While not exactly overexposed, a combination of high ratings and positive reception from the show's target audience has made Big City Greens quite the darling for Disney Channel.

  • Among the other Disney series such as Big Hero 6: The Series and DuckTales (2017), they renewed the series for a second season before it premiered.
  • It was able to start off with a week's worth of premieres that ranged from June 18th to 22nd, similar to DuckTales. The first episode (the two 11-minute segments) was also released on the Disney Now App and on YouTube ten days before its initial release on the channel.
  • As of late, Disney XD loves to air the show multiple times a day, even having weekend marathons.
  • When "Uncaged" premiered after the Disney Channel premiere of Moana, it got 925,000 views. A month later, and Disney Channel would increase its airtime to 4 times a day, and airs more than any animated series in regular Disney Channel airtime.
  • As of 2021, the show has been known to air around six to twelve times a day. It seems to have become the successor to Phineas and Ferb.
  • Matter of fact, the show has the most animated shorts out of any other Disney cartoon, having over thirty by the end of 2020.
  • In April 2021, the show became the most-watched series on Disney+ Latin America, surpassing The Simpsons and Miraculous Ladybug.
  • As of mid-2021, the show has become the only animated series on Disney Channel other than Miraculous to air every single day instead of only airing when new episodes are premiering, unlike Amphibia and The Owl House.
  • In January 2022, Disney officially greenlit the series for a fourth season, making it one of the very few Disney Channel originals to accomplish such a feat. note  Not only that, but a movie musical based off the show was also announced to be in production.
  • On June 21st, 2022, Disney announced that three already released episodes of Season 3 would be joined on Disney+ by a new episode, the mid-season finale "Rembo"/"Dirt Jar", on July 27th, three days ahead of it's linear TV premiere, making it the second Disney Channel original after The Ghost and Molly McGee to do so.
  • As of fall 2022, Disney XD airs the show every weekday from 12:00am to 10:00am, and that's not including the extra reruns outside of this slot. It's pretty much gotten to the point where if the show isn't airing on Disney Channel, its airing on Disney XD.
  • Most recently, they reaired the "Summer Shortstacular with Big City Greens" special...on New Year's Eve 2023, in the middle of winter, halfway through the year to summer.
