    Leo Hirata

Leo Hirata

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/leo_kirita.png

Leo Hirata is a member of Kamigami, self-styled as Lightning Panther. He is a Tenbi alumnus and is referred to by Minori as Hopeless Leo. He, in turn, refers to her as the Natural Calamity and shows some fear whenever she shows up.

  • Attack Its Weak Point: Leo may be weak, but he's smart. Which he proved incapacitating Minori and Himegami at the same time, by using their fears against them: a string puppet of an octopus (Minori) and a ghost (Himegami).
  • Beware the Silly Ones: He initially seems like goofball, but was strong enough to make Takeru question whether he was really B-rank, like Minori said.
  • Butt-Monkey: To both Takeru and Minori, especially, who bullies him into doing what she says.
  • Elite Mook: Kamigari uses those of B-rank and lower as messengers. So Leo isn't privy to what the higher-ups are planning. He and his men simply follow orders.
  • A Father to His Men: Part of the reason he's chosen to stay with Kamigari, is to protect his two subordinates.
  • Forced into Evil: During his brief fight with Takeru, Leo admits he's thought of quitting Kamigari several times to join Tenbi. But he's so afraid of Ouken's Soul Collector"ability, that he feels he has no choice.
  • Get A Hold Of Yourself Man: After Gouken (who's being possessed by Takeru Yamato) essentially kills Himegami, Takeru goes into a blind fury and pounds the dude into the ground, killing him. Before he can keep going, however, Leo has to visibly restrain him (with great effort according to his cracking spine), telling him that continuing to beat Gouken's body would be ultimately pointless since Takeru can just find another one).
  • Idiot Hair: To keep up with his "cool" persona, he styles his hair as such.
  • Japanese Delinquents: He certainly looks like one.
  • Nice Guy: Aside from being a member of Kamigari, effectively putting him on the opposite side of Tenbi Academy, there's really nothing about Leo that would classify him as a villain. He's caring, thoughtful, and considers Takeru whom he just recently met his "cute kouhai" and doesn't want to let him down as his senpai.
  • Older Than He Looks: Considering he was in the same year as Minori, Aki, Akaya, and Gen, he's gotta be pushing past 30 despite looking in his early/mid-twenties.
  • Overshadowed by Awesome: While nothing to sneeze at, Leo is only a B-rank ability user. So he feels inadequate compared to Takeru, whose ability has already surpassed his own. However, he feels utterly eclipsed by Himegami, after witnessing the sheer scale of one of her lightning spells and said he found it hard to believe she'd been holding back.
  • Shock and Awe: Leo specializes in the use of lightning Element, thanks to his Maken's Generator Electron ability.

