Could MSPA Reader get a self-demonstrating character page?
Their gimmick is that they narrate their thoughts in second person which I think could translate well into a Self-Demonstrating article

I have a great idea... and we need some ideas made, so hear me out.
How about a page for Gojo Satoru? I can definitely see him reminiscing on his victory against Makima - speaking of, nobody's brought that up in an "interview" with Makima - and I'm sure it'd be an interesting read.

I guess so. I just wasn't thrilled with our current spread, and I didn't know if throwing the names "Discord the Draconequus," "Sada/Turo AI," "Markiplier," and "Sozo" into the ring would work, and Satoru seemed unique enough, so I hedged my bets.
Hmmm... okay, new proposition. Shamura from Cult of the Lamb. His somewhat loopy and prophetic manner as a Bishop seems unique enough.
Would a Odio page count, his game, Live A Live was the first case of a disguised horror game in gaming and the game was the predecessor to Corono Trigger.
SPOILERS DOWN BELOW! As for the requirements...
Does the character have an interesting speech pattern? Well he does talk in Flowery Elizabethan English, so I think no it won't count, however in the past he was a Heroic Mime before he snapped.
Does a specific quirk of that character translate well to an article? Well I'm not too sure if the case of him being a massive deconstruction of Cecil form Final Fantasy 4 would be enough.
Does the character have a unique personality, not a stock character type, that can be maintained for the entirety of the page? I'm pretty sure he fails at this completely, while he is the Ur-Example of a fleshed out Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds in video games, I don't think it counts here

Well, if you think you're up to the task, feel free to do it! Just remember, the character's manner of speaking/writing/etc. needs to be distinctive enough to warrant a page on here.

chirpy, cheerful, and perky. It's been a while since I heard her dubbed voices but Kae Araki (her original VA) did a lot of cat sounds though if it counts as Verbal Tic. She also uses terrible (cat) puns though not as bad as Ms. Fortune.

Good point, I suppose. I guess since characters like Spider-Man and William Afton got their own pages, Brainiac could also fit into that category. Since his way of speaking isn't too much different from those two.

I think it would be pretty neat to see this characters' pages:
• Hades (Kid Icarus: Uprising): He has a HECK of a lot of personality and info., and an experience of breaking the fourth wall like the rest of the cast of the game.
• The original Frankenstein's Monster from the Frankenstein novel (or, The Modern Prometheus): The Count already has a page, so why not another classic gothic horror character? Plus, he has an interesting backstory and appears later throughout the rest of the novel after his creator abandons him. I say he has a lot to talk about.
• Sherlock Holmes: Has a lot of info. to back it up (plus adaptation references) and...quite an interesting personality.
• Cuphead (Cuphead/The Cuphead Show!): While I admit that I don't know much about the graphic novels and the book novels, his show counterpart has an EXPLOSIVE personality and humor (and the show itself has its fair share of info. even if it has only one season at the moment). Also, while I DO know the show has its own continuity, he could still reference both his adventures in the videogames and his (mis-)adventures in the show, much like Shark Tale's Oscar mentions his actions in both the movie and the video game.

Yo, I saw in a cleanup thread that Izuku Midoriya from My Hero Academia had a SDCP then got cut. I was wondering if someone could bring that back or at the very least allow a sandbox page for me or someone else to draft one. I feel like with Deku's dorky, self-deprecating, nervously neurotic behavior would make for some great humor and frankly I find him getting his SDCP getting revoked his a load of bullshit. I would say he has some of the most unique traits out of the My Hero cast and maybe even make pages for a perv like Mineta or a hothead like Bakugo at the very least. MHA deserves more SDCP's than just Tsuyu who's own page practically has like 5 things and that's it.

Honestly I can kinda picture all three PP Gs in one page. Their reactions to PPGZ, Snafu's comics, and the new series would be interesting.
So, when are we gonna put in a Kid Icarus: Uprising character? That just makes too much sense to not be a thing, given how nonexistent the fourth wall is in that series. And I know I've posted a similar question before, but if I may say something about the answer I was given, I'm of the belief that the reason Palutena's page was taken down is because it wasn't different enough from a typical character page. If you wanted a character from Uprising that would work better, maybe you could try a page for Hades or Viridi.

So I just added in a Handsome Jack page. Located in the Video Game subpage, but I can't write Jack for the life of me. If anyone wants to help flesh out the page more, I'd appreciate it.
My personal ideas for a self-demonstrating character page on a franchise-by-franchise basis:
-Ratchet and Clank: Dr. Nefarious (the re-imagining did very well and this character is widely beloved by the fandom for his overall hamminess—"LAWRENCE!")
-Sly Cooper: Murray Hippo (despite not being from as popular a franchise, I have a friend who can help with this, also a hammy and unique character, but it's possible that GREASY SWEET Dimitri would be a joy, too)
And yes, I'm a platformer fanboy. I'll probably think of some more ideas later, but this is what I have at the moment.

I think it would be great if we made a page for the Hungry Pumkin, but the problem is that he's such a Jerkass that he wouldn't talk about himself. He'd just demand food. "NO! I don't want that!"
Also, I just want to say, I'm kinda surprised that we don't have any pages for characters from the Disney Animated Canon. I'd like to make one, but I'm not sure who to do. I don't want to do a super popular character like Maleficent or Elsa, since someone's probably going to eventually make those pages anyway. Here are some characters I'm considering:
- The Cheshire Cat: I really like the version of him in Alice In Wonderland 1951, but since there are many different versions of him... I don't know. Does his personality change much in each version of the story? Maybe the page could be called Cheshire Cat (1951) or something so that it could be focused specifically on the Cheshire Cat in Disney's version.
- Gaston. Whether or not I'm the one who does it, this page has to be made. He's a Memetic Badass, a Youtube Poop star, an official part of the Disney Villain franchise, he's got it all! Plus, his egotistical attitude would make the page fun to write and read.
- Yzma and/or Kronk. These guys are hilarious! I think it would be great if one or both of them had their own pages.
- King Candy. The problem is, there would be a lot of spoilers.
Here's a thought: What if someone made a page for Umlaut from CarnEvil? I know we already have a lot of Monster Clowns on here, but I think it might work. He's a psychotic, energetic Troll who is constantly laughing. I think he would be a better choice than any other character in the game because he is the Exposition Fairy, and he arguably has the most personality.

