  • This scene in the webnovel. Abel was bemoaning his situation after his wooden Ortem truck broke down, foiling his escape from the village. He suddenly hear the sound of animal hoofs moving and turns around to find a horse-driven carriage, carrying burlap bags. He then hears a voice, not coming from the driver, telling him to stop sleeping on the side of the road, and the voice owner comes out from under the burlap bags pile. It's a girl with blue hair with sheep horns on her head, who then tells him this:
Horned Girl: “I’m going to give you a pillow, so you can sleep on the side of the road as long as you like!
The sheep girl threw one of the burlap bags at me.
Carriage Driver: “Hey, hey, Mea-san, please don’t throw my goods!”
The man sitting on the driver’s seat screams out in grief as he looks back at the sheep girl.
I let the burlap sack that was thrown at me play in my hand. It is stuffed with wheat?

  • In the webnovel, Abel and Mea were hunting in the forest path, with Abel forcing through despite his clear exhaustion, and Mea is begging to take a break (so that Abel would rest his legs). Suddenly, Abel feels an intense pain, like something had snapped in his calf, and suddenly fell and he's in rapid sharp pain, frightening Mea. Abel hysterically shouts at Mea that it's a magic beast attack, or... A Demon!! He begs Mea to leave him and run to safety before he gets her legs too. Mea refuse to leave him alone, and Abel calls her an idiot and that demon will kill her too, she replies that she'd rather die than abandon him, then she starts crying and holds Abel's head in her hands as she cries some more. Five minutes of Abel's ranting and Mea's screaming, Abel discovered that it wasn't a magical beast nor a demon: it was just a cramp in his leg. After all this drama, Abel concludes this scene with an Aesop:
Abel (Narrating): Maybe what’s really scary isn’t disasters or demons, but something deep inside us humans.

  • After Abel and Mea succeed in capturing a female Balm Bird to use in Abel's new bio-Magic experiment, he asks Mea to hand him a magic stone and a bottle from his pack before he guts the poor bird. Mea hands him the bottle and the magic stone, but she won't let go of it! When he asks her what's wrong, she answers in a tearful voice:
Mea: “Don’t worry about it…… even when you go to hell…… Mea will be right behind you.”
Then Abel remembers doing something similar back in his village. His sister praised him with open arms.
  • Mea's Quest Report, about Gaston's fight and subjugation of Evil Bound: Gaston snapped Evil Bound into pieces with his bare hands, then finished off the magical roots with frictional heat!!. Abel realized the Gaston was still missing his sword, so he had Mea write the report like that.
    • Later on, we see Prince Alphonse, agonizing about the ceremony fight before the tournament in Elkuxia, between his champion Brian and his sister's champion Gaston. Guess who read the over-exaggerated quest reports written by Mea for Gaston's 'heroics':
Alphonse (to Brian): “I can’t send you to face a monster that can rip a demon apart with his bare hands!”.
    • Followed by Brian getting excited about fighting the "Legendary Adventurer Demon Slayer Gaston Garanad".

  • The Abel Search Party is a source of comedy gold. Watching a group of adults and teens descendants of a clan renowned for their magical prowess descends into a sorry state from 2 days of walking, sleeping outdoors wary of wildlife and magic beasts, and missing their homes. Merely being doused by rain made them behave like their ancestors' wrath has descended upon them, despite making a shelter with earth magic. They are enough of a reason to read the "Side: Giselle" chapters to just to see how Giselle is faring with them.

  • On the road to the Fage Territory on a wagon, Abel spots Quelgoblins, said to be stronger and more belligerent than normal Goblins, and gushes of how rare they are. Suddenly, the Quelgoblins shudders and run away, leading to this exchange:
    Mea: “Abel, Is something there?”
Abel: “No, there were goblins in there, but they ran off as soon as our eyes met.”
Mea: “…… They’re goblins with good instincts, aren’t they?”
    Abel: “Really?”

  • During the magic beasts thinning, Lark's private army, divided into three units, regroup on the rendezvous' point. Abel inspects the two units after their returns and notices: the faces of the second unit have gone pale and looking at him funny, and mumbling things at him. The reason: their route went where Abel left the 22 Nalgarn's heads and the body outside the territory.
Soldier 1: “…… It’s him, that white guy from the first unit.”
Soldier 2: “Watch out, if you put him in a bad mood, he’ll take your head off. Just like that Nalgarn.”
Soldier 3 (referring to Ashura 5000): “What’s that thing he’s sitting on? A monster from hell?”