    Kajiru Sorana

Kajiru Sorana

Click here to see her original appearance
A third-year member of Tenbi, she has been brainwashed by Kamigari and is a major antagonist in the Hime Kagura arc, serving under Otohime Yamato. She is a large girl, towering over people at Tenbi, and lacks the buxom figure the majority of female students have. Before her participation in Kamigari, she was one of the Four Pillars of Tenbi.
  • Acrofatic: She may be large and obese but don't her size fool you, as Takeru found out, she's much more deadly than she appears to be.
  • Anti-Villain: There's nothing really "evil" about her, except for the fact that she's working under Otohime (which we even know isn't even her own choice due to her brainwashing).
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: Downplayed. While she and her others are definitely brainwashed into fighting for Otohime and by extension, Takeru Yamato, she's laid back and calm headed most of the time.
  • Blush Sticker: Constantly sports one of these.
  • The Dreaded: Was called one of the Four Pillars of Tenbi Academy, meaning she was one of the four strongest fighters.
  • Friendly Enemy: Enough to greet Azuki warmly during her moring jog and wish her well in their upcoming match, despite being on opposing sides with her.
  • Huge School Girl: She completely towers over every other female character in the series.
  • Gonk: Due to her obesity and status as the Big Girl, her face is chubby and scrunched.
    • Completely averted later as we find out that her muscled form is just a body suit that is used to amplify her powers. Her actual true form is that of a slim and pretty young girl, looking like a combination of both Minori and Haruko.
  • Implacable Woman: Sorano's pliancy makes her extremely resilient, allowing her to withstand tremendous amounts of force with little discomfort. At most, she's only seen bleeding slightly from the corner of her mouth. Yet, she was still smiling and was able to continue fighting. And, if need be, she can even make her body harder than diamond at will.
  • Leotard of Power: She begins her match with Azuki by tearing off her school uniform, revealing a light armored powersuit underneath. It resembles a one-piece swimsuit with a low-cut back and thong, along with a pair of thigh-high boots.
  • Oh, Crap!: The one serious moment of her fight with Azuki is when she finally realizes that Azuki has somehow become faster than even Love Espada.
  • Pacifist: According to her, she loathes fighting even her enemies and would rather resolve conflicts peacefully.
  • Rubber Woman: She can manipulate her body and expand/stretch it to her heart's content.
  • Shoulder Teammate: Usually seen carrying the smaller girls on her team like Otohime and Hoshii on her shoulders.
  • Sweet Tooth: Like Hoshii, she really loves sweets.
  • Stone Wall: Upon realizing Azuki has the upperhand in terms of speed and power, Sorano settles for stalling her. Every time Azuki attempts to reach the summit in order to win the contest, Sorano uses her reach keep her from getting near it. And once the attack on the school begins, she doesn't allow her to return to the campus to help the other students either.
  • Temporary Bulk Change: Basically the foundation of her powers, as her Maken "Kanayago" allows her to condense her muscles and freely alter her bone structure.
  • This Cannot Be!: Played for Laughs during her fight with Azuki, in chapter 82. Each time she starts to boast about her stretching ability, Azuki cuts her off midsentence by either finding a way to counter her, or vanishing from her sight altogether.
  • You Shall Not Pass!: She and the other three Pillars challenge the Maken-ki during the next round of the Himekagura (chapters 81-84), to stall them while Takeru Yamato and the Shishigami launch a surprise attack on Tenbi Academy.

    Love Espada

Love Espada

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/espada_love.png

One of the Four Pillars and a Third-Year Tenbi student. Known for being one of the strongest ability users of the school, Espada Love made her first appearance in Chapter 62, near the beginning of the Hime-Kagura arc.

She fights for Kamigari, as she serves directly under Otohime thanks to the latter utilizing a mysterious form of brainwashing. Furthermore, she wields one of one the Eight Heavenly Maken.

