Undertale I feel may have a trope inflation problem.

I'm generally against it because I think that it makes the mistake of assuming static characters. Characters often change in unpredictable ways between works. We don't trope off-screen events, just how they affect on-screen events, like a Noodle Incident.

Tommy Green and White are the same character, because that was a continuous arc. But Tommy Red was many years later, now a teacher instead of a student, the leader de jure instead of lancer or leader de facto.

Anakin Skywalker between the prequels and the original trilogy is very different. His son Luke also drastically changed between original and sequel.

Generally speaking, I'm against these characters getting all of their tropes combined into one page because it makes it look like we're another fandom wikia, where the article is about the character's history. We're not. We're about the tropes. Some of Cory Matthews's characterization from when he was a kid remain when he grows up, but he's not a Cool Teacher in the fifth grade or even in college. Despite being the same franchise, the individual works are set very far apart. I don't think sequels from ten years later should be considered characterization for characters from the original work. That's like putting Disappeared Dad as characterization for Inuyasha on the first episode of Inuyasha.

I don't know about Monokuma, but the Terry in FF and the Terry in Ko F are technically not the same character(FF and Ko F are not in the same continuity). So it makes sense for him to have a separate entries in each series. As not every trope applies to both versions.

When push comes to shove, you gotta do what you love, even if it's not a good idea.

I did say that two would not be enough. However if they are canon character I don't really see a problem. Though Tommy as the Zeo Red is the same character as him green. He was Black when he was a teacher.

Though I know Luke is listed together but different folders. Same with Tommy. Each form has it's folder.

That said you do have good points.

My mistake. I think I conflated the Zeo season with the later one. I didn't watch much of either. (Heck, I only watched the later one to see him return to the screen; I'm not even certain that I watched him transform if he was a Black ranger.)

For Undertale, could we merge the Anomaly (does that even deserve an entry? It's basically troping the player) and Asriel back into Characters.Undertale Spoiler Characters, or maybe make Asriel a separate folder on Characters.Undertale Flowey?

For Steven Universe, would merging Greg, Lars, and Sadie all into Characters.Steven Universe Humans make that page too long? We could also merge Lars into Characters.Steven Universe Off Colors.

Yes we could merge the Anomaly and Asriel back into Spoiler Characters, or yes we could merge Flowey and Asriel's pages?

I agree with all the suggested requirements in the first post, especially the 40,000-50,000 byte requirement imo because it can be a little cumbersome navigating a character page when there are like 150+ tropes they have. I think fitting one the one of the three criteria, not having to fit all, would work.

I have always been against the 13 Reasons Why ones existing I would be in favor of them being merged back.

Yeah… I merged them back and sent them to the cutlist cause they're way too short and the Students page is nowhere near close to breaking

I've been going through and reviewing a lot of the pages I've created. Some were definitely way above the byte minimum or made up a huge chunk of their group page, while others could probably be cut or redirected.

I'm wondering if legacy characters and characters w/ others should have different rules, cuz I think it is valid in some cases, especially if the other forms are very spoiler heavy, to create distinct pages.

Kate is over 3000 words 20,000 bytes and her original page is no where near long enough to need it. Jimmy is 1000 words and 11,000 bytes. His og page is a little long, but could have been solved by making a group.

I have a bit of a weird situation with one of my old pages Mortal Kombat - Shinnok (which was made before the index even existed), it isn't big enough to warrant one but the problem is Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero was really massive and close to reaching the limit which forced me to split him off since Quan Chi and Shinnok were taking up the majority of the space. I am thinking I could make a page like Mortal Kombat – Shinnok and Quan Chi which would be big enough with the two combined and fix the issue wth Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero.

Should the Shinnok page just be moved back to the main character page? Having him and Quan share a page is just...odd to me. It's not like those two are connected at the hip.
