Alright, so in TRS Badass Gay came up for discussion and it was agreed that there appears to big problem with the Badass X tropes in general, which needs to be sorted out until something can be ruled on for Badass Gay.

Noted Problems include:
- Tropes are just listings of characters people thing are badass who happen to have a certain trait. (The Badass + Trait Problem)
- Badass X as a naming scheme is actually very vague and doesn't give a lot of insight into what the character trope actually is, assuming it is a trope.
- Badass X as a naming scheme proliferates the use of Badass + Trait 'tropes'.
Suggested things to do include:
- Make it a requirement that a badass character trope means a character is "badass because of a trait", or "badass in spite of a trait".
- Renaming away from the Badass X naming scheme as much as possible.
- Cut, redefine or re-purpose things that are just Badass + trait.
There are also a lot of tropes that seem to be valid character-types, but have the naming scheme 'Badass X', when there's more to the trope than that. There are also a lot of prop or event or whatever tropes that need to be gone through as well.

Note that the Spanish version is still functioning as a trope.
^Spanish wiki is a whole other thing that I've been trying to standardise then clean-up before getting round to bringing it up. However, that trope is a bit... better... than the English one was. First, it's called "Hard Grandpa" with the redirect "Little old grandpa's a beast", and is about old men tackling the misconception that they're weak. Lack of examples helps, probably.

Though "old men tackling the misconception that they're weak" sounds like it could be an English trope if one doesn't already exist.

Not all badass tropes: ones like Handicapped Badass are being kept since it's meaningful for a character to be badass despite a disability. Badass Grandpa is being phased out in favor of other tropes that fit better; Badass Princess was similarly turned into a disambiguation, and I believe Badass Gay is next on the chopping block (badass and gay isn't very meaningful, and we already have Agent Peacock and Manly Gay).
A couple of days ago, barfseverywhere re-added a Badass Gay entry that was deleted by Chaotic Novelist, who cited dewicking.
- Badass Gay: She is known as one of the most powerful Gunslingers in history, and during her time secretly researching Rasputin, she fell in love with a woman named Camrin Dumuzi.
The reason for re-adding? "just gals bein' pals"
Entries like these do nothing except convince me that Badass Gay as it's currently described is not a trope. Being badass + gay is chairs, while it could qualify if it was because or despite being gay.

I have been helping in the elimination of Badass Grandpa and wanted to inform that there are only left 1346 wicks.
In addition, the vast majority of wicks that were in the Characters sub-pages were already eliminated with the exception of two ghost wicks

Uhhh one of the Badass Grandpa wicks goes to this thing. Is this able to be recreated by a mod, or is it one of those weird exceptions?

I got the character pages besides that one, the franchise pages, and the A-G Fan Fic pages. We're now down to 1158 wicks.

Can I make a motion during this to rename Cool Old Guy into something more descriptive like Spry Old Guy, Active Old Guy, Age Hasnt Caught Up With Them, or Keeps Up With The Kids.
I feel like "cool" can be as ambiguous as "badass".
Renames need to be suggested in TRS.