  • The Ace: It's been clearly established that she's one of the strongest characters in the series to date, having been one of the "Four Pillars of Tenbi", and she's virtually unrivalled in terms of sex appeal.
  • Affably Evil: She isn't "evil" so much as conscripted, due to Otohime's mind control. Aside from that, the worst that can be said about her is, she's extremely horny and has a habit of seducing other students.
  • All Women Are Lustful:
    • Espada is openly bisexual, though she's mainly built a reputation for seducing other women and is alleged to have seduced over 100 girls during Tenbi's previous Himekagura Festival.
    • She also has a lady boner for Takeru, which is first alluded to during chapter 65 when she tries seducing him in the boys locker-room. But she makes it blatant in chapter 90, where she glomps him from behind to rub his crotch, while shoving his hand under her skirt to make him rub her too.
    • Chapter 111 hangs a massive lampshade on the extent of Espada's depravity by pitting her in a sex contest against Red Desire: a succubus version of herself.
  • At Least I Admit It: Espada is well aware of the reputation she's earned from sleeping around, because she proudly admits it herself. So she entices the male students to lust for her body because she's even hornier than they are. Which is the reason Red Desire's Lust Swamp had no effect on her.
  • Attention Whore: Judging by her thoughts when the crowd was staring at her, she gets off on their desire for her body. So she entices them by dressing and posing provocatively; which makes her a source of irritation for Celia.
  • Berserk Button: She's usually too horny to take anything seriously, but there's one thing even she won't tolerate: do not touch her sex slaves. A fatal error Red Desire didn't live to regret, when she made the mistake of trying to take Kominenote  away from her.
  • Best Her to Bed Her: Essentially what she lives by as she favors strong people and seems perfectly willing to let even someone like Takeru sleep with her just because he impressed her in the thumb war match.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: Downplayed. While she and her others are definitely brainwashed into fighting for Otohime and by extension, Takeru Yamato, she's laid back and calm headed most of the time.
  • Blood Knight: Finds pleasure in fighting worthy adversaries and is always on the lookout for someone to go head to head with that won't get curb stomped.
  • Chick Magnet: With few exceptions, virtually anyone who lays their eyes on her becomes hers for the taking (see The Pornomancer and Really Gets Around entries).
  • Comically Missing the Point:
    • When Otohime chews her out for trying to seduce the boys in the middle of a match, Espada corrects her by saying that she's seducing boys and girls.
    • Also seen in chapter 98, when Idaten calls her "lewd woman" for shamelessly exposing herself to him during their battle. Instead of being insulted, she assumes he's talking dirty to her, which makes her horny.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: She's beaten nearly everyone that's challenged her with minimal effort, at best (usually within seconds). Though she finally gets a taste of her own medicine in chapter 83, thanks to Ceilia.
  • Didn't See That Coming: Twice.
    • She never imagined Azuki would be capable of landing a solid hit on her, after the latter's embarrassing performance against Hoshii.
    • And in chapter 83, she was forced to concede defeat against Ceilia and withdraw from the match, due to her injuries.
  • Discard and Draw: Since Furuno was stolen from her by Yamato Takeru, who gave it to Idaten, Takaki allows Espada to use Habaya to make up for it.
  • Does This Remind You of Anything?: She wears a Playboy Bunny costume in chapters 70 and 72 and keeps her mic tucked in her cleavage. Wait — a tall busty blonde, in a bunny outfit, with an object between her melons...? Erina Goldsmith, Is that you?
  • Double Standard: Rape, Female on Female: Espada excels at seducing other women, even if they aren't willing, 'cuz they will be by the time she's done with them.
    • There's two instances of Attempted Rape, which are treated as heinous since it was guys doing it. Yet, the incident where Love Espada did the same thing to Takaki, Haruko, Minori, and Aki, is brushed off as fanservice. Takeru and Usui were only upset that they weren't there to see it.
    • And she does it to Kyoki (chapter 76), despite her initial protests. By the time Espada's done with her minutes later, Kyoki is shown to be fully aroused and perfectly okay with it.
  • Do You Want to Copulate?: She would've let Takeru bang her in the boy's locker room, if he hadn't turned her down. Though the other students are more than willing to accept. In some cases, she doesn't even have to ask.
  • The Dreaded: Was called one of the Four Pillars of Tenbi Academy, meaning she was one of the four strongest fighters.
  • Evil Makeover: Subverted. At first, one might think Espada's lustful behavior is due to being uninhibited by Otohime's mind control, but according to Takaki and Haruko, she's always been that way.
  • Extreme Libido: By her own admission (in chapter 111), she's always in heat and willing to let anyone f*ck her. Including the apparitions that were summoned by Red Desire.