  • Shame, after reuniting with Abel and Mea after Palgas village's fiasco, mentions that she was in Russel village for an adventurer job to check on someone's girlfriend, who got trapped in said village because of Nalgarn. When Mea, concerned, asks about the girlfriend, Shame tells her to cheer up for she's alright... She had 2 kids and she's happy!! Mea becomes very happy and recognizes the woman in-question as someone from Lark's private army and asks Abel if they could visit her someday, while Abel realizes that the Fage territory was isolated for 2 years, and figures that the boyfriend is in for a surprise he wouldn't like.
Abel:It was a bit tricky, but Mea seemed happy too, so I decided not to mention it.

  • Inside the Tower of Altamir, on the first floor, Abel meets his worst enemy:
Abel: “You-, you’re got to be kidding me……?”
I was astonished to see that unnatural staircase in the great outdoors.
At the same time, I cursed Altamir’s bad character.
But I didn’t expect to find such a vile trap from the first level.
Mea: “Abel, are you on to something?”
Seeing me, Mea calls out to me anxiously.
I quietly point to the stairs.

  • The Collector summons one of his favorite trophies: The head of “The Imperial Dragon Grimrome”, a decapitated head of a majestic looking evil dragon, with huge bifurcated horns, emerald-colored scales and a magnificent purple beard, and use its Breath Weapon on Abel. Abel creates his Hydeem Magi-Metal to reflect energy attacks and form a protective sphere to fully cover himself. The metal sphere endures the attack and Abel comes out safely, with the blast having ravaged the ground of the arena. However, the dragon head suffered the brunt of its own blast:
As I looked ahead, I saw that the horns of the floating imperial dragon Grimrome had been snapped off and part of his magnificent beard was balding.
The scales are also slightly cracked.
The dignified face of the Grimrome had turned into something quite pathetic. The scales have been peeled off from the base, and the sparse beard that remains looks pitiful.
Collector: “M-My …… My treasure …… Impossible, the head of the Imperial Dragon Grimrome …… turned, turned into something miserable like this ……!”
Collector: “How dare you damage my collection, ……! You have no idea how valuable this mount is! How much pain I’ve gone through for this! Consider that death is the only way to end this!”
Abel (narrating): It is still in its original form, and it was me who was almost killed. This is not a talk about self-defense anymore.
If you just want to brag about it, you should have just displayed it at home, but if you take it all the way to the battlefield and then make a fuss about it being broken, all I can say is that it’s your fault.

  • Following the collapse of Altamir's Tower, Abel, Mea and Elia head back to Palgas village with Altamir and the Collector as well. However, they're stopped by Lark's private army and some adventurers recruits, along with Rinoa of the alchemist division, raising their weapons at them. Euris, leading the army, approaches them and pulls her sword... then drops it on the ground and kneels down:
Euris: “A-, Abel Belek, Commander of the Alchemists! You are suspected of destroying a protected building designated by the kingdom, unsealing a dangerous demon designated by the kingdom, and contacting it! Lark-sama wants to talk to you about it! Please ……, please! Will you please accompany me willingly? I swear on my life, I will never do anything wrong!”
    Her voice was trembling.
The private army and adventurers behind her were all tense.

  • Shame telling Abel about a sudden change in the country's landmass, probably due to his fight with Kudor:
Shame: “Did you know that? In the easternmost part of the Dinrat Kingdom, there has been a massive deformation of the topography and undersea faults that have changed the ocean currents, and the royal family is trying to cover it up. Abel-chan did it, right!? It’s definitely Abel-chan, right!?”
Abel (narrating): Is it the Abel saw!?
The Abel saw cut through the ocean floor!?
At that moment, I stopped thinking about everything and focused only on how to ensure that the damage to Kudor was done.

  • Abel ends up taking over the work for building the Magic Wave Tower, by himself!!! How did that happen? Well, Abel and Altamir originally hired many carpenters and alchemists from the territory to build the tower, but with them (Abel and Altamir) being Mad Scientists, they rushed the project and all workers went on a strike. They hired a carpenter supervisor on the promise that he would never work more than ten hours a day, and borrowed some of Peter's men to continue the work, but from the second day, Peter’s men collapsed from overwork. The day after that, a large number of Peter’s men went missing, and on the fourth day, the supervising carpenter asked Abel to stay away from him for breach of contract, and then Peter bowed to him and asked not to dispatch human resources.
    • He builds the tower through controlling 50 Ortems carrying lumber and stone using his magic, and comments on the various colors his vision turned into from drinking his Abel Potion for 10 consecutive days of work! With Altamir acting as his supervisor and shouting and yelling at him. Propably in revenge for almost causing her death from overwork in the previous volume.
Abel: “I’m sorry, Alta-san …… I think I’m losing it. After all, our brains can’t handle having the whole thing run with different precision …… Since a while ago, my hands have been kind of shaking ……”
Altamir: “What!? What’s wrong with your usual tone!? Here, get over it and you can go! You see, you’re always telling your subordinates this and that in the alchemy division!”
Abel: Now I really understand the feelings of the members of the alchemist division.
