  1. Let me ask you, do you believe that humans are superior to other races?
    • Kiyoi: I don't think any race should be declared superior to another. Why not just say that they're doing what they can to survive, and call it a day?
    • Akura: If one looks at science, the most successful creatures were the ones who could adapt to changes quickly enough to ensure survival. Humans can do that better than almost all races, so I guess we're quite superior.
    • Viktor: I'm a biologist, and I'll have to disagree with that. No race is ever superior. If you look at it from another angle, all races are in a perpetual state of limbo. At this moment, most races are in the perfect form to thrive in their own selective environments. If the environment changes like how global warming has been altering it rapidly over the last century, any claims to being superior could be overturned in a heartbeat.
  2. Do you think that fear is the best way to ensure loyalty?
    • Kiyoi: A mix of fear and respect seems like the best thing to have. If your subordinates fear you, they won't cross you. If they respect you, they'll be more likely to do what you say. You can't exactly have one without the other, amirite?
    • Akura: I would rather be feared. Logically, won't they obey orders out of fear of the consequences of not obeying me?
    • Viktor: With my own employees, I make sure that they fear me for a little while to force them to respect me. When I feel that they respect me enough to be loyal, then they'll have no reason to fear me.
  3. And at last, what might be reason for you to conquer the entire world?
    • Kiyoi: 'Conquer the entire world'? That... doesn't really sound fun to me. If that was my goal, then what do you expect me to do?
    • Akura: That sounds quite attractive. I think the first order of business would be to stabilize the worldwide governments and economies.
    • Viktor: That doesn't really sound very productive to me, so I think I'll pass.

  1. What were you like when you were a kid? If you're already a kid, what were you like when you were even younger?

Olivia "Ollie" Bennett, a barista, Noah Derresa, another barista and Deforest "Please-For-The-Love-Of-God-Call-Me-Forest" Tate, a radio host for the local college.

1. What were you like when you were a kid? If you're already a kid, what were you like when you were even younger?

  • Ollie: Weird. I was a weird kid, always asking too many questions, usually not age appropriate one. I had a fascination with other cultures but was young and not very PC. Looking back it's amazing I'm not dead. I also spent entirely too much time with my oldest brother, I will never understand how he put up with me.
  • Noah" I was horrible really. Well, when I was really young I wasn't so bad but as I got older I thought that just because my parents weren't around meant I could lash out at the people who were there for me. At around nine I turned into an utter snot and didn't really get better until I was twenty or so.
  • Forest: I was quiet, always reading or drawing. I had friends, but was never extroverted, some might even say shy. I also collected rocks. Don't know how that started but mum brought it up a few weeks ago and really, it was not an impressive collection.

2. Do you remember what your parents were/are like?

  • Ollie: Mum is loud and gregarious, always out and about or talking with someone. She's also bossy, but cheerful, I love her dearly. I know realize that with three boys and four girls she must have had an iron will while we were growing up. Dad's a lot more relaxed, he worked...I don't recall actually, but he'd get home after long days and the first thing he would do is give each of us a kiss and a hug, or ruffle our hair once my brothers decided they got to old for hugs and kisses, and even though he must have been tired he always took us out to play after supper. And he always sang me to sleep. Both are amazing, I love going home, it's always full of laughter and noise and music. And food. Mum loves to cook. Probably a good thing.
  • Noah: My father is...austere, I guess would be the word. He's very work focused and wasn't ever around much. Demanding though, nothing but the best for the sons of Gil Derresa, or else. Mother is flighty, unbearably so. As a child I think I saw her maybe once a month, she always off shopping or with friends. I remember one time myself and my youngest brother got the flu, my father sent a card and my mother moved us to the summer home so she could be sure we wouldn't interfere with a party of some sort. On the other hand, she always came to my concerts. Father never did.
  • Forest: Mum's...mum's broken, I guess is the word. Her and dad got divorced when I was five, and they're still friends but I think it really wounded her. She was always there for me, but she was so terrified of being alone she babied me. When I moved for uni I though she was going to have a breakdown, but she pulled through. Dad was a little absent minded but he was also great. For the first year of the divorce he'd show up every night to cook supper because he knew mum was horrible at it. He also taught me how to play go. Stills whoops my ass in it though.