Espada: (at Red Desire) "I am Love Espada: A girl who's always in heat! All day. All night."
  • Flash Step: Is fast enough to cover long distances in almost no time at all, as seen here.
  • Head-Turning Beauty: In the short time she's been at Tenbi, she's become the Lust Object of the student body at large, due to her shameless sex appeal and because she's openly bisexual.
  • Hypocritical Humor: Done in chapter 97, when Haruko calls Espada out for trying to get Takeru to do her doggystyle, by pretending to carry him.
Haruko: "That's no way to carry someone! It's not supposd to look THAT indecent!"
Espada: (feigning innocence) "What is it? Aren't you the dirty one for thinking like that? I just want him to hurry and put it — To let me carry him ♥"
Haruko: "There!! You said something obscene!"
  • I Am Not Left-Handed: Though she wasn't allowed to use her Maken in her only seen fight, the fact that she was able to curb stomp most of the other team without it as opposed to her teammates who somewhat struggled showcases just how far above she is everyone else. One can only imagine how dangerous she would be when she unleashes her original Maken.
  • Instant Seduction: Her in-universe appeal is off the scale.
    • The 70.5 omake chapter has her bring an unnamed waitress to orgasm, by simply sucking spilled tea from her fingers (SFW). And, by the end of the chapter, she's voluntarily become Espada's Sex Slave.
    • And in chapter 76, she seduces Kyoki, an intern for Tenbi's disciplinary committee.
  • Invincible Villain:
    • She's defeated everyone who's tried to face her with minimal effort, usually in seconds. Even Minori, Haruko, and Takaki's combined might prove no match for her and her Element level is said to be more than twice that of Takeru's.
    • Finally subverted as of chapters 79 and 83, by Azuki and Ceilia respectively (noted in the Didn't See That Coming entry)..
  • Jizzed in My Pants: Any display of power, provided it's strong enough, will cause Espada to wet herself:
    • First seen in chapter 70, when Ceilia's sudden outburst of Element causes Espada to blush and tremble with excitement, as she starts dripping from it.
Espada: "Don't get so angry and spew your power everywhere. You're turning me on. ♥"
Espada: (thinking) "Here she IS! ♥ The one who makes me numb... and WET ♥"
  • Know When to Fold 'Em: After Celia proves herself to be much stronger than she expected, Espada promptly calls it quits and escapes, hoping for another opportunity to fight her. Note that this is the first time that Espada has ever been forced to retreat from any enemy.
  • Lecherous Licking: Does this occasionally, whenever she's in the middle of curb-stomping someone or when she's got everyone looking at her.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Not just physically imposing, she can move at super high speeds and take even Takeru who went through hellish training completely off guard.
  • Lust Object: There's hardly a student at Tenbi that wouldn't jump at the opportunity to get between her legs if given the chance.
  • Male Gaze: She's second only to Himegami in that department.
    • In chapter 70, she gets two panels on page 10, with the top-right focusing on her cleavage, while the left-center panel is zoomed-in on her backside.
    • Later, when Celia confronts her onstage, Espada is given two more close-ups on page 18. The upper-right one is zoomed in on her breasts and includes a noticeable pair of nipple slips. The next panel is angled from below to place emphasis on her legs and buttocks and also shows she's dripping.
    • The 70.5 omake chapter includes a carefully censored zoom-in panel of Komine licking tea off some area of Espada's body. Though the very next panel shows she's on her knees, with a saliva trail extending from her tongue to Espada's panty covered crotch.
    • And in chapter 79, pages 20 and 22 both include a framed shot of Espada's panties as she cums from Azuki making her bleed.
  • Memetic Molester: Espada is a canonical example, due to having an established history of sexually assaulting other female students. Even if they're unwilling, at first, they won't be by the time she's done with them. Some have even voluntarily become her sex slaves, such as the unnamed waitress in chapter 70.5.
  • The Modest Orgasm: Noted in the Jizzed in My Pants entry.
  • Ms. Fanservice: One wonders why she even bothers wearing a school uniform if she's just going to end up half naked in her scantily dressed thong most of the time.
  • No-Sell: No matter what who, or what, anyone has tried - from Tesshin's "Zekken", a direct attack from Takeru, Takaki's arrows, Kai's 'Partition', or even the combined might of Haruko, Takaki, and friggin' Minori attacking her all at once - all of it has failed to even faze her. She's treated all of it as though they were inconsequential.
    • Finally subverted in chapter 79, by Azuki, whose attack made Espada bleed.
  • "Not If They Enjoyed It" Rationalization:
    • Not all of her conquests have been willing, at least, not at first. But given her track record and the sheer number of horny hopefuls that are eager to be next in line... they're not complaining.
    • Chapter 111 reveals that she has a hidden rape fetish. When the Desires in the Lust Swamp slut shame her for always teasing them, she asks why they didn't sexually assault her. Not only would she have been okay with it, she lets them do it right then and there! But they only manage to last a few minutes before dissipating.
