  • In Morocco, Gabriella tells Annie that she sounds like something out of a Hallmark card. She enthusiastically said her guidance counselor once said the same thing.
  • In Paris, May made several drawings of Sam for the sketching challenge including Cubist, Surrealist, Pop Art, Minimalist, Conceptual, Post Modern, Constructivist, Abstract, Expressionism, Abstract Expressionism, Futurist, Dada, Pointillist, Impressionist, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, & Fauvism before the judge cut her off and gave her the tip.
    • Sam says that the Paris catacombs would be the perfect place to hide a body, if one needed to.
    • Though we aren't described the sketch, Yves apparently drew Aaryn naked and she defends it by saying it's not weird as they've seen each other naked before.
    • The fact that Annie sang the tip to go into the catacombs like the opening song from Into the Woods.
    • Later she tries to convince her brother to follow a rat and he retorts by saying "this isn't some flash animated Canadian cartoon".
  • In the Mediterranean, Ennui tells the cameras he doesn't do interactions with others. Fabian immediately comes up to him saying they should not interact with anyone together, prompting him to leave.
    • Dwayne says he met his wife at a holiday party and got her number when he paid to have her clothes dry-cleaned after he spilled soda on her.
    • Early on in the chapter
(The Tennis Rivals have just arrived at the train station)
Gerry: (he and Pete run in drenched in sweat) Wow, what a run, am I right?
Pete: Good thing I'm prepared for marathons like that. (They laugh)
Ryan: That was a three and a half mile run. (Gerry and Pete sigh)
    (Confessional)
Pete: Okay, we're not off to a good start today.
Gerry: We barely squeaked by last challenge and this race drains us like crazy. We just don't have the same stamina we had when we were 29.
Pete: You know what else you didn't have at age 29? That ear hair. (They laugh)
    • Stephanie says her "Find the shark the eats you and eat it'' line she said to Ryan in canon but Fabian informs her that might not be the best idea considering how many sharks die in a given day.
    • Sam rides a shark like how one might ride a mechanical bull.
    • As the geniuses do their calculations to build a proper sandcastle they get assistance from Gabriella, Annie, May, June and Syd. To their surprise all 5 of them wind up getting the correct answer.
    (Confessional)
Mary: For the record we could’ve done that by ourselves.
Ellody: But on the plus side we can get started sooner.
    • When the Tennis Rivals and Step-Brothers wind up being the last 2 teams who have yet to make it to the chillzone they engage in a game of bumper speedboats before they crash and Chet/Lorenzo wind up on the carpet of completion.
  • In Venice, Junior manages to pick out his father during the masquerade challenge, which was a silt walking plague doctor, as they are ready to depart Dwayne predictably trips and falls.
    • Later, as teams row to the chillzone in the 2nd challenge Tom and Jen follow a woman wearing an expensive pair of shoes, Owen gets pizza from a row through restaurant, and Laurie and Miles get trash dumped on themselves, among other occurrences.
    • Before they go gondola riding, Devin asks to be helped out of his armor from the masquerade challenge, which Carrie is all to eager to help him with.
  • In Iceland, Fabian's strategy to complete the geyser crossing challenge was to run like hell and hope for the best, leaving his teammate and alliance mates in the dust, ending with him yelling the Icelandic phrase right in the locals face when he approaches her.
    • Jen's screaming causes temporary deafness in Aaryn.
  • In Brazil, Annie and June give the judge for the carnival costume challenge an impromptu performance centered around "Malambo No. 5" by Yma Sumac, unaware that they're holding up the line.
    • Annie doesn't get stung by the ants because she asked them politely not to. Unfortunately it doesn't work when Quince tries it.
    • Instead of the seal dare he did in canon, Josee coerces Spud to kiss a snake and then unleashes it on the rockers as they hangglide.
    • While crossing the ravine; Syd & Dani get knocked offscreen by Aaryn and Yves, additionally, Fabian kisses the ground when he makes it to the other side.
    • While opening coconuts, Fabian tries to smash one with a hammer but only manages to knock himself out and doesn't awaken until it's time to start the costume challenge.
