue, his police uniform and his superhero alter ego
  • Break the Cutie: In book 5, Dogman’s feeling was hurt so bad when everywhere he go he was called a misfit when he was frame from a crime he did not commit and shunned by the other dogs.
  • Hero Protagonist: He's the main protagonist, part man, part dog all Dogman saving his town evildoers as a police officer.

     Petey the Cat

An evil cat who was turned good by his clone son Li'l Petey.


  • Anti-Hero: Petey may have changed for good thanks to his son clone Lil Petey, but he can still be aggressive (although he is right to get irritated when Li'l Petey, Molly, and Big Jim annoy him). He also still has parts of his lab with one of his evil inventions from the past.
  • Armored Villains, Unarmored Heroes: In Book 4, Petey wore a supervillain costume to match his persona while Dogman and friends wears heroes masks.
  • The Atoner: Petey now helps Dogman and his crew after Li'l Petey convinces him to be good. He tries to turn over a new leaf, but it gets harder for him since almost no one in town wants to give him a second chance.
  • Darkand Troubled Past: His mother's died and his father abandoned him when he was just a kitten.
  • Even Bad Men Love Their Mamas: Petey loves his mother dearly without her around Petey become evil.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: His love for his son it what made him stop being a villain and his love for his mother what started him to be a villain when she passed away
  • The Engineer: Petey invents robot mechs in his secret lab, and sometimes his son helps.
  • Fire-Forged Friends: Petey was Dogman’s arch enemy, and everyone Petey encountered was afraid of him. However, as he turned good, although Petey claims not to be, he befriended Dogman and his crew.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Petey gets irritated very easily, but he still cares deeply for his son and he eventually changes for the better. He even went so far as to let go of his hatred for his evil father and forgive him.

     Li'l Petey 
Petey’s clone/son kind yet naïve kitten. His super alter ego os Cat Kid, and he is the President of Cat Kid Comic Club.
  • Adorably Precocious Child: Despite his young age, Li'l Petey is capable of inventing robots and solving problems. He also makes comic books that inspires the baby tadpoles to follow his method and make their own. It was Li'l Petey’s loving heart that helped Petey change from evil to good.
  • Badass Adorable: He's a cute kitten who fights evil alongside Dogman and 80-HD.
  • Cheerful Child: He's always dancing around singing songs, and he gives everyone a helping paw. He loves playing games with Dogman, 80- HD, and Molly.
  • Kid-Appeal Character: Before he had his own book series with Molly and the tadpoles, Li'l Petey was the only kid in the Dogman series for young audiences to relate.
  • Keet: Lil Petey imitates Dogman and loves to play around that can get on Petey’s nerves.

     80-Hexotron Droidformigon/ 80 HD 
  • Benevolent A.I.: Originally program to obey Lil Petey’s ever command but the little kitten programmed him to be it own person and still willing to be the kind robot he was always met to be.
  • Crazy-Prepared: When its time to fight crime, 80-HD is prepared to give out the costumes and fight crime with Dogman and Lil Petey.
  • Cuddle Bug: 80-HD loves to give hugs to everyone, much to Petey’s dismay.
  • Heart Drive: Lil Petey’s reprogrammed 80HD to be its own person instead of leaving him, 80HD stay and help his friend while he has his own free will he his has kindness in his heat drive.
  • Heroic Build: While wearing his cape but otherwise he’s a loveable creative friendly robot.
  • Robot Buddy: The Best Robot Buddy anyone can ever have. He’s always there when his friends are in trouble.
  • The Pollyanna: While 80HD doesn’t have eyes or lips, he’s always happy to give a helping hand.
