Cause this needs to get done, and a couple of people working on +10,000 wicks just won't cut it.
What needs to be done:
- Clean up every HONF page, removing first person, this troper, context-less examples, etc.
- After being cleaned, move the page to the Nightmare Fuel namespace. If it is locked, you can ask for it to be unlocked here. See How to Move a Page for more information.
- Remove all wicks to Nightmare Fuel, High Octane Nightmare Fuel, and Accidental Nightmare Fuel that do not appear on a YMMV page, a Nightmare Fuel page, or a trope description.
- Change correct High Octane Nightmare Fuel wicks to Nightmare Fuel.
Add finished pages to the sandbox page so we can keep track.

I just moved HighOctaneNightmareFuel.Not Always Right to NightmareFuel.Not Always Right. The page looks to be all right. There's no "this troper" or personal anecdotes.
Fixed the Nightmare Fuel page for The Police.

Moved the contents of HighOctaneNightmareFuel.Mortal Kombat to NightmareFuel.Mortal Kombat and threw the former on the cutlist.
You might want to check the number of inbounds for that page before cutlisting it.

Also: the page for Flannery O'Connor has only one entry. Said entry (for Wise Blood) has a separate works page. Should the O'Connor page be moved, or the lone entry moved to a new page for Wise Blood and the O'Connor page cut if eligible?

Someone had just moved a bunch of pages from HighOctaneNightmareFuel/ to NightmareFuel/ without cleaning them. I just went through and removed the This Troper, personal anecdotes, and natter from the pages that had them.

I created a sandbox page for HONF Migration Project. This should help us to determine how many HONF pages still have to be moved. Some of the pages can't be cutlisted due to having over 10 inbounds, and I'm working to separate those from the pages that still have to be moved.
Restored the Nightmare Fuel page for Yellow Submarine.
Successfully transplanted NF examples for nitro+, Pathologic, and Red Dead Redemption and created their NF redirects.

Not about the cleanup strictly, but while going through discussion pages, I've heard several complaints about the HONF icon. Is there a chance that it will be removed once the cleanup is over?

He may mean to have it removed from pages where the HONF tab is now a redirect to the NF one; at the moment, both show up so it looks like there are two subpages.
Personally, I hope that once the cleanup is done, the HONF icon will become the NF one and the current NF one (the gray face) will be done away with.

Just wanted to remind everyone that in addition to culling out the HONF wicks and moving those pages, there are still a metric fuckton of NF pages, including the YMMV pages, that need to be checked for NF sinkholes and otherwise improper use of the term. We've made a lot of progress (and huge kudos to everyone who's been working on this), but we've got a ways to go before we're done.