    • While hang-gliding to the chill zone Aaryn & Yves slam onto it (as does Quince), Annie & Leo undershoot it and Fabian & Jordan overshoot it.
    • As the rockers leave, Rock mentions how he's going to make an album about the show and Leo asks not to be mentioned by name.
  • In Romania, the Anime Nerds are the only other team aside from the Goths who aren't creeped out by the castle. In fact they spend some time taking photos and using it as the inspiration for a haunted house they wish to design.
    • Sam pretended to twist his leg during the gymnastics challenge. It elicits screams and then laughs from everyone present, except the judge and the Goths.
  • In Hawaii, Sam and May are not at all enthused about Jacques' choice in swimwear, even though they admit to blogging about a lifeguard anime.
    • On the way to Hawaii, Yves and Aaryn mention several photo shoots from their time on Model behavior, which included explosives, being buried under several feet of dirt in a coffin and posing with zoo animals.
    • When Nekota dives into the bay, several contestants hold up scorecards with the number 10 on except Josee who holds up one with a 9. Nekota responds by throwing an octopus at her.
    • At some point Annie tamed a dolphin and rode around on it as though it was something anyone can do.
    • Tom rushes to meet up with Jen for the next challenge when he realizes he got caught up in listening to Syd ask Aaron out.
  • On the flight to Dubai, Fabian and Jordan converse with Sam and May about what would happen if a plane accident eliminated half of the cast.
    • While June teaches yoga on the flight over, Leo finds himself stuck and needs to be fixed by the Geniuses.
    • During Nekota's first match against the Tennis Menace he manages to hit Quince in the gut.
    • Owen's impromptu solution to cleaning the windows causes one being washed by the models to shatter, as they admit "one less to clean."
    • Fabian briefly imitates the Tennis Rivals during the "Serve" challenge at the Bur Al Arab.
    • Emma asks to be pinched upon leaning her team won a trip to the Burj Al Arab, which her sister takes literally.
  • In China, Sam and May accidentally lands on Nekota and Gabriella while skydiving, landing in a way the Gym Rats get a crotchfull of both of them.
    • While on the Great Wall, May finds the way to the chillzone by communicating with the sprits of the dead.
  • In Finland, the Failure Montage of the air guitar challenge gets several new moments, including Jen having to runaway from knives, Nekota being knocked out of his clothes like Charlie Brown, and Geoff just falling through the floor.
  • In Zimbabwe, Ryan nearly runs into Quince just before the challenge at Victoria Falls, leaving Quince basically catatonic until the photo safari.
    • The montage describes such happenings like Gabriella and Nekota getting involved in a turf war with baboons, Aaryn and Yves losing hair to weaver birds, Crimson and Ennui being followed by a bunch of vultures, Brody and Geoff being licked by giraffes, and Owen drinking from a watering hole only to be frightened away by a crocodile.
    • Kitty goes on a selfie montage, not only with the rhino but also her sister, Noah, Owen and several other species.
    • Sam used to model for Calvin Kline but is now apparently a fetish model, among other things.
  • In Spain, the first challenge involves putting a saddle on a bull except the bulls utilized aren't brutish at all but so cowardly they have the contestants running laps trying to saddle them.
    • One bull runs off and leaves an Impact Silhouette, one digs itself into the dirt, and another flings Geoff and Brody into the stand when they try to lasso it.
    • How did the teams finally complete the challenge? Quince lulled them into compliance by playing "The Sounds Of Silence" on a guitar. It doubles as a Moment of Awesome.
    • The race from Spain to Buñol contains several funny moments like many contents holding on for dear life, others using their bulls like bumper cars, Owen and Noah's bull struggles to keep up due to Owen's weight, Kitty takes a selfie with her team's bull and Chet and Lorenzo try to push each other off.
    • The final challenge involves reenacting the famous La Tomatina festival. Those climbing the poles initially have to be weary of tomatoes thrown by competitors but eventually the tomato throwers start battling each other in the paste.
    • Tom and Aaron both strip down to their underwear so as not to get (too) messy while pole climbing.
