Something I'm actually confused about: I noticed some fanfic recomendation pages have comments added to entries where writer kinda trashes on the recomendation. Is that actually allowed?

So back in early January, I posited the idea of a Transformers / Medabots hybrid.

Called myself crazy, and then forgot about it (though some of you on the Transformers thread thought it could work).

This morning, I found myself thinking about it again, and I remembered how the Medabots anime (first season) got real crazy with the reveal that Medabots had been a utopian alien society that nuked itself into oblivion via excessive warfare, and that the Rare medals housed the memories of the original survivors and were never made by humans....and suddenly I realized how easily you could transport that origin to Cybetronians.

Hell, the fact that they were originally made to be consumer products by the Quintessons only furthers that.

And then the words Attack mode! Bumblebee! popped into my head.

After that, I even considered a nod to the One Game for the Price of Two mentality that the series stole from Pokémon and other Mons games by having Bumblebee as the Obvious Metabee and Cliffjumper as Warbandit, with Tigatron as the Rokusho and Cheetor as Sumilidon, and....

Listen. I need you all to stop me. I need help. 0_o

It works well. It works almost too well. Like, the hardest part is figuring out which humans to pair with what Transformers, why Cybertronians are just being used as kids toys and companions to people, but if you go into the meta ness of adult collectors, along with using them in actual day to day life (many of them are construction workers and doctors and shit).

Maybe have a disaster on earth that made it necessary for humans to seek an outside solution, and along come the Quintessons, with their new fangled transforming robots that can help rebuild the world.

But the Cybertronians are slaves to the Quintessons, so the Humans help them out. In gratitude, the Cybertronian race pledges to help humanity continue with their rebuilding, and the humans sear to provide Transformers with a home.

Flash forward a few centuries and the two groups have fully assimilated and boom! You got your Transformers Mon World.

.....I really do need to be stopped.

A crossover between Batman and Sailor Moon, where Damian Wayne is Tuxedo Mask. The Sailor Guardians are given their dub names, due to now residing in Gotham City.

I don't see this being an idea many would like, due to Damian potentially being a bit Marty Stu-ish (Batman's son with one of his enemies, as well as the reincarnated lover of Princess Serenity/Sailor Moon) and having little-to-nothing in common with Mamoru Chiba, who he replaces.

Isn't he also, like, 10?

The fic would be set years after his Robin days, so he’s closer to Mamoru’s age. But thanks for bringing up that concern, and I’m sorry I didn’t make it clear in my previous post.

Another crossover idea. Shin Megami Tensei and Puella Magi Madoka Magica.

The concept that I had is that demons start to invade about 13-15 years after the events of Rebellion. The protagonist would be Madoka’s not-so-little-anymore brother Tatsuya Kaname, who is more or less the typical young man SMT tends to favor as protagonists.

Some details include:

• Homura basically fills the role of Lucifer, while Sayaka, Mami, Kyoko and Nagisa are the archangels.
• The Cathedral of Shadows are handled by Kyoko’s father, who is still alive in this reality.
• Kyosuke Kamijou would be a minor antagonist. His battle would likely take place inside the ruins of an auditorium.
• The Law Faction wants to turn Madoka (once she regains her goddess form) into a extension of YHVH/The Great Will. Doing this would result in Madoka’s personality being wiped away in favor of YHVH’s.

Now, as for why this wouldn’t be a very good idea:

• First of all, it feels more like a Transplanted Character Fic where the Madoka cast is thrown into an SMT story rather than an actual Fusion Fic.
• The protagonist is a very minor character from the original anime, rather than one of the main characters like Madoka herself. The fact that he was a toddler in the anime is also why there’s such a big Time Skip between Rebellion and the fic to begin with.
• The fic takes liberties with the events of Rebellion and its aftermath in order for the story to even happen. This is at least partly because I had started thinking about this idea before even watching the film.
• The idea of having Lucifer and the archangels replaced by Homura and the three other magical girls would be too complicated to fully justify since I could have included them anyways. Even though Homura does become a devil-like figure in Rebellion, it’s a big stretch to say that she and Lucifer are anything alike.

A Live A Live / Garfield crossover in which Odie is one of the incarnations of Odio.

Another Madoka Magica crossover idea:

H20 Mermaids but the main trio becomes magical girls instead. Their flaws and failings are exposed as they realize that wishes aren't free and power doesn't make you special.

Cleo would become yandere for Lewis, facing off against Charlotte, who would be driven to making a contract out of desperately wanting to help but being LockedOutOfTheLoop. And it would end tragically, because that's how I like my fanfic :)

my current fanfic (or art, honestly) idea is something involving the NU: carnival guys as squid people, because i do not control the hyperfixation. brb while i try to figure out how to weave all of the intricacies and fantasy-world trappings of Klein with the modern... everything about Inkopolis.^note also because Yakumo as an Octoling would be really cute...