  • The Pornomancer: Her sex appeal is such, that both sexes willingly submit to her desires.
    • In chapter 76, she's said to have had sex with over 100 girls at the previous Himekagura. The same chapter has her seduce Kyoki (despite her initial protests), reducing her to lust driven/lovestruck putty in mere moments.
    • It continues in chapter 79 where she seduces another group of girls and leaves them collapsed on the floor, with several still trembling in orgasm.
    • Despite this, on two occasions, she notes that it's been quite some time since she last slept with a man, due to being unable to find one who appeals to her. But also makes it clear that she's still looking.
  • Really Gets Around: She's built a reputation for seducing other women, due to having instigated at least two all-girl orgies, during the Himekagura Festival (specifics noted in the previous entry).
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Right before she struck Takeru with her "Split S" special attack. All that can be seen is a single glowing eye, while the upper half of her face is cast in shadow.
  • Say It with Hearts: Whenever she's horny, her speech bubbles will always include a ♥. Including the time Azuki made her squirt. The sound effect hiragana was accompanied by another ♥.
  • Sex Goddess: Covered extensively in the Pornomancer entry.
  • "Sex" is My Middle Name: Being called names like "lewd woman" and "whore" doesn't bother her. Neither does the possibility of being sexually assaulted. She welcomes all of it because it's who she is and she's willing to put out to anyone who wants it: male, female, or even apparitions.
  • Shameless Fanservice Girl: Despite her late introduction, the manga wastes no time establishing Love Espada as having a raging libido and just as eager to please.
    • Shortly after arriving at Tenbi, she went into the boy's locker-room in nothing but a string bikini and high-heels, in an attempt to seduce Takeru, then and there. It took all his willpower to turn her down, but he couldn't help staring, later.
    • In chapter 70, she wore a Playboy Bunny costume while making the announcements at the Himekagura Festival. When she noticed how all the guys were staring, she got turned on and started to strip for them. Her friend, Hoshii, kept her from doing it, so Espada did the next best thing: she stuffed the mic down her cleavage and bent over onstage, to give the crowd a clear view of what she had to offer.
    • Three chapters later, she drew another crowd when she started posing provocatively. When Otohime tells her to stop trying to seduce the boys and focus on their objective, Espada replies that it wasn't just the boys she was after.
    • Calling her derogatory slurs only turns her on, because she revels in it. While trapped in the Lust Swamp, she was mobbed by apparitions of male students, who called her a whore for always teasing them, yet never letting them screw her. Being demeaned and treated as an object aroused her, prompting Espada to spread her legs and let them do it.
  • Slasher Smile: Sports a terrifying one when she tells Takeru that she killed Tesshin.
    • Which in fact turns out to be false as we see Tesshin alive and well a few chapters later.
  • Story-Breaker Power: Her Maken Furuno allows her to freely manipulate the friction of anything that her rapier cuts (even the air). This effectively allows her to not only slow down her opponent's movements severely, but also increase her own by decreasing the friction of her body. If it wasn't for Celia, who's shown to be one of the strongest characters in the series using her own broken ability to reverse anything (including the state of being affected), Espada would have no doubt defeated her.
  • Too Kinky to Torture: In chapter 111, Red Desire attempts to immerse Espada in her Lust Swamp ability, which triggers the innermost desires of anyone caught in its area of effect. The end result being that the victim succumbs to their own carnality until they become a drooling sex slave. Except using it against Espada was a waste of time, because she already is and proudly admits it.
  • Women Prefer Strong Men: ...and WOMEN.
    • Just hearing the rumors of Takeru's strength was enough to turn her on him, and when Celia confronts her onstage at the festival, Celia's aggression and sudden outburst of Element made Espada wet enough that she was dripping.
    • It happens again in chapter 79, when the force from Azuki's newly evolved Maken was strong enough to draw blood from her. Espada gets so turned on, that she actually squirts; complete with hiragana sound effect and a ♥.
  • Worthy Opponent:
    • Otohime had sentenced Tesshin to death for betraying them, but Espada felt it would shameful for someone of his caliber to die defenselessly. So she asked that he be released from his shackles, so he could die honorably in a proper duel.
    • She also gained a newfound respect for Celia, for forcing her to withdraw from their duel in chapter 83.
    • As of chapter 98, Takeru regards Espada the same way. He still doesn't fully trust her, but he openly acknowledges her strength. She replies that hearing such words from him is the highest praise she could receive.