    • Similarly, Sam strips down to his underwear to climb the pole while Jordan takes off and uses her pants as a knot while reciting the chorus of "I'll Make a Man out of You". When they reach the Chill Zone, Don questions where their clothes are and Jordan runs back to collect her pants.
    • When teams arrive at the chill zone they are cleaned off courtesy of a fire fighting hose.
  • In "Shawshank Ridonc-tion", Fabian manages to find the tunnels for his team's cell by glumly lying down on the bed.
    Tom: Are you okay?
Carrie: Yeah, but now I feel kind of awful. Is there a word that properly mixes happiness and sadness?
    May: Bittersweet?
    Sam: Ambivalent?
    Jordan: Melancholia?
    Fabian: Sappiness?
  • In "Down & Outback" Dani and one point had to help Syd pull his head out of a rabbits hole, which apparently wasn't the first time she had done that. In confessionals, both simply say "don't ask" in regards to how it happened.
  • In "Maori or Less" there is a bit of schadenfreude when Sanders knocks Syd out of his train seat and tries to prop him back up, only for him to go as limp as a ragdoll.
  • "Lord of The Ring Toss"; at the first challenge some wonder what a narwhal is and Fabian is more than eager to explain it but Don interrupts him as explaining challenges is part of his hosting contract.
    • Sam and May managed to build a full scale replica of Hogwarts from snow. Not to be outdone the siblings do the Alexander Palace while the Julliard Students do the Winter Palace.
    • Jordan and Fabian's mini-plot about befriending an Artic Fox.
    • In one confessional, Junior mentions how his dad bumped into someone at a crosswalk and drove away before anyone noticed. Dwayne mentioned that is was supposed to be "their little secret".
  • In Indonesia, Annie is dragged into the jungle by one Komodo but when she's found it turns out it merely used her like a relationship therapist to alleviate problems with its mate. As Leo said it best, "That raises so many other questions."
    • Fabian and Sam spend most of the first challenge elsewhere, working to get the rights to use a solar powered freezer to entrap a dragon for their teams.
    • Josee tosses the bucket of dragon drool accumulated by the goths to the wayside but in doing so she unknowingly saves the Siblings and the Julliard students from being eliminated.
    • Devin and Tom try to hold up a dragon in a net but struggle to do so, then Gabriella pushes them aside and does it with no effort.
  • "Tokyo M G!"; on the flight to Japan Sam pulls out an old photo of himself that looks very much like Junior and he happily takes it as a sign he'll grow up to look like Sam when he's older. Dwayne, however, freaks out on the basis that Sam's behavior is "something you tolerate for a friend and not your son."
    • None of the contestants are eager to get onto a crowded Tokyo subway train but they don't have a say in the matter when an employee pushes them all into one. Leading to several hilarious remarks.
Emma: (she and Kitty are pressed up against the glass) Well if there’s one good thing about Noah being gone, it’s that Owen’s gone too.
Kitty: Yeah with him gone, this train’s probably not as cramped as it could be.
Sam: (to Jordan) The last time we were this close together, we weren’t even born yet.
Tom: Trust me: it is in no way intentional, but I can’t move my hand.
    Devin: (gasping) Can’t breathe.
Leo: Could somebody call room service and ask them to send up a bigger room?
    Dwayne: Junior, where are you?
Junior: (Offscreen) I’m here, but I don’t know where here is.
Brody: Uh Geoff, I need to go to the bathroom.
Everyone else: Hold it! (The train takes off.)
    • On top of all this, the train (expectedly) exacerbates Josee's claustrophobia.
    • At the sushi challenge, Annie unknowingly eats wasabi, much to the shock of her competitors and the chef.
      • At one point octopus is on the menu, though Leo and Stephanie are grossed out, they suck it up when they notice how nonchalantly Ennui eats his.
    • Geoff and Brody complete the fake ramen bowl challenge by dunking their heads in and eating the noodles like animals.
      • After they realize they've been duped Geoff remarks how he shouldn't accept every gift he gets from a cute dog, especially after he got fleas.