3. Have you ever lost a friend?

  • Ollie: Hmmm...end of high school my friend Amy Raynerd and I had a huge fight because she though I wanted to steal her boyfriend. I didn't, I wanted his brother but I was so mad at the accusation I didn't explain myself well. We didn't make up over the summer and by the time I was cooled down she'd moved to Paris for art school. I tried to contact her there, but she wasn't interested. Good riddance I say, she always did have a flair for the dramatic.
  • Noah: For certain values of "friend", yes. All my high school friends and I fell out after my father disinherited me. Funny that, still can't find the connection.
  • Forest: I wouldn't say lost. I never really invested much in other people as a kid so if we ended up in different courses we usually drifted apart.

Questions

1. Who have you disappointed in your life?
2. Who has disappointed you (on a personal level)?
3. Have you ever run from a problem instead of face it or own up to it?

Answering this time as the slaver and former CIA agent Gary Anderson.

1. Who have you disappointed in your life?

  • Anderson: No one I would care about.

2. Who has disappointed you (on a personal level)?

  • Anderson: Williams, who brought an entire shipment of slaves who turned out to be filthy mutants. Since no one wants to pay a cent for those freaks we had to get rid of them at the garbage disposal just as it is propper for trash. As for Williams, incompetence is something I won't forgive. I am also offended by slaves who have the audacity to die before being sold. At least they give us something to feed the dogs.

3. Have you ever run from a problem instead of face it or own up to it?

  • Anderson: You can run from your problems now only to be caught up by them later. Running is futile and has always been the coward's way.

  • Anderson: Do you think that slavery can turn even the most worthless scum like bandits, terrorists and mutants into productive elements of society by being promoted from dirt to tools? Would you sacrifice free will for protection and daily warm meals? And finally would you ever concider buying a slave or being a slaver yourself, depending on the situation?

[up]This seems like another job for Evil Alex (helps when you have no real sense of morality):

1. Firstly, Bandits. To answer your question: a qualified yes. It all depends on what kind of slavery we're talking here. Too harsh, and you're looking at a rebellion in the making, and that's that for "productivity". Too light, and you can say goodbye to your investments. I find the best way to be old-fashioned Mind Control, for reasons that should be self-evident. Just make sure it's not too easily broken - especially if you're using them as your army like this one fellow I knew. Shame, too, he had promise at the overlord thing.

2. You must be insane. The only way to guarantee your safety is through power, not giving it up voluntarily.

3. Yes, though I wouldn't be too eager - it has a tendency to backfire, and the do-gooders are much less likely to hold to their stupid standards when dealing with that sort of thing.

What's your attitude towards mysteries (in your life, or in fiction)? Would you describe yourself as book or street smart? And would you want to live forever?

I'll be answering as Aaron, the protagonist in the same story as Natalia, Stephanie, and Richard (who are all side characters).

1. Well, I want to solve them with my own mind, just like I'm trying to tackle my own mystery of where my father is.

2. I'm definitely book smart. Before I was forced to join the military due to my country's civil war, I was a scientist. Well, just an assistant, but one day, I wanted to be a full-fledged scientist like my old man.

3. I don't know if I'd wanna live forever, but I do want to live long enough to know my family is safe and that Sentria's war is over.

Three Questions:

  • How do you cope if/when a family member goes missing?
  • Have you ever done something that you felt like you had to do?
  • What is a secret you've been hiding?

Answering as the Five-Man Band at part 3:

  1. How do you cope if/when a family member goes missing?
    • Yuki: I get stronger to get her back.
    • Amaya: I trust my friends to help.
    • Leo: I find them. By myself if I must, but there is strength in numbers.
    • Lena: What family?
    • Mordecai: For once, I'm with you on this one, princess.
  2. Have you ever done something that you felt like you had to do?
    • Yuki: Yes. I had to take a life. But it was to escape our oppression.
    • Amaya: No.
    • Leo: Nope.
    • Lena: I betrayed my father and fled to the surface to learn how to fight my hunger.
    • Mordecai: Had to? No. My sins were entirely voluntary.
  3. What is a secret you've been hiding?
    • Yuki: Secret? I have no secrets.
    • Amaya: I... kinda like Yuki. Like, like like.
    • Leo: It's my fault Keaira took Amaya.
    • Lena: I'm a succubus. What secret could I possibly have that's worse than that?
    • Mordecai: I'm an angel. Do not tell my friends. I will kill you.

For your enjoyment:

  • Do you have a hobby? What is it?
  • Music: Do you enjoy it or is it pointless noise?
  • Where is home for you? Spend a lot of time there?

1: Not really, nothing that I put a lot of time into. I work long hours.

2: I enjoy listening to music, and I have an iPod, but I'm not especially knowledgeable. Mostly I just have music playing to stop myself getting bored.