    Hoshii Kawase

Hoshii Kawase

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hoshii.png

A third-year student at Tenbi and formerly one of the Four Pillars. She becomes a major antagonist during the Himekagura Arc, after being brainwashed by Kamigari, though she's motivated by greed, to the point of willingly divulging how her Maken works, after being paid by Hai. But despite her unassuming appearance and outwardly comical nature, she has her distinction for a reason...

  • Affably Evil: There's nothing really "evil" about her, except for the fact that she's working under Otohime (which we even know isn't even her own choice due to her brainwashing).
  • Awesomeness by Analysis: She uses her laptop for more than just investing in stocks; she can record the data on an individual's element power and use it as a measuring stick.
  • The Dreaded: Was called one of the Four Pillars of Tenbi Academy, meaning she was one of the four strongest fighters.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: Downplayed. While she and her others are definitely brainwashed into fighting for Otohime and by extension, Takeru Yamato, she's laid back and calm headed most of the time.
  • Didn't See That Coming: It never occurred to her that Yamato Takeru would impale her with his hand for allowing Kai to get past her.
  • Greed: Embodies the trope more than anyone else, what with her constantly investing millions of dollars into stocks to make a quick buck. She's so greedy that she had no qualms with revealing the secret behind her Maken to the enemy if they paid her enough. Otohime has to shut her up before she can ruin one of the only advantages Team Yamato has.
  • Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: By Takeru Yamato as punishment for failing to prevent Kai from escaping her.
  • Luck Stat: How her Maken functions, it's a zone-type that manipulates luck. Every event of bad luck that Hoshii encounters is converted to good luck and stored in Yata; the worse the event, the more good luck stored. Hoshii can then withdraw good luck whenever she wishes. The range of her ability is a 150m radius around her.
  • Money Fetish: Is absolutely obsessed with money to the point that her Maken drew its abilities from her greed and morphed into a power that would help her sedate her lust for money.
  • Morality Pet: Zigzagged. Hoshii seems to be the only thing keeping Espada's insatiable libido in check (albeit, just barely).
    • When she started to strip onstage at the Himekagura Festival, Hoshii had to stop her before she actually went through with it. So Espada did the next best thing by bending over, to give the crowd a good look at what she had to offer.
    • But during Hoshii's absence, Espada is unrestrained and freely indulges in all-girl orgies. Such as the group of girls she left half-naked and disheveled in chapter 79.
  • Muscles Are Meaningless: Hoshii's physique may lack muscle tone, but she's one of The Four Pillars of Tenbi for a reason.
  • Oh, Crap!: During the Pole Toppling match, she (along with Espada) weren't expecting one of the few people who can use casting to be on the enemies side.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Despite being the shortest member among the Four Pillars, Hoshii's physical strength is alarming. As seen when she one-shot Azuki with a single punch - a feat which even Yan-Min couldn't accomplish despite using her Reilii.
  • Professional Gambler: Aside from her role as being one of the major antagonists during the festival arc, her main activities involve her trying to make money as quick as she can.
  • Smug Super: Holds an aura of superiority towards Azuki when the two briefly clash. Though, based on the way she was handling her, her attitude is justified.
  • Sweet Tooth: Like Kajiru, she really loves sweets.
  • You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: Her job was to stop Kai from getting past her and reaching the Academy, since his casting ability was the only thing that could stop Takeru Yamato's Word Bullet. So he cuts her off in mid-sentence, by shoving his fist through her chest, when she tries to apologize.

    Yumemiya Sui

Yumemiya Sui

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/yumeyima_4.png

A third-year member of Tenbi, she has been brainwashed by Kamigari and is a major antagonist in the Hime Kagura arc.

  • Awesome, but Impractical: Her Maken Futatsura is a power-type maken that allows the user to forcibly steal a right to anything. However, after activation, it cannot be used again for half a month which basically makes it useless and leaves her completely defenseless. Though, considering the fact that she was considered one of the four strongest girls of Tenbi Academy most likely before she received her Maken, she must have more power than just her maken.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: Averted. The flashback during chapter 88 shows she escaped Otohime's control by retreating to her subconscious mind. Then simply went along with her orders to bide to time to find help.
  • Cloud Cuckoolander: Which is the other reason the mind control didn't work. She tries to convince Himegami that she's telling the truth by asking if someone with eyes like hers would lie? So Himegami lifts Sui's bangs out of the way and sees she's wearing a sleep blinder with a pair of cartoonish eyes drawn on it. Himegami promptly uses it to whap her one.
  • Cute Bookworm: She initially looks and acts the part, but is later revealed to be more of a ditz.
  • The Dreaded: Was called one of Four Pillars of Tenbi Academy, meaning she was one of the four strongest fighters.
  • Eyes Out of Sight: We never get to see what she looks like, because her eyes are always hidden beneath the fringes of her hair. And when Himegami finally lifts her hair out of the way, she's wearing a sleep blinder with fake eyes drawn on it.
  • Girlish Pigtails: She keeps her hair fashioned in a twin pair of braids.
  • HeelFaceTurn: Also averted, since she wasn't evil to begin with, nor was she under Otohime's control.
  • Not Quite Dead: The scene at the infirmary (chapter 97) shows she survived having her soul stolen by Yamato Takeru. So did Love Espada and Sorano, leaving Hoshii as the only casualty among the Four Pillars.
  • Shrinking Violet: Is quite shy and doesn't speak much, not even to her own teammates.