    • Sam/May and Crimson/Ennui venture into the Super Scary Labyrinth of Fear at Fujikyu Highland Park. Though it's been billed as one of the scariest haunted attractions in Real Life all 4 of them make it through without so much as a whimper. In fact one employee is scared senseless of Loki and at the end multiple people run out in fear of the goths. And the cherry on top is how at the prospect of Crimson and Ennui going through the house again, someone literally gives them their challenge assignment by tossing it to their feet.
    • June and Quince get scared half to death riding the massive Red Tower drop ride.
    • The sisters and Father/Son ride the Dodonpa roller coaster. Junior and Kitty find it fun but Dwayne and Emma are nearly scared out of their wits end, with both remarking they were glad they went to the bathroom ''before'' getting on the ride.
    • While riding The Pizza frisbee ride, Brody and Sanders upchuck onto the sign they were supposed to find.
    • The Ice Dancers ride to the top of the Fujiyama roller coaster is described as being stupidly high and as they go down the steep drop their screaming is so loud it not only do all their fellow competitors take notice but so do several groups of civilians and a couple of prominent manga/anime artists.
    • In the rush to the Chill Zone the Ice Dancers push the Anime Nerds and Animaniacs into the 1st and 2nd spots while they take 3rd place once again, but before Josee can go on another rampage she's lulled to sleep by Joe Hisashi music.
  • "And Away We Galapagos"; Annie realizes she smells off putting but can't figure out why. Turns out Josee swapped the shampoo she was using at a hotel for garlic and onion scented toiletries.
    • The Ice Dancers try to think of which animal the Cadets would be most likely to photograph and believe they'll go after the Galapagos Hawk, cut to the cadets deciding to go with the safest option by choosing the Galapagos Tortoise.
    • Among the complications teams encounter while trying to take photos include an owl that continuously turns its head away from the camera, trying to stay awake while waiting, getting pinched by crabs, loosing the camera to thieving birds, being vomited and or sneezed on, mistaking the tortoises for rocks, the camera momentarily being eaten by a pelican, and trying to imitate a mating dance.
    • Dwayne's encounter with the vampire finch which, in accordance with their name, peck at his scalp and drink the blood.
    • To attract sea lions Brody tries Nigel Thornberry's "call of the wild seal". Geoff initially remarks that the last time he heard an animal make that noise, his uncle shot it.
  • "Dude Buggies"; in one confessional Sam and May make out, but do so out of view of the camera as an article of clothing has covered it.
    • For the magic show, Sam decides to be the lovely assistant and everyone (save for May) is astounded by how good he looks in the dress and with makeup. In fact, Jacques momentarily believes him to be a total stranger.
    • Leo wears the dress for the magic show, but apparently the dress was too tight on him. When he and Annie arrive at the Chill Zone he's sweating up a storm and in their next confessional Annie is struggling to pull off his heels.
    • While trying to complete the Dune Buggy challenge, Fabian and Nekota wind up in the middle of MacArthur and Kitty's clash resulting in them crashing into a dune and flipping over till upside down.
    • Sam and May's magic act wasn't just the trick as described, it also included Sam juggling, releasing doves, holding a python, pulling a bunch of rabbits out of a hat, swallowing a sword, masquerading as the lion and finally capped off with both of them (and the various animals) on top of a giant cake with sparklers. Almost everybody present applauds in awe.
    • When Carrie expresses her animosity towards the Ice Dancers, Devin mentions how she even forgave the kid who shaved half her head when they were at sleepaway camp.
    • Crimson and Ennui arrive at the Chill Zone and spook Don, as usual, but much to his chagrin Sam and May do the exact same thing not a second later.
  • "El Bunny Supremo"; on the bus ride to Mexico Fabian informs Junior about how he once got severe food poisoning and used it as leverage against his family to not go back to New Mexico, this makes Junior think twice about eating the surfers burritos.
  • "Panic! At The Frisco"; on a meta level the fact that Bay Area natives May and Fabian (Sam and Jordan have only moved there recently due to college) go to San Francisco when they are on a race around the world, by their own admission they practically go there once a month as they live only 45 minutes away.
