Keith Carlos
- Embarrassing Nickname: He got his nickname "Manaconda" from Tyra because of his huge you-know-what . . .
- I Coulda Been a Contender!: Keith is a former professional football player with the NFL who took up modeling after a career-ending injury.
- Definitely not the worst thing to happen, as he became the first ever male winner.
Will Jardell
- Straight Gay: While he is gay, he is by no means camp.
Adam Smith
- The Alcoholic: Through out the competition, he is seen drinking especially in later episodes. Tyra eventually gives him an ultimatum that he better stop drinking or he'll be eliminated.
- Character Development: At the very start of the season, there was nothing to indicate any chance of evolution. Then came the makeover and the Elvis photo shoot.
- Fratbro: And he still thinks it's his glory days despite bring 26. No wonder people had a bad first impression on him.
- Hidden Depths: He is pretty studious and knows about actuarial science.
- Obfuscating Stupidity: In an interview, he said he chose to be a frat boy for the show's entertainment.
- Smarter Than You Look: He may look dumb, but he is one of the most intelligent contestants of the cycle.
Lenox Tillman
- Hide Your Gays: Her being a lesbian didn't show due to Will.
- Last of Her Kind: The only female in the Final Four. Her elimination effectively marked the End of an Age.
- Marilyn Maneuver: The Seven Year Itch pose for the corresponding shoot.
- The Quiet One: Is incredibly quiet, even during shoots. But definitely not Out of Focus.
- Rule of Sexy: She was a victim from this, despite knowing that being a virgin doesn't mean you can't be sexy. Ironically, the photo that got her eliminated was because the judges thought that it was too sexy (hypocritical given that Guess ads had women posing sexily).
- Shrinking Violet: She is timid, but she quite fierce during photo shoots.
Shei Phan
- Only Known By Her Nickname: She's actually an "Andrea" instead of a "Shei Phan".
Chantelle Brown-Young
- Embarrassing Nickname: Adverted. Yu Tsai calls her "Panda", but she finds it insulting to the viewers.
- Inspirationally Disadvantaged: She has vitiligo, which causes her skin to gradually lose melanin.
- It also drew comparisons to the X-Men.
Raelia Lewis
- Rule of Sexy: Despite being a virgin like Lenox (who couldn't be sexy), Raelia was told that she came across as "too sexy". In what many fans consider a deliberate sabotage, during the MCM bags photoshoot she was once again reprimanded for being too sexy and in order for her to come across as "less" hoochie... they had her pose on all fours.
Mirjana Puhar
- Really Gets Around: Apparently has a boyfriend back home, but started "seeing" Denzel during the shoot.
Denzel Wells
- Rage Against the Mentor: Attributed to his inability to handle the bicycle during the optical illusion shoot. Yu Tsai even indicated that the guy looked like he was ready to clobber him.
Matthew Smith
- Ambiguously Bi: He claims he isn't bisexual, but says he's not one for "labels." Plus, he and Will kissed...
Kari Calhoun
- Ice Queen: A nickname from Tyra because of her makeover. Ironically, she portrayed as one in the Frozen photoshoot.
- Traumatic Haircut: Her hair and eyebrows were bleached blonde, which she felt made her look less attractive (though Keith was OK with her "stripper" look).
Ben Schreen
- Nice Guy: He is one of the nicest contestants of the cycle.
- Renaissance Man: His skills includes modeling, acting, dancing, and singing.
Romeo Tostado
- Jerkass: Came off as extremely arrogant in some places.
- Mystical White Hair: His makeover involved "icy blond hair," and his edit was clearly designed to look like his spell casting dictated the first two eliminations.
- Non-Gameplay Elimination: Was disqualified for headbutting Adam (yes, self-proclaimed party animal Adam) while drunk.
- Pretty Fly for a White Guy: A non-ethnic example. Claimed to be Wiccan, although this was mostly restricted to confessionals and claiming that he was going to cast spells on others and basically manipulate them. Anyone who has at least read about Wicca, even if they don't practice it, knows that you don't harm others, and you keep it silent.
Ivy Timlin
- '80s Hair: One of the points against her in the runway challenge that doomed her was that her pre-makeover blonde bob was "too 80s." Which was in no way her fault.