3: Morpheus' court in Venice, technically, but no, I don't spend a lot of time there at the moment; I'm training in London. The Fletcher-Page court made up for the small geographical area it controls by becoming a centre for training and magical education, so I'm spending most of my time there at the moment, learning from the experts.

And my questions are: how much do you typically sleep? What's your dream job? And how do you take your coffee?

How much do you typically sleep?

  • Cho-seon: Chaos doesn not sleep, so shouldn't I...yawn...zzz...zzz...
  • Eun-jin: Normally eight hours but sometimes longer depending on how intense the night with Jung-ah was. (grins)
  • Jung-ah: Exactly seven hours and 30 minutes and no second more or less.

What's your dream job?

  • Cho-seon: Leading the Deathkorps of Krieg is my current job I like. Being a commissar was also fun while it lasted. It was almost like getting paid for being a schoolyard bully.
  • Eun-jin: I'm very content with being an engineer.
  • Jung-ah: I always wanted to work in the videogame industry. But being a secretary and part-time assassin is also fun.

And how do you take your coffee?

  • Cho-seon: Black.
  • Eun-jin: I prefer green tea and this Italian cappuccino stuff.
  • Jung-ah: After Cho-seon showed me the clip with those two girls and...ugh...let's just say I lost my appetite for coffee!

  • Cho-seon: I remember when the three of us were in what was back then known as the United States. I have some questions which remind me on our adventures there. First, if you ever happen to travel the Route 66, would you travel it by truck, by motorcycle or would you be hardcore enough to walk most of it? Second, were you ever in Las Vegas? As for the last question, could you imagine to vote for me, my humble self and I as your president?

First, if you ever happen to travel the Route 66, would you travel it by truck, by motorcycle or would you be hardcore enough to walk most of it?

Aaron: I'd use a motorcyle! 8D Because I'm still young and motorcycles are fun! <3

Karlo: ... I don't know. I haven't learned to drive, so I guess I'd walk it, and that sounds like a day's training from the Colonel anyway. -shrug-

Second, were you ever in Las Vegas?

Aaron: Nope, but there's probably some gambling place a lot like it.

Karlo: ... No. I don't want to lose all my pay.

As for the last question, could you imagine to vote for me, my humble self and I as your president?

Aaron: You run a democracy? Strange! Sentria's a military state, so I can't imagine us voting, actually.

Karlo: "Vote?" What's that? I've never done it before, so I must learn! I say yes.

Karlo: Um. I've just learned how to ask questions so... here goes.

  • What's the most confusing thing about people around you?
    • Eli: People keep getting in my way. Why should anyone care if I want to kill someone? It's none of their business!
    • Matt: It's... astounding how people can have such wildly different interpretations of this and that. Now that I'm an actor, I see this all the time with people who think I'm anything from amazing to an idiot.
    • Rafi: I never understood how it was possible for people to not learn what they're taught. I mean, school and college aren't that hard! It's impossible to not get a 100% A on everything!
  • Are you good with your weapons, if you have any, and if you don't, are you a good supporter of those with weapons?
    • Eli: Oh, I LOVE my scythe! :D
    • Matt: I'm a trained mercenary. Of course I know how to handle my knives.
    • Rafi: I'm just a dark healer...
  • Have you ever lost your memories?
    • Eli: No.
    • Matt: No, but it would be fascinating to see what happens when my fans and detractors try to tell me about myself.
    • Rafi: That would be scary...

1: After the Hawke debacle I ended up in a coma for two days, which I suppose is the closest I've come to death. Of course, I suppose being held hostage by the guy you were trying to assassinate counts as a near-death experience in and of itself. The death just ended up being someone else's.

2: I grew up in Paris more than I did anywhere else, although I spent a lot of time in England, since my mother is British, and I travelled some as well.

3: Seventeen. No, really. Rest assured, I intend to get much older before I'm through.

And my questions are, if you could create an impossible hybrid of two animals, which two would they be? How do you usually wear your hair? And what do you think is the first thing people notice about you?

If you could create an impossible hybrid of two animals, which two would they be?

  • Ollie: Ooh! A...a...a CAT and a SQUID.
  • Noah: Why would I- no wait, don't tell me why I'd do something like this I'd combine..I don't know...a fox and a raccoon.
  • Forest: A horse and a mountain dog. What do you mean I answered too quickly?

How do you usually wear your hair?

  • Ollie: Mostly down with some braids in as well.
  • Noah: It's not really very long but it's too long to be gelled up so just down.
  • Forest: Umm, down? I don't know, how I wake up mostly.

And what do you think is the first thing people notice about you?