    • Jordan, Sam and May recall the many wonderful memories they've had with Fabian's family over the years, including bad hair braiding experiences, being drawn upon, driving annoying little girls around, getting injured at sports games, having to sleep with someone who snores and getting a Kubrick Stare from his father at every meal.
    • While sailing out in the bay, Devin (still experiencing some after effects from the pepper) nearly sails his and Carrie's boat into Tom & Jen's boat after believing he saw a sea serpent.
    • When the Ice Dancers sabotage the boats of the Cadets and the Gym Rats, they jerry rig a contraption made of bungee cables to keep their sails aloft but in order to make sure they stay up Nekota has to get in the middle and holds it together with his arms and legs, parodying a famous Jean-Claude Van Damme commercial, complete with "Only Time" by Enya playing.
    • The Ice Dancers get their buoy tip snatched by a sea lion. When it's reclaimed Josee slaps it for good measure but that only causes more sea lions to attack them.
      • Conversely, a harbor seal gives Annie the tip.
    • While the Animaniacs, Anime Nerds and Father/Son run to Haight-Ashbury through Pier 39 Fabian happily points out all the various shops and attractions along the way.
      • Subsequently, Devin gets frightened by the Bush Man. (A street performer who made his living along the pier from 1980 to 2014)
      • In addition, Tom must pry Jen away from the window of an upscale giftshop.
    • While running through the city, Leo gets stopped by an officer who witnessed him carrying a sleeping Annie (who's described as being covered in various colors as a result of the spray paint.)
    • The Cadets make a mural described as looking like Alice in Wonderland, with Josee as The Queen of Hearts, holding Jacques' severed head in her hand.
    • Don asks why the sisters arrived so much later, even though they were right behind the Animaniacs, Anime Nerds & Father/Son: they respond that they were offered some free tea, lost track of time for a while and wound up at the Palace Of Fine Arts.
    • To get to CAL Academy quickly, MacArthur took over a tour bus.
  • In "Ca-Noodling", when the first Super Team heads out into the delta Josee and MacArthur get into an intense staring contest, to the point where Fabian asks if they're trying to set each other on fire by sheer thought. Josee remarks "a little bit of both actually".
    • As the second Super Team takes off into the delta, Brody holds up a chum bucket, leading to this humorous tangent.
Geoff: (Covers one eye) You can’t foil my plans this time Krabs. I went to college! (People laugh, suddenly the boat hits a rock and the chum bucket lands on Dwayne)
Junior: Am I the only one who realized that Plankton is trying to enforce cannibalism on the fishes of Bikini Bottom?
Kitty: Fish eat fish, it’s kind of the aquatic food chain.
Jen: Going off of that, what are Krabby Patties made from again?
Devin: (mysterious) No one really knows.
    • When Jacques acquires the zip-it catfish Sam is quick to point out how he "doesn't like to stick his fingers into a damp, moist orifice".
    • This confessional:
Jen: In all fairness we kind of feel like since the fishing challenge is over we don’t have to cooperate with them anymore.
Tom: But we don’t want to tell them that, I mean that would be like telling a kid that Santa Claus isn’t real. I mean every kid already figures that out by the time they’re 10 but they don’t let their parents know that they don’t know so that way the flow of presents doesn’t stall.
Junior: (cuts in) I can testify to that.
    • During a montage set in the war time tunnels Dwayne sets off a booby trap which results in him and Junior having to out run a boulder. Of course the parody is capped off, no pun intended, when Junior has to retrieve his hat just as a door is about to close on his team.
  • In "How Deep Is Your Love", on the flight to Russia Dwayne insists he's not cursed right before he opens a can of soda which sprays him with fizz. He then calmly asks for a napkin.
    • Expressing his dislike of the ice yacht challenge, Junior remarks " I don’t know who thought this challenge was a good idea but they must work for Woody Allen because I’m not laughing."
    • As Annie, Carrie and Jen are lowered into the Kola Borehole all 3 sing a song eerily similar to "Into The Deep" from The Backyardigans episode of the same name. Although Devin and Tom notice how unconventional it is, Leo tells them heed no concern.
    • When Junior finds the ball his father cranks him up so fast he gets a headrush.
