Discuss TV Tropes itself, such as observations you've made about the site/forum/wiki.
NOTE: Keep it civil; try not to get into any Flame Bait-y territory, per the forum rules (in particular, drama importation and popcorn posting are not allowed, and this thread is for discussion about the site and not the users). In addition, while discussing the Edit Banned thread is not prohibited on its own, discussing and/or alluding to specific cases is not permitted.
One thing I've noticed is that for all how the page for They Might Be Giants claims them to be the unofficial official band of this wiki, there's relatively few people on this site who seem to ever reference them.

He may be a giant, nightmarish brute, but like all villains in this series,he sure can sing.I appreciate the Word Cruft article calling out "*shudder*" as an overused term under Gratuitous Emoting: That phrase was all over Nightmare Fuel entries and it drove me nuts.
Hopefully I'm not overstepping a boundary in saying this, but some parts of that page, while I'm not arguing against the points being made specifically, feel kind of mean. Like the "Science cannot explain it" at the start of the Mind-Boggling Verbal Tics bullet point or this bit on in the About Rhetorical Question bullet point: "Unfortunately, an explosion in a lead paint chips factory in Montana has left a fair chunk of the internet with the approximate IQ of a brain-damaged gibbon." Are bits like this really necessary in informing tropers what writing choices they should avoid using?
I’m gonna put some Gloom in your eye.Okay, you have three guesses as to who wrote all that on the page several years ago, and the first two don't count.
It was the fast one again
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI'm wondering if Fighteer's behind it, it sounds like his brand of snark. I'd say maybe Eddie but I don't know how anti-Word Cruft he even was.
Ah, ninja'd so I look like I'm missing the point.

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Main.Word Cruft is a redirect now, so you can check the history if you want to verify
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessOooh... that page did not used to say "brain-dead." It said something less PC.
I shouldn't be surprised... back in the early 2010s I guess you could just straight-up put slurs in guidelines pages.

Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessIt's not our fault. Back in the 2000s or very early 2010s, people simply were much less offendable and/or such words weren't seen as negatively. Whether or not that's a good thing is up to you to decide.
On an unrelated note, we now have 600000 articles!
Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)I actually agree that the Word Cruft page may be a little too snarky for its own good. Maybe bring it up in Outdated Pages if you're concerned?
Damn, we've grown.
TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallAnd about a tenth of them are Recap/ pages, of course. Are you going to make a thread about it like you did for 50K? (Good stuff for Trope Report, by the way.)

I'd like to apologize for all this.Nah, I think it's not that major to need a whole thread. More likely at the big 1,000,000. However, it definitely deserves a mention on Trope Report and Timeline.TV Tropes.

Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)I have a slight disdain for examples that bring up other works. It's understandable why it happens (Fan Myopia and all that jazz), so I can't say it's odd to see stuff like "X doesn't do this trope as much as much as Y, which is good considering how much it ruined Y" stapled at the end of a YMMV entry. It can be good shorthand. But only when the reader in question knows Y well enough to understand the comparison, which isn't exactly a guarantee even if Friendly Fandoms is in play.

I feel like the sheer amount of trope pages is overwhelming. There is no way I could plausibly browse them all in an effort to contribute to the pages for my favorite media!
Still, as an older user who's been around for a while (off and on) it is nice to see the wiki thriving as it is.

Even when your hope is gone, move along, move along just to make it throughThere's a page for DethroningMoment.Animation Domination High Def, but there isn't an actual work page for Animation Domination High Def. Literally the main presence this YouTube channel has on the website is through peopple complaining about it (specifically the "Scientifically Accurate (X)" videos).
Please visit the "AITA" forum gameThat's honestly impressive.
A different sort of dedication, I suppose.
Even when your hope is gone, move along, move along just to make it throughTo be clear, if you can't keep track of every single trope, that's okay. There's like 30000 of them, no-one can manage everything at once. Just stick to what you need at the moment, or perhaps what you want to get more wicks, as long the examples are actually examples.
Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)I wonder how many people learned the word "egregious" from this site.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. An egregious number, we presume
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing....All of them, probably.
A great Mascot Mook.
Parental Bonus, I guess.
Speaking of that, I just noticed that Wakko's face in that page picture looks hilariously weird.