Peridot (Steven Universe): Calls everyone clods, brags about herself. Fits perfectly with our other Self Demostrating articles.

So, I'm not sure, but would Dr. Doofenshmirtz from Phineas and Ferb work? I'm not certain what qualifies as "interesting speech pattern" or "quirk", but he does have quite a few quirky, repetitive traits. Like, he goes through this routine when meeting with his nemesis which involves some catchphrases, he engages in Lampshade Hanging a lot, yet he holds the Villain Ball a lot too, he always calls his devices -Inators, he's always got self-destruct buttons on them, he uses Insane Troll Logic, he's petty, etc. Oh, and he also tends to monologue, so he could definitely support his own page, and I think it would be entertaining.

Dio has a few memetic catchphrases, but other than that, doesn't really have any particularly clear verbal tic.
Unless you're just thinking of peppering the entire thing with MUDADA! and WRYYYYYYY! every other line.

Clearly you don't know Jesse as a character. He's stuck in the middle of all this meth stuff and partnered with a sociopath. It would be pretty interesting to see a SD page with Pinkman.
No one's saying he's not an interesting character in an excellent show. But that doesn't necessarily make a good SD page.

Here's a recommendation that I honestly find tricky. A self-demonstrating page for Taokaka.
I mean the character does meet the criteria, especially considering she's aware that she's fictional, which I think translates into a good page.
But the reason I think it's tricky is because of how stupid Tao is in the series. I've played the games since the very first one, and I can attest how forgetful she is, to the point where she forgets some, not all, important plot points.

Does Taokaka have a distinctive speech style or something? We don't make Self Demo pages for ordinary talking.

Maybe it's just me, but the criteria for creating an SD page for a character is too damn strict.

The rules themselves seem pretty fair, but I think we need to start a discussion page so that tropers can decide whether or not the pages match the criteria.
"Boring" is an opinion, and where one person may see a boring page, someone else may see comedy gold.

Then I'd say no. We are clamping down on the boring and pointless Self Demo pages and this one looks both boring and pointless.

I agree that we should get rid of the "boring" character pages, but instead of people just deleting pages they find boring, we should be able to vote on which pages we like and which we don't like.

As much as I'd hate to do this, can we delete the Freddy and Foxy pages? The problem I find with them is that they're much more...fan interpretative. They don't speak in game, we don't see them in the daytime, so we don't really know what their characters (in-universe) would act like. (And yes, I know I added to them too, but I was just having a bit of fun with it). A more fitting character for this page would be Phone Guy, since we know what his personality is.

I don't think so. We don't make these pages just for the sake of it; we do so because some pages are funny when written in self-demo mode. I don't know if that is applicable there.

I actually think a self-demonstrating page about them would be pretty funny, but I'm honestly not into Monty Python, and besides, there's the aspect of handling three people. I don't think we could do that with one of these pages.
What I am into, though, is Touhou, and some of the characters could make a really funny and/or awesome article. Any other fans wanna suggest which ones?

Are... are there any fans of Breath of Fire IV out there? Because... oh, screw it, I'm not gonna dance around the subject. I want a Fou-lu page. Because he is awesome and I love him and I think he needs a self-demonstrating article. Any other BOF4 fans out there seconding that motion? Because that would be the most amazing thing ever if that actually happened. And I'm going to stop rambling now and go read a Let's Play of the game I found on the LP Archive. Yeah. Because I sadly don't actually own the game.

Well, it's not Fou-lu, but IT'S JUST AS GOOD THANK YOU WHOEVER MADE THE CLASSIC SPYRO PAGE ASDFGHJKL... ahem. Yeah, I think this'll satisfy me for now until a fellow Breath Of Fire IV fan volunteers to do one for... yeah. (I'd do it myself but I... don't really think I'd be that good at it. Besides, I haven't actually played the game, I just read a Let's Play on the LP Archive... and am currently watching one on You Tube sooo... yeah...)

Didn't we use to have also a third person account for the characters? I can only find the self-demonstrating articles.
So, been lurking here for a while and I've made a google doc of what I think a Dark Prince/Satan article from Puyo Puyo would be like. I feel like his pompous, arrogant and hammy yet sometimes childish demeanour and butt-monkey status despite being a major villain (villain in quotation marks, last truly evil thing this man did was make the sun bigger to get a tan. Most of the time, bro just wants Arle's attention or to amuse himself) and gadfly-ish tendencies could make him leap off the page as a. Well. Page when it comes to describing himself (something this man LOVES doing except when it comes to the parts that are making fun of him affectionately). Though, bit iffy when it comes to gimmick. I used the unsound-sound effects as they appear in the Puyo Tet games
(example from the Puyo Tetris 2: *screaming loud enough to be heard in the vast vacuum of space*)
And touched upon his dynamic with Arle. Plus, Puyo Puyo is inherently a quirky work. It's hard for me to keep talking without just gushing about the series at this point. Point is, do I name it "Satan" as the title in the original name for the character and a more popular one or "Dark Prince", his official dub name everywhere outside of Japan and a bit more unique to him?
Also, can I, well. Make the page? I can link the doc itself for review, if wanted.