    • Leo and Annie beat the Ice Dancers' penalty at the very last second, which is funny enough, but what sells it is when Josee tells Jacques that she'll throw a tantrum later and will give him a 5 minute headstart.
  • In "Darjeel With It", as the Siblings are about to get the first tip of the leg Don introduces them as "the HONORABLE Leo and Annie" just to further rub it in the faces of the Ice Dancers.
    • May and Fabian recall when they took a trip to Washington DC, which at one point involved May's dad being licked by the first family's dog.
    • Josee proclaims that Dwayne and Junior are the weakest team left, followed up by Dwayne somehow managing to pull out a cobra from the tea bushes.
    • Annie and Leo only have to cross one train car. Which sounds easy, except when she opens the car door Leo gets headbutted by a goat.
    • To avoid the cobras present in their first car, Fabian and Jordan decide to climb onto the roof. When they try and run across, a cobra pops out of the sunroof and wraps itself around Fabian, leading to this classic Shout-Out.
Fabian: Gets this mother (trains whistle blows) snake off this mother (train whistle blows again) train!!
    • Thankfully Fabian is saved by a monkey which leads to the next funny moment. Sam and May standing surrounded by an army of monkeys they somehow took control of. Fabian remarks that it's only the 8th weirdest thing he's seen competing on the show.
    • As Devin and Carrie are about to enter their first car, he's about to confess his love for her, when a tiger pops out and roars right in his face, leaving him somewhat stunned senseless.
    • Tom and Jen prepare to enter their first car, prepared for anything, when they open it to find a bunch of pigs. They remark how anticlimactic it is when one of the pigs looks at them all crazy, seeing them as gingerbread men and lunges at them, causing them to shut the door.
    • Just as Josee pulls the lever which disconnects the cars, a goat headbutts Annie and Leo right into both her and the cabin.
    • The insult fest between Leo and Josee:
Josee: Has anybody ever told you you've got a great face for radio?
Leo: Yeah, and they must've been the same person who told you to wear that outfit on TV.
Josee: I'd like to insult you but it looks like already nature beat me to it.
Leo: Does Hades know you're not doing your job of guarding the gates of the underworld?
Josee: Did you say something, or was that the wind?
Leo: Clearly when God made you, he was experimenting.
Josee: You could talk your head off all day long and never miss it.
Leo: You'd make a fortune renting yourself out as a hot air balloon inflator.
Josee: Last time I saw a mouth as big as yours it was swallowing a whole school of sardines.
Leo: I should always travel with you right next to me, that way I'd always look great.
Josee: Don't be humble. You're not that great.
Leo: You've lost the art of conversation, but unfortunately not the power of speech.
Josee: We're all descended from apes, and in your case it really shows.
Leo: You've got all the sensitivity of a blunt ax.
Josee: Out of all the sperm cells how did you cross the finish line first?
Leo: You've got Van Gogh's ear for music.
Josee: And you've got Stevie Wonder's eye for color.
Leo: You're a good example as to why the Tasmanian she devil eats most of her joeys.
Josee: If your feet could run as fast your mouth then maybe you'd finally prove to be a worthy competitor.
Leo: Could you say that again? This time like a big girl?
Josee: Keep rolling your eyes, maybe you'll find a brain back there.
Leo: Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day? Cause thou hast no class.
Josee: You're not worth the dirt you'll be buried in.
Leo: You're a great arithmetician, you add trouble, subtract pleasure, divide attention and multiply ignorance.
Josee: I've been called worse things by better people.
Leo: If you're going to be 2-faced at least one of them should be pretty.
Josee: I could drink a whole can of alphabet soup and vomit up a smarter response than that.
Leo: If you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a terrible warning.
Josee: There's nothing wrong with you that reincarnation won't cure. Allow me to speed up the process! (Grabs a knife and throws it at him, he miraculously dodges in time.)
  • "Acropolis Now"; Don gives his usual informational excerpt on the country today's leg takes place in. However since it's Greece, when he says "Oopah!" someone throws a vase at his head, and he remarks "Who even started that stupid tradition?"
