openHow do I add a new work? Webcomic
I've been planning on making a page for a webcomic named Freddy Fox (also known as Simon & Fred), but I don't know how to add a new work page onto this website. Link:
If you guys know how to do so, please reply. Thanks in advance, Bryson.
open Work transplant title quandary Webcomic
Hi all. Stumbled across Webcomic.Drive Dave Kellet and realized there was an issue, as the author's name is Dave Kellet't'. I want to transplant the content to an untypoed name, but wasn't sure if it should be Webcomic.Drive Dave Kellett or Webcomic.Drive Webcomic. All the other media with the same name have their years after the name (such as Film.Drive 2011). What should I choose?
openHomestuck page namespaced incorrectly Webcomic
LaterArrivalSpoiler.Homestuck should be at LateArrivalSpoiler.Homestuck, should it not? Later Arrival Spoiler isn't a trope, and if this was done intentionally, it strikes me the same as potholing a trope name in the list, which is against the rules.
Edited by ChloeJessicaopenOld Shame and Reboot Policy Webcomic
There's a webcomic I've recently come across called Sparklecare. Of course, my first thought was to go pimping ahoy! However, the current page is written with tropes for a now-inaccessible "preboot" - essentially, it's all about the author's Old Shame, rather than the fresh new comic (under the same name). As a result, almost all the tropes are inapplicable to the current work or need serious context changes.
What would a troper usually do with pages like this? Should I move what's already there into a new index for this "preboot", or would it be best to scrap everything and start anew?
Thanks in advance!
openMultiple headers in work pages Webcomic
I want to make a work page for a webcomic that has two seasons. I have around 20 tropes for each season, and there's no overlap between the lists. Can I add another header after the tropes in the first season? Is this an acceptable practice? (Off the top of my head, I can name Tall Girl as an example of what I'm going for.)
openCreator pronoun changes and conversational pages Webcomic
(Could've sworn I sent this already, but apparently it disappeared into the ether after I hit submit. Anyways...)
Last February, Gigi DG, author of Hiimdaisy and Cucumber Quest, stated that they'd prefer to go by they/them pronouns. I'd made a number of edits across the site to reflect this, but while altering some lingering uses of their previous pronouns that I'd previously missed, I noticed that some of those cases were on Headscratchers.Hiimdaisy, which centers around user-to-user conversation (i.e. asking questions about a work and having them answered). The last edit on that page was 6 years ago.
With this in mind, I was wondering, is it okay to change a creator's pronouns on a Headscratchers page (and other conversation-based pages) or should they be left alone in those cases? I haven't taken action on the matter yet, and thought it'd be best to ask about it first. Edited by bowserbros
openWebcomics of the... Webcomic
Do we put webcomics into the "Webcomics of the..." indices based on their start date alone? What happens if a webcomic begins in December 2019 and runs for several years in the 2020s?
If we aren't classifying webcomics based on their start date, what do we do about webcomics that ran half-and-half in each decade (e.g. 2018-2021)?
openNeed to know this Webcomic
Is there a place where i can suggest works to be added? I want to see Mirror Stories by Lancer Gaming added to the wiki but don’t have the self-confidence or writing skills to add it myself, please and thank you.
openElf and Warrior edits Webcomic
It's been almost a year since I started editing Elf & Warrior. Can someone please check that page to see what needs to be fixed? Formatting, indentations, whatever you can find.
Edited by 1nightonlyopenprobably stupid question regarding linking Webcomic
So an online author has both the rebooted and old versions of their sorry up online but the trope page for it only has the rebooted version linked. Can the old version be linked to the page?
open About a work I made Webcomic
I would like to make a page for work I made on here. If I haven't violated any of the rules on the page (i.e. the work is tropable, i will not add subjectives/audience reactions/trivia/recommendations on the work, and I won't Entry Pimp myself), is it still considered Auto-Erotic Troping, therefore not allowing me to?
Edited by nonalienpersonyepopen Japanese transliteration/pronunciation help Webcomic
Satoko and Nada has this entry:
- Fainting: Satoko faints after Kevin mistakenly reads "あたり", "atari" as in "per", on a drink bottle as "atari" as in "winner" and thinks he won a contest.
Presumably there is a pronunciation difference here, but the Romanizations do not reflect it. Can someone give me some pointers?
open[Resolved] Girl Genius: Secret Blueprints as Trivia? Webcomic
Trivia.Girl Genius contains info about "The Secret Blueprints". While I take these are some sort of Bonus Material, I know for sure there are a few problems with it.
- It takes 92% of the page with a 46k symbols on something not tropes or production info, and nobody touched it since 2012. It goes into excessive details describing the contents of each book, which sounds more like Recap than trivia.
- It says "also available on Girl Genius Wiki". As far as I can tell, that was never true, unless there was another wiki.
- Some choice words and second person writing makes me wonder if it's plagiarized, which I can't confirm myself.
Any suggestions what to do here?
Edited by AmonimusopenAkaiShadow Webcomic
I could've swore this troper existed before today, but apparently not.
Okay, so Akai Shadow is apparently like half a day old and has four edits, and all four of them are changing the prounouns of Gigi Digi, creator of Hiimdaisy and Cucumber Quest, to she/her when just a month ago they asked to be referred to with they/them pronouns. And yes, this Tweet was linked in all of bowserbros' edits that changed the pronouns used on the page to their preferred ones.
open"Characters" with no tropes attached to them Webcomic
Hello everyone,
In the characters page of Lets Play Webtoon, I noticed an intriguing issue: several characters, the "Emote-kuns", are added with no tropes attached to them, and the "characters" in question are just Anthropomorphic Personification of emotions that never get any lines, don't have facial expressions and are, more often than not, used as jokes or used to highlight an actual character's state of mind, and forgotten quickly afterwards. Furthermore, a lot of these "characters" have completely white/black entries, including their own folder name.
Basically, I think that the entire subsection of Emote-kuns should be axed, but I would like confirmation first before doing so.
Edited by NonoRobotopenIs This Allowed Webcomic
So I had noticed that the YMMV page for It's (Not) Your Fault had a crossed-out Canon Defilement entry added with no information on it and no edit reason added by Braz. I don't know if there is exactly anything about this in the rules but it feels weird that someone is adding this entry hidden for no reason. Again it's not like they are hiding a ZCE the entry is just being added already hidden.

I am really new to this site. I actually made this account at the behest of friends who have been following my webcomic for the last four years because they thought it'd be fun to all contribute to a tropes page for it. I've been working on setting it up for everyone to contribute but I've been working in the sandbox for it. It's getting very late though and I don't think I have enough to officially publish it so I wanted to get back to it tomorrow. Can I just submit it to be saved as a sort of draft in the sandbox?
Sorry if this is a dumb question but I've been looking around for anyone who might have asked it before and found nothing.
