Inspired by this thread, I've noticed that this wiki doesn't have a dedicated cleanup thread for negativity.
As we all know, Complaining About Shows You Don't Like, Creator Bashing and other negativity isn't desired on the wiki, except in a few selected areas like reviews and several Darth Wiki pages (and even then, with limitations). And yet, it's one of the most common sins wiki contributors can make.
So, if you find a page, TLP or discussion whose content seems like a straight-up insult or any other bitching - including complainy soapboxing -, you might ask here for help with removing said content.
The sandbox for this project is located at Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining.

Yeah, cut, it doesn't even explain the actual trope.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessWe might have to take a close look at YMMV.Bayonetta 3 thanks to Hellena Taylor's continued controversies digging herself deeper.
MB Pending | MB Drafts | MB DatesSo far the only items that even relate the all that are No Such Thing as Bad Publicity and Tainted by the Preview, the latter which is entirely from a frame of reference before all the news broke and neither of which seem to be a problem, and one Memetic Mutation, the “There is too much news”, which admittedly does have a disproportionately long note.
SoundCloudBeen following it and outside of that long note which could be trimmed down it's not been home to that much in the way of issues. The Die for Our Ship entry could use some rewriting though. It has indeed been the source of a lot of social media controversy (and unfortunately also a lot of biphobic nonsense), but the example as written is too much of a case of He Panned It Now He Sucks.

3 I've inspected that page history. While the actor controversy is hot topic, it doesn't seem to be causing problems yet.
This edit is definitely bashing and was already removed, so it may be something to watch out for.
There's also another thing that I'll bring up elsewhere.

TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupReposting (with many changes).
I was thinking of converting a Take That, Scrappy! entry from YMMV.My Brave Pony Starfleet Magic to a Catharsis Factor one because the entry is misused as the former. This is because the character is hated by the work's detractors instead the work's supporters. Plus, the fanfic has far more detractors than fans.
For the record, part of why I'm bringing this up is because I want to be sure the new entry doesn't have complaining since the previous does.
Ace Ray: And you... will YOU STOP WITH THAT RHYMING!
EDIT: I changed "they" in the second entry to "his detractors" to specify.

The proposed rewrite doesn't sound like complaining to me, it's just stating the reputation that character has with the fanfic's detractors.
Thanks for your input.
The quote can be cut cuz it's not really even explanatory.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. How about instead of asking others to take a look and do all the work, you bring up any content you feel is questionable here for review?
I didn't choose the troping life, the troping life chose meOkay then. The first piece of questionable content I spotted was the page quote.

On the note of My Brave Pony, Dakari-King Mykan needs a serious sweep for complaining since half of the tropes entries mock or insult him.

Why waste time when you can see the last sunset last? That even got own cleanup thread.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupAnd on the subject of My Brave Pony, there's this last line (which I bolded) from the Fall of Starfleet, Rebirth of Friendship section from AdaptationalVillainy.Fan Works.
- Rhymey is a sociopathic, envious Jerkass who openly brainwashed his girlfriend into loving him. Given the original's status as the most hated character, the readers aren't complaining.
Proposed rewrite for the Die for Our Ship entry on the YMMV.Bayonetta 3 page in an attempt to try to make it less complain-y sounding. Likely not perfect, so I am open to suggestions.
Honestly though, it's probably best to cut the entry and wait til things die down and see where the shipping landscape goes before having this example. Far too soon to really get an idea on where things go.
- Die for Our Ship: Bayonetta/Jeanne shippers were devastated by the game definitively sinking the Bayonetta x Jeanne ship in favor of canonizing Bayonetta x Luka with the revelation that Viola is their daughter, which has caused Luka to become despised by BayoJeanne shippers as a result. However, given that this game tackles The Multiverse, there's a chance at least one universe had Bayo and Jeanne get together.

Cut away!
The Bayonetta example still needs a bit of work, but it otherwise looks alright.
(x4) Chop chop cop.

How about this, without that blurb.

As written that sounds more like Ship-to-Ship Combat. The older version fit the trope description better re: it being about shippers hating a character because of the way they interfere with their chosen ship, and thus making it clear the ire became aimed at Luka himself, rather than just general disappointment with the story as a whole.
Somewhat related, other editors have re-added the blurbs to No Such Thing as Bad Publicity about Hellena Taylor and the anti-abortion charity. Should we remove it and add a note telling future editors to leave it short and simple?
Edited by AlleyOop on Oct 30th 2022 at 8:30:23 AM
The entry is turning into an even bigger dumping ground for disgruntled Bayo/Luka shippers, it's likely we'll need two entries, one Die for Our Ship entry for the negative response towards Luka and a Ship-to-Ship Combat entry for the angry Bayo/Jeanne shippers and the defensive Bayo/Luka shippers who deny Bayo/Jeanne have any kind of queerness.
- Die for Our Ship: At least one reviewer was rather disappointed by the game definitively sinking the Bayonetta x Jeanne ship and canonizing Bayonetta x Luka — the latter of whom she described as "a simp" and a "pathetic [man-child] who [slobbers] after Bayonetta" — with the revelation that Viola is their daughter. However, given that this game tackles The Multiverse, there's a chance at least one universe had Bayo and Jeanne get together. Critics of the pairing also tend to downplay Luka's importance both to the story and to Bayonetta herself, labeling him a minor character compared to Jeanne (despite them having similar amounts of screen time in the two previous games), claim that Bayonetta x Jeanne was officially canon instead of simply hinted at in the previous games (much as Bayonetta x Luka was), claim that Bayonetta choosing him revokes her status as a feminist icon, etc. They also tend to use Kamiya's explanation for why Bayonetta wouldn't commit to Luka in previous games in a way that in hindsight he probably didn't mean.
Some people seriously need to calm down. Why do they it take so personally when something in a work doesn't conclude the way they imagined?
I'd just zap everything from the "However, given that this game tackles..." part onward (since it already veers on the denial and bargaining stages of grief from disgruntled fans, which we can do without).

Cut it.