    • Dwayne and Junior take Devin and Carrie's canon place of having an elephant sit on their taxi. Junior remarks that his life has reached a point where such events don't phase him.
    • Devin confides in Sam that he has to tell Carrie the truth, to which Sam thinks this means he's going to tell her what happened at the end of The LEGO Movie.
      • Following up on this, Sam then tells him that he asked May to start dating him right after they watched Tarrlok and Amon blow themselves to bits.
    • Upon learning that the first task he must perform is snagging a tip from a lion's mane, Dwayne starts praying for Wonder Woman to save him.
    • Sam remarks THIS ISN'T SPARTA! upon seeing the Spartan armor and weapons they should wear when fighting the lions.
    • At "The Stymphalian Birds" labor, Fabian fires one arrow to hit a drone but somehow hits 5 instead.
    • To complete the Erymanthian Boar labor, MacArthur puts her boar in a headlock.
      • Dwayne completes the task by using a truffle like a dog treat.
    • Josee completes the "Cerberus" labor by barking louder than the dogs.
    • In true Looney Tunes fashion Sam complete the "Cretan Bull" challenge by beckoning the bull with a cape, the bull runs right at him and hits a rock behind the cape, knocking it silly. He even remarks "Don't you just love cartoons?"
    • At the "Belt Of Hippolyta" labor, Annie gets birds to help her decorate her statue while Fabian falls off his when he touches its private parts.
    • The way how MacArthur gets her horse to comply during the "Mares of Diomedes" labor
  • In "Rome For The Holidays", when Leo reads the title of the first challenge "Pasta La Vista" he remarks how cliché that name is.
  • "Westminster Side Story", on the flight over to England Jacques and Josee sing a twisted version of "Maria" from The Sound of Music, detailing all the reasons Annie annoys them and how they could get rid of her.
    • Leo and Annie tell us how their grandparents meet, when their grandfather came to America in search of work their grandmother hit him with her car and they bonded while he recuperated and she paid for the medical bills.
    • At the beginning of the rowboat challenge:
MacArthur: What kind of canoe is this?
    Sanders: It’s not a canoe, it’s a punt.
MacArthur: Hey I don’t like Jaqueline Frost anymore than you but that word is never kosher.
    Sanders: I said PUNT.
    MacArthur: Oh.
    • While explaining the Stonehenge challenge, Don mentions how some people think aliens built them but then retorts that smarter people believe the druids built them.
    • After being beaten by Annie's good luck once again, Jacques pulls back the slingshot with such intensity that he creates a mushroom cloud when he lets the cannonball go, complete with bits of armor raining down on the remaining contestants.
    • Just like poor Claire, Fabian manages to injure himself during the slingshot challenge but with a cannonball instead of a watermelon.
      • While unconscious we take a look inside Fabian's mind, which is modeled after Inside Out except there aren't 5 emotions at the control but one singular emotion that morphs from one to the next.
    • In some standard issue Black Comedy Sam and May remark that on the way to the chill zone they stopped at Harry Nilsson's apartment. (It's the place of death for both Mama Cass Elliot of The Mamas & the Papas and Keith Moon of The Doors)
    • Fabian passes out on the steps to the chill zone and falls all the way down. Normally not funny, but what makes it funny is when he gets runover by several Great Danes dragging their walker along the ground.
    • Fed up with all they've gone through over the course of the day, when Josee and Jacques show no concern for Fabian after the Animaniacs get eliminated Jordan tells them to ''Stuff it up your Latvian c%&$#! Both of you!''
  • "Capitol Idea", when Jacques and Josee realize they are on the opposite side of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool they just wade right through the water in order to get to the don box.
  • "Last Tango In Buenos Aires", when Sam and May first attempt the tango challenge Sam once again dislocates his a part of his body, but just like in Romania the judge is unimpressed and actually vomits. Even Sam admits this was a foolish decision on his part.
    May: She’s faking it.
    Annie: How can you tell?
May: Trust me, I know these sorts of things.
Leo: (Holds head in solace) Why us? What did we ever do to deserve this?
Sam: Well I guess it all started back when I was 4 and watched this pretty lady’s underwear spin at the laundromat.