  • Ollie: Probably the fact my hair is blue, purple and white as well as being brown.
  • Noah: I've been told by many people I'm easy to spot because I have a "posh" walk. No, I don't know what that means either.
  • Forest: The fact that I'm short.

Live from his Evil Tower of Ominousness, a character who I've answered too many of these questions as... it's Evil Alex!

1. Describe yourself in one word.

Self-centered.

2. Would you like to be any other species than what you are?

I occasionally switch things up at opportune moments, but I would never permanently want to change species.

3. Dom, sub, or switch? Sexually? Non-sexually?

What the heck does this mean?

1. Who is the person you trust most?

2. How about who you trust least?

3. Are you content with your current career?

  1. Describe yourself in one word.
    • Jack: Unique. I don't care if there are hundreds of people out there with the same genes as myself, I am unique.
    • Angela: Bold. I think it works, people say I'm bold.
    • Joushi-sama: People say I am eccentric. I will agree with that.
    • Niloufar: Faithful, I guess? I'm loyal to my friends, my family, and myself. Or at least I try to be.
  2. Would you like to be any other species than what you are?
    • Jack: I'm already human, what else do you want from me?
    • Angela: I'm fine the way I am.
    • Joushi-sama: I wouldn't mind being some kind of bird.
    • Niloufar: If I must be an animal, a lion would be interesting.
  3. Dom, sub, or switch? Sexually? Non-sexually?
    • Jack: I like to play sub, but sometime I switch it up for fun.
    • Angela: Dom, always dom.
    • Joushi-sama: That's none of your business.
    • Niloufar: I am not sexual with anyone at this time.

  4. Who is the person you trust most?
    • Jack: I trust people very easily, but Angela knows the most of my secrets.
    • Angela: Jack. Aside from being my boyfriend, he's a good person to trust with your secrets, since he's not at all like normal people. Also, my sister.
    • Joushi-sama: Houjou Kouta-san, who has been my bodyguard since I was a child.
    • Niloufar: My mother.

  5. How about who you trust least?
    • Jack: Anyone connected to SC.
    • Angela: I don't trust most of my family, they are desperate and dishonest. I don't trust most people in Safumo for the same reason.
    • Joushi-sama: I don't trust my mother at all, she is extremely distant.
    • Niloufar: I don't trust Safumo.

  6. Are you content with your current career?
    • Jack: I'd rather not work for Safumo, it is dishonest work, but there is nowhere else for me to go.
    • Angela: My opinion is the same, but Safumo needs me as much as I need it.
    • Joushi-sama: I am shadou of Safumo, my career is fine. However, someday I'd like to hand down my position as shadou and start my own private school.
    • Niloufar: I agree with Jack and Angela, now that I no longer need Safumo, I wish to leave.

1. What are your goals in life? To break away from my religion, have my art heard and read, and ultimately, to be happy.

2. Have you accomplished any goals you've had? Well I graduated high school with a decent GPA. I'm going to college for free, so what more could I ask for? (*cough* A job and a car *cough*)

3. Who would you consider an ideal romantic interest? Hmmm... I want someone who is faithful, funny, intellectual, and able to love unconditionally.

  1. Do you know where the idea for you came from?
    • Kiyoi: ...What do you mean? Are you asking me to Break The Fourth Wall?
    • Vince: I know where the concept for my character came from. *smirk*
    • Shinji: That's 'cause you invade the dreams of a sixteen-year-old girl to try and subliminally tell our author what to write.* And, no, I don't, because I'm not a creeper like Bigshot up here.
  2. Do you care?
    • Kiyoi: Not really.
    • Vince: The similarity to Ancient Rome is the only thing I'm not happy about.
    • Shinji: 'Course he'd say something like that... Uh, no.
  3. Are you popular with the ladies?

I'll answer as Isaac, the main protagonist of the Six Man Band in my story.

1)No past trauma, but I admittedly fear Navril, the Big Bad who I have to try to kill alongside my friends, lest he destroy the world.

2)Hmmm... I've got to say Father Sable, the kindly Lord of the state of Luxan in Yurshil, who gave us shelter despite being wanted fugitives in his land. He gave important advice about Navril, taught me and my friends quite a few things, and even gave his life to save us from Navril when he was found out.

3)Busy and stressful. Being tasked (by the pair of, frankly rather selfish, gods) to kill Navril, despite the fact that he himself is ascending to godhood, having to deal with being hunted by his soldiers and the guild of assassins he's hired to kill us, and having to go through many trials to get stronger so we can even stand a chance against him, is certainly taking it's toll on us.
