This is a thread for checking up on pages for works that have not been released yet, to make sure that they are not straying into rampant speculation or posting crazy behind the scenes spoilers. You can bring both individual examples or entire pages to attention here.
In extreme cases, any page can be locked, but hopefully that won't be necessary.
(As these pages often are hit with zero-context examples and shoehorning as well, all four - speculation, spoilers, ZCEs, and shoehorning may get addressed simultaneously.)
The policy governing this effort is Creating A Work Page For An Unreleased Work. Cleanup is being tracked using the Unreleased Works sandbox.
All pages for unreleased works should include a %% comment at the top of the page, confirming the policy and linking to this thread and the Administrivia page. It doesn't have to be exactly the same as the example provided here, but this provides a template to work with.
%% Speculative troping is not allowed on TV Tropes.
%%
%% We trope what DOES happen in works, not what MIGHT happen or is LIKELY to happen.
%%
%% For unreleased works where all we have to go on is advertising and other supplemental materials, we have some detailed guidelines, which can be found at Administrivia/CreatingAWorkPageForAnUnreleasedWork.
%%
%% NOTE - these rules also mean that unreleased works should only have one page image, and that image should NOT be changed again until the work is released.
%%
%% If you have questions, please consult the Unreleased Work Speculation Cleanup thread at https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=15514631230A64268600
%%
%% Thank you.

Cut it since there hasn't been a single trailer, which means there's nothing to trope.
Trailer's coming Thursday, but go ahead.
The “How to play as Lu Bu” promotional video for Total War: Three Kingdoms has the narrator note that simply recruiting him as a wandering officer is “not the most reliable method to pursue Lu Bu”. I feel this could be noted as a Shout-Out to Dynasty Warriors.
It certainly seems to be, but I'd hold off on adding it.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Should Spider-Man: Far From Home be locked until release? There are more speculation added since the last cleanup.
The biggest changes were made by one troper, Mandolin Magi, with both speculation and ZCE violations. Has anyone tapped them on the shoulder yet?
I've reminded the of this cleanup thread for future reference.
He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.Dark Phoenix has quiete a lot of speculation.
- Book Ends: As a Call-Forward to the original movie's ending, a scene of Xavier and Erik playing chess was added into the film during reshoots.
- Darker and Edgier: The film was described as the most sinister and somber of the franchise, with James McAvoy saying that it's the most emotional X-Men film he's worked on. The behind-the-scenes photos invoke this with Magneto unconscious on the ground and a funeral being shown, hinting at a major death.
- Foregone Conclusion: We already know that Scott, Storm, Xavier, Hank and Jean will survive because of the Everybody Lives ending of X-Men: Days of Future Past.
- Grand Finale: Fox shifted the promotion of the film from "the first movie in a new trilogy" to "what may very well be the last movie in this series" once Disney's acquisition of the company picked up steam. Case in point, the trailer itself is set to "The End", with an air of finality to the story. Simon Kinberg eventually referred to this as the Grand Finale of the series before the inevitable reboot into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
- Saved by Canon: Several of the X-Men in this movie (including Jean) were shown to be alive and well in the "good present" scene in X-Men: Days of Future Past, assuming that this movie is going to lead there.
- Truer to the Text: The plan is to be a more faithful adaptation of The Dark Phoenix Saga than X-Men: The Last Stand. An early sequence even features an adaptation of the shuttle incident that led to the original emergence of the Phoenix. The official synopsis also explicitly establishes the Phoenix as its own entity independent of Jean.
I also think this example is a shoehorned one:
- The Bus Came Back: An object example; the original telepathy-blocking helmet used by Sebastian Shaw and later Magneto in X-Men: First Class makes a reappearance in one of Erik's trunks.
And now that YMMV.Sonic The Hedgehog has been locked, should we wait until it gets released on November 2019? Just wondering.

He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.Generally speaking, if a page has been locked for this kind of stuff, it stays locked until release. The same should happen here.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.I figured that might be the case.
He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.Someone recreated Crisis on Infinite Earths (2019) despite the fact there's still no trailer released. There are only two tropes and both are Speculative Troping. It's based on a reveal in the latest Arrow final but who says that Screw Destiny won't be at play? Permission to cut it again?

Might warrant cut and lock by the sounds of it. Did the person who remade it get any speculation notifiers?
and I'd motion to send it to the Temporary Red Link Club too.
Done.
Now should we keep Film.Birds Of Prey 2020? The only released footage is a 20 second teaser with Harley Quinn posing.
Crisis on Infinite Earths (2019) was recreated. Resubmitted it to cutlist, as it only has 2 examples.
Great. I might request a lock in order to prevent an Edit War.
I've submitted a lock request for Crisis on Infinite Earths (2019).
Why not just leave it existing?

Has to have at least 3 valid examples and something that won't be out for a while will just attract more speculation.
Is that in the rules? I'm having trouble finding it.
The clearest mention I can find is on How to Create a Work's Page, which is a little odd (I thought it was Three Rules of Three, but that's about tropes, not works). But that is the rule this thread uses.

How long should it take for the "unreleased work" banner on John Wick 3 to be lifted? Would it be today, since it came out in the States today, or would we leave it til it's available in all markets?
I'm not seeing Any Speculation. That all seems to be based on Word of God and announcements.
Things are really about to get Fun around here
It: Chapter Two (that currently has no promotional material) is mostly based on words from creators and assumption that things will play out like in the novel. May I cut it?