Leo: Correction, what did I ever do to deserve this?
    • After saying one particularly groan worthy pun, Kitty and Emma break character and ask TD series director Keith Oliver if they have to say it and he tells them (or rather their va's Stephanie Anne Mills and Stacey Depass) that since they're under contract they must and if they have an issue with it they can talk to Craig. (Probably referring to Craig Martin, who wrote the episode in canon)
    • After checking in at the chill zone, Annie remarks that she just realized how funny it was that her brother fought the lions in Greece, which was 4 chapters prior.
    • Upon learning that this leg is non-elimination, everyone reacts with a Face Palm, including the rhea!
  • "Bahama-rama", when Kitty calls the Ice Dancers "the worst" Josee responds that Henrich Himmler was the worst. Jacques asks her why she must compare them to a Nazi and Josee retorts that unlike Nazi's they don't discriminate.
    • Before Josee participates in the scuba diving challenge, we are treated to a montage of her claustrophobic moments over the race, with the text calling out the reader for being a goldfish.
    • While sharing his oxygen with Josee Sam says it's no big problem because he's got great lung capacity, complete with an raised eyebrow to the camera.
    • Jacques asks Josee if they should pass Sam & May in spite of the fact Sam saved her from the caverns, Josee responds "Is Geico running out of rhetorical questions for those stupid ass commercials?". Cue the Geico logo appearing above them, which Josee promptly tosses into the water before departing.
  • "A Million Ways to Lose $ 1 Million", upon reading the first tip of the leg the races notice how it specifically doesn't wish Jacques and Josee good luck.
    • How do Sam and May cut through NYC traffic? They play "Stupid Hoe" by Nicki Minaj on the taxis radio and turn up the volume. Sam even openly thanks her, which is something he'd never thought he'd have to say.
    • Leo and Annie find a quicker way down the stairs of the Empire State Building than walking, they slide down the bannister.
      • Josee's reaction to being passed by them is to scream so loud it causes a Broadway performer to not watch where he’s going and fall into the orchestra.
      • Topping them, Sam and May roll themselves up in non-toxic insulation before falling down the stairs.
    • Also functioning as a really well deserved retribution for him, Leo beats Chris McLean with a suitcase for all of the crap he's pulled in canon.
      • Coming off of this:
Chris: (Hurt) I don’t know who you are but you’re banned from any and all future shows I may host!
Leo: (Out the window) The day I’m on one of your shows is the day there’s a black woman in both the White House AND the Vatican!
      (Confessional)
Leo: For the record I said that not because I don’t believe it’s impossible but the world in which we live in is making it impossible by not providing enough opportunities. Unless we change people.
    • When Sam and May arrive at the bottom and cut free of the insulation roll, they unknowingly cross paths with Anne Maria, who just walks off in the opposite direction when they decide to make a mad dash to the chill zone.
      • Just like in Rome, they steal coffee from a corner side café in order to run faster.
    • To mess with the Ice Dancers one last time, Eris the goddess of chaos unleashes a swarm of rats on New York. Sam and May manage to run through it no problem but Jacques and Josee get rear ended and crash, and when they exit the taxi they get covered in silver and bronze paint while the gold paint falls on an innocent man who falls into the sewer.
    • Josee's freak out upon coming in 3rd place is even more glorious than in canon as she takes a tourist hostage and does a "King Kong" Climb up a LEGO model of the Empire State Building, which gets filmed by several pedestrians, one with a drone. When Jacques snaps her out of it both are shot with tranquilizer darts and fall on an air cushion. They wind up being in the peanut gallery on stretchers, just like when Izzy did it to Heather all they way back on Wawanakwa.
    • The montage of the eliminated teams giving a final confessional is full of hilarious moments like when Leonard and Tammy blow themselves up doing a chemistry demo, Jay and Mickey get frightened by a spider, Laurie admitting she would've eaten meat again if she had to, Ryan and Stephanie cease making out momentarily to comment on how cliché everyone's speeches are, and Fabian still having some lingering damage from the cannonball incident.
    • As part of their Smooch of Victory, Annie tackles Quince to the ground.
